A/N Sorry about the delay, my muse fled. *Sigh* But some very nice person was wondering when the next chapter so I sat down and banged my head against the wall until something happened. Nothing did so I resorted to eating candy floss. That worked so here it is. A bit of a shorter one but it got all you need :) I appreciate those who enjoy my weirdness or even just need to laugh at it. So please enjoy!
I could sense it. Danger. Hugeeeeeeeeeeee danger. Tup was at the bottom of the cliff patrolling. I had finished my comic and was tempted to eat it I was so bored. But that was all about to change... I placed my pen down. Annoyingly dramatic speech written. Check!
"Ugh." Eira said as she stirred next to me."Where-?"
"You are on the cliffs."
Then she punched my on the shoulder, "You led me to a Sarlacc!"
I laughed in relief, "Honestly, I'm just glad you're alive." I pulled her into a tight hug that she reciprocated.
Eira grumbled a bit more but didn't punch me again.
"So update," I said, "Tup is with us, patrolling and the others are destroying droids."
"Tup," Eira mused, "You've mentioned him before..."
I flopped on my bed.
"I know," I said with a sniff, "Poor Tup."
Then a Force vision overwhelmed me. Ahhhhh! More danger loomed! Ooh! I should add that to my speech.
"But now we have to go."
Eira facepalmed, "WHY ARE WE STILL RUNNING!?"
I shook my head, "We aren't running. We're just headed in the opposite direction very quickly."
Eira gave me a how-dare-you-drag-me-into-this look.
"I'll explain on the way."
...
Tup patrolled the lower levels of the cliffs, on guard. Droids were coming and soon. Indianna had said so. And that kid was crazy. Whether in a good or bad way, Tup couldn't decide.
At least she was out of trouble. Then Tup sighed, she seemed like one of those people that were never out of trouble.
Suddenly, a loud mechanical voice called from around the corner, "We made it. Let's get to the top to destroy their ship."
Stupid B1's, Tup scowled. He help up his blaster and crept cautiously around the corner before blanching. That was a lot of droids; he raised his blaster and took out three.
"CLONE! FIRE!"
Tup rolled behind a large boulder as several shots scraped him armour. More blaster shots were stubbornly hitting the rock. He was completely pinned and he didn't know when the others would be getting back.
"Call in an airstrike to clear the cliffs." One droid said.
"Roger Roger."
Tup's eyes widened. The kids! They were on the cliffs! They wouldn't even see it coming!
Tup peeked out of his cover for a second and quickly leaned backwards as dozens of shots sizzled on the rock behind him. He was trapped and could do nothing. The Kids were doomed.
...
Kix frowned, Tup wasn't answering his comlink. What went wrong? And he KNEW something went wrong. Indianna was involved.
"General, Tup isn't answering his comlink, do you think the droids could have made it to the cliffs?"
Anakin seemed to consider this.
"The droids left their crash sight so it is a possibility. We shouldn't panic though."
They continued moving through the foliage, Kix helping Echo along. He had gotten a bad blaster bolt to both the shoulder and the leg.
Then Tech yelped. When Kix whipped around and followed his eye line, he paled. Droid bombers, they were going to do an airstrike and they were headed to the cliffs.
General Skywalker seemed to come to the same conclusion and his gaze hardened.
"We need to get to the cliffs, Now!" He started at a run and everyone followed.
Kix cursed, Echo had taken off at a run. He should NOT be running. But Echo was worried, he begrudgingly admitted that he was worried as well.
They bolted as fast as they could to the bottom of the cliffs. It was swarming with battle droids! Tup was clearly pinned behind a large boulder and was barely fending them off.
General Skywalker lunged for the nearest droid and everyone else following suit. Soon the droids carcasses were littering the floor but they still needed to help Indianna and Eira.
Ahsoka lept up and started climbing the rocks but it was too late.
"Ahsoka! No!" Anakin yelled.
The airstrike came and the cliffs exploded in fire and debris. Ahsoka landed on the floor safely and stared at the ruble. There was silence. They were too late.
...
I pulled Eira along slightly ruffly.
"Whyyyyyyy! Tell me why!? Where are we going?"
I sighed, "Eira, we need to get off these cliffs."
"But why? Are we running again?"
"Nah, I decided that they're to cool to run from."
Eira rolled her eyes. She wondered why I was a fan, she thought that All this place was, is War. I could read her thoughts easily.
"The Clone Wars is beautiful. You know what I mean though."
She rolled my eyes again.
"Stay out of my head!"
"Fine, but let's go."
They came to the edge of the cliff, then I helped her down the first step.
"We need to hurry, like our pug Wicket at dinner time, hurry."
I grinned, I love our Pug-Pekinese.
"But what's going to happen?" Eira pulled out of my grasp and crossed her arms. "I'm not going until you tell me."
I scowled, my amazing sister could be so stubborn sometimes. I guess like me. Anakin would have a cow.
Then I froze. No. We were too late. I grabbed Eira's arm, she seemed to sense my anxiousness so she let herself be pulled along.
"Jump!" I called.
We jumped hand in hand as the cliffs exploded in flames. We were too late.
