Nashi came out running not understanding at all what was going on. She just knew that her father and Happy were crying. What confused her even more was seeing her aunt and uncle emotional for she had never seen that. Tears of confusion came down her face as Natsu pulled himself to her. Tears still fell as they cried together. "Where's mommy..daddy,sniff, where is she?" she looked at him begging for an answer but Natsu couldn't give her one making him only hug her tighter to him and cry more. Everyone couldn't understand either but they knew Lucy was gone. That was enough to make them all emotional and wonder where she was. Natsu couldn't bring himself to even budge even after no more tears came out after hours of crying and his throat hurt. His legs felt like cement and too heavy to move. Happy was in the same state. Both of them looked broken and unable to move. While it had been hours ago and everyone had gone, Erza and Gray were still right there. "come on, let's try and get them up"encouraged Gray as he helped an emotional Erza get to her feet. She scooped a worn out but awake Nashi who wrapped her arms around Erza's neck while Gray lifted Natsu up under his arm and started walking.
Natsu' s feet were dragging which didn't help but Gray kept moving with Happy silently walking beside them. "sss.. 't want us..sad" he finally said sounding completely hoarse. "What?" said Gray. "That's why she did what ..she did yesterday" he answered. " I knew something was off, damn it, I should have followed my instincts" Erza admitted angry with herself. " I .dd..did ..damn it" Natsu choked out putting a hand to his throat since it was still burning. "let's get you home"said Gray. "hmph, I don't even care"was the last thing Natsu said before he went silent for the rest of the walk. Erza laid a now asleep Nashi into her bed and tucked her in. Gray managed to slide Natsu onto his bed but he just sat there. Gray waved a hand in front of his face but gave no acknowledgement that he saw it. Even Happy tried to get his attention but nothing worked. Gray squatted down to look at Natsu's face. His eyes had a glazed look on them which was scaring Gray to death. He had never seen Natsu's face look so empty.
As a last resort, he tried smacking him on the arm but Natsu gave no indication that he even felt it. "Gray" Erza insisted tugging on his arm. He had a grave look on his face looking at Natsu. She was worried about him too but as the only one who seemed capable of rational thought at the moment, she thought it best to let Natsu be. "come on" she tugged at his arm harder to emphasize her point. He didn't try to argue as he slowly walked his feet out of the room Happy took Natsu's hand and put it on him as he cradled himself into his other one and started crying again. The next morning Happy woke to see Natsu in the same spot as he was during the night. The only difference was his eyes were closed now meaning he did fall asleep but didn't care enough to move himself from his sitting position. "Natsu" Happy whispered nudging at Natsu's arm. His eyes slowly opened but they had a pained look on them. He hopped out of Natsu's lap onto the floor. "come on..we have to get Nashi" Happy said with a long face but he hoped it would get a response out of Natsu. Without so much as a glance or word towards Happy, Natsu got up and walked to his daughters door.
She was awake but laying in her bed when she heard Natsu. She jumped up and immediately asked "Is mommy home?" "I don't know where mommy is" he answered cold then walked away. He went and sat on a chair in the dining room while Happy went to Nashi. " , daddy is, he's not being him" she said in a sad squeaky voice. He put a paw to the top of her head and started rubbing it. "I know Nashi , don't worry he'll be okay"he told her kindly knowing she wouldn't understand the complexity of the situation. "Is he going to find mommy?"she asked. Surprised but he wondered if the question would come up, he sat there for a moment not answering and then "I really don't know Iggy, I wish I did." While she made a sound of disappointment. Happy just stared at Natsu. All Happy could see was his shadow and back but just from sitting there, he looked completely broken. "Lucy was everything to him, without her... I don't know what he will do" Happy thought to himself.
Lucy had finally gotten to the location where she was supposed to be at. She felt miserable and alone after sleeping in the woods with no previsions or anything to feed or help her. " god, I miss you so much Natsu, I wish you were here" she said to herself as she knocked on the door.
The door opened and she went in. "ahh , you did come" said the leader. "What the hell do you want?" she said indignant. "Now,now that's no way to talk to your master" He said amused. She spat at his face angry when he took her by the throat and lifted her a couple inches off the ground. Having no food or water left her feeling weak but she wasn't going to just let him have her without a fight. She used all the strength in her arms and hands that she had left to try to get him to let go but it did no good. Seeing that did no good, she lifted her leg and kicked him square in the knee making him let go. She dropped to the floor holding her throat coughing. "Guards!" he shouted and then a whole bunch of men came through the door grabbing her arms and yanking her up. The leader then got up and smacked Lucy hard across the face leaving a mark. "What's so funny"he asked hearing Lucy start laughing a little. "I'm laughing because while yes I'm stuck here,my guild won't stop until they find me..and that includes my husband Natsu, so you can keep me here as long as you want you bastard, they will find me" She looked at him with a confident smile. "ahem , well that will make this all the sweeter." the man said. He reached down and pulled Lucy's celestial key pocket off her. "What are you doing with those,give those back!" she demanded. "you won't need them my dear for you're about to get an upgrade."
"What,what are you talking about?" she asked nervously. He then walked over to a counter and picked up a small orb. "do you see this?hmm"he showed her the orb leaving Lucy curious. He then got a cheery look on his face when he said "this is called the orb of subjugation." Yeah, what about it?" she felt herself starting to panic. "haha, well this will put whoever I want under my control and well , your it." "Wait ,I'm already here!, you don't need to do that" she was terrified and tried to break loose from the guys holding her. "Well no, that isn't true, we can't go after the dragon if you still have free will." "WHAT, YOU SAID HE WOULD BE LEFT ALONE"she hollered. "What can I say, I lied"he said nonchalantly. "YOU BASTARD!" she screamed as the leader told his guard to hold her jaw open.
She tried everything from biting the guys's hand to using her tongue to trying to free her mouth from the guy's hand but he wouldn't budge. The man came up to her and dropped the orb down her mouth and then pushed her mouth shut slapping a hand over it so she wouldn't spit it out. He let go after a moment and had the guards release where she fell to the floor. "How..how long before this crap happens?"she said weakly. "oh just a day or so but the process unfortunately for you won't be painless" he said maliciously. "What's going to happen?"she asked frightened. He then got an extremely wicked smile on his face as he her looked at her and said " your memories of your loved ones will slowly dissolve , your husband, your child, your guild members, all will twist your brain into despair and then you will be mind" "Noo,NOOOO, DON'T TAKE THOSE AWAY!"she screamed as he said "clamp her" then a metal clam appeared on Lucy's mouth silencing her screaming. "It's a painful process and I don't want to hear your cries, this will also keep you from spitting it up, take her away. As she was dragged, her eyes burned with rage as he waved goodbye at her. "see you in a few days" . Her wonderful memories of Natsu, their wedding day, the Nashi was born, the day she joined Fairy Tail. Her head felt it was splitting apart and though no one could hear, she was screaming inside. The memories would show up and then slowly disappear. She grabbed at her head in pain wanting it all to stop. "NATSU, NASHI, HAPPY,ERZA, GRAY,!, GOD DAMN IT, STOPP"she roared in her head. She knew she only had a few hours left before all her memories were gone but she didn't care, she would have rather have died than loose her memories.
