U.A's Saiyan Heroes-22
"Sorry, but would you mind repeating that once more I don't think I heard you correctly." Carmine said.
"I said it, as clear as crystal. I am a Super Saiyan God." Atlas chuckled.
"That can't be true. The Super Saiyan God is just a myth, a legend that makes the Super Saiyan Legend, look like a documentary." Carmine said.
"I assure you, I am very much real." Atlas smiled. "Though I suppose I should explain my origins. Come, I'll serve refreshments."
Kaen and the others followed Atlas to a sitting area, as he had something brought over by a small android looking robot, carrying a tray of drinks and snacks.
"Now. First, let me start from the beginning." Atlas smiled. "Originally, I was a normal Saiyan, one of the best warriors, and highest ranking among the elite. Now, at this time, the secret to becoming a Super Saiyan, was common knowledge among our people. The trigger for it was anger, for most anyway. For some it was jealousy. The trigger was different for many, but those with the most potential, became the Legendary Super Saiyans, with their hair turning green instead of blonde."
"That's… surprisingly logical." Carmine said.
"So, how'd you become the Super Saiyan God?" Jiro asked.
"I was getting to that." Atlas said. "Now, the era I lived in, was actually one that was ruled by evil. There was a group of us who couldn't stand that, and fought back against the tyranny. However, we weren't strong enough to take on the great Oozaru, six of us, with righteous hearts, banded together, all of us capable of turning into Super Saiyans, and the five of them, transferred their power to me, turning me into a Super Saiyan God. However, once I had first accessed that power, I was able to access it again on my own, and eventually after multiple uses, I entered it, and was never able to turn it off again. When I first gained the power, I defeated the tyranny, but to make sure no one would use my power for their own gain, I left after that, and have been on Earth Alpha since then."
"So… why is your name Atlas?"
"When I first arrived, there was a meteor that was going to destroy this world, but I stopped it with my brute force, and because it was so dark at the time, the people of that era, mistook me for one of their titans of legend, the one Zeus had cursed to keep the sky up from crushing the world below."
"An' that's how you got the name Atlas." Jiro exclaimed.
"But I'm afraid your efforts to stop the tyranny were in vain." Kaen stated. "According to my sister, the tyranny quickly returned to Planet Vegeta, after a couple decades of peace."
"I see. Well at least some good came out of my efforts, no matter how brief they were." Atlas exclaimed.
"As much fun as this is, I think we should be heading back now." Jiro said. "According to my watch, it's getting to be near sunset."
"We should be going then." Kaen said, getting up. "Thanks for entertaining us Atlas."
"Hold on, before you go; may I speak with Kaen alone for a moment?" Atlas asked.
"We'll be waiting outside the temple if you need us." Mina stated.
"Don't take too long." Carmine exclaimed.
After they left, it was only Atlas and Kaen remaining in the temple.
"So, what is it you wished to speak to me about?" Kaen inquired.
"I was wanting to ask you something. Sometime a couple nights ago, I felt a strong surge of pure hearted energy, collide with a strong surge of impure energy. Did you by chance happen to unlock the power of a Super Saiyan?" Atlas questioned.
"I did actually. My hair turned blonde, and my eyes turned blue. Why?"
"Hmm, as I suspected, not the true Super Saiyan power, but you've managed to reach the Super Saiyan level, none the less." Atlas exclaimed. "Can you access it again?"
"Uh… no, I did so completely on a fluke. Why are you asking me these things?" Kaen asked.
"I'm assessing your potential." Atlas said.
"Well, I'm gonna be leaving to fulfill a promise I made to Kami soon, so I'm needing to go and get ready." Kaen said.
"When you return from fulfilling the Changeling's request, which I know you will, come and see me once more, and I will have one more question for you to answer." Atlas exclaimed.
"Okay, but…"
"Ah, get going. You have a journey to prepare for." Atlas stated, interrupting Kaen's question.
"Okay, I'll get going." Kaen said, before leaving the temple.
Atlas looked at Kaen, before turning back to the shrine he was sitting in front of, and bowed to the statue that had been there the whole time. After feeling Kaen and the others disappear with Instant Transmission, Atlas raised his head, and had a deep look of satisfaction, and relief on his face.
"I believe, I have found, the one." Atlas smiled.
~Day of Departure~
"So, remind me why you're taking those three with you?" Athena asked, as Kaen finished checking off his list of survival camping equipment, with Mina, Jiro, and Carmine doing the same.
"Because I'm needing help. Originally I was only going to take Carmine and Mina with me, but Jiro's Quirk will be good for recognisance." Kaen said, clipping the last bit on his bag.
"Guess I can't stop you from going, even if we did just get you back from the dead." Athena said. "By the way, Aunt Gine wanted to talk with you about something before you all left for the mission. I'll go get her."
"Athena, don't exert yourself, I can go and get her." Mirko said.
"Rumi, I'm not helpless, I'm just pregnant." Athena said, rubbing her showing baby belly. "Kaen, remember, when these babies are born, you're going to use Genetic Reprogramming to make them Rumi's biological children."
"I know, you made me swear on my Saiyan Pride that I'd do this favor for you, before actually explaining to me what it is." Kaen said.
"Wait, you tricked him into making that oath before you asked him to do your favor?" Jiro asked.
"I for one find that sneaky and underhanded." Mina exclaimed.
"Not to mention wounding to a Saiyan's Pride." Carmine added.
"I'm sorry alright, I just don't want my first children to be spawned from a villain." Athena said. "Rumi and I were planning on me getting pregnant through stem-cell treatment, so the baby, or in this case babies, would be hers, but instead I got raped and knocked up with Katsuki's."
Kaen sighed, before throwing the jacket, King Kai gave him, onto his bag and going to Athena, and sitting her on the couch.
"What are you doing?" Athena asked.
"Something either really stupid, or brilliant." Kaen said, putting his hand on her pregnant belly. After a minute of concentration, two Genetic Reprograming Screens popped up, and both of them, showing for a pair of twin girls. "Well, I got good news and bad news. Good news is, they're both girls."
"Bad news?" Rumi asked.
"I'm able to use my Genetic Reprograming Quirk on them before they're even born." Kaen exclaimed pulling a couple strands of Rumi's hair from her head and went to do his alterations, erasing Katsuki's DNA completely from the twins genetic code, and using the strands of hair as samples for Rumi's DNA to change them, making them entirely Rumi and Athena's kids. "You owe me big time for this Athena." Kaen said, after he initiated the changes. "The changes have been made, I've even made sure to make their developments as smooth as possible. You may end up a few months overdue do to the Genetic Alterations happening mid-gestation. If that happens, don't go to the doctors to induce labor, just wait until your body decides to let them out. It'll be safer."
"Don't induce labor, got it." Athena stated.
"So, where exactly is it we're going to?" Mina asked.
"We're going to the planet Namek. Kami predicted that the person she'd want me to fight, would be there around now. Originally, I was hoping we'd have a couple days to set up a base before our target got there, but you all made me take that stupid vacation, so we're just gonna have to go on the fly I suppose." Kaen exclaimed as he went and finished up fastening his bag.
"Who is it this Kami person is wanting us to fight?" Jiro asked.
"Someone from the same alien race as her, a Changeling named Frieza." Kaen exclaimed.
There was a loud crash of china and a wooden tray that took them by surprise. Kaen and the group turned to see Gine standing there, with a look of horror on her face.
"No, not Frieza. You can't fight Frieza." Gine said.
"Why not?" Kaen asked. "He's some tyrant who's claiming to be the emperor of the universe, and destroying any planet he doesn't like. I have to fight him."
"You don't understand Kaen, Frieza is the one who destroyed our home planet, and not even, the entire Saiyan Race against him could defeat him." Gine exclaimed. "You, me, Athena, Kakarot, and Carmine barely escaped with our lives before the planet was destroyed. He destroyed the Saiyan Race, because he feared the legend of the Super Saiyan. Even with the level of power you're at now, there's no way you'll be able to defeat him."
"Aunt Gine, I am a Super Saiyan. I'm not gonna be defeated that easily. No matter how strong an opponent is, they will always fall to a good strategy." Kaen exclaimed. "I got this. I owe Kami for saving my life, and this is how she wants me to repay it. I'll be careful, and I won't be alone."
"At least take Midoriya with you, he's a strong fighter as well." Gine said.
"I tried asking him to come, but he said he doesn't wanna leave because of Penny's condition, plus a wedding he still needs to plan out with Dr. Polendina." Kaen exclaimed. "I'm bringing Carmine, Mina, and Jiro, because all of them, are able to keep up with me in a fight. Plus… I want to give Vegeta another piece of my mind if I run into him on Namek."
"Why in all the universe, would you go looking to pick a fight with the Prince of our Race?" Athena asked.
"Well…"
"It's best my brother learn he's been dethroned by my husband." Carmine smiled.
Athena and Gine's eyes widened before they looked to Kaen, who was scratching the back of his head nervously.
"Kaen?" Gine asked.
"Well, Carmine wanted to join the harem, and she said that if I let her, she'd tell me how to let the others who didn't want to be married to me, that they're free to marry someone else." Kaen said. "Basically getting a divorce."
"I could have told you how to do that." Gine exclaimed.
"I guess." Kaen chuckled.
"There are two ways of going about it. One, you do something drastic by killing those who you didn't want to be married to." Carmine said.
"I'm wanting to avoid that." Kaen said.
"Then there's the Royal Decree. The decree states that any girls who choose to leave, can do so, and the marriage between the pair, or more, will be null and void, so long as the decree is made within a year of the marriage." Carmine exclaimed.
"I'm going with that one. An' since I'm now technically royalty, I'm allowed to make that decree." Kaen said.
"Fine, guess that's fair reasoning." Gine said.
"So, what were you wanting to speak with us about?" Kaen asked.
"Oh, well you see…"
"Gine, is something wrong? I thought I heard the china break a minute ago?" A new, unfamiliar voice asked, grabbing all their attention as Whis came walking into the room. "Oh, hello there all of you."
"I was gonna say, we have someone who's interested in speaking with you Kaen." Gine said. "This is Whis, right hand servant and mentor to Lord Beerus, the Destroyer God."
"So this is Kaen huh? I must say, you are rather fetching, and you do seem like quite a powerful fighter, for a mortal. Though I must admit, I am a bit shocked at seeing that scar on your face, no matter. My name is Whis, and as your lovely aunt said, I'm the right hand servant, and teacher to Beerus the Destroyer."
"Nice to meet you." Kaen said.
"Now, down to business." Whis exclaimed. "Your aunt has made me an offer I simply cannot refuse. She has asked, that I train you, to become an even more powerful fighter."
"In exchange?" Kaen asked.
"She has agreed to make copies of all her family recipes for me to cook up and experiment with." Whis smiled.
"Whis, and Lord Beerus are rather delicate and refined connoisseur of the universe. But if Lord Beerus has something to eat he doesn't like in the least, he destroys the planet it came from." Gine said.
"In fact, it was your aunt's delectable dish of Beef Roast that saved Planet Vegeta from being destroyed by Lord Beerus, though that didn't change how Frieza destroyed it." Whis exclaimed.
"So, I'm to be trained under you, and you get her recipes in return?" Kaen clarified.
"That's correct. Normally it would require you to agree to become a Destroyer God, to become my student, but your aunt's cooking is so tasty that I hadn't the heart to refuse such a delectable deal." Whis exclaimed.
"Well, it's gonna have to wait for a while." Kaen said. "As much as I'd like to be put through the training regimen of a deity, I'm a little preoccupied at the moment."
"Such as…?"
"I'm to go after Frieza and kick his ass for one." Kaen said, clenching his fists. "Honestly, since Athena told me he was responsible for destroying our home world, I've been wanting a chance to fight him, so me fulfilling Kami's request works out perfectly in my favor."
"Kaen…" Jiro said. "Your hair."
Kaen looked in the reflection of the television screen and saw that he had unconsciously gone Super Saiyan. Taking a deep breath, Kaen deactivated his Super Saiyan form, and returned to normal.
"I see. You're angry, and you have every right to be." Whis exclaimed. "If I recall correctly, you don't even remember your biological parents, do you?"
"I was only a month old when the planet was destroyed, so no I don't." Kaen stated.
"Well then, how about this? I'm needing to depart from the planet myself in a bit, so why don't I give you all a lift to Namek while I'm at it? It's on the way, and I'd be more than happy to help a future student of mine." Whis exclaimed.
"If you're sure." Kaen said.
"Great, then we'll depart in about ten minutes. I do have a dish in the oven that we can eat on the go." Whis smiled turning to leave.
"Um, Gine Sensei?" Mina asked.
"What's up?" Gine asked.
"Why did you want to have that Whis guy train Kaen?" Mina inquired.
"I had the thought after I got word that Kaen had returned. I wanted to make him stronger, I might not be able to see Raditz or Kakarot again, but I'll be damned if I lose my nephew to death's cold grip again." Gine exclaimed.
"You're not wanting to lose any more family. I get it." Jiro smiled, adjusting her bag onto her shoulders.
"Kaen, please just promise me you'll be safe and careful and you'll come back to me alive." Gine exclaimed. "I don't think I could handle loosing you again."
"I promise Aunt Gine." Kaen smiled, giving her a hug. "Now we have to go."
"Right, Whis should be waiting for you in the back yard." Gine said.
"Before we go, take this Athena, and have all the girls I'm married to, sign it if they wish. It's a contract that states that I will no longer be their husband, and that there will be no strings attached. Bring this to the class in the morning." Kaen said.
"Alright, be safe little bro." Athena stated, accepting the rolled up scroll of paper.
Heading for the back, Kaen, Mina, Jiro, and Carmine found Whis standing there, with a large rectangular glass box, beside him, and the gem in his staff glowing.
"Um, why's your staff glowing?" Mina asked.
"Oh, I caught these four intruders trying to sneak their way onto the premises." Whis said, bringing down a bubble with Midoriya, Penny, Yang, and Mei, all bunched up in a pile in in the bubble.
"Let them down, but be careful with the girl in green with ginger hair, she's pregnant." Kaen exclaimed.
Doing as Kaen said, Whis set Penny down gently, while the other three fell out of the bubble as if it had been popped, when they had just phased through it without warning, while the tech based Quirk mother-to-be, was set down gently, like a cherry on top of the pile the other three had formed.
"What are you four doing here?" Kaen asked.
"Penny and I came because we were invited by Athena and Rumi to hang out as two couples expecting to be parents." Midoriya said.
"I came because I heard you were going to be fighting a powerful opponent, and I want in." Yang said.
"Not happening." Kaen stated.
"I'm here because I wanted to give you each of these before you left." Mei said holding out a small case before opening it. "I promise you, they won't explode."
"What are they?" Jiro asked grabbing one.
The contents of the case looked like fitbits, and what looked like Bluetooth earpieces.
"These are communicators, put them on, and you've instantly got communication between the four of you. The watches act as signal transmitters and receivers, while also containing protection protocols. Tap the screen twice and give it a command, like defence mode, or attack mode, and you'll have more protection and offensive power." Mei explained as the four of them each took theirs.
"So cool." Mina smiled as a slim screen popped out of the ear piece and went in front of her right eye.
"I based them off the scanner Carmine had, and made a few tweaks of my own to the design. They can even read the power levels of your opponents and allies. They can even keep track of your own power levels, and see where you stand in a fight. It'll determine whether it be best to fight, retreat, or strategize before fighting as a team. It'll even tell you when you're too weakened in battle to continue fighting." Mei explained.
"That's quite the accomplishment in technology." Jiro smiled.
"Best part about them, is I built them to adapt to any quirks the users might have." Mei exclaimed.
"Now that is impressive as hell." Kaen smiled, before giving her a kiss on the cheek, causing her to blush. "We'll all be back as soon as we can, so try not to blow up the school while I'm gone."
"G-got it." Mei said.
"Alright, fine go without me. But I want something in return when you get back." Yang said.
"An' that would be?" Kaen asked.
"You're gonna put a baby in my belly." Yang smiled.
There was a moment of silence between the two as the girls had already loaded onto the Hexahedron while Kaen and Yang looked at each other. Kaen looking kinda scared, and Yang looking rather smug.
"Nope." Was all Kaen said, before zipping onto the Hexahedron. "Whis, let's get going."
"Right away Kaen." Whis said, amused at how Kaen reacted to Yang's request for a pregnancy.
"Hey, get back here Kaen." Yang called, as the Hexahedron went flying up into the air. "I will convince you to give me a baby."
"Not gonna happen." Kaen called back, before the Hexahedron took off, faster than Yang could see.
"Well, that was something." Mina said.
"I know. It was weird how everyone's going baby crazy lately." Jiro said.
"Well, Penny's pregnant, Uraraka is most likely next, probably Melissa afterwards." Carmine said. "Though, I wouldn't mind raising a little Prince or Princess of my own. But I'm not ready for that kind of responsibility just yet."
"I'm glad to hear you're being responsible Carmine. Now dig in everyone, I made enough beef roast to feed an army of Saiyans." Whis smiled, setting down several large trays of the food he cooked. "We'll reach planet Namek in about twenty minutes."
"Oh man this looks so good." Kaen smiled, as they all dug into the food.
"Hey Kaen, I've been curious about something." Mina said with a full mouth of food.
"What's up?" Kaen asked.
"If you turned Jiro and me into pure blooded Saiyan's like Carmine and Athena, why don't we have the appetites like you, Carmine, and Athena?" Mina inquired.
"Oh, there's a simple reason behind that." Kaen chuckled. "When I was doing the Genetic Reprograming, I made it so your metabolisms stayed the same, without changing when I changed your species, since it would bankrupt your parents just to feed you for one week."
"Well that was certainly considerate of you Kaen." Whis smiled. "Why don't I pick up the pace a little?"
~Planet Namek~
The scenery of the planet was so calm, and the beauty of the planet was breath taking. But the two racing across the terrain of the planet's solid ground, weren't in the mood for the scenery, they were on a mission, and they were following the power levels they felt that were strong, and giving off an evil vibe.
"Gohan, you're putting out too much energy. Keep it as low as you can." Krillin said.
"Right, got it." Gohan affirmed as they continued to race across the hills of the Namekian's home world.
"We're close. They must be right up over that ridge Gohan." Krillin said, feeling the strong power levels getting more intense. "We should walk from here."
"Okay."
Krillin and Gohan began to slow their pace as they approached the location of the power they were feeling. Sneaking up over the ridge, Krillin and Gohan peeked over the ledge, keeping low to the ground, as not to be spotted. There, they saw three beings, two standing on either side of the third, who was in some sort of floating chair device.
"Just our luck, we're right in front of them." Krillin said, as they ducked down. "Let's go around."
"Right." Gohan said, following Krillin to find a different vantage point.
Sneaking around the area, Krillin and Gohan found a spot where they could clearly see everything going on, from a view that was somewhat behind and to the right of the three figures.
"Hey, that looks just like the spaceship we came here in." Gohan said, noticing the design of one of the buildings.
"That's weird, I thought they had a radar, but it looks like they're still searching." Krillin exclaimed. "There's the guy in the hover vehicle again. He's definitely the one in charge. His power level's massive."
"Yeah, you're not kidding." Gohan stated, as they were both quivering at the sensation of the leader's power level.
"Eh? Check it out, take a look at what those guys have tucked under their arms, it's the Dragon Balls." Krillin said, noticing the two grunts and what they were carrying. "I can't believe the size of them."
"Get down." Gohan said, before they ducked down, narrowly avoiding the pink fat grunt catching sight of them.
"Huh?" He pondered, seeing nothing there.
"What's wrong, Dodoria?" Frieza questioned. "Does your scouter indicate something?"
"I don't know. For a second, I thought I detected a very weak power level. An' then it just disappeared." Dodoria said, turning to look at Frieza. "It's probably just a bird or a small rodent. Nothing that should cause us any alarm."
At the same time, Gohan and Krillin were laying low, whimpering in fear.
"We gotta be careful. Cuz, if they spot us, we're as good as dead!" Krillin stated.
Looking back over the Cliffside, Krillin and Gohan were able to make out what the following events were transpiring through.
"Lord Frieza, we only found five of them. We're bringing them out now. It looks like the others ran off, before we got here." One of the grunts stated.
"Let's get moving. Believe me, you don't want to make me come in after you." Another grunt said, pointing his weapon at the Namekians in the house, before the Nameks came out, one by one.
"Huh?" Krillin questioned getting a look at them as they came out.
"They look just like Piccolo." Gohan said.
"Guess we found the Nameks." Krillin stated.
From their point of view, it looked like two of the Nameks were children, while the others were elders.
"Look Namek, I'm about ready to put one between your eyes and drag you out myself. Got it? Now move your feet." A third grunt said, shoving one of the elderly Namekians out of the house.
One of the children looked around nervously, as Frieza's henchmen were laughing maniacally.
"Aww, you scared? You should be." The first grunt said, before smacking the child on the back of the head, like a bully.
"Those jerks. He'd better lay off that kid." Krillin stated.
"Who are these guys Krillin? I mean, they're all dressed like Vegeta."
"Good question. I mean, they wear the same uniforms, but they're not Saiyans… Who knows? Maybe Vegeta really is the only one left." Krillin exclaimed. "Well, that is except for you, Goku, and Kaen."
"But, then who?" Gohan asked.
"Remember what Goku's brother Raditz told us when he came to earth?" Krillin asked. "They scour space for planets that will bring a high price on the galactic market. Once they find them, they send their warriors there, to purge the planets of any life and make them ready for selling to the highest bidder. My guess is they're more members of the planet trade. Although, I don't see Vegeta around anywhere. Maybe these guys are like the, competition or something."
Down below, the Namekians were shoved right in front of their attackers, and the head of the village, looked shocked to see four of the seven Dragon Balls, tucked under the arms of Frieza's two commanding officers.
"I doubt I need an introduction, but just in case, I am the mighty Frieza, and yes, all the horrible stories you've heard are true." Frieza exclaimed. "Now then, let's get right to it. We know there were others here with you earlier. At least five, and since my men and I have much better things to do than hunt down a bunch of Nameks, I wonder if you'd be so kind, as to tell us where they are." Frieza stated. "I'm sorry, where are my manners? I didn't say please." He said, before he raised his right hand pointer finger up, and glowing with power, giggling at how the Namekians reacted.
"Damn it, if Goku or Kaen were here, they'd be able to wipe the floor with this guy." Krillin said. "I doubt he would stand much of a chance against Kaen's Quirks."
"If you still have any misgivings about cooperating with us, I would strongly urge you to give them up. You see we can do this one of two ways. Either you can tell us what we want to know. Or we can force you to tell us what we want to know." Frieza exclaimed. "An' believe me, you don't want the latter. So, now that we understand each other, I think it's time you started talking." Frieza stated, deactivating the energy attack.
"Nawainita hanita emao moteleki koeto." The village leader exclaimed speaking the Namekians native tongue.
"Hmph. Clever old fool, don't think you can trick us, by pretending to speak only Namek. I know you're fluent in the common tongue." Frieza exclaimed.
"The elders stay in the village with the children, while the men go out to work in the fields. Will that do?" The Namekian elder questioned.
"That's better. See how well we do when you cooperate?" Frieza questioned. "Now, onto the next question. I understand that you have something here in your possession that I would very much like to have in mine. The six star, Dragon Ball. I'll give you one chance to tell me where it is."
"I… don't know what you're talking about." The elder Namek said, hesitating with his response, causing Frieza to giggle in amusement.
"Dodoria…"
"Yes?"
"Do you remember that first Namek elder we visited? Doesn't our new friend here, remind you of him in some way?" Frieza asked.
"Yeah, he thought he could play dumb, too. He said he had no idea what the Dragon Balls were." Dodoria exclaimed.
"Oh yes, he was quite the stubborn one at first, but it wasn't too long before he was willing to talk. We simply had to start killing his friends, one by one." Frieza stated.
"What?" Krillin practically shouted.
Frieza's threat was causing the Nameks to panic, and fear for their lives as they didn't want to die, and the children were the most afraid.
"After that, he was a regular wellspring of useful information. For example, he explained to us how long ago, the oldest and the wisest of the Nameks created seven Dragon Balls. How he placed them at different locations, all over the planet, entrusting each one to the care of a Namek elder. An' how if all seven are collected, the Eternal Dragon appears, able to grant any wish a heart may desire. He also told us that anyone seeking a Dragon Ball must pass tests of bravery and intelligence, before an elder will turn it over. I offered to take these tests, of course, but he refused to give me the Dragon Ball at any cost. So I had no choice but to take it… along with his life."
"You cold-blooded murderer." The elder spat.
"At any rate, after our difficulties with the first elder, we found the next three to be quite agreeable." Frieza exclaimed. "By the time we arrived, they were all too willing to hand over their Dragon Balls."
"They did not hand them over." The elder growled.
"Our brothers would never willingly give a Dragon Ball to the likes of you, not in a million years." Another elder said.
"Don't be so sure, you underestimate our powers of persuasion." Frieza exclaimed. "Zarbon, why don't you show them?"
"Gladly." The green haired commander, said agreeing to Frieza's request, before he was gone from their sights, leaving the Namekian Elders in shock.
In almost as quickly as he vanish, Zarbon reappeared behind them. The elders sensed this, and as one of them turned around to face him, Zarbon had kicked him in the neck, breaking it, and killing him instantly, as he went flying through the air, and landed on the ground with a heavy thud, just as Zarbon landed on the ground where the now dead Namek elder once stood.
The other Namek elder went to attack Zarbon, hoping to avenge his fallen brother.
"No." The Namek Village Leader cried out.
Zarbon threw one of the two Dragon Balls he had, up into the air, and jumped out of the way, causing the Nameks attack to hit one of the lower class foot soldiers, before he sent his own attack at the village elder, killing the Namekian, leaving the two children, and the Village Leader on their own.
Landing beside Frieza, Zarbon gave a chuckled, moving a lock of his hair back, before reaching up his hand, expecting to catch the five star Dragon Ball.
Up on the Cliffside, Krillin and Gohan were in utter disbelief as to what they just witnessed.
"Oh man, they killed him." Krillin stated.
"No." Gohan growled, his anger rising, along with his power level.
"Gohan, you gotta keep your power level down. They'll notice." Krillin said.
"I'm just too angry." Gohan said.
"I know it's hard, but there's nothing either of us could have done." Krillin stated. "Though if Kaen had seen that, he'd probably have thrown caution to the wind, and charged in, power level at its max, right about now. But we can't beat these guys fighting them head on. We're gonna have to be smart if we're gonna want to get the Dragon Balls, and wish Piccolo and the others back to life. Whatever happens down there, we just have to wait."
"What do you say? Do you think you're ready to start cooperating with us yet?" Frieza cackled.
"What do you want with the Dragon Balls anyway?" The only remaining elder asked.
"Oh, just a tiny little wish. For the one thing I don't already have: The power of eternal life." Frieza exclaimed.
"Eternal life?" Krillin repeated. "Well that figures. It's the same thing Vegeta wants to wish for."
"So I guess they really are Vegeta's competition." Gohan exclaimed.
"An' they're winning." Krillin stated.
"Do whatever you will with me, but I'm still not going to give you a Dragon Ball." The Namekian Elder stated.
"Of course not… please you stubborn Namek… you think you're so noble. Even under threat of pain, you refuse to surrender you precious Dragon Ball. Well, we'll see how noble you are when your children are at stake."
"Ah. Please, no." The elder pleaded. Frieza began raising his finger, preparing an energy attack to strike the children with. "Please. I'll tell you anything." The elder said, hiding the children behind him.
Gohan and Krillin were waiting with baited breath, with Gohan's power level leaking out with his rising anger, causing Dodoria's scouter to go off, and look in their direction.
"Quick, get down." Krillin said.
"Lord Frieza, I'm picking up that power level again. Up there, it came from just over that ridge." Dodoria said, looking in the general direction of the two. "I think someone's been watching us."
"Hmm…" Frieza pondered, before he noticed something. "Zarbon, why are you still holding your arm up like an idiot waiting for something to fall and land into the palm of your hand?"
"Lord Frieza… the five star Dragon Ball… it never came down from when I threw it into the air." Zarbon said, his face an expression of worry and horror.
"WHAT?" Frieza questioned, looking up, only to see nothing.
"What the… where'd it go?" Krillin asked, noticing the same thing.
~Goku's Ship~
"9,999… 10,000!" Goku counted as he finished doing 10,000 sit ups in 20X Earth's gravity, before he fell back in relief, and his stomach growled. "Food… I need food…" He groaned, as he started to hallucinate some of his favorite foods. "I'm so hungry I could eat this whole ship."
Goku grunted as he turned himself over, and crawled to the wall of the ship, while the gravity generator was still active, before he forcefully pulled himself up at the window, to look out into space.
'Somewhere, out in that darkness, Vegeta's waiting for me. An' who knows what else? I have to be ready for anything. An' I don't have much time.' Goku thought. "Right." He said, before turning around, and stomping off with heavy footsteps. "One! Two! Three! Four! Five!" He counted off.
~Planet Namek~
"So do you finally understand?" Frieza questioned, looking up at the Namekian Elder flying up in the sky.
A short while ago, three of the men of the village returned to see what was going on and if everyone was safe. But they were horrified when they found two of their brothers dead, and held their own fighting against Frieza's men. While they were busy fighting, and were distracted, Dodoria had been called out to fight, but the Elder managed to destroy the remaining scouters, leaving Frieza and his men to be sitting ducks. This caused the pink spike ball to become angry, before he took out the three Namekians giving them trouble.
"As I've tried to explain to you from the start, it is impossible for you to defeat us. Now give me the Dragon Ball, and tell me what you did with the five star Dragon Ball." Frieza shouted, as the elder was in complete shock and horror, before Moori, the elder Namek, floated down to the ground. "You can trust me when I say, you've made the right decision. An' since you owe us something in return for destroying our scouters, I think this is more than an equitable trade, don't you agree?"
"You wretch… you leave me no choice." Moori exclaimed. "Just promise me you'll leave us in peace." Moori didn't get a verbal response, which left him to go and get the Dragon Ball with an uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach.
"Oh, an' don't worry. I'll keep an eye on the children until you get back." Frieza exclaimed.
"Rrgh… You got what you wanted. Enough already." Krillin stated as Gohan's anger kept rising.
"I hate him." Gohan growled.
"Calm down Gohan, I told you, we're just gonna have to wait." Krillin exclaimed. "I don't like it either. But we aren't gonna do any good, by getting ourselves killed."
Soon Moori came back, with the six star Dragon Ball in hand, while still giving Frieza a glaring look of anger.
"Here, now you have what you came for. Take it and leave." Moori growled.
"I'll do that, just as soon as you tell me what you did with the five star ball." Frieza said, as one of his remaining living Henchmen came and grabbed the six star. "An' while I'm deciding whether or not to kill you, tell me where to find the last two Dragon Balls."
"How dare you. We had an agreement. Take your Dragon Ball and leave us as promised. I have no idea what happened to the five star Dragon Ball. You'll get nothing more from me." Moori exclaimed. "Go. For the last time, go and leave us in peace."
"Oh, shut up. I promised nothing. An' considering the circumstances, I'd hardly say you're in a position to be issuing threats." Frieza exclaimed. "An' if you have no idea what happened to the five star ball, then that's too bad. Now tell me what I want to know, about the other two Dragon Balls. Or I'll beat it out of you."
"How dare you. Do your worst." Moori retaliated before Dodoria elbowed him in the face, and sent him tumbling backwards into the house, causing cracks to form in the structure.
"Oh no elder." One of the children said.
"You monster."
"What have you done?"
Moori picked himself up, glaring at Frieza and his goons.
"You can torture me all you'd like. It won't do you any good, I don't know where they are." Moori exclaimed.
"One: you're lying, and two: you've already hindered my search by destroying the scouters. Normally, I'd say that's more than enough reason to kill you. But I'm feeling generous. I'll give you one last chance to save yourself." Frieza exclaimed.
"An' why should I trust you? Why should I believe the word of a murderer?" Moori asked, as he got up onto his feet.
"Oh well, I guess you caught me." Frieza said with a laugh. "I was planning to kill you even if you talked."
"You…"
"Lord Frieza if I may. Even without the scouters, it shouldn't be too difficult to find the next village." Zarbon stated.
"Yes, Zarbon. You must have read my mind." Frieza smirked.
"Children listen to me. Run and get help." Moori stated.
"Uh-huh." One of the children said, nodding their head, before the two began to run for help.
"Alright then. If it's a fight you want, then so be it." Moori exclaimed, looking back to the attackers. "RAAAAHHHHH."
"DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA." Dodoria shouted, sending an energy attack from his mouth past Moori, and towards the children.
"NO." A voice echoed through the air, as a blur zipped past them, and within milliseconds took the impact of the attack, saving the Namekian child's life.
"What the?" Krillin questioned, looking to see if Gohan had been the one to do it, but found the boy was still by his side. "If you didn't go then who…"
"Krillin look." Gohan said, as the dust began to clear.
The dust settled, revealing a pissed off Kaen, covered in the dirt that had been kicked up from the shockwaves of the attack's impact, and his right arm missing as he glared at Dodoria, Frieza, and Zarbon.
"You tried to kill these children." Kaen growled, his eyes shrunken in anger as his arm regenerated back, surprising the Namekian Elder, as well as both Zarbon and Dodoria, while Frieza just looked intrigued. "Now I'm pissed." He growled as he took on his Nomu state.
