Wes remained in the room as the rest of the group dispersed, Kurt and Blaine taking advantage of the crowd to slip away unnoticed.

Rachel stopped in the doorway, arms crossed over her chest, semi-patiently waiting for everyone else to file out. When they did, she finally spoke. "What are you playing at Montgomery?"

The Asian boy looked up from his seat at the council table. He shifted aside the slips from the already used songs, as he stashed away the rest of the potential group numbers for another day. He gave Rachel a mere raised eyebrow.

"What are you complaining about now, Berry?" Of course, he didn't mind that she was talking at him, as he'd planned to talk to her anyway. But if he could segue into this conversation to his own points without being made to look like the bad guy, well, then he was going to do it.

She furrowed her eyebrows and marched forward. "I'm talking about you turning this into some sort of competition to see who can utilize Kurt better! You secretly told him to pick both of us, didn't you?"

Wes was taken aback by her hostile approach, but he held the anger well and stood slowly from the table.

"If this were a competition to see who could best utilize Kurt, you would know. And at this point, as far as I'm concerned, we would be winning!"

Rachel was not having any of that. "By making him sing songs that make him blush?!" she cried in outrage.

"No, by allowing him to sing more than three lines of a solo," Wes stated in a coldly calm tone of voice. Rachel went quiet. She had no retort for his words.

"What is that supposed to mean?" she asked after several moments of silence.

Wes walked out from behind the table and leaned against it, crossing his own arms. "You sat there at the beginning of this whole situation arguing with me about who Kurt was going to perform with. And yet, your team doesn't seem to understand what it means to let someone else shine."

Rachel gawked at him. "Kurt gave that first lead up to Quinn and he got a lead in the last song!" she argued.

"Three lines is not a lead, Rachel Berry," Wes deadpanned, narrowing his eyes at the girl. "Finn said he wanted Kurt to do all the high notes and in the end, that gave him next to nothing, whether they were high notes or not. Is that really your idea of a team allowing all its stars to shine?"

The girl scoffed. "You should talk! You only ever let Blaine sing lead."

Wes didn't miss a beat. "Blaine is our competition soloist, that's true. But in practice, we exercise everyone's voice. And maybe we need to showcase a little more onstage, but the point here is that everyone gets a chance at that spot. Why do you think Kurt had that audition for a competition solo?" Rachel, again, went quiet. "We didn't just hand it to Blaine, even if he is our primary lead soloist."

Rachel stayed quiet, glancing down at the table and Wes wondered if she was grasping what he was trying to say. He went on to make his final point when she still didn't say anything.

"Let me tell you the difference between the Warblers and the New Directions. Here, everyone works equally for their achievements. You guys, well, you just hand out solos on a silver platter to people who will bitch if they don't get it. You have no sportsmanship, Rachel, and as far as I'm concerned, your team may be friends, but you have absolutely no idea what it means to be a team."

With those words said, Wes swept from the room, headed off to lunch, leaving Rachel in a stoically silent wake.

Kurt barely noticed the dull pain that shot up his back as Blaine suddenly shoved him against the door of their dorm, his mouth attacking the pale boy's mere seconds after they shut themselves in the room.

The taller boy let out a surprised noise that was half a gasp and half a whine, but he welcomed the force of the kiss, hands going up into Blaine's curls as the shorter boy pressed him up against the door as much as he possibly could.

"That...was...so...hot…" Blaine gasped out between assaults on Kurt's lips. The only response he got was a moan and a tug on his hair. Blaine chuckled, pushing his tongue into the other boy's mouth, finally getting the chance to lick into it like he'd been feeling since the middle of the song.

Kurt sucked on the other boy's tongue, rocking his hips forward, seeking for that friction and finding Blaine already more than half hard.

Feeling bold, particularly after that song, Kurt released one hand from Blaine's curls and slid it down the boy's body, coming to rest just over his erection. He pressed the heel of his hand into the other boy's arousal.

Blaine suddenly let out a gasp, breaking the kiss and throwing his head back. His eyes were now dark with lust, which Kurt was sure his own eyes were in kind.

"I am so tempted just to rip your clothes off right now," Blaine said, causing Kurt to giggle.

"Mm, tempting," he said. He pressed his hand into Blaine's arousal again, and the other boy gritted his teeth. "But I'm not quite sure I'm ready for that yet."

The curly haired boy appreciated Kurt's honesty, and his words were able to bring him back down from the upward out of control spiral his hormones were climbing. He kissed the pale boy again, softer and gentler than before. "Me either," he whispered against his lips.

It felt like that one soft gentle moment was more powerful than the hot and heavy of the moments before, because both boys felt themselves fall over the edge with just those two little words that held no heat at all, and yet, were like a volcano erupting between them.

Blaine was breathing heavily, trying to come down from his high. "If we're ever going to play the oblivious card, we need to try harder," he said simply.

"Mm," Kurt said. "You knew it would be a challenge, because they want to play matchmaker."

The Warbler soloist nodded and sighed. "I think we need to step up our game."

"What do you suggest?" Kurt asked.

Blaine could not believe he was about to say the words that tumbled from his lips. "That we stop sitting near each other."

The pale boy shuddered. He didn't particularly like the idea of not sitting with Blaine, but he was ultimately ready with a reason if anyone asked.

"Okay, but that doesn't mean I have to like it," he said.

"I know. I won't like it either. But we can sit near each other all we want when we're alone."

"Yes please," Kurt said, and the two boys kissed again.

Blaine sighed. "I guess we better clean up and go face the music."

They gathered in the commons once more after lunch. There were a few curious glances exchanged when Kurt sat on one couch, while Blaine sat on another. They hadn't sat with each other at lunch, either.

In place of the hat, there was now a spinning wheel with dozens of song titles on it. "Since the New Directions went first last round, I believe it only fair The Warblers go first this round. This will be the duets round. Anthony, would you please spin the wheel?" Wes asked.

There were several covered snorts as the wheel landed on The Love Boat Theme Song. After a short debate, it was agreed that Anthony and Simon would sing the duet, as Simon had learned to speak english from watching old TV reruns, and was actually fairly familiar with the song.

They did a pretty good job harmonizing, and while there were still some giggles among the girls, everyone clapped for them.

Brittany spun the wheel for New Directions' first duet, giggling and bouncing when it landed on Purple People Eater. "Yay! Can I sing it? I love this song!"

"You have to sing it with someone else," Santana said, not sounding happy. "And I don't remember all the words."

"I do," Artie said. He and the blonde girl gave a great performance of the silly song, although Santana still didn't seem happy, but she smiled and hugged Brittany when the song was over.

Brittany was bouncing in her seat as Beatz spun the wheel. When it landed on Ten Minutes Ago from Cinderella, the beatboxer grinned and opened his mouth to say something when he caught Wes' eye. The Asian gave a subtle shake of his head. Beatz deflated.

After a moment of thought, the boy seemed to bounce back with a new idea. "Okay, Jeff is Cinderella and Nick is Prince Charming," he said, flouncing back to his seat.

(Nick, Jeff, Both)

Ten minutes ago I saw you,

I looked up when you came through the door.

My head started reeling,

You gave me the feeling

The room had no ceiling or floor.

The boys looked into each other's eyes as they sang, and Nick held out his hand to the pale boy, who took it, and allowed himself to be pulled into a chaste embrace as the two began to waltz around the room as they sang.

Ten minutes ago I met you,

And we murmured our how-do-you-do's.

I wanted to ring out the bells

And fling out my arms and

To sing out the news

I have found him!

He's an angel,

With the dust of the stars in his eyes!

We are dancing,

We are flying

And he's taking me back to the skies.

In the arms of my love I'm flying

Over mountain and meadow and glen,

And I like it so well

That for all I can tell

I may never come down again!

I may never come down to earth again!

Ten minutes ago I met you,

And we murmured our how-do-you-do's.

I wanted to ring out the bells

And fling out my arms and

To sing out the news:

I have found him,

I have found him!

In the arms of my love I'm flying

Over mountain and meadow and glen,

And I like it so well

That for all I can tell

I may never come down again!

I may never come down to earth again!

"Bravo!" Kurt shouted, giving the pair a standing ovation. From the couch across from him Blaine had also stood and applauded. Some of the girls in the room dabbed at their eyes at the beautiful dance.

Mike was the next to spin the wheel, frowning at the song that came up. "Well, I'm not singing a break up song with Tina."

"I'll sing it," Kurt said. "I just need a partner."

Quinn shrugged. "Might as well be me."

Kurt smiled at her, as they prepared for the song.

(Kurt, Quinn, together)

Do do do

Down dooby doo down down

Comma, comma, down dooby doo down down

Comma, comma, down dooby doo down down

Breaking up is hard to do

Don't take your love away from me

Don't you leave my heart in misery

If you go then I'll be blue

'Cause breaking up is hard to do

Remember when you held me tight

And you kissed me all through the night

Think of all that we've been through

And breaking up is hard to do

They say that breaking up is hard to do

Now I know

I know that it's true

Don't say that this is the end

Instead of breaking up I wish that we were making up again

I beg of you don't say goodbye

Can't we give our love another try?

Come on, baby, let's start anew

'Cause breaking up is hard to do

Now I know

I know that it's true

(Don't say that this is the end)

Instead of breaking up I wish that we were making up again

I beg of you don't say goodbye

Can't we give our love another try?

Come on, baby, let's start anew

'Cause breaking up is hard to do

Comma, comma, down dooby doo down down

Comma, comma, down dooby doo down down

Comma, comma, down dooby doo down down

Comma, comma, down dooby doo down

Everyone applauded them for their acting. If they didn't know any better, they would have thought Kurt and Quinn had been a couple. Of course, everyone knew them way better than that. But it begged the thought of what kind of couple they might have been if it had ever happened.

As they took their seats, David stepped up to spin the wheel for the Warblers. When it landed on I Got You Babe by Sonny and Cher, the dark skinned councilman got a wicked look on his face. "Trent and Thad, you got each other babes," he said, laughing.

"Wow David," Thad muttered as he stood to take his place. "But I get to be Cher."

Trent looked at him with wide eyes for a moment. "Okay, that's not weird." He coughed and shook his head as the music started and the two boys launched into the song. As they sang, Thad began to really ham it up, batting his eyes at Trent, and trying to imitate Cher's unique sound. He was so over the top, he had Trent's eyes watering with the effort not to laugh.

Everyone was cracking up once more when they finished.

Sam spun for New Directions. "Yes! Ghost Riders! I love this song!" he said. "Who will sing it with me?"

"I'll do it, Dude!" Finn said, standing up.

The two teens actually performed one of the most haunting renditions of the classic western song, giving a few people shivers.

Still shuddering, Michael walked up and spun the wheel. It landed on I'll Cover You from RENT and many people were jumping up, trying to cut in so they could do the song themselves, but Michael gathered the other Warblers and had a little meeting, minus two certain someones.

"Okay,' the boy said after they broke. He clapped his hands together. "We have decided that David will be Collins and Wes will be Angel." He grinned mischievously. "Have fun Wevid."

Wes looked a little reluctant, while David was muttering about having to fill Jesse L. Martin's shoes. The man was a legend!

"One minor note!" Blaine called out. "They have to act the part, including the kiss at the end of the song!"

Wes blushed, but David perked up at the thought.

(Wes, David, Both)

Live in my house, I'll be your shelter

Just pay me back

With one thousand kisses

Be my lover, I'll cover you

David had to admit that Wes was perfect as Angel. It was as if the song was written just to showcase his voice.

Open your door, I'll be your tenant

Don't got much baggage, to lay at your feet

But sweet kisses, I've got to spare

I'll be there and I'll cover you

Wes felt a lump in his throat as he saw the way David was looking at him. Admittedly, he'd been attracted to the other boy for a long time, almost as long as he'd known him, but now he thought it might be more than physical attraction between them. He truly cared for the darker boy.

I think they meant it

When they said you can't buy love

Now I know you can rent it

A new lease you are my love

On life, be my life

Just slip me on, I'll be your blanket

Wherever, whatever I'll be your coat

You'll be my king, and I'll be your castle

No, you be my queen, and I'll be your moat

I think they meant it

When they said you can't buy love

Now I know you can rent it

A new lease you are my love

On life, oh my life

I've longed to discover

Something as true as this is

So with a thousand sweet kisses, I'll cover you

(If you're cold and you're lonely)

With a thousand sweet kisses, I'll cover you

(You've got one nickel only)

With a thousand sweet kisses, I'll cover you

(When you're worn out and tired)

With a thousand sweet kisses, I'll cover you

(When your heart has expired)

Oh lover, I'll cover you, yeah

Oh lover, I'll cover you

And when they kissed, the room erupted into cheers and applause. They all knew they had just witnessed something amazing.

It took a few moments for anyone to remember that New Directions needed to spin again. Lauren stepped up and gave the wheel a really hard spin. "Wow, I actually know this song," she said. "Think you can keep up with me Santana?"

"Just don't step on my tail," The raven haired girl replied.

When the music started, Lauren's less than certain but no less enthusiastic voice rang out.

(Lauren, Santana, Both)

Macavity!

Macavity's a mystery cat, he's called the hidden paw

For he's a master criminal who can defy the law

He's the bafflement of Scotland Yard, the Flying Squad's despair

For when they reach the scene of crime Macavity's not there!

Macavity, Macavity, there's no one like Macavity

He's broken every human law, he breaks the law of gravity

His powers of levitation would make a fakir stare

And when you reach the scene of crime Macavity's not there!

You may seek him in the basement, you may look up in the air

But I tell you once and once again Macavity's not there!

It might not have been the most seamless performance of the day, but they had to give both girls credit, they gave it their all.

Kurt took it upon himself to give the final spin for the duet round for the Warblers and a pink tinted blush bloomed on his cheeks at the song it landed on. This time, Wes decided to play sadist, maybe to get back at Blaine.

"Kurt and Blaine have to sing this one together!" he said. And as though to make it final, he banged the gavel on the table. Some of the other Warblers and even the New Directions were starting to think of ways to get the thing away from him, maybe for good. Or at least for the duration of the lockdown.

"You're an ass Wesley," Blaine muttered, but no less got up to join Kurt centerstage. They shared a quick glance that spoke volumes, before turning to face the others when the music started.

(Kurt, Blaine, both)

Does he love me, I want to know

How can I tell if he loves me so

Is it in his eyes, oh no you'll be deceived

Is it in his eyes, oh no you'll make believe

If you want to know, if he loves you so

It's in his kiss

That's where it is, oh yeah

As they sang, they danced around the room, singing to certain people, although never once looking at each other.

Or is it in his face, oh no it's just his charm

In his warm embrace, oh no that's just his arm

If you want to know, if he loves you so

It's in his kiss

That's where it is, oh it's in his kiss

That's where it is, oh-oh

Kurt smirked as he stood in front of Nick and Jeff, pointing at them as if to say, 'do you hear what I'm telling you?' Meanwhile, Blaine was standing between Wes and David, an arm on each of their shoulders, acting as if he was telling them the secret to the universe.

Kiss him and squeeze him tight

And find out what you want to know

If it's love, if it really is

It's there in his kiss

How 'bout the way he acts, oh no that's not the way

And you're not listening to all I say

If you want to know, if he loves you so

It's in his kiss, that's where it is

Oh yeah it's in his kiss, that's where it is

Still not paying attention to what the other was doing, Blaine ended up in front of Puck and Lauren. He leaned into the large girl, and nodded towards the mohawked boy, making a gesture as if asking if he was a good kisser. The girl made a 'meh,' sound, making a so-so gesture.

Kurt was singing to Santana and Brittany, and subtly changed 'his' to 'her.'

Oh-oh, kiss him and squeeze him tight

And find out what you want to know

If it's love, if it really is

It's there in his kiss

How 'bout the way he acts, oh no that's not the way

And you're not listening to all I say

If you want to know, if he loves you so

It's in his kiss

That's where it is, oh yeah it's in his kiss

That's where it is, oh it's in his kiss

It's in his kiss

As the song came to a close, the two boys danced closer together, and ended back to back, with their arms crossed over their chests.

"Where's the goddamn chemistry?!" Wes shouted, banging the gavel on the table. The whole room fell into silence, Kurt and Blaine staring at him in disbelief and everyone else pausing mid-clap.

"What the hell dude?" Finn said, breaking the silence.

Wes blinked and very quickly rearranged himself, as though he hadn't just spewed an out of character outburst. He tugged smartly on his shirt and cleared his throat. "I mean, I expected you to act out the song with each other, not sing it to other people."

Kurt was the first of the two boys to respond. A smirk slid across his face. "Oh, were you? I was under the impression that karaoke was more about being fun and silly rather than acting the song with your partner."

Wes blanched and straightened up with a comeback. "If David and I were meant to act out I'll Cover You, the same goes for everyone else! Why do we get singled out?"

Blaine just gave Wes a look no one else could read, but apparently, it was a message that the Asian boy received loud and clear. He coughed and turned back to the wheel.

"Who's next?"

Tina was the one who made the last spin for New Directions. "Oh! You got this song from my iPod!" She laughed nervously. "Usually it's two women who sing it, but I guess Mike could do the second part."

As he joined her centerstage, she explained, "This is a song you might hear at a renaissance faire, sung by, well, Wenches." She blushed as the music began to play.

(Tina, (Mike) Both)

A Poor Made of Seventeen I am (I believe her, don't you?)

And I have never once laid with a man (I believe her, don't you?)

Well, it's not through lack of trying

And that is why I am sighing

And I'll tell you all about it if I can.

Everyone was laughing, and Mike was just smiling good naturedly, loving his girlfriend's unique personality and joie de vivre.

And I sing Oh dear, oh how can this be

I can't find a man who can satisfy me

Young Roger looked so handsome I could weep

With his hair of brown and eyes of blue so deep

At the wake I got excited (The wake?)

But my love went unrequited (The wake?)

On the way home from the wake he fell asleep

And I sing Oh dear, oh how can this be

I can't find a man who can satisfy me

An old Friar took interest in my charms (A man of the cloth?)

And I couldn't wait til I lay in his arms (A man of the cloth?)

But when he tripped up to me bed

He tripped into the well instead

And it wasn't just his pride that came to harm

A couple people looked scandalized, but were still giggling at the song.

And I sing Oh dear, oh how can this be

I can't find a man who can satisfy me

On our farm a pretty plow boy was employed (Hey! That's my Brother!)

I made a twist that he could not avoid

I took him to a shady would

But that did me no good

For it was other pretty plow boys he enjoyed (I'm telling ma!)

And I sing Oh dear, oh how can this be

I can't find a man who can satisfy me

And so you see that I am still..intact

Though it's certainly not effort that I've lact

For when I have rumpled up my gown

All the men have let me down

And I can't do it all on my own back

And I sing Oh dear, oh how can this be

I can't find a man who can satisfy me

By the end of the song, everyone was singing along to the infectious tune. Once the applause died down, Wes stood as David removed the spinning wheel.

"Great job, everyone! Time for our last round. Solos!" As David carried the wheel out of the room, Thad was pushing an old fashioned chalkboard in. Tapped to the chalkboard was more than three dozen balloons. "Each team, pick one person to throw your darts to select your songs. Once you know what the song is, you can choose who will sing it!"

It was Quinn who actually spoke up next, an idea having come to her. "I say since Kurt is technically playing neutral, he should pop all the balloons for both teams. However, he also needs to sing at least once for both teams." she said.

Kurt rolled his eyes. "As if I haven't done that every round anyway."

Quinn's ending words had Wes looking at the girl like he could kiss her. Declaring Kurt had to have a solo made him instantly have that much more gratitude for the former cheerleader. He banged his gavel on the table.

"Decided! Kurt pops the balloons and sings at least one solo for each team. New Directions will perform first once more."

Kurt stood up and accepted the dart Thad handed him. He hated being put on the spot like this, since he wasn't very good at darts, but refused to let anyone see how nervous he was. He took a breath, and aimed, popping a balloon dead center. Wes retrieved the slip of paper that dropped to the floor.

"New Directions' first solo will be American Pie. Choose your soloist!"

It only took thirty seconds for them to unanimously select Puck to sing the classic rock anthem. The mohawked boy stood up and turned to face the group as the music began to play.

A long long time ago

I can still remember how

That music used to make me smile

And I knew if I had my chance

That I could make those people dance

And maybe they'd be happy for a while

But February made me shiver

With every paper I'd deliver

Bad news on the doorstep

I couldn't take one more step

I can't remember if I cried

When I read about his widowed bride

Something touched me deep inside

The day the music died

So

Bye, bye Miss American Pie

Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry

And them good ole boys were drinking whiskey and rye

Singin' this'll be the day that I die

This'll be the day that I die

Did you write the book of love

And do you have faith in God above

If the Bible tells you so?

Do you believe in rock and roll?

Can music save your mortal soul?

And can you teach me how to dance real slow?

As he started the chorus again, almost everyone was singing along. So it was supposed to be a solo, who cared? It was just one of those songs everyone had to sing along to. They all clapped and whistled and cheered when the song was over.

Kurt moved to throw the next dart, hitting a balloon on the outside edge. Once again, Wes retrieved the slip of paper. "I believe David will be singing Never Gonna Give You Up for the Warblers."

The dark skinned councilman rolled his eyes, but when the music began playing, he sang the Rick Astley song with as straight of a face as he could give. The New Directions girls were all laughing, and joined him on the last chorus, and gave him a standing ovation, while all the boys teased him good naturedly.

Kurt missed with his next dart, and frowned at the board, as if it had deliberately moved out of the way. He retrieved the dart and threw it again, popping the balloon on the top right corner.

"So, which of the New Directions will be singing What Lola Wants?" Wes asked.

Smirking, Santana stood up. "Let me show you all how it's done!"

Whatever Lola wants Lola gets

And little man little Lola wants you

Make up your mind to have (your mind to have)

No regrets (no regrets)

Reline yourself resign yourself you're through

I always get what I Aim for

And your heart and soul is What I came for

Whatever Lola wants (Lola wants)

Lola gets (Lola gets)

The Latina flitted from boy to boy, teasing them as she sang, walking her fingers up Puck's arm, only to flick his nose before moving on to Simon and Anthony, giving them similar treatment.

Take off your coat

Don't you know you can't win (can't win)

You'll never never win

You're no exception to the rule

I'm Irresistible you fool Give in (give in you'll never win)

Whatever Lola wants Lola gets

I always get what I aim for And

Your heart and soul is what I came for

Whatever Lola wants (Lola wants)

Lola gets (Lola gets)

She gave Blaine's bow tie a tug, loosening it with one hand, while she fluffed his gelled curls with the other.

Take off your coat

Don't you know you can't win(can't win)

You'll never never win

You're no exception to the rule I'm

Irresistible you fool Give in (give in you'll never win)

There were whistles and catcalls mingled with the applause at the end of the song. Kurt was almost tempted to sidle over to Blaine and fix the bow tie, almost, but remembered himself.

He distracted himself by taking the next dart for the next Warblers song and just managed to pop a balloon on the bottom as the dart nearly landed short. Wes picked up the slip of paper. He grinned a bit. "Hey Trent, Invisible is all yours!"

Crowded hallways are the loneliest places

For outcasts and rebels

Or anyone who just dares to be different

And you've been trying for so long

To find out where your place is

But in their narrow minds

There's no room for anyone who dares to do something different

Oh, but listen for a minute

Trent could remember the first time he ever heard this song, and the story that Hunter Hayes had been one of those bullied kids. It was one of those 'it gets better things'. And it was something that the cherubic Warbler tried not to forget.

Trust the one

Who's been where you are wishing all it was

Was sticks and stones

Those words cut deep but they don't mean you're all alone

And you're not invisible

Hear me out,

There's so much more to life than what you're feeling now

Someday you'll look back on all these days

And all this pain is gonna be invisible

Oh, invisible

So your confidence is quiet

To them quiet looks like weakness

But you don't have to fight it

'Cause you're strong enough to win without a war

Every heart has a rhythm

Let yours beat out so loudly

That everyone can hear it

Yeah, I promise you don't need to hide it anymore

Oh, and never be afraid of doing something different

Dare to be something more

Emotions in this song were so easy to read and there had never been more serious looks of captivation in the room. Everyone was listening, and really listening to the words.

Trent was getting more into the emotions of the song, as he tended to do even when he was just singing along to it on his own. His eyes were shut and he was giving his all for every vocal.

Trust the one

Who's been where you are wishing all it was

Was sticks and stones

Yeah, the words cut deep but they don't mean you're all alone

And you're not invisible

Hear me out,

There's so much more of this life than what you're feeling now

And someday you'll look back on all these days

And all this pain is gonna be invisible

These labels that they give you

just 'cause they don't understand

If you look past this moment

You'll see you've got a friend

Waving a flag for who you are

And all you're gonna do

Yeah, so here's to you

And here's to anyone who's ever felt invisible

Yeah, and you're not invisible

Hear me out,

There's so much more to life than what you're feeling now

And someday you'll look back on all these days

And all this pain is gonna be invisible

It'll be invisible

As the song came to a close, the room fell into that kind of captivating silence that resonated when a powerful message had been received. Several people rushed forward to hug the boy, needing the comfort just as much as needing to give it.

"That's a really deep song," Tina said quietly, raising a hand to wipe a tear from her eye.

Kurt was stoically trying to hide his own tears as he made the next throw, and was surprised he actually hit the board. Wes picked up the slip of paper, but instead of reading himself, he passed it to Kurt, who opened it.

"I think Sam is the only one we've got who can do this song justice." The blonde boy looked at him in confusion, until he read the slip of paper, and then he smiled.

His rendition of Buddy Holly's Peggy Sue was spot on, and he received a well deserved round of applause at the end.

"Good ol' Sam!" Kurt said with a laugh as he grabbed another dart. He still couldn't really figure out why it was necessary for him to be designated dart thrower.

His mind was a little too distracted though and the dart was way off from the board. Instead, as one of the teachers was walking in to check on them, the dart slid through his toupe and pinned it to the wall.

The teacher's eyes went wide, but he didn't move. "Mr. Hummel, I suggest not throwing darts in such a confined area if your aim is so poor."

"Sorry, Mr. Parry." Kurt grimaced as he retrieved the dart and handed the teacher back his toupe. The rest of the room wasn't so apologetic, though. They were all in fits of laughter, especially the Warblers.

However, the teacher just smiled and shook his head goodnaturedly before leaving the room.

Kurt was still blushing from the incident as he came back to shoot the dart a second time. This time, it popped one of the clusters of balloons in the middle. Wes went to retrieve the paper, still laughing from the toupe incident.

When the Asian boy read the slip, it only caused him to laugh harder. "Okay, for reasons," he said through giggles, "this song goes to Thad."

Curiosity struck the face of the youngest councilman as he went to take the slip and then resolutely shook his head at Wes.

The head Warbler only grinned, "You said you wanted to be her." That was when the music started for Cher's Believe, but Thad held up a finger and Wes stopped the music in confusion, as the boy ran out of the room.

He came back minutes later with a mop head on his head and a tablecloth tied around him like a dress. Wes attempted not to snort. David wasn't so kind though.

Finally, Wes started the music again and Thad started singing into a potato masher he'd snatched from the kitchen. With the costume, his dancing, and his imitation of Cher's iconic voice, he could have almost passed for a lowkey Cher impersonator.

By the end of his performance, everyone was again, in fits of laughter. Blaine was holding his stomach because it hurt from laughing so hard.

Kurt, meanwhile, was trying to keep himself steady so he could hit the next balloon, and he snagged one at the top. Wes picked up the paper, doing his best to compose himself. He glanced at the paper and then beckoned a member from New Directions over.

Santana made her way over to look and the Latina smirked. "Oh, there is only one person who can pull this off. Kurt, show us your inner Glamnation rocker."

The pale boy did not need her to elaborate to know exactly who she was referring to. "Sure, give the glam rock song to me because I can hit those notes." He rolled his eyes and stripped off the jacket he was wearing and unbuttoned the cuffs of his sleeves to roll them up. Finally, he untied his skinny tie and left it hanging loose around his neck.

"Wait," Santana said. "Don't kill me for this, Porcelain." She reached forward to mess his hair a bit.

"Damn it, Satan!" Kurt cried, but she just reached out and popped open the top two buttons on his shirt, before returning to her seat. The pale boy decided he would let her get away with it. Just this once.

So hot

Out the box

Can we pick up the pace?

Turn it up,

Heat it up

I need to be entertained

Push the limit

Are you with it?

Baby, don't be afraid

I'm a hurt 'ya real good, baby

There was something about Adam Lambert that made Kurt just get in the zone. And though he hadn't admitted it when Santana picked him for this song, he knew that she was right. He was by far the only person in the room who could pull it off.

He kicked off with the most seductive expression on his face, one that proved he clearly was not just that baby penguin. And Blaine was wondering where these faces had been at that time.

Let's go

It's my show

Baby, do what I say

Don't trip off the glitz

That I'm gonna display

I told ya

I'm a hold ya down until you're amazed

Give it to ya 'til you're screaming my name

The pale boy wasn't stupid though, and he was quite sure he had to play his first flirtations carefully, so he sauntered his way over to Nick and Jeff and pulled each of them in on either side of him as he sang.

However, instead of making the two boys mad, Kurt did not miss the sneaky exchange between the two boys and he knew he needed to get out of there damn quick. Keeping character, he hip bumped both boys and danced off.

No escaping when I start

Once I'm in I own your heart

There's no way you'll ring the alarm

So hold on until it's over

Switching his attention to the boys of ND, he boldly sat in Artie's lap, effectively causing the wheelchair bound boy to blush. He leaned his face in close to the other boy's and slid his hand across his cheek as he pulled away again and moved off.

Oh, do you know what you got into?

Can you handle what I'm 'bout to do?

Cause it's about to get rough for you

I'm here for your entertainment

Kurt plotted his next move deliberately. He grabbed Trent by the tie, beckoning him forward as he danced backward, only to spin the other Warbler towards Artie. The pale boy threw the two of them a wink and danced on.

Oh, I bet you thought that I was soft and sweet

You thought an angel swept you off your feet

Well I'm about to turn up the heat

I'm here for your entertainment

This time, Kurt moved in behind Sam, one hand reaching around to grab the front of the blonde boy's shirt. Sam was probably the one straight boy that Kurt felt the most comfortable putting on a show with. He'd accepted Kurt for all that he was right from the start, no questions asked.

To his credit, Sam played along, moving with Kurt and smiling at the pale boy. But that was to be expected from the country boy.

While Sam wasn't affected by it, Finn couldn't quite hide the look of discomfort that passed over his face. It wasn't that he thought it was wrong for Kurt to be dancing like that with a straight boy, but more the thought that his 'little' brother was doing it.

It's alright

You'll be fine

Baby, I'm in control

Take the pain

Take the pleasure

I'm the master of both

Close your eyes

Not your mind

Let me into your soul

I'm a work ya 'til your totally blown

He sashayed over to David, dancing down the dark skinned boy's body, all the way to a crouch on the floor and turning to face him as he came back up, nearly ghosting over the boy's groin, but not.

David couldn't suppress the shudder that rolled through him. There was no doubt that Kurt could definitely be damn sexy, and now he kind of wanted someone to blow him.

No escaping when I start

Once I'm in I own your heart

There's no way to ring the alarm

So hold on until it's over

Kurt spun away into Puck, this time, playing a real tease, as though he were going to give Puck something, and was drawing it away at the last second. The pale boy had an inkling that the mohawked boy wouldn't have passed on sex with a guy. After all, to him, sex was sex. But he'd be damned if he became Puck's first.

Oh, do you know what you got into?

Can you handle what I'm 'bout to do?

Cause it's about to get rough for you

I'm here for your entertainment

The tall boy danced away from Puck, leaving him pining for more. This time, his focus landed on Wes and the seductive grin that crossed his face had the councilman swallowing hard.

In this case, the lines could be so true because it was Wes' fault for throwing this song in the pool. So now he was getting his money's worth. Kurt spent a fair moment grinding against the Asian boy, while tossing a look David's way, in an effort to spark a bit of jealousy, just to egg Wevid in the right direction.

Oh, I bet you thought that I was soft and sweet

You thought an angel swept you off your feet

Well I'm about to turn up the heat

I'm here for your entertainment

Kurt spun his way towards Mike next, but instead of dancing sexily with the boy, he inclined him to do a mini duet dance. He let Mike lead and followed surprisingly well, grinning as he danced off afterward.

Oh oh, mm

Entertainment

Oh oh, oh entertainment

I'm here for your entertainment

He landed in a lap again, this time, facing Beatz, straddling the boy as he wrapped a hand around his neck and through his head back. Beatz' eyes were wide in a way that suggested he couldn't decide if he was turned on, or jealous that Kurt knew how to give that kind of attention.

The pale boy slipped out of the beatboxer's lap only moments later with ease and moved on.

Ooh

Do you like what you see?

Woah

Let me entertain ya 'till you scream

Kurt had danced, no shimmied his way over to Blaine and was dancing pressed up against him with one hand around his neck, that seductive look on his face.

The curly haired boy felt himself go from nil to full attention in seconds and he wanted Kurt to make him scream his name. But just before he could grab the boy and hold him there, the sexual fiend as he had become, shimmied away from him, dancing off to another boy.

Oh, do you know what you got into?

Can you handle what I'm 'bout to do?

Cause it's about to get rough for you

I'm here for your entertainment

Kurt's final victim that song was Michael. He approached the boy in a saucy sort of manner, wrapping his arms around his neck and dancing closely to him for a few moments before sliding away for the final refrain of the song.

Oh, I bet you thought that I was soft and sweet (bet ya thought)

You thought an angel swept you off your feet

Well I'm about to turn up the heat (turn up the heat)

I'm here for your entertainment

There was a moment of stunned silence as the song came to an end, before the girls all began clapping and cheering. It took another moment for the boys to join in.

Wes opened his mouth to say something, but an image flashed through his mind, and he had to stop and swallow before he could get any words out. "I think we could use a break now. Say, thirty, no forty-five minutes?"

There was a general murmur from every male in the room, and a rush towards the door. Kurt swore he heard Trent mutter to someone, "If Blaine doesn't get his head out of his ass soon, I'm going for it!"

"Not if I beat you to it," he thought Artie replied.
