"Welcome back to another episode! Today it will be a chilled out chapter after the events of Revelations and Angela is about to hang out with Jill and Parker. Please enjoy!"
Chapter 26: A Night Out
It was 8:30 PM and in the safety of her own home was Angela Miller putting make up on her face as she was getting ready to go out for the night with Jill, Parker, Quint and Kieth. Angela wouldn't normally go on nights out as she was always dedicated to her work but after the ordeal she went through on the ship in the middle of the damn ocean she desperately needed something to clear her mind.
She decided to wear brown boots with tight wearing jeans along with white sleeve shirt, she wasnt the kind of girl to wear short skirts or wear anything too sexy. She was a typical daddy's girl and never tried to grab attention. Looking herself in the mirror she ran some eye liner on for the finishing touch and she looked absolutely stunning and yet not the typical girl next door look.
It didnt take long for her to get ready and after a few moments she looked herself up and down in the mirror slightly turning making sure her clothes were perfect and she was happy with the result despite her bust would draw attention, but lucky enough she planned to wear a leather jacket anyway.
For the next twenty minutes Angela was now downstairs in her living room eating pasta just to fill her stomach and she just watched the news reports of Morgan Lansdale, it told that he was resigned from the FBC for personal reasons but Angela knew the real reason and deep down she was annoyed the truth was hidden from the public. But then again if the truth was told it could cause more damage than good.
All of a sudden the door bell rang and it made Angela jump as she was just focused on the tv but she collected herself as she placed her empty bowl on the coffee table and got up heading for the door, she ran her hand through her hair trying to look tidy and soon she came to the doot and took a deep breath.
Angela then opened the door and right there was Jill and Parker and she was happy to see them.
"Angie" Jill said happily and she came in hugging Angela and she returned it chuckling. "Thought you would forget".
The two pulled back and Angela moved out the way offering them inside. "After what we've been through I need this night out".
Jill and Parker came into her house and thats when Angela and Parker embraced as well before letting go of each other and they both looked to Jill who looked at Angela's house.
Angela saw Jill was wearing black jeans with black high heel boots and she wore blue long sleeve shirt along with a dark navy blue leather jacket, Angela couldnt help but find it humorous that she and Jill had the same sense of style.
"You got a lovely house Angie, you had it long?" Jill asked looking at the beautiful house.
Angela closed the door as both Jill and Angela were in the house and she chuckled. "It belonged to my dad, he gave it to me in his will before he died".
Jill looked back a little guilty. "Oh..sorry Angie". But Angela waved her hand. "Its ok, it was a long time ago".
Parker could feel the silence coming so he quickly broke it and presented a large black gift box with a white ribbon around it and Angela looked down at it. "Me and Jill got you this for your first mission, after all the things you went through you needed something nice".
Its was at that moment Angela saw what Parker was wearing, she noticed Parker was wearing denim jacket and jeans with brown kick boots and a white t shirt to boot. He loved wearing old style clothes and Angela really thought they suit him.
Angela gently took the box and couldnt help but smile. "Wow, thank you" She embraced Parker pecking his cheek and she then went to Jill doing the same and the two girls hugged a few more seconds longer before letting go.
"Your welcome, hope you like it" Jill stated and Angela quickly undid the ribbon and lifted the lid of the large black box and inside was a rare bottle of Angel Champagne with a set of glasses and Angela was just shocked.
"Guys...are you kidding" Angela looked at them both with wide eyes and they just smiled. "How did you get this? This is rare".
Parker chuckled as he came closer to the them. "We know a guy who can get hold of rarest champagne, sure was hard for him to get though".
Angela just looked at the two and they just smiled at her. "I dont know what to say guys..all I can say is thank you".
Jill just chuckled. "Its all you have to say Angie, keep it till the end of the year and we can pop it open".
Angela blinked a little surprised. "Oh, I was going to open it now before we head out".
It was then Parker placed his hand on her shoulder getting her attention. "Longer you leave it the sweeter it will be, you wont regret it".
Angela then chuckled. "Ok, well I'll put this away and well head straight out".
-One Hour Later-
It was 9:20PM and Angela, Jill and Parker were finally in a night club standing around a table just drinking and laughing after the nightmare of the mission they went through, they shared secrets about each other and also spoke about what got them into into the jobs they originally had.
Angela was surprised to know Jill was once a member of S.T.A.R.S from Raccoon city and it just amazed her to see how far Jill has come since that night, obviously Parker was originally from the FBC before being transferred to the BSAA and he revealed he had no regrets about leaving that life behind and the BSAA was a place he belonged.
"Oh Jesus Christ" Parker sighed and the girls looked to him and thats when he pointed to the dance floor nearby and both Angela and Jill spotted Kieth and Quint dancing among a group of other people. Quint was pulling Micheal Jackson moves while Kieth was doing the robot trying to impress a few ladies.
Angela leaned her elbow on the table and placed her hand under her chin supporting her and she just continued to look at the two while Jill lowered her head rubbing her forehead a little embarrassed.
"Did you ever tell them they cant dance?" Angela questioned.
"Yes" Jill and Parker said in unison.
Angela turned her head to her partners. "Do they ever listen?".
"No" The two said in unison once more and Angela shook her head and stood up straight taking another gulp of her Budweiser.
"So Angela, have you tried to contact Leon yet?" Parker asked and Angela chocked on her beer and Jill just chuckled getting curious too.
Placing her bottle on the table Angela collected herself. "Well I have tried to get hold of him but the guy is a ghost, that number you gave me put me through to someone called Hunnigan. Said he was away on an important mission".
"I heard he never stays in one place, makes me wonder if he is really a loner" Parker said gulping down his strongbow and Jill just chuckled as she took a sip of her wine. "Dont be silly Parker, a guy like that cant be a loner. I mean I've never seen him but from what Chris tells me he is quite the looker".
Angela frowned deciding to get even with Jill. "By the way have you spoke to Chris yet?".
Jill just chuckled. "Dont worry I plan to tell him when we get back to work, sadly he couldnt make this night out but mark my words I will tell him in work".
"Hey, keep it professional in the workplace dont want to walk in on you two making babies" Parker joked and Jill spat her wine out in shock and Angela just laughed her ass off at Jill's reaction as she looked up at Parker with wide eyes.
"We arnt even together yet and your talking about us making babies, Parker you need to slow down" Jill couldnt help but chuckle as she rubbed her mouth with a napkin and Angela lifted her bottle to her mouth. "I'm sure he's just trying to help out".
Jill decided to avoid the situation and just looked at Angela. "So Angie whats your life goal, anything you wish to have?".
Angela smirked at Jill knowing full well she was trying to avoid the Chris subject but she decided to play along as Jill was getting red around her cheeks.
Taking one more swig of her beer she gave her answer. "I hope to one day move to West Virginia, own a farm and just get away from the big cities and just live off the land. Have a few horses and just enjoy the quiet".
"Let me guess, childhood dream?" Parker guessed and Angela chuckled. "Yeah, my father planned to have us move to West Virginia when me and my brother were kids..but sadly that changed when my mother passed".
Angela slowly looked down to her bottle. "That dream fell apart, but one day I want to fulfill that dream for my brother and my parents".
Jill just gave a small smile. "Thats sweet Angie, you should be able to do that in a few years with your new job with us".
Angela looked up to Jill and smiled back. "I'll drink to that" She raised her glass and both Parker and Jill raised theirs and the three hit their bottles together and downed their beers.
Finally emptying her bottle Angela looked to Parker. "What about you Parker? Any life goals?".
Parker just chuckled as he put his bottle down. "Honestly? nope. Never really thought about it, maybe one day I will find it".
Jill raised her eyebrow at him. "What about the dream of owning a boat? You mentioned that a couple of times".
"Ah that will never happen, with all the work we do I would never get a chance to properly use it, that will always be just a dream" Parker stated and Angela just looked at him. "I dont know Parker, I think you should go for it. If you want it go get it".
Her partner chuckled in response as he took one last sip of his beer. "We'll see but dont hold your breath".
Now all that was left was Jill, Angela and Parker looked to her and smiled. "So Jill, what about you?" Angela asked and both her and Parker looked to Jill as she scratched the back of her head smiling at the one thing she wanted.
"I actually want to own a beach property, I love the quiet and would love nothing more then to have a place near the ocean." Jill revealed and Parker smirked. "With room for two or more people?".
Angela chuckled and so did Parker and Jill just rolled her eyes knowing what he was implying and she just drank her wine trying to stop her cheeks from turning more red, the trio just continued to laugh until the night club started to come alive around midnight.
The night raged on and the group of friends just drank and danced the night away, Angela for the first time had a great night and soon got along with Kieth and Quint after their first introduction at BSAA HQ.
Angela danced and laughed as she became tipsy but she didnt care as for once she was just being herself instead of living nightmares of her brother's death. All of a sudden Angela stumbled back and hit the back of someone and as she turned she saw a bearded man turn to her and he suddenly smirked.
"Hey baby, whats a pretty thing like you doing here alone?" The man flirted and Angela frowned at him. "Thats none of your concern pal".
She went to turn away but he then grabbed her arm making her look at him. "Hey! Watch your mouth unless you want trouble" He then chuckled as he looked at her bust. "Maybe you like trouble anyway".
"You got five seconds to let me go" Angela warned and the guys just chuckled looking into her eyes. "Really? Well what are you gonna do about it sweetcheeks?".
Angela just sighed. "Fuck this.." All of a sudden she delivered a massive haymaker to the side of the guy's jaw and sent his head upwards and the party goers gasped and all went silent as the big bearded guy suddenly crashed to the ground and was out cold, Angela just looked down at him while rubbing her arm which he held on to tight.
"I warned you" Angela stated and that was when Jill came rushing from the bar and pushed Angela back to stop her from getting out of hand while Quint and Kieth who were near some ladies just looked wide eyes.
"Dude!" Quint looked to Kieth as he pointed to Angela. "She just Mike Tysoned his ass".
"Man now that is a woman" Kieth stated and thats when the ladies around them looked to Angela and quickly didnt like her, so in a strop they left Quint and Kieth and went on their way.
"Hey where you going!?" Quint shouted after them and some of them gave the two the middle finger for being fascinated with Angela instead of them, it was at that moment Quint looked to Kieth not happy.
"What? What did I do?" Kieth said confused forgetting about what he said.
Back near the bar Jill brought Angela to the counter and sat her down and she just looked at her wide eyed. "Angie, good fucking punch". Angela just chuckled then winced as she looked at her fist seeing she had cut her knuckle open and she assumed she must have caught his teeth but that was then a bouncer came up to the girls, he was not happy.
"Just what the hell was that?" The bouncer asked Angela and Jill stood up to him. "It was self defen-" She was cut off when Angela placed her hand on her friend's arm.
"I got this Jill, sit down" Angela asked and Jill sighed as she sat back in her seat while Angela turned to the bouncer ignoring the pain in her hand. "I accidentally bumped into that guy and he tried to flirt with me, I went to turn away and he grabbed my arm. It was self defense".
The bouncer looked over to the dance floor seeing the big guy get carried out and he just sighed as he turned back to Angela. "Be that as it may, do not cause problems like that again otherwise you will be thrown out along with him. Do I make myself clear".
Angela hated that he completely ignored self defense but she decided not to take it further. "Yeah alright, just keep him away from me".
With that the bouncer just turned and left leaving the girl's alone and Jill just shook her head in disgust. "What a fucking asshole".
"Forget it, he's not worth it" Angela stated turned to the bar with Jill and thats when Jill called for some paper towels then looked to Angela. "Hows the hand?".
Angela looked down at her hand and saw blood dripping down her fingers. "I'll live, at least it cant be worse then what I had on the ship".
"He could have STD's you know" Jill joked and Angela looked to her shocked. "Dont say that Jill for fuck sake".
Soon Parker came back from the bathroom and saw the girls at the bar but soon saw Angela's hand in blood, concern followed and he rushed over to their side and leaned on the bar.
"Everything alright?" Parker asked as he looked down at Angela's blooded hand on the bar and soon the staff member behind the bar brought some paper towels while a few of the other people around them backed away not liking the scene before them.
"She's fine, some punk tried flirting with her" Jill stated as Angela took a handful of paper towels and cleaned the blood off her hand.
"He wasnt even good at it" Angela winced as a stinging sensation hit her cut when she touched it and Parker could only chuckle. "Is this punk still in the world?".
"Sadly" Angela and Jill said in unison and they suddenly looked at each other only to chuckle as Angela treated her injury but it was at that moment Quint and Kieth came to Jill's side leaning against the bar looking at Angela.
"That was amazing Angela" Kieth stated happily.
"You knocked him the fuck out!" Quint then laughed and Angela herself couldnt help but smile at the two acting like kids but soon she finally cleaned her hand and bandaged her knuckles. "Forget it guys, its done now".
Parker chuckled then called for another round of beers and they all sat down at the bar as Angela finally sorted herself out and that was when Parker placed his hand on her shoulder getting her attention. "You sure your ok partner". He asked and Angela smiled placing her hand on his resting on her shoulder.
"I'm fine Parker, thanks for asking" She squeezed his hand and he nodded in response letting go of her shoulder and she then looked to Jill. "How bout it? Last one standing?".
Jill smirked. "I'm really starting to like you Angie".
Soon the bar tender pulled up bottles of beers and the friends just continued on through the night just drinking and dancing, they would continue on until the early hours of the morning not caring about the massive hang overs they would have because it was all about having fun and they were just gonna unleash hell on this night.
"This was a nice change of pace lol next chapter will quick off with the morning after the night out and it will be another peaceful chapter with Angela and the gang, consider it PART 2 of this chapter. Hope you enjoyed this chapter and are ready for more!"
