How….appalling!
Everything she was seeing in front of her. These disgusting images before her at this very moment. There was no hiding the look of disgust from appearing across her face. There was no hiding how unamused she is at the current moment. All of these images. These abominations created by mankind. It simply made her want to throw up. Simply made her want to tear her own hair out. So much disgust that without a care in the world she crushes the magazine in her hands into a fairly large paper ball with ease and flicks it away over her shoulder towards an already large growing pile of crumpled up magazines right behind her chair before reaching out to grab a fresh magazine from the stack to her right. Her lone activity of the day. To flick through countless magazines ripping away at the pages where the selections across them were deemed acceptable. As for those that didn't meet her expectations? Well needless to say they are disposed of. Not in the way she likes too but once nightfall comes they will be. For those that have been found acceptable however could be found neatly stacked to her left. A rather small pile but it was better than the alternative she supposes. At least she thinks so anyways.
" Out of the way old geezers! Daddy's got a brand new ride!"
Glancing over the top of the open magazine in her hands as she sees Lapis staring straight ahead at the television screen that is separated from him by mere inches from how close he is sitting wrinkling her nose in annoyance lowering her gaze back down letting out a sigh with a flick of her fingers gently Lazuli flips to the next page. To this day she still questions herself why she did it. Why she against every fiber in her being had walked into that shop and purchased that despicable machine for him. Maybe it was to award him for being so serious when it came to Gohan's training? Perhaps? It might also have been because she was getting sick of hearing him cry over his former systems no longer functioning properly? What was he really expecting? To find the hut all nice and clean as though someone had been there the whole time? To find his precious console untouched? Fat chance of that!
Idiot.
It's probably the latter at this point but no matter. She could put up with this. She could put up with his shouting at the television screen. At least during the early hours no matter how ridiculous she finds it to be. I mean really! To yell at a video game! Really!? She could put up with hearing him playing on this device every second he wasn't helping with Gohan's training in some way. Even if it meant having to hear the sound of the television's loud volume echoing through the hut for most of the day into the late of night. She supposes he has earned that little reward for all of his effort.
" Yes….wait? No,no,no! That's not fair!"
Okay maybe there were a few things she couldn't put up with and the evidence is there from the way her eyes narrow dangerously at the back of his head finding him having a tantrum like a small child. It was one thing to hear it every now and then but every few minutes? It was starting to get on her nerves. Honestly if it wasn't due to Gohan being here then perhaps there would be an accident occurring inside of this living room? And speaking of Gohan. She can't help but glance in his direction finding the young saiyan's eyes glued to the screen watching her twin brother play on his video game console with nothing but intrigue seen in his eyes. And for that she couldn't blame him. With his background who wouldn't be intrigued by something like this? Hell from what she had seen there were no signs of anything that required electricity inside of Goku's House. No televisions in sight. No computers found anywhere inside of the hut. Hell everything in there looked like his family was forcing him to live in the stone age!
Shivering at just the thought of no electricity unable to help her lips from curling upward from seeing the excitement in the young saiyan's eyes turning her attention back towards the pages of the magazine in her hands Lazuli has to quickly suppress the urge to gag at the first image that comes across her vision.
Is this what women are into these days? How disgusting!
The designs that just mock her from the pages. Those smug looks across the models faces. Hillbillies was more like it to her. Especially with the way they are dressed. The high heel cowboy boots. Those low cut jean shorts. Shaking her head quickly flipping to the next page to escape such disgusting images instantly Lazuli's eyes go as wide as saucers as her face starts to heat up at the very images that come to stare back at her. Now this was something she wasn't expecting to see. Not that she didn't know these kinds of things could be found in these magazines. It is a clothing magazine after all but seeing how….revealing some of these outfits are. Quite revealing. So much skin being shown. Such little fabric being used to cover themselves up. Such images she can't help but stare at with a rapidly glowing bright red face.
How….interesting.
Flipping to the next page seeing even more of these selections across the pages only in different colors taking a peak back over towards an unexpecting Gohan considering herself fortunate that he is well occupied at the moment lifting the magazine up a little higher to cover her face entirely a small grin spreads across Lazuli's face. Very interesting selections indeed. So much so that with haste she quickly rips out the page of the magazine and folds it up nicely before tucking it away inside of her jacket for safekeeping before either of her companions are aware of what she had just done. Yes she definitely could see herself wearing such things in the future. In the very far future but it is always good to be prepared. Who knows? Maybe she will just have to ask what his favorite colors are and see if that can become a reality in the vast future.
Mentally chuckling at the mere thought of Gohan blushing rather badly with this look of nothing but shock across his face with a pleased smile returning her attention fully back towards the magazine as her eyes skim from image to image with this new found motivation suddenly all thoughts of clothing selection goes out the door when she senses it. A small energy signature. A faint energy signature that she can sense coming from the far distance. This energy signature that she has never felt before. That she is sure of. She knows every energy signature on this planet. Knows what the Earth's so-called best energy signatures feel like. But this energy signature is different. Very different. This energy signature that she swears keeps getting stronger and stronger by the second.
Such an unusual energy signature but she isn't the only one that notices it. No, they notice it as well and she couldn't help but feel pleased at just who notices the energy signature first. It just showed how far his training has come. How quickly his attention shifted to look out the only window in the living room. Even quicker than Lapis whom she only now watches pause his ridiculous video game and slowly make his way across the room to stand in front of said window and stare out towards the outside world.
" Man! Smokey The Bear is gonna be pissed!"
Out of all of the things that could have come out of his mouth at a time like this that is what comes out of his mouth!?
It was moments like this where she really questioned if they were truly related. If they were really brother and sister. They just couldn't be could they? Sure he has her good looks but certainly not her intelligence. There was simply put no way they are related and if so what happened? Maybe he got dropped on his head when he was a baby? Yeah! That has to be it! Especially from the way she sees him just staring off into the distance with his hands on his hips shaking his head as though annoyed he didn't get to do this kind of damage. In fact the more she thinks about it the more and more she comes to that very conclusion.
" Seriously? That is what is bothering you about all of this? Not the i don't know the humongous tree standing right in front of you!?"
Earning nothing more than a shrug narrowing her eyes dangerously at the back of his head shaking her head with a sigh Lazuli turns her attention back dead ahead. He might not be bothered with what he is seeing but she sure as hell is. This truly unreal scene. What can only be described as a massive tree. Bigger than any she has ever come across. A tree bigger than most skyscrapers. This massive tree that rests in the far horizon. A tree surrounded by nothing but a wasteland. A desert wasteland. But from what she could tell this place wasn't a wasteland at the beginning. No, from the looks of it this place had been much different. Had once been full of life. Very recently actually if she was reading her surroundings right. Everything she sees down below points to this. The empty holes where she could imagine a vast river had once flowed. All of the dead roots from fallen trees that once flourished through these parts. Even far down below if you were to look hard enough you could find glimpses of bones from fallen creatures. As a matter of fact if she wasn't mistaken she had also seen a couple of nearby forests that looked as though they were about to die over any second.
Yes this place is truly unique. Almost as unique as the tree itself. This tree that to her shock and amazement is giving off this energy reading. This rather impressive energy reading and if she wasn't mistaken it keeps on going up. A truly amazing specimen that many would love to come out to study. How unfortunate for them then that day will never come. She would make sure of that when in a sudden move Lazuli raises up her left hand and points towards the tree palm open. This sudden move that catches the eye of Lapis who just gives her a questionable look making her grin in response.
" It's blocking my sun."
Smirking over at his twin sister glancing down to his right as he finds Gohan glancing back and forth between them unable to keep his smirk from widening, reaching down Lapis lays his hand down on the young saiyan's shoulder causing his eyes to immediately shift up and focus in on him with a questionable gaze.
" We better do as she says. Happy Lazuli, happy life."
Unable to keep herself from rolling her eyes, flashing the young saiyan a quick smile returning her full attention back towards the tree instantly a blue glow is seen forming in Lazuli's open palm. A glow that forms into a small blue ball that grows larger in size with every passing second. That is until suddenly it disappears. Until suddenly her hand lowers back down to her side causing Lapis and Gohan to share a quick look before in unison each turn to look at her questionably. Gazes that she can feel but that doesn't concern her. No she swore she just felt another energy signature coming from that tree. Multiple energy signatures if her reading is accurate.
" Hey!? What's the deal? You gonna take care of that thing or not?"
Receiving nothing but silence in response making his way over to stand in front of her reaching out Lapis snaps his fingers in front of Lazuli's face causing an instant reaction to come from her. Just not the one he was expecting. Anger he had expected but a grin? Now he was starting to worry. Especially the way her eyes twinkle as they come to focus in on him.
" It looks like we have company."
Raising up his eyebrow being motioned to look back towards the tree focusing back in on the massive core suddenly as though he had been hit with lighting a wide smirk comes across Lapis's face.
" I see. Pity though. Their energy levels are laughable at best."
Nodding her head in total agreement crossing her arms over her chest with a glance to her left Lazuli nods her head over towards Gohan.
" Agreed but i suppose they will have to do. If you must just consider this another training session will you? A rather painful lesson for those inside of the bark of that tree."
Now that he could get behind. These energy levels he is reading. These multiple power levels he is sensing. They were downright laughable. Even with their combined might none of them would be able to touch him. Not a single one of them but still he has been itching for combat. Has been itching for a moment like this to show why he is the most powerful fighter on this planet. Even if it means crushing these ants beneath his boots.
" Well since you put it that way, I suppose it would be rude of us just to fly away without introducing ourselves first."
Without having a chance to retort instantly Lazuli watches Lapis take to the sky and slowly make his way into the distance. Such an action that makes her pout slightly before the pouts disappears into a smile when she looks Gohan's way.
" What do you think? Should we let Lapis have all of the fun?"
Not even bothering to hide the pleased look that comes across her face when she sees Gohan returning her smile without looking away Lazuli rears her right leg back and gets into a ready stance.
" I'll race you. Loser has to clean Lapis's dirty laundry for the next week."
Shivering at just the thought grinning widely at the way a brief look of horror comes across Gohan's face with the same thoughts as her own being clearly seen running through his mind Lazuli turns her head back forward and catches a glimpse of Lapis far off in the distance closing in on the tree.
" Ready?"
Snapping out of his thoughts quickly rushing over to stand by Lazuli's side mimicking her stance slowly Gohan rears back and gets into a ready stance as his right hand comes down to rest down, palm open on the ground below.
" Three….two….one….go!"
With a burst of speed rearing back Gohan blasts off straight ahead at blazing speed towards the tree leaving a smirking Lazuli watching his departing form. He may have progressed in his training. Made tremendous progress if she was telling the truth. His hand to hand combat has improved greatly. He was able to use his energy so easily now as though he really didn't need to put a lot of effort into it. Almost too easily. If she wasn't already android equipped with a data system featuring every single fighting technique ever known to man programmed into her design she just might find herself jealous at this fact. Unlucky for her then that she is an android. But that didn't mean she wasn't proud of his accomplishments. Wasn't pleased with what she has seen so far. A long way from a finished project but from what she has seen so far it wouldn't surprise her in the least if in a couple of years he is able to hold his own in a battle against either one of them. These past three months have shown her just this.
Months filled with blood,sweat,and tears. Well mostly with sweat. So help her on those rare occasions when blood indeed had been spilled. Training sessions that had started off hard and grueling becoming nothing more than his playground. It still amazes her how well he takes everything in. How he adepts so well to any situation he may find himself in. Some solutions that even shocked her when she had seen them with her own very eyes leaving only one clear cut conclusion. He will be a force to be reckoned with. Brawn with brains. A speed demon that will one day rule the skies. She has made sure of that. Those messily twenty miles a day were nothing more than a push over now. Especially after she got through with him. Now he is a stamina machine. Always keeping up with her stride for stride every single morning before handing him off to Lapis for his training. Who knows? Perhaps in a couple of years maybe even he will be able to surpass her and become the master and she the student. If she allows him that chance anyways. No she will forever be the master and he is the student and she will just show him this right now. In her element. They are where she rules. The sky is where she reigns supreme and she will let this be known now as she awaits for him to get a comfortable lead before within a blink of an eye Lazuli pushes herself off the ground and shoots off in his direction as though she had been shot out of a cannon. This blazing speed that causes a dust cloud to follow after her from behind.
A cloud that doesn't go unnoticed making Gohan turn his head to look over his shoulder before his eyes go wide as saucers and he starts to cough when he is engulfed inside of the cloud making him come to a complete stop and cover his eyes and mouth. This dust that no matter how much he waives his free hand won't go away until seconds later and the dust finally clears up he cracks open his eyes and looks straight ahead to find a smirking Lazuli hovering in the distance high above right next to the tree. A look that he can't help but return with a small grin making her shake her head before he sees her disappear further upwards making him quickly follow pursuit and ascend upwards into the clouds. Ascend up the bark of the tree as he is slowly engulfed into darkness with nothing but his aura lighting the way. This blue light that engulfs the surrounding area around him as he follows after another that is ascending upwards at a much slower pace.
" I guess, I win then. Don't feel too bad. Someone has to lose. Besides, did you really think I was gonna make you wash his laundry? Not a fat chance of that. Hell I don't even do his laundry!"
Smirking down at what he is hearing from his ascending companions as he catches his twin sister's eye shaking his head with nothing but amusement being seen Lapis crosses his arms over his chest.
" You two lovebirds took your sweet time."
Getting the reaction he was looking for in the form of their faces turning bright crimson ignoring the narrowed look Lazuli sends in his direction glancing around at the roots of the tree all around them with a frown once again Lapis shakes his head before he directs his eyes upwards.
" I have to say this is very rude of them. We came all this way and we're not even being welcomed at the front door."
Nodding her head in agreement floating closer over towards the treebark reaching out gently Lazuli presses her palm against the bark. There was no mistake about it now. This tree was giving off tremendous energy but there was something else about it as well. Something that makes her raise an eyebrow and retract her hand before her eyes glance down towards the darkness down below where the faintest of light can be seen.
Hmm? How….bizarre.
Glancing back and forth between Lazuli and the tremendous tree floating closer to inspect the bark suddenly as though the tree itself sensed his approach, Gohan blinks his eyes in confusion when he swears to have seen a blue pulse run straight through the tree. A blue pulse that he swore he had just seen. A pulse that is no longer there making him tilt his head in confusion that doesn't go unnoticed by Lazuli when she looks in his direction then back towards the tree. There was something very unique about this tree and she has a theory about what it is. It would explain what has happened to the surrounding area around the tree. A theory she tests as she sticks out her left hand and forms a small energy ball before very slowly she floats the ball close to the tree. Just close enough for it not to touch before she is shocked at what happens. Shocked when she feels a slight pull coming from the tree as the energy ball is pulled the rest of the way before the unthinkable happens. Before the energy ball just evaporates and a blue pulse runs up and down the bark of the tree. This very unusual scene that makes her float back slightly before she turns her head and glances over in Lapis's direction finding him staring at the tree in absolute wonder.
" Interesting."
Floating closer to the bark mimicking his twin sister's actions as he watches the tree suck up the small ball of energy floating in the palm of his hand until it is no more closing his hand a smirk comes across Lapis's face.
" So this thing likes to leech off others energy huh? Well we can't have that?"
Lowering his hand back down to his side with nothing but a grin forming across his face looking over his shoulder to send Lazuli a quick wink that only earns him a questionable look in response Lapis turns his full attention towards Gohan as her right hand comes back up palm open facing the tree.
" Gohan? Remember how I told you to never cause a forest fire? Well forget about it. I'm gonna show you right now how to cause one."
Without waiting for a response instantly a blue aura comes to surround Lapis's entire body as a bigger glow comes from the palm of his right hand. This aura that makes the tree go crazy as the wind starts to pick up. As a blue pulse is seen rapidly pulsing through the tree as though it has a heartbeat. As Gohan's eyes widen as he senses the energy coming off from Lapis that just proves to him why these two siblings are considered to be the strongest fighters on the planet. But as fast as it is there it disappears. The blue glow surrounding Lapis evaporates along with the energy ball in his hand before his head snaps up to look directly upwards with a look that would make any sane person run away. At least they think so anyways. This predatory grin. A sudden change in his behavior that neither Gohan or Lazuli has any time to question before he ascends higher upwards. And they don't have to wait long for the answer to why the sudden change when they can sense it. Energy signatures coming from high above deep within the roots of the tree itself. Six energy signatures. None that were remotely impressive but they could be felt. Energy signatures they follow like a hawk upwards into the highest depths of the tree before they finally spot then.
Six figures awaiting them on the crown of the massive tree. This Tree of Might. Six figures of different sizes and species. Two standing in the front that could clearly be seen as brothers from the way they look. From their short height. Their matching purple skin while the others are different. A common species between them that none of the three are familiar with. Another that stands to their left directly behind them whose almost magma skin is completely covered with these cyborg components. From the read they could get on him it was clear as day this one wasn't a human and not truly an android either but rather a cyborg. But it is the other three that could be found to be the most intriguing. Not just because one of them has a punk rock look about him. Not because of their sheer size difference compared to the others. No it was from the look in their eyes. From the cocky looks across their faces. From the way they are poised and ready to fight at any second with one of them standing out from the rest.
One that makes each of Lapis and Lazuli blink their eyes trying to see if what they are seeing is real while Gohan just stares ahead in shock. There was no questioning it. The man's face. This man's face resembles another's perfectly. A perfect carbon copy of Goku's own. The only difference that could be found at least in the siblings eyes were minimal at best. His skin tone was different. A paler color than of a regular earthling. From their data he is a little bit bigger size wise compared to Goku. But the one thing that would be the deciding factor in determining identities would be the very thing wrapped around his waist. A tail. A tail similar to Gohan's own. A realization that makes Lapis and Lazuli share a look with identical grins coming across their faces.
" Are you thinking what i'm thinking?"
Nodding her head silently in agreement, turning her full attention back towards these unexpected guests with her grin only widening Lazuli crosses her arms over her chest.
" If what you're thinking is these unexpected arrivals are the big bad saiyans that everyone is so afraid of then yes. Although it is clear to me that only one of them has saiyan blood flowing through their veins."
" The Goku wannabe?"
Receiving his answer in the form of a nod doing a double take on the rest of the group standing before him a small frown comes across Lapis's face.
" Well i can say for certain that he is the only saiyan among them. Though the others might prove to make this interesting."
Doing her own double take on the group reading every one of their power levels as she looks between them not liking the results she sees across her vision a deep frown comes across Lazuli's face. If she wanted to call them power levels anyways. Not one of these invaders was worth their time. Not even Goku's doppelganger. But perhaps this situation could be used to their advantage and with that thought Lazuli glances over towards Gohan with a thoughtful look.
" Perhaps? I wouldn't hold my breath though. They are weaklings after all and nothing more."
A statement that is suddenly met with nothing but laughter that just echoes through the air. Laughter coming from the group standing across from them. This laughter that gets no reaction from Lazuli or Lapis as they stare at them with emotionless looks across their faces while Gohan stares straight ahead at the very man that looks just like his father. A saiyan that looks back at him with a smirk. With evil intentions in his eyes as he stares down at the much younger saiyan before him while the man to his right steps forward with a menacing look.
" I'll take care of this."
Amond. A known criminal throughout the galaxy. A man that has rampaged through so many planets taking whatever he wants whenever he wants. A man that had seen those days come to an end when the law finally caught up to him before he one day had been freed from his prison by the very man that calls himself leader. Though he will never be his leader. Not ever. Amond bows down to no man. Let alone a bunch of puny earthlings like these. Especially her. The loud mouth little girl that looks at his approaching form unamused at what she is seeing. Oh how he can't wait to make better use out of that mouth of hers before she too meets her demise like many others before her.
" Here cutey. I'll even let you take the first shot."
Not even bothering to uncross her arms from the way he just leans forward with his chin out as she stares slightly up towards the oranged skin invader smirking down towards her hearing the sound of his knuckles cracking down below letting out a snort the moment she sees his eyes leave her own to glance back towards his companions instantly she reacts. As fast as lighting her right knee comes up driving deep into his stomach making Amond hunch forward with a mouthful of spit flying out of his mouth. This swift attack that shocks everyone nearby except for Lapis who just smirks at what he sees while Gohan watches with a faint smile. Such a blow that drops Amond to his knees clutching his stomach while Lazuli stares down towards him with an unamused look before slowly she bends down and whispers into his ear.
" Take care of what exactly? Shining my boots?"
Glaring up hatefully at Lazuli feeling blood starting to form in his mouth in an act of defiance, rearing back Amond spits a mouthful of blood down on her right boot causing an instant reaction. Causing her eyes to narrow dangerously before without giving him any time to react her right leg comes up and smashes him clean in the side of the head sending him soaring backwards. Cause for his body to zoom out of sight into the darkness before the sound of a loud crash is heard followed by another. These crashes followed by a dirt cloud that suddenly comes from where he had disappeared making those that know him stare in complete shock while Lazuli could be seen glaring down hatefully at her right boot as she inspects every inch of it.
Smirking at the carnage before him turning his sights back towards the group finding every one of their eyes turning back to face his twin sister with his smirk only widening Lapis claps his hands loudly.
" Okay! Who's next?"
Glancing back and forth between each face staring back at him seeing nothing but anger and rage being directed his way despite the hesitant look in their eyes after a few intense moments of silence seeing none making a move Lapis extends his right hand out and waives them over.
" Come on! Don't tell me the big bad saiyans are afraid of little old us are you?"
Frowning at their lack of action from that statement instantly Lapis's eyes light up and he snaps his fingers loudly making Lazuli snap her eyes to look up his way with a murderous look.
" Is it because of her? Don't worry she doesn't bite unless provoked…."
Suddenly feeling a large energy presence coming straight towards him in a sudden move Lapis turns his body just in time for an energy wave to soar right past him. An energy wave that fails to connect against its intended target but instead finds its mark against another as the sound of a large explosion is heard echoing through the crown of the tree. As the sound of metal clanging off the bark is heard echoing in the air while their surroundings are quickly filled up with smoke. As small pieces of metal from a destroyed piece of armor can be barely seen rolling around on the bark at their feet. Blinking his eyes in surprise turning his head slowly finding himself facing an enraged Lazuli with her left hand still extended pointing directly at him giving her a sheepish smile Lapis raises his hands up in mock surrender.
" Really? Just for saying that?"
Being met with her eyes narrowing even more dangerously at him taking a step back Lapis quickly looks over towards Gohan before his eyes widen slightly when he sees the young saiyan's mouth open slightly in shock as his eyes stare straight ahead. Eyes he can't help but follow before he sees what is causing this reaction. The remains of the one that had taken the blast head on or what was left of them. Two badly damaged cybernetic legs laying on the ground with numerous bolts and screws being seen littering the ground.
" Well you don't see that everyday."
Feeling a pair of eyes on him turning back to look towards Gohan seeing the shock still across his face shrugging his shoulders Lapis turns his head back towards the wreckage left in the energy blasts wake and looks around for the remaining members of this invader party.
" It looks like our guests have decided to make things more interesting. I always love a good game of hide and seek."
With two pairs of eyes watching his every move not bothering to look their way Lapis strides forward walking through the rubble crushing loose pieces of metal underneath his feet with every step he takes. Crunches that echo through the quiet crown of the tree before only the sound of his footsteps bouncing off the branches and bark can be heard.
" I'll take this way and do remember to play with your toys nicely."
Glaring at the back of her brother's head until he is no longer within her eyesight glancing back down towards her stained boot cursing under her breath closing her eyes just as she gets finished taking a long deep breath the feeling of her left hand being grabbed causes Lazuli to snap her eyes open and look down to find Gohan's eyes looking up towards her with concern while a reassuring smile is seen across his face.
" Don't worry Lazuli. We can always get you a new pair. I know how much you love shopping and you did mention wanting to go visit West City. Maybe we can do that later?"
And just like that any anger she might have felt. Any rage that had been building up inside of her vanishes. Perhaps it was like that saying goes. How can you be mad at a child? At a child's smiling face? Though in this situation she couldn't think of him as a child. Not after what he has already been through so far in his young life. Not quite a man but not a child either. Somewhere in the between. Whatever that between was didn't matter to her. He was still him in her eyes. Still Gohan. Still the respectful and polite young man. The thoughtful young man that has never once questioned anything that had been asked of him. How he was this way was beyond her. She would be absolutely pissed if she had been kidnapped and basically abandoned out in the middle of nowhere. Smiling down towards Gohan kneeling down so that she can be eye level with him reaching out gently Lazuli lays her free hand down on his cheek causing to her amusement his face to heat up under her touch.
" Hmm? That's not a bad idea. I'll tell you what. How about we skip training tomorrow and go on a little shopping trip? We'll even drag Lapis along to carry my bags. How does that sound?"
Quickly feeling him nodding his head in her hand smiling down widely at him making her way back to her feet giving his hand a tug Lazuli starts to lead Gohan in the direction Lapis went. This peaceful walk with nothing but the sound of their footsteps echoing off the dozens of roots and branches all around. As their eyes glance around for any signs of movement. For any signs that perhaps one of their enemies is hiding up above just awaiting for the right moment to strike or if they were wise waiting for the perfect moment to escape. So far though nothing like that has occurred. No signs of life anywhere. Not even from any wandering birds that could have come to land down on the branches and speaking of branches there was something hanging off from them. Something neither has ever seen before let alone anybody on this planet. This light orange fruit hanging off the branches. A fruit with the qualities of a durian and a lychee fruit mixed together into one. But not just one of them. No as their eyes wander upwards they could see hundreds of these fruits. Hundreds of these mysterious fruits hanging high above as far as they can see.
" Lazuli?"
" I see them too. I wonder what they are?"
Taking a closer look at one of the pieces of fruit as he walks underneath it a thoughtful look comes across Gohan's face.
" Could it…."
Hearing his pause turning to give her full attention to him seeing his eyes glued to the root above them slowly Lazuli lifts her eyes up to stare at the very same fruit he is looking at.
" Could these fruits be the energy we keep sensing? I mean i've read that some fruits grow on trees. Could this be like that? Like some kind of fruit energy tree?"
A valid point. A rather good point making her eyes go wide slightly and give the fruit closest to her another good look. Was it possible? Was it truly possible that these fruits are truly unique like this tree itself? That perhaps these fruits have some kind of energy stored within them? It is possible. How much so is another question entirely.
" Well there is only one way to find out."
Nodding his head in agreement letting go of her hand before giving her any chance to react Gohan ascends upwards towards the nearest branch and plucks two pieces of these mysterious fruit off from the branch and returns back down towards Lazuli's side. Fruits that feel so small in his hands as though he is holding oranges. Fruits that he stares at before he hands one over towards Lazuli earning a smile in thanks before very slowly he lifts up the remaining fruit in his hand up to his mouth at the same time as her and takes a bite. And what he tastes is rather unique itself. What he swears to be a mixture of an orange and a strawberry mixed into one along with many other flavors. This flavor that he can't help but smile just like how he sees Lazuli smiling with every single bite she takes.
" Huh? For a rather bizarre tree these aren't half bad."
Silently agreeing with her statement swallowing his bite right as he is about to respond suddenly as though some kind of radar has gone off within him instantly Gohan snaps around dropping his half eaten fruit to the ground and sends a small energy wave up towards a tree branch up in the far distance where a faint image of a figure can be seen. A figure who suddenly vanishes before the blast can him them as the sound of a loud explosion from the blast connecting against the branch echoes.
Dropping her own fruit to the ground following the energy signature coming across her screen like a hawk instantly as she sees the figure remerge on a nearby branch with his face being shown to them Lazuli narrows her eyes dangerously at his enraged and yet shocked face.
" How? How did you sense I was there without a scouter!? Tell me!"
Not even bothering to hide her smirk crossing her arms over her chest Lazuli motions her head down towards Gohan. A young saiyan that looks at his outstretched hand in nothing but shock truly not believing what he had just done.
" I trained him well. Now before you die answer this for me. Why are you here? What makes Earth so special to you saiyans because here's a news flash it's nothing special. Trust me, I know."
Sensing two more energy levels creeping up behind them turning to look over his shoulder as he finds two figures that are almost identical emerging out of the shadows turning around to fully face them suddenly feeling a hand coming to rest down on his shoulder Gohan turns his head to find Lazuli glancing at him out of the corner of her eye.
" You take care of these clowns. I'll handle loud mouth. Remember your training. Just relax and let the fight come to you. I know you can do it."
Glancing back towards the two approaching figures finding them each with menacing grins gulping his throat nodding his head feeling his shoulder being squeezed with a deep breath Gohan takes a couple of steps away from Lazuli and towards the now stationed invaders. These two brothers that smirk evilly his way with nothing but bad intentions in their eyes. The story of their life. The life of Rasin and Lakasei. The very last remaining Beenz of an extinct race. Two brothers that had been revived by their very leader thanks to two fossils and for that they will be eternally greatly to him. They will forever be loyal to him and they will show that loyal right now with the annihilation of this brat. This small kid that walks their way with a brave face before he stops. This small child they can't help but smirk down at but better safe than sorry. They have already seen the power of his two companions. Such power that has broken their own scouters from the levels they were reading. Impossible levels. They just had to be. And for this very reason they will go to their ultimate move right away. Their merger. This move only very few have had the luxury of seeing.
Staring across at his opponents seeing neither moving from their spot slowly getting into a fighting stance as he rears back and plants his right foot back instantly Gohan pushes off his foot shooting himself forward at high speed when he sees something that makes him decide to take immediate reaction. Watches as this aura comes to surround these two brothers. As he watches them slowly reach their hands out towards another. Hands that don't reach each other when a well placed boot lands clean into Rasin's face launching him far backwards with his back being dragged across the tree bark down below. An attack that is quickly followed by a spinning kick that isn't even seen by Lakasei until it is too land. Until he feels the kick landing sending him too flying only his landing isn't the same as his brother's own. No his forward progress is stopped thanks to a large branch that he goes crashing into followed by another until his body drops down to the ground below with a thud.
Seething at the mouth glaring hatefully over her shoulder towards the young saiyan off in the distance just as he is about to take off and attack him from behind within a flash Turles hunches over spitting a mouthful of blood out onto the dirt down below when Lazuli suddenly appears before him driving her right fist hard into his gut. Hunched over feeling nothing but pain in his chest. Such pain he has never felt before. No one has ever hurt him like this. Not from a single blow but this girl. This woman had accomplished the feat so easily. A woman that doesn't stop there when her free hand grabs a hold of his armor and slowly lifts him upwards as he watches them leave the ground and take to the air. This scene that makes his hands clutch into fists and make him snap his head to look towards her before a knee being driven to his badly bruised gut makes him hunch over once again and a well placed double axe handle strike lands clean into the middle of his back making him scream out in pain as he is launched downward at blazing speed. As he smashes through the ground face first splitting the bark of the tree as he descends further and further downwards. Smirking down at the split between the bark with her arms coming up to cross over her chest slowly Lazuli descends down into the darkness heading directly after him.
Shaking away the cobwebs ignoring the green blood that starts to drip down his face from the open cut across his cheek glancing around with blurry vision as he looks for the person responsible for that blindsided attack that just occured instantly Rasin's eyes go as wide as saucers when a small figure suddenly appears out of nowhere in front of him making him leap back and fall down on his ass. It was simply impossible! No child should have this much power! Not even the scans they had taken before coming to this planet showed a being with this much power rescinded here. Let alone three. Three beings with none of them being Kakarot.
Descending further down into the darkness with nothing but the glow of her aura lighting her way as she comes across a small crater further down with no signs of the one she is seeking inside frowning down at the empty hole seizing her descent as she looks around for any signs of him a sudden sound to her right makes Lazuli snap her head in that direction. A faint sound of a boot dragging across the ground. A sound she follows finding Turles attempting to flee using the walls to hold him upright. Such a sight that makes her grin before she lands down and slowly stalks her way towards him not even bothering to mask her footsteps. Footsteps that echo through the wide open core making Turles snap his head to look over his shoulder at her with this look of fear coming across his face. Fear that quickly turns into anger before in a sudden move he snaps around and sends an energy blast in her direction.
But nothing could prepare him for what he sees next. To see Lazuli deflect his energy beam away with a flick of her wrist as though it was nothing. As though it didn't faze her. This sudden move that makes him stare wide eyed at her as an explosion goes off from behind her. A sound that snaps him out of his daze before in rapid motion he launches energy ball after energy ball in her direction only to watch in horror every single one of them being deflected away as she inches closer and closer to him until she is there. Until he can no longer fire off another shot and he is left gasping for breath when her left hand comes to wrap around his throat and he is lifted off from the ground. Is hoisted upward into the air and is forced to stare down at a pair of glowing blue eyes.
" You can scream now if you want. They always scream."
