As Azure slowly opened his eyes, he started to realize that the fact that he could see the sky, as well as snow, and not his ceiling and/or the sun, was a problem, as he immediately got up and looked around with concern, before realizing he had his regular attire on, including his jacket, before noticing something else.
What the..? Where am I...wait, am I a spirit? Did I die? This isn't exactly how I pictured purgatory...Wait, it snows in Purgatory? This still looks awfully like- Azure started thinking, before looking up at the sky to see a crystalline dragon unit flying overhead. Wait, doesn't that kind of look like a Vanguard unit..? What's it doing out here? Waaait a minute...
Azure started to piece together, before taking a closer look around his surroundings, before it seemed to hit him.
...Am I on CRAY? How the heck am I even..?! Azure started to mentally have several questions, before hearing the sounds of bushes rustling, Azure deciding to look over to see what was going on. "Wait, is that a person..? Oh, thank god, and here I was worrying I was alone in this probably nightmare..." Azure started, before noticing that the 'person' was solely a gray entity, with no recognizable features, Azure's eyes slightly widening. "What the..?" He asked, backing up, as the entity ran towards him, only to hop back from a sudden blast of ice. "What the..?" Azure asked, surprised, before looking over to see what had even shot at the entity.
"I cannot allow you to spread your destruction here of all places." A unit declared to the entity.
"Abyszard Prince..?" Azure asked, before noticing the entity point at him, as 5 cards suddenly manifested in front of the entity. "Vanguard..? Don't tell me..." Azure started, before the unit addressed him.
"Yes, my vanguard. These strange beings have been utilizing fights against other humans that appear here..." Prince said. "However, You are not alone. Simply wish for your deck, and it will appear in front of you." Prince advised, as Azure looked at his hand, the glow in his eyes manifesting, before 5 cards suddenly appeared in front of him.
"Whoa..!" Azure said, slightly surprised. "So this is a Vanguard fight on Cray..." He said, before shaking his head. "This is no time to be impressed...Stand up, my, Vanguard!" He said, before a beacon of light shined down, and Arctic Magi appeared. "The real Arctic Magi..." Azure realized, before looking over at a beacon of light summoning out another unit, a small knight in pure black armor. "Huh..? I've never seen that unit before..." He commented.
"From what the rest of the Abyszards have gathered, that unit is called 'Moon Knight, Kuro'. That clan as a whole, however...We haven't been able to retrieve much data. Be careful, my Vanguard." Prince advised, as the entity's hand size increased by one, before one of the cards shattered, and the black knight leapt backwards, as a new unit took their place, as a black armored knight wielding a pair of blades manifested. "That one was called Moon Servant, Rogue." The prince explained, as the entity pointed at Azure, signifying that it was his turn.

"How do I..?" Azure started, before getting cut off.
"Wish for it." Prince reminded.
"Right, uh..." Azure said, as a card manifested in his hand. "In that case...Ride! Abyszard Magi!" He declared, as the card shattered in his hand, as the new Magi took their place, as Arctic Magi hopped backwards, a new card manifesting in Azure's hand. "Arctic Magi moves back, and gives me a Quick Shield..! Arctic Magi, help Abyszard Magi attack the Vanguard..!" Azure declared, as the two magic users blasted at the rogue.

At that, the Entity simply seemed to brace themselves, as a card appeared on the ground, before flipping face-up, signifying a drive check.

"Critical Trigger..! I give the effects to Abyszard Magi..!" Azure declared, as the card flew into his hand, before two cards appeared in front of the entity, before flying above it, representing the damage zone.

At that, a new card appeared in the entity's hand. "...I end my turn..." Azure said.

As the entity 'drew', another card in their hand shattered, as a more refined version of the Moon Knight appeared, pointing a sword at Azure, before one of the damage zone cards flipped over, and a card disappeared from the entity's hand, before a black mist suddenly engulfed Azure, who shouted in a bit of pain, before noticing the top 3 cards of his 'deck' manifesting, before blowing up. "He sent the top 3 cards of my deck to the drop zone..?!" Azure asked, surprised.
"My vanguard, look out..!" Prince said, as the knight was already charging forward, Azure's eyes slightly widening, as the Magi was hit, the drive check showing no trigger, before Azure started shouting in pain. "...My vanguard, you can feel the pain of your units...You cannot fight carelessly here." Prince said.
"Wouldn't it have helped to tell me that sooner..?!" Azure asked, before shaking his head. "Still, I'm fine...It was just a scratch. Damage Check..!" He said, as the top card appeared, and floated above him.

"My vanguard, are you alright?" Prince asked, Azure slowly nodding.
"It's no big deal...I've still only got one damage." Azure said, trying to reassure the unit.

Still, whatever that thing is...I don't recognize it's fighting style, but I can already take a guess that this won't be the only time it destroys cards from my deck...I'd better go on the offensive.
Azure decided, as a card appeared in his hand, before Azure tossed it, as it shattered. "Let's go! Ride! Abyszard Prince! In addition, Call!" He said, tossing two more cards. "Abyszard Legacy, Lou! Arctic Pengu!" He said, as the two units appeared in the other 'column'.
"Is that him, father?" Lou asked Prince, who nodded.
"Yes. Right now, he needs our help more than anything." Prince told the girl, who nodded.
"In that case...Lou, attack the Vanguard on your own!" Azure declared, Lou nodding.
"Of course, my Vanguard." Lou said, before blasting at the knight, as the Entity seemed to brace themselves, again, signifying no guard.

"Prince, with a boost from Arctic Magi, attack the Vanguard..!" Azure called, as Prince and the Magi blasted together, only for a pure black armored knight with shields instead of swords getting in the way.

"A guard like that..." The Prince said, looking over at Azure. "Drive check, my Vanguard, there's still a chance." He said, Azure nodding, before holding his hand out, a card appearing.

"Stand trigger..! Why am I even explaining this..?" Azure asked, before Lou stood up, engulfed in blue energy, as Prince took on the shine as well, before blasting through the guard.

"One more, Lou, with Pengu's help this time..!" Azure declared, as Lou blasted, and seemed to hit their mark.

At that, the Entity 'drew', before tossing a card, before the Knight became even more refined, dual-wielding swords of darkness, as two cards turned face down in their damage zone, and a card vanished from their hand, before a black mist engulfed Azure. "Again..?!" Azure asked, before seeing the top 3 cards of his 'deck' appear, before being destroyed, before the last two cards turned facedown, and another card was destroyed. "It's not once per turn..?!" Azure asked, before the black mist destroyed 3 more cards from his deck, before noticing the Grade 0 Kuro move to the soul, as two more cards from Azure's 'deck' were destroyed. "He destroyed 8 cards from my deck...What is this clan..?!" Azure asked, before noticing the knight rushing forward on it's own, slightly surprising Azure. "No guard..!" He said.

I have a lot of cards in the drop zone...but...aside from that, this entity clearly isn't much of a fighter. They must be trying to assess some sort of danger. In that case...I'll have to give them something to be afraid of...I never thought I'd have to utter that kind of sentence, even in my mind, because it goes against what I believe in...but I don't like the implications of this kind of entity, if even the Abyszards are worried about them. I can't risk letting it win here, or worse, doing something to the units of Cray..!
Azure thought, before raising up a card, as it shattered in his hand, a beacon of light appearing, as a familiar unit arrived from it. "Come forth, my friend! Abyszard, Frostbite Wolf!" He called, as the Wolf appeared, howling, as Prince manifested at Azure's side again, due to no longer being on the field.
"My vanguard...Wolf seems to have bonded with you the most. Even his form changes when coming to your aid..." Prince observed, as Azure held out another copy of Wolf, as it shattered.
"In that case...I'll release the Generation Zone! Come, Progenitor Dragon!" Azure declared, as a spot on the ground turned to pure sea, as the dragon emerged, roaring loud enough to shake the earth, and ripple the waves, Azure looking slightly surprised, before composing himself. "Right...Progenitor Dragon of Deep Sea, Balanerena..! Stride Skill!" Azure added, counterblasting. "From the top 10 cards of my deck, come, Abyszard Sage, Frozen Magi! Add 5000 Power! Then, Arctic Magi's skill..!" Azure added, another counterblast being used, as Arctic Magi vanished. "From my deck, come! Abyszard Legacy, Martin!" Azure declared, as the boy appeared in front of Frozen Magi. "Frozen Magi's skill, from my deck, I take a card with the Frostbite ability that's a lower grade than my Vanguard, and put it on rear guard..!" Azure added. "Come, Arctic Pengu! His Frostbite! When he's called from the deck, I soul blast 1 to give a unit in my front row 5000 power. I give the power to Balanerena! Then, boost it to attack your Vanguard!" Azure declared.
At that, the Entity tried to guard with a Tank, before it exploded, as a card in Azure's hand burst, earning a confused reaction from it. "My vanguard..?" Prince asked.
"Balanerena's skill. By discarding a grade 1 or less card from my hand, I can retire a guardian when you call it." Azure explained, as the dragon blasted through the knight, and the Entity was knocked to the ground, as their 6th damage wasn't a heal trigger. At that 6th damage however, the entity...exploded. "Whoa..!" He said, before noticing his body becoming more transparent.
"You're waking up, my vanguard...We will wait for your return. We won't forget what we saw, either." Prince said.
"Wait, but I have so many questions..! Why am I on Cray, what were those entities, what did you mean by Wolf's form-?" Azure started.
However, before he could even finish his line of questions, he opened his eyes to see his room, and sat up.
"...Therapy. Definitely need therapy. I'm more scared of that being real than that being a dream." Azure commented, sweating, before looking over at his deck on his desk.
