Danny placed the young girl down on the couch in the Mountain. She looked alright, perhaps just exhausted.
"Who is she exactly?" Aqualad asked, Danny knew the Atlantean cared for the well being of the team, "Danielle, she's my cousin. I already said this." Danny frowned, "Well, she is really my clone but we call each other siblings." He let out a deep sigh.
Danny never saw much of Danielle and seeing her now made him realize that. The girl looked the same, a bit older if anything. Her hair was longer and had small wisps to them. She slept soundly on the couch, unaware of the conversation at hand.
"Your clone!" Kid Flash yelled out and whipped his head to Superboy, "Uh, I mean that's cool." He gave a nervous chuckle when the Kryptonian glared.
"So does she have the same powers as you?" Robin asked the ghostly teen, it made him roll his eyes. Robin was always too discrete at times for no reason. He'd think that the boy wonder would learn to be a bit more loose after hanging with the red-headed speedster.
"If you're asking if she is half ghost like me, then yes." Robin gave a sheepish laugh and rubbed the back of his neck. Great, was his habit rubbing off on him.
"She's from your time?" Artemis questioned, although it came off as more of a statement.
"Yeah, I don't know how she came here, but my guess is that Clockwork had something to do with it. The last I knew she was staying with Frostbite in the Far-frozen." He ignored their looks of confusion at the mention of the yeti ghosts.
"Hey! Does this mean we have another female teammate?" M'gann looked excited causing Artemis to scoff, "What does it matter if she's a girl?"
"I heard on Earth that females get together for girl's night and such, I always wanted to participate in it." M'gann had a dreamy look in her eyes.
"Count me out." Artemis told her, which upset the Martian.
"Don't worry, Miss M! Wallman will be there whenever you want to hang." Wally clicked his tongue causing Artemis to hit him over the head.
"Shut up, Baywatch!?"
Danny blinked a couple times, "Why do you call him Baywatch?" He just realized how much the archer called him that.
Wally blushed in embarrassment and Artemis and Robin laughed.
"When I was introduced into the team he was dressed to go to a beach." Artemis was amused at the embarrassed teen.
"Shut up!" He turned his back away from her. Wally tended to sulk a lot as well.
"We should focus on our main problem." Kaldur's sound voice made all of them lose their smiles. He was right, Danny's world was tearing apart and here they were joking.
"What do we do first, Leader." Wally gave a quick salute to break the tension in the room. It sorta worked.
"Let's wake her up for answers." He said, Danny stepped in front of Danielle's sleeping form.
"There is no way I am letting you guys interrogate her." He crossed his arms. The team looked confused, "Interrogate? Why would we do that?" Robin cocked his head to the side.
"Shouldn't we let her rest?" Conner piped up. The team turned to the clone and Danny forgot he was even there. The halfa smiled, "Thank you, see someone has decency!" Conner was a nice person and Danny felt bad for forgetting he was there.
"Fine! I am curious to see if Mini-Casp is like Casper." Wally pouted.
"Dani is like me, but not. She cares about her loved ones like me, but she is a lot more hot-headed and loves food as much as Wally." He smirked when the team besides Wally paled.
"Our pantry!" Robin cried out.
"What about it?" M'gann didn't know why Robin was so distraught.
"We'll never have snacks." He sighed.
"Hey! Aren't you like-" Robin kicked Wally in his stomach to make him stop talking. If anything that made the poor Martian even more confused.
"Why did you kick, Wally?"
"No reason." Robin gave her a wide smile while the Speedster was clutching his stomach while he kneeled, "Shit, Rob! Your kicks hurt." He complained.
"You deserved it." Robin huffed, Artemis smirked, and the rest watched blankly.
"Back to the problem." Kaldur was trying hard to keep them on task. Seriously, Aqualad deserves a medal for this.
"Okay, Dani is not going to kill us, We'll wait for her to wake up, and Flash is taking care of the remains." Danny said.
At that moment the young girl gave signs of waking.
Dani was confused, she heard voices but did not recognize most of them. She tensed when she thought they could be from the Guys in White, but relaxed when she heard a familiar voice.
Danny!
With that the clone jumped up from her position and dove towards the other halfa. She gave him a fierce hug. She hasn't seen him in a long time.
"Dani!" Her cousin greeted and hugged back.
"I missed you!" She stepped back and was confused at the other teenagers.
"Who are they?" She asked, Danny told her their names and they all greeted her. The Martian was very loud and seemed too girly for Danielle's taste, hopefully she wasn't like Paulina. Dani had heard many stories about that annoying girl.
"May we ask what happened?" Kaldur asked, instantly Dani's mood shifted.
"Amity Park, The Ghost realm…" Her eyes teared up a bit.
"What about them, Dani?" Danny asked.
"It's weird. Some people and ghosts are just disappearing. Your friends and family think you are one of those who vanished." Dani informed him, causing the boy's chest to feel heavy.
"Are they okay?" He asked and Dani could tell he was afraid of the answer.
"They are alright." Dani smiled, Danny let out a sigh.
"Do you know what ghost it is behind this, and how you got here?" Kaldur questioned.
"I do not, and Clockwork managed to send me here in the thermos like he did with Danny." She smiled at the thought of the time ghost.
"Is Clockwork okay?" Danny saw the girl tense.
"He's losing power and I am afraid he'll vanish as well. If that happens…"
"Time will be destroyed in our world." Danny finished.
"Well, shit." Wally rubbed his head.
