Chapter 20: Evil Buu Attacks!
Team Sonic kept staring at the oddity that was Majin Buu. Suddenly, he bent over and began to yell. He had a shrill scream and it was so loud, that it created destructive sound waves that lashed through the air. Buildings crumbled beneath him, the sea raged, and lightning filled the sky. Tails and Sonic covered their ears in pain. Knuckles, being an echidna, didn't have actual ears. He had holes in the side of his head, underneath his dreads. He was the only one not really affected by all the screaming. He transformed into his Super State. "I think I'm getting a little tired of all this drama. Let's do this, Majin Buu!" Knuckles flew towards Majin Buu, who was still screaming his lungs out. Sonic and Tails were still very much incapacitated by the loud noise. Knuckles' fist impacted Buu's forehead, and made a small dent. Buu immediately stopped his dissonant demolition, and focused on his newest enemy: Knuckles the Echidna. "Now you'll stop all that racket. C'mon, face me like a man!" Majin Buu looked at Knuckles with a death stare. "Hey, what're you lookin' at? My fists are right here!" Knuckles barely had time to finish his sentence before Evil Buu swiped at him. "Whoa, trying to slap me in my face, eh? I'll show you why you don't mess with the Echidna Clan!" Knuckles powered up into his God transformation, and began to wail on Majin Buu. Buu disappeared in a flurry of fists as Knuckles unleashed his inner rage on Buu's face. Floating in the air about a half mile away, Sonic and Tails finally stopped covering their ears.
"Well, whaddya know? Knux is finally using the power up I gave him. And it seems to me that he's really giving Buu a run for his money." Tails nodded in agreement. Knuckles kept up his assault for another two minutes or so, before he began to tire out. "Aright, I think I'm done here. He's surely dead after all that, so we can finally go home." Knuckles turned around and began to fly back towards Sonic and Tails. They were so far away, however, that he could not understand their warning to him. They were waving their arms in the air as crazily as they could to attract his attention. When the smoke cleared behind Knuckles, Majin Buu appeared with the energy ball of a Kamehameha Wave in his hands. "Knuckles, WATCH OUT! HE'S BEHIND YOU!" Tails yelled. Knuckles turned around just as Buu unleashed his attack. The energy wave came out right in Knuckles' face. He disappeared in a bright blue light. "Knuckles, NO!" Tails flew over to where Knuckles was. He was nowhere to be found. Tails looked furious. "You vaporized him! I'll never forgive you for that! YAAA!" Tails went into his Super State and rushed at Buu. Majin Buu was unprepared for a split second, but that was enough for Tails to break his guard. Tails kicked him in the face, and he flew downwards into the sea. The water splashed, and Buu sank down. "Oh no you don't! You can't escape me by going into the water!" Tails dropped down into the water, and sledgehammered him even further down. Tails charged up his Tails Turret. He strained to charge it underwater. "Super Tails Turret! HAAAA!" Tails infused his surplus Chaos Energy into his attack, and the energy balls shined bright purple with electricity. His tails spun around faster and faster. Then, the barrage began. Buu was surrounded by a huge blast of continuous energy. The sea exploded around them. All the while, Super Sonic floated in the air about a half mile away, shocked at the fact that Tails, the EIGHT YEAR OLD, had attained that kind of power. "Wow, I can't believe that my best buddy Tails had all this power in him. We need to start training right after this Buu situation is solved. I wonder when Goku gets here…" Sonic kept watching Tails' desperate attack against Buu.
MEANWHILE… Goku and friends had been traveling in the Capsule Corp spaceship for about half an hour, and in that time Goku had woken up from his nap, the kid Saiyans had stopped playing video games, and were busy being mesmerized by the vast expanse of space, and Vegeta trained in the gravity chamber in Super Saiyan 3, trying to decrease the stress on his body. "Kakarot, I need you to train with me! I think I've mastered Super Saiyan 3, and I need you to test me. Go into your Super Saiyan 3 state, and start at full power." Goku was busy eating a bowl of cereal. He scarfed it down real fast, and stood up. "Are you sure, Vegeta? I mean, I am kinda stronger than you…" Goku instantly regretted his words. Vegeta looked furious. "You dare mock my power level? I'll have you know that at one period in time, I was stronger than you! I beat you on Earth! You couldn't move, and I could, so I consider that a technical win!" Goku sighed. "Ok fine! I'll train with you. Let me just transform, and we'll get right to it!" Goku said. He bent over, and began to yell, like the mighty Saiyan he is. His hair turned bright yellow, then deep blonde, and finally golden, as his Super Saiyan state took hold. Then, the strands of hair that hung over his forehead turned upwards, and a single long strand curled over his eyes. Finally, as Super Saiyan 3 activated, his hair grew longer in the back, his eyebrows disappeared, and one short strand of hair stuck out from the middle of his hairline. "This is my full potential. Well, actually, it's not. I can stack the Kaioken onto this form, but for only two minutes at a time. Any longer, and it'll kill me. The strain's too high!" Goku said. He chuckled light-heartedly. Vegeta transformed into his Super Saiyan 3 state, and once again took on his battle stance. "Now let us begin, Kakarot!" Vegeta yelled and flew full speed towards Goku.
Goku Instant Transmissioned out of the way just in time before Vegeta's fist slammed into his face. "Ugh, that stupid teleportation technique! Where is that fool?" Vegeta asked himself. Vegeta looked around. Goku was nowhere to be found. Suddenly, a massive blow from his back. It sent him sprawling on the floor of the spaceship. "Tch, Kakarot! I'm gonna defeat you! I've been waiting for this day for fifteen years! The dream of defeating you has driven me for the longest time. Now I can finally bring that dream to fruition!" Vegeta rushed at Goku, who was quite unprepared, and full power punched the left side of his face. Goku was thrown backwards. "AH! Vegeta, what was that for?!" Goku asked. "I finally got a good hit on you, Kakarot. Now you gotta bring your A-game!" Vegeta said. He cupped his hands behind each other; the back of one hand on the palm of the other. Purple lightning surrounded him. "You remember this move, Kakarot? The one I used back on Earth?" The purple lightning grew in intensity, and the aura became sporadic and violent. "GALICK GUN…. FIRE!" Vegeta's Galick Gun streamed inwards towards Goku. "Oh no! I gotta counter it! Kamehameha!" Goku didn't have the time to charge up his blast all the way, so it was at less than half power. The two energy beams hit each other with a massive air blast. The entire spaceship shuddered and groaned. The metal was barely holding together as it is from the impact on Planet Mobius. The two giant energy waves clashed. Both Goku and Vegeta were in their Super Saiyan 3 transformations, so their power was almost equal. Unfortunately for Vegeta, Goku had a trick up his sleeves. "Kaioken… times FOUR!" Goku activated his red powerup given to him by the great King Kai. His Kamehameha grew in size and strength, and began to push Vegeta's attack back towards him.
"No, Kakarot! How could you do this to me? I am the Prince of all Saiyans! I cannot be defeated…. AAAHHHH!" Vegeta was blown upwards, then came crashing back down. Goku rushed over with a Senzu Bean. "Vegeta, you look terrible. Here, eat this Senzu Bean. Sorry for beating you that hard." Goku helped Vegeta to a sitting position, and fed him the Senzu Bean. Immediately, his wounds began to heal. "You fought nicely. Next time, I think I'll let up a little bit. Adding the Kaioken to this Super Saiyan 3 form was a little extreme." Goku said. Suddenly, an alarm went off. "Five minutes until arrival on Planet Mobius. Prepare for landing." Goku smiled. "You hear that, Vegeta? We're almost at Sonic's planet! We should get Goten and Trunks ready. I'm gonna go get our armor that Bulma made for us, and we'll be all ready to land. By the way, why are we headed back to Mobius anyway?" Goku asked. Vegeta sighed in defeat. "Sonic told me that Majin Buu has made a reappearance. We need to go down there and finish him, and make sure he can't ever come back!" Vegeta clenched his fist. Goku nodded excitedly. "I knew King Yemma would come through for me! He revived Buu! Now I can fight him at my full strength." The Capsule Corp spaceship neared Planet Mobius and plummeted down through its atmosphere.
