Here we are yet again, another update note. I know this might be another annoyance to come across considering I mentioned I'd be dropping the new part of the story here soon for y'all to read BUT outside of being busy with outside distractions, that and because of Covid, I've decided I'll go ahead and take on quite the undertaking.

Ever since my last update notice, y'all seemed to be quite happy with the idea of an RWBY crossover but also quite bummed about HOTD being shelved. I did some thinking, and of course in my free time chilling, and recently caught quite the wiff of inspiration, and have decided to go ahead and overhaul the HOTD story ALONG WITH WHAT I'VE GOT FOR THE RWBY STORY.

So what does this mean ultimately? Simple, I'm working on two stories in my free time. HOTD isn't going anywhere, I've got a bit more editing and fine tuning to do for it to give you guys a fresh perspective and to set the tone of the storyline, but it's actually alot closer than the RWBY one, which has had alot of work done on it as well. I know this has been going as slow as Christmas right now and I really, really do apologize for that. Things have been nuts lately, both in my personal life and, hell, even irl with what's going on in the world.

I only thought it'd be fair to those of you to know that HOTD isn't going anywhere. You'll have 2 stories to look forward to for the most part and that's pretty much why I've been so held up with posting the RWBY one. I've got the summary down for the new HOTD one, it's of course rough, but it's to give you guys a general idea what to expect. As I stated before, mods will be making up a good foundation of the storyline and I'll post those with the summary I've got written down.

Also, one of these 'mod's' isn't necessarily a real one, as I don't possess the means of making it possible lol. However, I've been doing some '

head canon' overhauls on a few of the creatures I've come to really favor in my own personal gameplay of Ark. Depending on how I hash out the general beginnings of where the group's journey starts, I'll be more than happy to share this extended head canon overhaul in greater detail but the jist of it centers around the Wyverns, Rock Drake, and Reaper getting a tweak in appearance, and ability.

Anyways, without further ado, here's the summary of what to expect.

ARK HOTD Story

Overhauled Creatures- General adjustment to some of the creatures of Ark to better suit a more interesting story.

Immersive Taming (Mod) [Made by Burgersssss]-

Krakens Better Dino's (Mod) [Made by Kraken:1]- Basis of what I'm looking at to overhaul alot of these creatures.

Ark Additions (Mod) [Made by Garuga]- Additions to the story's lore in the form of more creatures.

Summary overview- Story takes a more stylized approach. James lives in his own stretch of jungle beside a cattle herding tribe whom he associate's with, where he serves as a ranch hand and cattle driver. James possess' a more western based appearance and demeanor, like a true cowboy (Think Lonesome Dove or Rawhide). More or less bumps into the group the same way as before albeit more updated and refined.

Spit- Dilophosaurus- James' main traveling companion. The Dilophosaurus in this storyline is a lot different from the one currently seen in Ark, considerably bigger and an overall much nastier creature all around. Middle man of the early game mounts.

This is the most I can truly share with you as to not spoil the rest of the story for any of you that are still interested. But as you can see, to those that were hoping and prey on the reviews lol, Spits very much still around. Ren's still apart of the storyline and ultimately, that history of James is still very much canon to this story so don't worry. As I said before, this is an overhauled approach so alot more is on the way.
