Slaying the Benevodons: Part 2
Using Flammie, the heroes rode to the Fiery Gorge to slay the next Benevodon. As they arrived, they found the path on the left open to them as they proceeded down it and soon reached a platform where there were three pits in three different directions and floating down in front of them was a bird shaped head coated in flames as five fireballs spun around it as it then screeched at them.
"I am Xan Bie, by Lady Anise's will, I will reduce you all to ashes!" The Benevodon known as Xan Bie said.
"As expected of the Benevodon of Fire to be quite hotheaded." David said.
"Impudent little… Are you disrespecting me?!" Xan Bie asked.
"Maybe." David said.
"You die first!" Xan Bie said as it launched one of its fireballs at David. He responds in kind by firing an ice blast. "Grrr….You will all die!"
"I think not." Selena said as she summoned Lexida.
"Shall we dance?" Francisca asked.
"We shall." Selena said. "Resplendent Blades!" she called as she threw a frozen sword at high speed.
"Arh!" Xan Bie yelled as the attack hit him. "You won't defeat me with ice!"
"Actually, I think we can." Francisca said as she fired crystals at Xan Bie.
"Gah! This isn't normal ice. What are you two!?" Xan Bie screamed.
"Me? Just a Half-Lunarian punk from Tokyo." David said.
"And I am Francisca of Hyness' Mage Sisters, and his apprentice." Francisca said.
"Urgh...I will not be defeated by a few puny ice mages!" Xan Bie said.
"Then how about me?" Captain Cold asked, firing a stream of ice at Xan Bie.
"Don't forget me!" Frosta said, jumping in and blasted Xan Bie with bolts of spreading ice.
"Take this!" Miriam said, unleashing the magic in Blue Rose which launched multiple icicles at Xan Bie.
"Farewell." Selena said.
"Graaaaaah! Lady Anise...send their souls to the afterlife!" Xan Bie said before he bursted into a dome of light.
"And then there were three." Ajna said.
"Yep. Just the Moon and the Wood, then we can take the fight to Anise's front door." David said.
"Then we're off to Chartmoon Tower." Ace said.
The group then set off to Chartmoon Tower and soon arrived as they then began making their ascent as they soon reached the top. Just then a giant arm was seen rising from the side of the tower and rising up was a giant bipedal demonic goat as it roared at the group.
"I am Dolan, Benevodon of the Moon. My powers of the Moon shall rend you all asunder!" Dolan said. "Wait… I sense a familiar power…" he looked at David. "You. You are Lunarian, aren't you?"
"On my mother's side, yes. And although I lived life as a human, I am proud of the lineage she has given me." David said.
"And I am Kirumi Tojo. It is because of a blood transfusion that I was able to attain his blood and gain the same powers they do." Kirumi said.
"I'm not surprised you've heard of them, though. After all, Fusoya did mention that they lived for a very long time in solitude on the moon." David said.
"I respect your kind. But why do you go against me?" Dolan asked.
"Because unfortunately, Anise is planning on destroying the world. We don't plan on letting that happen." David said.
"I see. Then show me, show me the strength of your resolve!" Dolan said.
"Ready, everyone? Let's rock and roll!" David said.
"Yes, this is the blade that shall sunder the moon." Miriam said as she drew Zangetsuto.
"My fists shall smash you into the earth!" Dolan said as he began to smash everything around.
"Holy!" Kirumi said as a burst of light flashed at Dolan.
"Crimson Storm, away!" Miriam called as she launched a wave of red energy, causing Dolan to screech in pain.
"Holy Lance!" Sectonia said as she launched spears of light at Dolan.
"Ungh...Impressive. I commend you all for your strength." Dolan said.
"This really is most unfortunate. If we had met under different circumstances. I really believe we could've been friends." David said.
"Ha...funny. To be honest...I feel the same way. Maybe in the next life." Dolan said as he faded away.
"Perhaps so." David said with his hands together.
"All that's left now is the Wood Benevodon." Hope said.
"In the Woods of Wandara." Ace said.
The group soon left Chartmoon Tower and flew to Wandara Woods and soon made their way through the labyrinth-like forest and soon reached the end as they saw a large pumpkin sitting on top of a hill of vines and leaves as it began shaking and soon turned to show an evil smirk as two vines with flytrap heads popped up on both sides before it screeched with a devilish smirk.
"Oh, this might look like something I could conjure up. Too bad Anise has him on this rampage." Poison Ivy said.
"Blarhgabahabaaha!" The Benevodon said.
"Not much of a talker, it seems." David said.
"It would seem so." Simon said.
"So, guess we should get down to business, then." David said.
"I've got no complaints here." Poison Ivy said.
"Alrighty then, let's make some Pumpkin Pie!" Mari said.
"Explode!" Angela called as fire bursted around Mispolm.
"Marduk, come forth!" Riesz called, as an armored being with four angelic wings appeared as he launched a blast of magic, damaging Mispolm.
"I hope you're ready! Arcfire!" Himiko said as she launched a huge fireball at Mispolm.
"Feel the flames of my sword and fiery heart!" Flamberge said. "Flame X-Slash!" she called slashing an X at Mispolm.
"Blaaaaaaaargh!" Mispolm screamed as it soon exploded into a burst of light.
"Alright. That's seven Benevodons. The Mana Sword is still not at full power, but it's powerful enough to bring the fight to Anise and finish this." Cheetah said.
"Then let us go. To the final battle!" Ace said.
