And I'm back with another chapter. I don't think I said so before but each chapter in the Aftermath series takes place on the same day just with different couples. Alright now let's get back to the Aftermath series today's couple is….

Raven pov

I can't tell you the last time I've felt this free! Everything has been going so well since Andrea came to Ever After, the students have someone to talk to, and some of us are even benders including my brother and myself. And well I can barely remember the last time I've had this much control of my own magic.

Life is starting to fall into place now that Apple is FINALLY on board with the idea of everyone choosing their own destinies. Maybe some good did come from my mother being released from mirror prison after all. Apple is finally seeing things clearer, finding out Daring really wasn't her prince charming must have been eye opening. Speaking of prince charming's I haven't really hang out with Dexter in a while. I mean to be fairest things have been busy but still I wonder how he is doing?

Those were Raven's thoughts as she walk down the halls of her school, yes she saw Dexter in class and during bending lessons but they really hadn't had any one on one time since their date. I remember I was just so nervous and poor Dex was even more nervous too! Though things had turned out okay after the night was said and done they even agreed to go on a date again. But finding the time to do so was not written for them as of late, if it wasn't school projects it was bending practice or sudden trips to Wonderland or her mother being free from mirror prison. So on and so forth but Raven decided that today wasn't going to be like all the other days that kept the two apart, after all she liked Dexter a lot and as her brother would tease 'he would have probably been your Good King if you had decided to be evil anyway.'

Speaking of Rotty I wonder where he could be it's not like him to not at least say hi to me at least once today! Little did the birdy know that her own brother was going through some dating drama himself! It was finally during Science and Sorcery that she was finally able to see Dexter and as luck would have it they were picked to be lab partners.

"Hey, Dex haven't really seen you in a while…I mean I've seen you but-" Raven trailed off nervously rubbing her arm.

"I know what you mean, it seems like we are all just busy with one thing or another." Dexter answers back as they set out to work on their project. "Maybe we'll be able to hang out or something now that things have died down a bit?" Dexter asked her looking very hopeful.

"Yeah, like we could…go see another movie?" Raven asked shyly.

"Yeah, yeah that could be gort…I mean great or we could…I don't know go out to dinner together sometime soon?" Dexter question finally just as nervous as Raven.

"I'm free tonight!" Raven says excitedly but then pulls back a little with a laugh. "I mean it you want to go have that dinner tonight then I'm free."

"Great, we could go to the new Phantom Grey restaurant I heard it's pretty good." Dexter suggested.

"Yeah, I heard about that too…it should be fun." Raven said happily and with that the two would be going on their long awaited second date. Once the class was dismissed the two agreed to meet up later for their date at seven and then went on their separate ways.

Dexter Pov

It's amazing how much our lives can change so much from a short amount of time. From Raven rejecting her destiny to us going on our second date the events that took place felt like years in the making although really it was all happening in a few months! I've always known that I liked Raven since we were little chapters which was something that my brother and sister would tease me about. (I had no way to get back at Daring until he started crushing on Cerise himself.) Before Legacy day my only hope that maybe I could be with Raven was if I was destined to be the next Good King, I'm glad I never found out what my destiny was supposed to be that day because I would have been crushed if my destiny said something else.

Yes things were looking up now that everyone could choose their destinies, Raven and Dexter could be together if they really wanted to but Dexter still had his share of worries. What if he wasn't good enough, what if his parents hated him for this choice, what if Raven realized she didn't really like him after all?

"You look like you ate a rotten apple." Rotbart stated from behind the prince catching him by complete surprise.

"You, blend in the shadows a little too well." Dexter states trying to calm his racing heart.

"Why are you Royals so surprised when a villain does things that a villain would do?" Rotbart says rolling his eyes at the prince. "But the look on your face shows that you're thinking about my sister again." It wasn't a question it was a statement and for the first time ever after Dexter was nervous about something else. While Rotbart and Raven didn't overly state their status as siblings to the world people still knew about it and though Rotbart would never admit to (unless he was tortured) how much he cared about his sister he still did.

"Ah, yeah we have a date tonight." Dexter gulped nervously staring up at the taller boy.

"Where?" Rotbart asked coolly though it felt more like a demand to Dexter as he stared down the younger boy a focused look on his face between amusement and intimidation. There was nothing that Rotbart enjoyed more then to make others feel fear just from asking simple questions.

"T-That new restaurant Phantom Grey." Dexter stammered he hated himself for feeling this nervous but he could swear that Rotbart was using his dark magic to bring out his worse fears so that the villain could feed off of it.

"Well isn't that-" Rotbart paused for a second seeming to forget about the other boy after hearing someone coming down the hall. "We'll have to finish this conversation another time." And before Dexter could questioned him he was gone.

"What was that about it?" Dexter questioned to himself not realizing someone else had heard him.

"What was what about Dexter?" Apple asked having been the person coming down the hall and stopping to speak with her friend.

"Nothing, I guess I was just talking to Rotbart when he-" But Dexter didn't get a chance to finish his sentence before he was interrupted.

"Rotbart! Where is he? Where did he go?!" Apple shouted at him even going so far as to shake him a bit looking around the hall almost in a panic.

"Whoa! Apple he's gone ok!" Dexter tells her holding his hands up to stop her from shaking him. "I don't know where he took off to."

"Right, ok sorry for shaking you it wasn't fairly royal of me to do." Apple tells him calming down although she did look very disappointed.

"Its fine Apple…are you looking for him?" Dexter asked curiously it wasn't like Apple to want to see the villain who had taken his sister's place in her story.

"What? No! No I just like to know if he's around in case he's up to something evil." Apple says with a nervous laugh and before Dexter could question her Apple was hurrying on her way.

"Those two are acting weird today." Dexter says out loud to himself as he heads towards his next class.

Normal Pov

The day continued on as normal for the two and before they knew it was time for their date. Though this wasn't their first date they were both pretty nervous though lucky not as nervous as their first movie date. They at least made it to the restaurant without flowers dying or knocking things over this time!

Though by the time they were seated at the restaurant they were both having a hard time coming up with something to talk about.

"So…bending lessons are you looking forward to going back to earth bending tomorrow?" Raven asked while looking down and playing with her napkin.

"Yes, I mean Lily is a tough teacher but she's really good even when she's throwing boulders at us!" Dexter answered back.

"Well you and Darling are really good I think you guys might be the best in the class." Raven tells him finally having the courage to look up at him.

"Really?!" Dexter asked kind of shocked to hear her say that to him.

"Yes really." Raven tells him smiling at him.

"Raven, you know our first date was great and all but we were both too nervous to really enjoying it. I think we should just relax and enjoy the moment you know?" Dexter tells her feeling hopeful.

"You know what Dexter I think that's a hexellent idea!" And as cliché as it would seem the two were finally able to just enjoy the rest of the evening without feeling like they were making a fool of themselves. That feeling continued on until they were both walking back to the school before it got passed the time for curfew.

"So, Raven I know this is only our second date but-" Dexter began to say nervously as they stood in front of the door to Raven's dorm room.

"Yes, Dexter?" Raven asked in a hopeful voice looking up at him.

"It's just that I've liked you for a long time and I don't know how you feel yet completely but would you…I mean if you want would you be my girlfriend?" Dexter finally managed to ask her.

"Yes!" Raven answer back happily throwing her arms around his neck.

"Really! That's Gort…I mean-" But before Dexter could finish fixing his sentence he was cut off by Raven kissing which at first shocked him a bit until he pulled her closer and kissed her back.

Raven Pov

By the time Raven made it inside her room she could only think of just one word. FINALLY! Finally Dexter and I can be together no drama or pre-determined destinies to get in our way. She couldn't help but giggle as she thought about their first kiss. So sweet but not overly so and gentle and just so charming! Raven thought with glee only to have her thoughts interrupted by the sound of her roommate coming into the room humming to a song only she could hear.

"I guess I'm not the only one in a good mood tonight." Raven says with a chuckle as she watched Apple float around the room.

"Oh, Raven isn't love just magical." Apple all but sings as she continues to spin around.

"Ok, I know why I'm in such a good mood but whose got you so worked up?" Raven asked her friend. "Especially since you just found out a few days ago that Daring Charming wasn't your prince charming?"

"Oh Raven, I can't believe how foolish I was! I mean that was just such naïve thinking, oh well everything is fixed now that I've found out who my true love was all along." Apple says in a dreamy voice as she drops down onto to her bed.

"Who?" Raven asked curiously though now she was looking at Apple quiet oddly.

"Rotbart." Apple exclaims with a happy sigh.

"Wait WHAT?!" Raven questions in complete shock.

"We've already agreed to start dating today!" Apple continues to say happily. "WHAT?" "And I know it's going to be a lot of work but I know he's going to make the best prince charming!" "WHAT?" "I just hope it's not going to be too hard for him to act more princely. That was one of the good things about Daring but even still I should have known we were never meant to be." Apple continues on lost in her own little world climbing out of her bed and walking towards an open window.

"Apple wait! When? How? Who?" Raven asked all at once trying to get a grip on this situation the last time she checked those two hated each other! Rotty couldn't even stand the sound of Apple's voice and now he was DATING HER!

"Oh Raven, isn't it hexciting one day when Rotbart and I are married we'll be sisters!" Apple squeals with glee much to Raven's confusion.

"WHAT?!" Raven shouted again almost losing control of her magic.
