***NOMANISAN ISLAND***
Taking time to fully recover both mentally and physically also allowed me time to go organize all of the information we had gathered. I spent a week recuperating, relaxing and getting used to the changes that I had gone through. The group had been busy in my absence, pushing our agenda forward.
Eight days after being healed I split into five, four of my duplicates leaving the Island. Each of them would travel to an Ashlander Camp and continue fulfilling the prophecy. While they were doing that I was going to spend time on Nomanisan Island.
The next thing I did was create a small hoard of shadow clones to spend time with magical animals. As the clones left I went to find Fleur and Luna, I found them
***URSHILAKU CAMP***
With an almost silent pop I appear close to the camp and head straight for the wise woman's yurt. I stood in front of the opening to the yurt contemplating what to do before a voice called out from inside. "Enter stranger and present yourself."
Slipping through the opening I walk inside with my hand clearly empty. "I have come to discuss the prophecy and take my place in fulfilling it."
"Go ahead and ask your questions, you obviously think you are the Nerevarine." When the elderly lady gestures to a place across from her I nod and sit.
"Not only do I know I am the subject of the prophecy, Dagoth Ur is likewise convinced. I am here to take the journey through the trials and unite Morrowind against the false gods."
"Very well, in order to continue you must first pass a test before the third trial. You will journey to an ancient Sixth House base and retrieve three tokens." I nod, stand and turn to leave. As I walk to the entrance of the yurt Nibani clears her throat. "Aren't you going to ask about the first two trials.
"There is no need the first trial involved my birth and I passed the second trial by being cursed with Corpus and being cured. Once I am finished this test I shall return." I swiftly exit the yurt and rise into the air head southeast toward Kogoruhn. As I fly out of the camp I layer concealment magics and speed up.
Since this is intended as a warriors test once I land on top of the ancient base I drop my spells and create a large amount of shadow clones. The clones split into two groups, half head into the base while the rest start exploring around the base.
I start summoning rubble and transfigured it into a chair and table, before I could pull food out of my Mokeskin Pouch some food and tea appear on the table. Moments later Fleur and Luna appear beside me with a pop, with a grin a tranfigure them each a comfy chair.
Out conversation was slightly awkward as we avoided certain topics as I had to keep replenishing clones, I was getting constant feedback from the clones as they were being popped. The clones were taking their time and being through, every so often one would bring items they had found and return.
***AHEMMUSA CAMP***
I appear north of the camp and instead of going inside I fly north towards their fallback position, the tribe would often use an abandonded deadric temple as a sanctuary. The temple was overrun by daedric cultists celebrating away from the tribunal and their lies.
Finding the temple was simple and I flew around and scouted the area before landing. The area was silent and seemed deserted so I landed on top of one of the destroyed towers in sight of the entrance, a few spells later and I was almost impossible to see. Another couple of spells and the doors opened and were stuck in that position.
I waited a few minutes or see if anyone would respond to the noise of the door being opened, when nobody did I flew into the building. As I floated through the ruins of the temple I could see the signs of battle, it seemed as though the Temple Ordinators had already taken care of the daedric worshippers.
I had been hoping to get there first and help the group the Temple Ordinators didn't know it but the days of the Tribunal were coming to an end. There was no reason to continue the useless persecution, getting angrier by the second I focused and apparated to the front of the temple in Vivec.
***VIVEC CITY***
My anger was reflected by the noise of my arrival, usually I make sure to be careful to leave and arrive with as little sound as possible. This time a massive explosion of sound heralded my arrival accompanied by a release of raw magic.
As I storm up the stairs towards the false god Vivec I create several squads of shadow clones. Before flying away they hide themselves with magic and the head towards the mountain sized meteor being held in the sky.
To my surprise the door opened before I got to the building. "Come Lord Nerevar and we shall speak." Vivec's voice was calm, but there was a feeling of power being held back. It was like being doused in glacier water, my anger disappeared in the face of overwhelming power.
Cautiously entering the massive domed room I immediately saw Vivec floating in the centre. Reconsidering my approach I stopped several metres away. "Greeting Lord Vivec, I have come to retrieve Wraithguard in order to confront Dagoth Ur."
"Will you swear an oath to go forth and end Dagoth Ur, an oath to use the Kagrenac's Tools to defeat him and protect all of Morrowind?" Without hesitation I swear the oath to Vivec, it was time to end the threat of the Sixth House.
"Very good then I shall begin teaching you how to use Wraithguard and the plan the Tribunal has created to help you fulfill the prophecy." As she began her instructions my shadow clones started dismissing themselves as they finished their tasks.
It took several hours for her to recalibrate Wraithguard for me to safety wear and use. By the time she had finished and I was wearing the Dwemer artifact the sun had set. So I returned to Nomanisan Island, after reintegrating with my duplicates I meditated on what l had learned and done.
***NOMANISAN ISLAND***
I woke early in the morning and sent shadow clones to look for the group, today we would be pushing back against Dagoth Ur and taking control of Red Mountain. While I waited I made a large breakfast for the group to enjoy, moments after I started Bob popped in and took over. Laughing to myself I backed off and sat down with a coffee.
Once everyone had gathered and was fed and watered I stood up and raised a glass of juice in a toast. "First off thank you for taking care of things while I was indisposed, a toast to everyone's health." After everyone raised their ballades and drank I continued.
"From everything I have seen we are ready to end the prophecy and the threat of the Sixth House." Pausing I turned to Hashirama. "How are things on your end?"
"I have studied the natural energy of Nirn, observing it and testing it. I'm ready to begin as soon as we assault Red Mountain." Smiling I nodded.
"Mito will be protecting an watching over Hashirama while he meditates and connects with the natural energy inside of the Ghost Fence. The rest of us will be using duplicates and clones to assault the bases within Red Mountain. Our objectives are to gather Keening and Sunder and to destroy the rest of his support." I stopped and looked at Albus, he seemed to be on the verge of saying something before changing his mind.
"From what I can see there aren't many victims of the Corpus gathered, any we do come across will be sent to Divayth for help." Nicolas gently interrupts me.
"We managed to find a way to reverse the damage from those infected, unfortunately a cure isn't possible at the moment. We have found the majority of those people and sent the to Divayth for help."
"Thank you Nicolas, and well done. That makes thing easier, have you been able to figure anything out about the people and animals turned into Ash?" Nicolas shakes his head in response. "I didn't think you would, that's a shame it would have been nice to spare them. Still, since that avenue is closed off we will continue as planned.
Albus stands and gives me a disappointed look. "I'm afraid I cannot help you in this endeavour. I will not stand in your way, but I refuse to kill." I Mentally rolling my eyes.
"That's fine Albus, but the fact remains this has to be done. If I could think of another way I would do that, but everyday we delay Dagoth Ur gets stronger. our efforts to contain and distract him grow less effective." Turning with a defeated look Albus speaks moving to leave.
"I understand, I just don't like it." As he goes to leave I retort.
"I don't think you understand, because I have kept some information from you all." Albus turns and walks back to the table where he sits down, when I reveal my secret everyone is a little shocked.
"Are you sure about this information?" Albus seemed hesitant and almost desperate.
"I'm afraid so Albus, from everything I saw all of the information is true. Not only that its accurate and makes sense." Albus seemed to consider things for a moment.
"Very well, it seems as though I have no choice but to help." Once we were finished we all got ready for war, to confront one of the major players in play.
***RED MOUNTAIN***
All five duplicates of Albus, Hashirama and Mito left using separate port keys to prepare. The rest of us took a port key to near the entrance of the Ghost Fence, once we arrived we split into duplicates and four of the groups took off. The remaining group started sending waves of clones out into the wilderness of Red Mountain.
We had several immediate goals, the first of which was to remove any support form Dagoth Ur that remained here. The second was to secure all of the exits from Red Mountain, all while Hashirama began balancing the natural energy of the region.
This three pronged attack would hopefully keep them off balance long enough for us to engage Dagoth Ur. Securing the ways in and out would stop people from escaping or allies from attacking during the operation.
As they were found temporary and dangerous wards would be set up and clones hidden to watch. A fast, dirty method to protect ourselves. We began making our way from the gate to the centre, sending out clones in regular intervals. We rose into the air and slowly heading towards the mouth of the volcano.
By the time we had made our way to the top of the volcano duplicates had brought Keening and Sunder to me before reintegrating. "While I talk to Dagoth Ur I need everyone to get ready to cast the Fidelius charm on the Heart of Lorkhan."
Dropping into the mouth of the volcano and floating down I landed near Dagoth Ur. "I have come to speak to you Dagoth Ur, to hear your side of this sordid tale from the past."
"You have come prepared Lord Nerevar, will you answer some questions?" After agreeing he begins. "What do you plan on doing with the Heart? Will you follow the path of the false gods or my path and share the power?"
"Neither, I plan on hiding the Heart and protecting it from all who would use it." Dagoth Ur stops and stares at me for a moment.
"You have a noble spirit that has convinced me you are the Nerevarine Reborn. It's tragic that we cannot trust each other as allies." I nod agreeing with him.
"Its a larger tragedy than you can imagine old friend, I had hoped we could work together to end the reign of the false gods. Yet I know that if I were to spare your life you would enviably turn on me. You barely survived the Dragon Break with your life, sadly it broke your spirit and mind."
"One last question, if I had approached you as an ally and a friend from the beginning would you have joined my side? Would you have surrendered the Kagrenac's Tools?"
"I did that once already Dagoth, and I wasn't about to make the same mistake again." Nodding satisfied with my answers Dagoth spoke.
"If you have any questions, now is the time to ask them. Otherwise I will allow you the first blow."
"What are your plans for the Heart and Akulakhan?"
As Dagoth Ur began speaking I only half listened, waiting for the spell to finish and for him to attack. After several minutes of ranting he suddenly stopped completely. "What have you done?"
Before I could answer he lunge forward to attack, I rolled out of the way of his obvious attack. I was standing ready as he turned and attacked once more, I could see that his madness had fully taken a hold of him. Like I had hoped hiding the Heart destroyed all of the connections to it.
His attacks were quickly becoming more frenzied as he became more and more feral. While I wasn't having much trouble defending myself I couldn't go on the offence. Finally multiple stunning spells came out of nowhere hitting him, each one slowing him down but not stopping him. When Dagoth Ur stumbled and fell forward I took his head in my hands and forced him to look into my eyes.
"I free you from your cursed life Dagoth Ur, sleep and dream of victory." With that used my full strength to break his neck, I let his body drop to the ground and almost immediately threw up. This wasn't the first time I had killed, but this was the first time I had done it in such a close and personal way.
Using a spell to wash the taste out of my mouth and then clean myself I flew to where The Heart secretly sat. "Did you take care of Akulakhan or hide it?"
"I sent it to Nomanisan Island to study before we hid the Heart." I slowly floated towards the top of the volcano. Before I could leave I felt a power growing in the cavern, turning to look I saw a tall and elegant Dunmer lady.
"You no longer bear the burden of prophecy. You have achieved your destiny. You are freed. The doomed Dwemer's folly. Lord Dagoth's temptation. The Tribunal's seduction. The god's heart freed. The prophecy fulfilled. All fates sealed and sins redeemed. If you have pity, mourn the lost but let the weeping cease. The blight is gone, and the sun's golden honey gilds the land. Hail savior, hortator and Nerevarine. Your people look to you for protection. Monsters and villains great and small still threaten the people of Vvardenfell. Enemies and evils abound, yet indomitable will might rid Morrowind of all its ills. For you, our thanks and blessing, our gift and token given. Come, take this thing from the hand of god."
Keeping eye contact I moved towards the Daedra and took the ring from her hand, before she could disappear I asked my question. "Will you lifted the Corpus curse and allow us to heal those afflicted?"
As she faded I could see he shake her head with a grin. 'Good, I'll take care it myself then.'
I put everything into my Mokeskin Pouch and sat down and started meditating, feeling for the natural energy. I could feel the areas where Hashirama was working and the difference he was making. Standing up I grinned and floated to the top of the volcano.
With that major hurdle taken care of I knew we could start focusing on our other plans. Nicolas had set a trap for Almalexia and we were ready to take care of the small moon floating above Vivec City. Once that was taken care of we would start preparing for the Oblivion Crisis as well as securing Red Mountain for our use.
Landing near the Ghost Fence Gate I took a small chest out of my Mokeskin Pouch and returned it to full size. After making a large batch of shadow clones I started handing them ward stones. After receiving one they would go and start laying wards on the entrances and exits to Red Mountain.
The plan was to leave only one way in for now, the obvious entrance. Once all my shadow clones were gone to do their work I stood. "Lets go and ready the celebration, we can start when Albus, Hashirama and Mito finish here."
Without waiting for a reply I flew off at high speeds towards the Island for the first time truly cutting loose with my true speed. 'Once I figure out how to separate the speed enchantment on those damn boots I'll be made of go fast'
