Epilogue Part 4: Bravery and Heart

Alright everybody, it's finally time for the final chapter of the story, well not actually since there is the bonus chapter, which I'm going to start writing soon after I upload this chapter. So, I guess you can call this the final official chapter. I think it's fair to warn you all that you should prepare for quite the read as this chapter is just under 15,200 words. Honestly, I should have split into two chapters, but I've said many times this will be the final one besides the bonus chapter and it's a great cap off to everything that has happened in this story, so I decided to just leave it this way. Sorry for how long it is, but I assure you all the long read will be worth it and I'm gonna answer you all some questions at the end like I did with my Scarred Pride fanfic when I finished it. So, enjoy the chapter and don't forget to review and answer my questions when your done reading.

Tomorrow had come too quickly for Janja. Hatari had woken everybody up early and they made their way into the Pride Lands. Hatari had the clan split up so that they'd be harder to spot and so that they could cover more ground. Hatari went with, Ulimi, Gereza, and Azizi's girlfriend, Mzizi while she sent Janja with her unlaughing, stern faced brother Gombo and Nyoka to keep an eye on him and much to Janja's dismay, Kamari and Azizi. When the groups split up, Kamari and Azizi made sure to harass Janja about finding Gozi, saying that if he failed this time than he should start learning how to run away from Hatari without any legs since she'd probably rip all of them off.

Janja told them to shut up and not to worry since he knew exactly where to look for Gozi. Janja led his four unwanted companions through the Pride Lands, dodging many animals to avoid being spotted. They soon arrived at Pride Rock, which Kamari, Azizi, Gombo, and Nyoka took a moment to marvel at, Azizi stating he always wanted a home like that while invading Kamari's personal space. Janja commanded them to stop sightseeing and lead them into the Lair of the Lion Guard, hoping to find Gozi in there. Gozi wasn't there however and they began to leave.

However, as they were leaving, Kion and Vitani were just walking in, having parted ways with Jasiri and Gozi a little bit ago. Janja and his group quickly hid so that they weren't spotted by the two Lion Guard leaders. As they hid, Janja overheard them talking about Gozi being with Jasiri and assembling his Lion Guard. Janja had to hold back his gasp when he heard that. If Gozi was assembling his Lion Guard than he had to find him quickly and finish him off, but with Jasiri being with him, it wouldn't be easy.

Janja and his group made a break for it out of the lair when Kion and Vitani's backs were turned. They made it back into the savannah and searched for Gozi for nearly three hours, but came up with nothing. Janja, beginning to think they'd never find Gozi, huffed and walked off into some tall grass, wishing he had a bird friend like Mzingo back in the day to help him find Gozi. As he did, he heard something up ahead. Curious about what it was, Janja continued forward to see what it was, he was surprised when he saw that it was Gozi and quickly backed up back into the tall grass before the cub could spot him.

Janja's group came up to him and asked what was going on, but he quickly shushed them and pointed towards Gozi. When the four other hyenas saw Gozi, Azizi suggested that they rush in and grab him, but Janja told not yet. He told Gombo and Nyoka to go and look for Hatari and the other groups and bring them back here so that they all could surround and capture Gozi. Nyoka only went, saying that Hatari would want at least him or Gombo to still be with Janja, which Janja had to begrudgingly relent to. As Nyoka went to look for Hatari and the others, Janja, Kamari, Azizi, and Gombo watched to make sure Gozi didn't leave where he was sitting.

As they did, they noticed that Gozi seemed sad about something from the way he was sitting and Kamari verbally pointed it out, Azizi wondering why. Janja said that he didn't care about whatever Gozi was sad about and commanded the two of them to take a page from Gombo's book and shut up. Janja continued to watch Gozi as he sat there until a few minutes later, a creature he had never seen before came and sat by the cub. It looked like a hyena, but it had stripes kinda like a zebra. It sat there in silence for a couple minutes before asking Gozi if he wanted to talk about something.

Gozi began to tell the strange creature about how he wasn't ready to lead the Lion Guard yet, but that he felt like he had to since everyone expected it of him. As he listened, Kamari tapped on Janja's shoulder and told him that Hatari was here. Janja looked to see Hatari and the rest of the clan a few feet away, walking towards them and as they were, Janja heard Gozi and the strange creature say something that if Hatari heard, would reveal his lie to her yesterday.

"It's tradition. Tradition for a new Lion Guard to start once a cub blessed with the Roar of Elders discovers it." Gozi said.

"Not to sound disrespectful to Pride Lands culture, but screw tradition. Discovering the Roar of Elders shouldn't automatically determine you're ready to lead the Lion Guard, it should be up to you to determine when you're ready Gozi." the strange creature said.

Janja nervously held his breath, hoping Hatari didn't hear the two young animals say that and call him out on lying. Hatari came to Janja's side soon after Gozi told the strange creature that he thought that he'll never be ready. Hatari didn't say anything and just listened as the young animals continued to talk, so he decided to continue listening as well. The strange creature asked if his problems came from Janja and the clan attacking Gozi yesterday, but he said no, that it was because he wasn't fierce like the strange creature's dad. Hearing that made Janja more curious about their conversation, especially on the part of who this strange creature's dad was and what he had to do with fierceness and the Lion Guard.

The two young animals continued to talk until the strange creature convinced Gozi to tell her what was truly bugging him, which was about going through the same things that Kion went through with summoning back a great evil like Scar or being manipulated by someone like Rani. However, that wasn't the thing that had caught Janja's attention, it was the revelation of who the strange creature's father was.

"I'm worried about going through the same things that Uncle Kion went through." Gozi said.

"The same things that my dad went through?" the strange creature questioned.

Kion, this strange creature's father was Kion, which also meant that Jasiri must be her mother as well. Janja softly growled at this revelation. When he and Hatari's clan came to the Pride Lands, Janja's goal was to kill Kion along with his friends and family and/or at the very least their kids. Now, here was an unexpected surprise, the adoptive child of Kion and Jasiri, the two animals that had wrong him the most. There was no way he was going to let this strange creature get back to Kion and Jasiri alive or at least without being seriously injured.

Janja stood up to try and charge at the strange creature, but Hatari held him back. Janja looked at her to see her giving him a questioning look.

"Janja, these two have been talking an awful lot about the roar. I'm starting to think you lied to me yesterday." Hatari whispered.

"No, I haven't lied to you. The cub doesn't have the roar." Janja lied, keeping a straight face despite his nervous fear of being discovered.

"Then why are they also talking about the Lion Guard. Wasn't Kion made leader of the Lion Guard after he first roared at those two old friends of yours, Cheezi and Chungu?" Hatari asked.

"Yes." Janja answered.

"And isn't this cub around the same age that Kion was at the time?" Hatari asked.

"Uh, more or less, but hay, maybe they're being smarter with the Lion Guard this time around. Remember when I told ya that Vitani's Lion Guard won those challenges they set up to determine whose guard would protect the Pride Lands and that Vitani and her lionesses were training under Zira for years? Well, maybe it's the same thing here." Janja said, trying to come up with a lie to get him out of the hot water. "Maybe they've prepicked this kid's guard members and are training them and the kid knows his time to lead the guard when he first discovers his roar is almost here and the pressure is getting to him."

"Hmmm. Valid points." Hatari agreed, but still sounding very skeptical.

Janja, Hatari, and the others continued to listen to Gozi and the strange creature's conversation. The strange creature kept saying things to Gozi to try and encourage him not to be afraid of what happened to Kion happening to him and not to expect others to expect him of anything, but her and how. This seemed to work in making Gozi feel better about himself and the Lion Guard by him saying that he thought he was ready now. They saw Gozi put his paw on the strange creature's shoulder where the mark of the Lion Guard soon appeared and then they hugged each other. As Gozi began to awkwardly thank the strange creature, Hatari looked at Janja with a devilish grin.

"I think it's time we finally introduced ourselves to the little ones, Janja." Hatari said.

Meanwhile, not too far from where Gozi and Asante were being confronted by Hatari and Janja's clan, Kion, Jasiri Kiara, Kovu, Madoa, Cheezi, Chungu, Umoja, Busara, and Kion's and Gozi's guards were out looking for them. Soon after Asante went after Gozi, Simba, Nala, Rafiki, Makini, Zazu, Timon, and Pumbaa came into the lair, asking what was wrong with Gozi. Kion explained that Gozi had suddenly had a nervous breakdown when faced with the Cave of Secrets and questioned his own decisions on choosing members for the Lion Guard. After hearing so, Simba suggested he go out and watch over Gozi and Asante, not wanting them to be out in the Pride Lands alone for their safety. Kion agreed, got Jasiri and both went out to look for the two cubs, accompanied by the others.

Jasiri sniffed around for her daughter and nephew's scent and began to track them while the others followed behind her. As they did, Gozi's brother, friends, and guard members wondered why Gozi had suddenly started freaking out about the guard and ran off. They thought it could be because of his fear of bad hyenas since he had said that at no point yesterday when those hyenas attacked him and Umoja, he hadn't felt brave or fierce, even when he used the roar on them. However, they didn't think that was the case since whatever was troubling him seemed deeper than that.

"Mom, dad, Uncle Kion, Aunt Jasiri." Umoja addressed. "What do you think is bothering Gozi about the Lion Guard?"

"Well, you just said it yourself, it's the Lion Guard and it's a big responsibility to take on, especially for a young cub." Kiara said.

"Which is why I suggested we wait to give him this responsibility when he's older. He's too young to worry about these things." Kovu said.

"I was around his age when I started and I did just fine." Kion said.

"Well, he's different from you, Kion." Kovu said.

Kion nodded and apologized, not meaning to sound uncaring about it.

"It could be that and maybe the hyenas that attacked him and Umoja yesterday." Madoa said. "Afterall, he is scared of bad hyenas and these are the first bad hyenas in the Pride Lands ever since Janja went back to being bad when Jasiri and Kion began dating."

Upon saying Janja's name, Kion, Jasiri, Kiara, and Kovu tensed up. Jasiri continued to sniff on, but Kion, Kiara, and Kovu looked at each other somewhat worryingly. Umoja noticed the look on his uncle and parents faces and it got him wondering. He and Gozi along with the rest of their friends knew all about Janja, how he use to be bad, then he turned good, and went back to being bad all because their Aunt Jasiri loved their Uncle Kion and not him. They knew of the things Janja had done to try and get Jasiri as his mate, willing or unwilling and of the fight he and Kion had gotten into. They weren't told what Kion did exactly to Janja in that fight, but they were told at the very least that he had messed Janja up pretty bad to the point he'd never be the same.

Umoja than suddenly thought back to yesterday when he and Gozi described what the scarred hyena looked like to their family and Rafiki and Makini. When they did, they all had seemed somewhat frightened about it, Kion and Jasiri especially and they had noticed. When he and Gozi asked if the scarred hyena was someone they knew and if they should worry about him, Kion and Jasiri shared a glance with each other and the other adults before telling them not to worry. Umoja like his brother was disappointed that they had refused to answer their question and still thought they knew who that scarred hyena was, but he let it go eventually, but he guessed Gozi hadn't. Umoja like the rest of his friends still didn't think the hyenas were entirely what Gozi's problem was, but he guessed that they, this scarred hyena especially must be part of it.

"Hay, Uncle Kion, Aunt Jasiri." Umoja called out.

Jasiri stopped sniffing and looked towards Umoja along with the others.

"Yes Umoja?" Jasiri asked.

"Uh, hay, do you remember when we described that scarred hyena to you and the others yesterday and asked if he was someone you knew?" Umoja asked.

Jasiri, Kion, Kiara, and Kovu all glanced at each other.

"Yeah, we remember. Why?" Kion asked.

"Well, Gozi was pretty shaken up by the whole incident with the hyenas yesterday and you all seemed a little shaken up when we described the scarred hyena to you and you refused to answer us when we asked if you somehow knew him. I was just wondering if it was still lingering in his mind and if it's what's troubling him or at least part of it." Umoja explained. "So, if you know who that scarred hyena is, can you please just tell us?"

Jasiri, Kion, Kiara, and Kovu all shared another glance along with their friends. Umoja and Gozi yesterday had had them right just as Umoja did now, they did know who this scarred hyena was or least suspected who he was. Umoja deserved to know the truth of who it probably was that attacked him and Gozi yesterday, as did Gozi's guard to know that an old enemy of the Pride Lands was probably back and that they might face him soon. Kion sighed before he spoke up.

"Umoja, truthfully, we don't know exactly who this scarred hyena is, but we have suspicions of who he might be." Kion said.

"Who do you think he is?" Umoja asked.

"From the way you and Gozi described him, we think the scarred hyena that attacked you two might be Janja." Kion said.

"Janja?" Umoja exclaimed.

When Umoja asked his parents, uncle, and aunt if they knew who this scarred hyena was, by their reactions, he had a small suspicion that it could be Janja, but didn't think it was. Now to hear that his suspicions was probably correct was one heck of a surprise. As for the rest of Umoja's friends, they looked at each other somewhat fearful at hearing that Janja might be back. They thought that if he wanted to, he'd probably come after them since they were part of the new Lion Guard, especially Busara and Mbio since they were the children of his enemies and the two of them were an easy way to hurt Bunga and Fuli.

"Janja, really, he's back?" Umoja questioned.

"We don't know for sure Umoja. It's like your uncle said, from the way you described him, it could be." Kovu said.

"Yeah, ash grey fur, black spikey hyena's mane, one blind eye because of four scars over it, and walks with a limp in one of his back legs; those are the exact injuries Kion gave him during their fight." Kiara said.

"With those features, this scarred hyena definitely sounds like Janja to me." Jasiri agreed.

"But what about the other scars he had on him? Did he have those the last time you saw him?" Umoja asked.

"No, but it's been almost a year since he left and a lot could have happened since then. So, it's really no surprise he might have picked up some new scars." Madoa said.

"Why didn't you tell us yesterday when Gozi and I first asked." Umoja asked his aunt and uncle.

"We wanted to tell you, but Gozi already had a lot on his plate at the moment with the roar and having to look forward to assembling his Lion Guard and we didn't want to scare him and you by saying Janja was back only for it to possibly end up just being a spooky coincidence." Kovu said.

"I even sent Ono into the Outlands this morning to look for where the hyenas were holding up with plans to send Kinyonga in later so she can use her camouflage abilities to spy in on them and confirm if this scarred hyena was Janja or not." Kion said.

"And I searched every part of the Outlands, but couldn't find these hyenas anywhere. I even asked a few other animals if they had seen them, but still, nothing came up." Ono said.

"Then if these hyenas are not in the Outlands than where do you think they are?" Kweli asked, looking a little scared.

Jasiri just shook her head at Kweli's question.

"We don't know Kweli. Umoja overheard yesterday that Janja wants to kill Kion and the rest of his friends and/or Busara and Mbio at the least, as well as Asante, if he hasn't found out about her yet, which is why we can't let her and Gozi be out here on their own." Jasiri said.

Umoja's body shuddered at the thought. The boogeyman just stuck his gnarly scarred covered face out from behind that closet door and he was looking for him as well as his brother, their friends and their parents. Bunga suddenly came up and laughed the whole thing off.

"Ahh, I'm not worried. Gozi's got the roar, so he can take care of himself and Asante." Bunga said.

"Well, magic roar or no magic roar, I don't want my son to be out there without an adult watching his back." Kiara said as Kovu nodded in agreement with her.

"Yes, so now, let's continue looking for Gozi and Asante." Kion said.

As Kion said that, Jasiri leaned her head back down towards the ground to sniff her daughter and nephew out. As soon as she began, two screams were suddenly heard not far off. Everyone's heads turned into the direction of the screams.

"That was Asante and Gozi!" Madoa said.

Without thinking twice, Kion, Jasiri, Kiara, and Kovu ran in the direction of the screams, everyone else following close behind them. Everyone came onto a hill that lead down into a large open field and down below, they saw Gozi and Asante surround by thirty hyenas. Two of the hyenas were in the middle of the circle, lunging at the two cubs, who were dodging the snapping jaws of the hyenas, thirsty for their blood.

"Oh no." Kiara gasped at the sight of her son and adoptive striped hyena niece in danger.

Ono used his keen eyesight to get a good look at one of the two hyenas. He gasped when he saw the face of the scarred hyena, he was definitely Janja.

"Kion! Jasiri! Janja is down there and he's one of the two hyenas attacking Gozi and Asante!" Ono said.

Kion viciously snarled as he looked down towards the hyenas.

"He's got a lot of nerve coming back here and attacking my daughter and nephew!" Kion growled.

"Why hasn't Gozi used the roar to get rid of those hyenas?" Beshte wondered out loud.

"He won't be able to with Janja attacking him and Asante like that and besides, they're all too spread out. One of those hyenas would attack him from behind or from the sides before he could roar twice." Kion said.

"Ugh! What are we doing standing around here, we gotta save them!" Kovu said.

"Yeah, and give Janja a good old-fashioned tail kicking!" Bunga said, cracking his knuckles.

"Leave that to us dad." Busara said.

Busara than began to run down the hill with Kweli, Mbio, Mtoto, and Ona.

"What are they doing?" Binga exclaimed.

"What does it look like, to save Gozi and Asante." Azaad said.

"Well, come on, let's go help them." Kiara said.

Kiara and Kovu were about to run down and help fight against the hyenas, but Kion stuck out a foreleg, blocking them.

"Kion, what are you doing?" Jasiri questioned, noticing.

"This is their first test guys." Kion said.

"First test? What does that mean?" Kiara questioned.

"My guard's first test was when we fought Janja and his clan, Gozi's guard is to fight Janja, Hatari, and their clan. This will truly show if they're a worthy Lion Guard." Kion said.

"But Kion, there are so many of them down there." Jasiri said.

"That's why I want you all to be ready to rush in at any second, but first I want to see how Gozi's guard works together." Kion said.

Meanwhile, down below, Gozi and Asante were still narrowly dodging Janja and Hatari's jaws and the two hyenas were getting frustrated. Hatari commanded her clan to start closing in to give Gozi and Asante less room to get out of the way. The clan did as Hatari commanded and moved in until they were all standing shoulder to shoulder and forming multiple rings around each other. The plan worked and Janja and Hatari soon were able to firmly pin down both the cubs, Hatari, Asante and Janja, Gozi.

"Stop struggling so we won't make a mess." Hatari growled down at Asante.

"No! Let us go!" Asante screamed.

Gozi meanwhile was staring fearfully up at Janja, who sinisterly grinned down at him.

"You're pathetic, you know that. Kion was at least a challenge in his time, but you, you barley put up a fight." Janja mocked.

Janja waited for Gozi to respond back, but he didn't.

"What, you're not even going to say something? No begging for your life or anything?" Janja questioned. "Very well, if you got nothing interesting to say or are at the very least going to attempt to scream for help, Hatari and I might as well end this now."

Hatari evilly chuckled as she looked towards Janja.

"Hold onto to the lion cub Janja while I take care of this stripped freak here." Hatari said.

"Yes Hatari." Janja replied.

Janja watched eagerly as Hatari bared her teeth and was about to deliver the killing blow. However, Janja was suddenly taken out of his excitement as he felt something fly into his face, pulling on his ears and pecking at his face.

"Ono!" Janja angrily shouted.

"Close, but no!" Ona replied.

"Grrr! Back off you flying freak!" Janja growled as he shook his head to try and throw Ona off.

As Ona kept pulling on Janja's ears and pecking him in the face, Janja got off of Gozi, allowing the cub to safely get away. Hatari, who had been distracted from her attempt to kill Asante by Ona's sudden attack on Janja, saw this and growled.

"No! Grab that cub!" Hatari commanded her clan.

A few hyenas broke away from the circle to try and grab Gozi, but Mtoto came in and smacked them away with his trunk.

"Hi there Gozi, thank me later." Mtoto greeted.

Further back, Azizi gasped at the sight of Mtoto.

"Oh no, Kamari, they got an elephant!" Azizi exclaimed.

"I can see that Az." Kamari replied.

Hatari growled as she saw that everything was about to fall apart. She gasped when she looked up and saw Kion standing on the hill with everyone else. She looked back down at Asante and growled. If her plan to come into the Pride Lands to find and kill Gozi was going to fail, she wasn't going to leave without killing at least someone. She shot her head down towards Asante with her jaws wide open.

She was about to clamp down on her neck, but suddenly felt something pull on her ears from behind. It was Busara, who vaulted over Hatari's head, grabbed onto the large hyena's ears with her hands and flipped Hatari hard onto her stomach. Bunga seeing this, whooped and hollered from up on the hill, punching his fists into the air.

"Yeah! That's my girl!" Bunga shouted.

"You mean our girl!" Binga said, celebrating Busara's impressive move just as loudly as her husband.

Back down among the scattering hyena clan and while Hatari was stunned for the moment, Busara went to help Asante up.

"Thanks for the save there Busara." Asante said.

"Don't mention it." Busara said.

"Look out!" Asante suddenly shouted.

Hatari, having quickly recovered, tried to attack Busara from behind. Busara gasped in fright and her natural defenses as a honey badger kicked in a reflex, releasing a powerful stench in Hatari's face, causing her to cough and gag. From atop the hill, Bunga and Binga cheered even more at seeing this while from somewhere in the battlefield, Janja, who was no longer getting his face attacked by Ona, saw this and faced pawed himself.

"Oh great! Just what we need, another fart-happy munchkin." Janja groaned.

Back with Busara and Asante, Busara, who looked embarrassed, glanced at Asante who was clutching her nose, but still seemed slightly amused.

"Busara, did you just…" Asante tried to ask.

"Uh, let's pretend that never happened." Busara quickly said as they rushed away from Hatari. "If anyone ever asks, we say that I totally clocked, alright?"

"Alright." Asante agreed. "Oh, and by the way Busara. I found out what was bothering Gozi and I think I finally figured out why you suggested Gozi make me part of his guard instead."

"Oh really, what is it?" Busara asked.

"Well, Gozi said that I have a lot of heart, more so than anyone else on his team and that I know exactly what to say, just like my mom." Asante said.

"Yeah, that's basically what I was thinking." Busara said. "You are a lot like your mom. I always questioned why your dad never made your mom part of his guard during or after the war with Scar's spirit. The Lion Guard got its first female, a team made up of different animals, and the Pride Lands were finally accepting hyenas, so it needed a hyena as part of it."

"Well, I guess I'm that hyena now." Asante said.

"Yeah!" Busara said.

Asante and Busara did a highpaw and as they did, they were surrounded by five hyenas lead by Ulimi.

"Busara, use that move again on these guys." Asante advised.

"Where I jump over their heads and grab 'em by the ears?" Busara questioned. "I don't think it can work on multiple opponents."

"No, I'm talking about that other move you did. The one your dad uses a lot when fighting bad guys." Asante specified.

"Uh uh, no way. That first one was already embarrassing enough and I said to never mention it." Busara refused.

The hyenas surrounding Busara and Asante, on Ulimi's command took the chance of them distracting themselves to lunge at them. Busara noticed this and attacked the hyenas, using lots of flippy kicks and punches while Asante dodged and bit or punched the hyenas. While Asante and Busara were doing this, Mbio was running in a circle around ten hyenas, one of them being Hatari's brother, Nyoka. Each hyena was deciding whether to attack the young cheetah or not, but he was so fast that he looked like nothing more than a yellow and black blur to them, which was making them dizzy.

"Oh. I think I'm gonna hurl." Nyoka groaned, feeling nauseous.

Mbio stopped a few seconds later and the hyenas immediately tried to attack him, but they were all too dizzy to do so. They wobbled around like they were drunk as they tried to bite, swipe, and lunge at Mbio, who easily dodged them and shoved them to the ground. From up on the hill, Azaad and Fuli were looking impressed.

"Damn, that kid is faster than us." Azaad said.

"Oh no way, I'm still faster than the both of you combined, that was just a simple, yet effective and a cool move. Why didn't I ever think of that?" Fuli asked herself.

Soon enough, Mbio finished up with the hyenas and cockily swiped dust off his shoulder, not noticing Gereza coming up behind him to attack. The hyena lunged at him, but before he collided with the cheetah, Mtoto suddenly grabbed him out of the air with his trunk.

"You know, I'm more of a hugger than a fighter and you sir, look like you need a hug. So, come on and let's hug." Mtoto joked.

Mtoto constricted the hyena tighter with his trunk, nearly squeezing the life out of him.

"Grrr! Let go of me you long nosed, peanut brain freak!" Gereza demanded.

"Long nosed, peanut brain?" Mtoto gasped insulted.

Mtoto tossed Gereza into the air and punched him with his trunk as he fell, sending him crashing into Kamari and Azizi.

"I told you that elephant was going to cause a lot of trouble for us." Azizi said.

"Ahhh! Shut up Azizi!" Kamari shouted.

Elsewhere on the field, Ona had stopped pecking at Janja's face and pulling his ears and flew over to some other hyenas, pulling on their ears or tails or pecking them on the head or in the face with her beak. As she did so, the hyenas angrily snapped at her, but they kept missing. Ona had even managed to trick some hyenas into hitting or biting their own clan mates. Ona was now flying away from a large group of hyenas. As she flew, she looked to the side to see Kweli, who was also running from a group of hyenas looking at her.

They both made eye contact and nodded. They both turned so that they were heading straight for each other. At the last second, they broke off to the sides, causing the two groups of hyenas that had been chasing them to collide with each other.

"You're plan worked." Ona said as she landed next to the young jackal.

"I'm surprised that it actually did." Kweli responded.

As his friends and guard members handled the hyenas, Gozi was off on the sidelines. He was trying his hardest to use the Roar of Elders, but his attempts only kept coming out as cubbish squeaks and his throat was starting to get sore.

"Dammit! Why isn't this stupid thing working?" Gozi growled in frustration.

Gozi continued to try and roar to the point where he began coughing. Gozi stopped and massaged his throat and as he did, he heard laughing in front of him. He looked up to see Kamari and Azizi skulking towards him.

"What's the matter kid, still can't roar?" Kamari mockingly asked.

"Yeah, cause all Kamari and I can hear is the meowing." Azizi said.

Gozi nervously looked around, there was no way to safely get away from these two and his friends were all too busy with other hyenas to come and help him, so he unsheathed his claws. Seeing this, Kamari and Azizi laughed.

"Come on kid, put those away before you accidently hurt yourself." Kamari laughed.

"I, I, I don't need a roar to fight you two." Gozi said, trying to keep himself from freaking out.

Kamari and Azizi just laughed, unfazed by Gozi's threat.

"You think you scare us kid. Come on, we saw what you were like yesterday." Kamari said. "All legs and no claws."

"Yeah, your brother put up more of a fight even though Janja could have bitten him in two." Azizi said.

"I may not be a natural fighter like my uncle or aunts, but I can still take you two down." Gozi said.

"Big talk from such a little guy whose shaking like a furless animal in the snowy mountains and whose eyes are as wide as a full moon." Kamari said. "I'm done talking kid, Azizi and I are now gonna kill ya and once we kill ya and deliver you to Hatari, she'll move both us up in rank back above that cyclops, Janja."

Kamari and Azizi lunged for Gozi, who repeatedly dodged their snapping jaws, unable to get a hit in. Ona, who was currently pecking a hyena on the head while pulling on his ears saw this and went to her leader's aid. She pulled on Kamari's ears while pecking Azizi's head.

"Get them Gozi!" Ona encouraged.

Gozi nodded and jumped up and scratched Azizi in the face. Azizi yelled out in irritation from the flesh wounds Gozi's claws left and tried to snap at him. Gozi jumped out of the way of Azizi's jaws and before he could pull back, Gozi threw himself at Azizi's face, biting down on his muzzle. Azizi growled and madly shook his head to throw Gozi off, but the cub held on tightly with his claws digging into the skin of Azizi's head and face.

"Kamari help!" Azizi called out to his companion.

"Help yourself!" Kamari snapped, trying to reach up with his paws at Ona, who was still pulling on his ears.

Kamari growled and tried to slam his head and Ona into the ground, but Ona flew away, causing Kamari to slam just his head into the ground and to see stars. Kamari shook his head looked at Azizi, still trying to shake Gozi off. Kamari growled and tried to snap at Gozi. Gozi noticed and used one of his back paws to slash Kamari across his snout. Kamari hissed in pain as he clutched his nose.

Kamari growled and made another snap for Gozi. This time, Gozi let go, falling off Azizi's face and causing Kamari to accidently bite Azizi's good ear and shake it, thinking it was Gozi.

"Ow, ow, ow! Kamari, that's my good ear! You're gonna rip it off!" Azizi said hysterically.

Kamari realized and let go of his companion. He looked to see Gozi running away from them.

"Grrr! That cub is starting to get on my last nerve." Kamari growled.

"We would have had him if that dumb bird hadn't distracted us." Azizi said.

"Well come on, let's not let him get away!" Kamari said.

Kamari and Azizi ran after Gozi, quickly catching up with him. They were just inches away from grabbing onto his tail until Kweli noticed. She pointed this out to Mtoto, who instead of clubbing the two with his trunk, used it to trip them. The two rolled head over heels, ending up flat on their stomachs. They two tried get back up, but Mtoto placed his foot down on them, being careful not to injure their backs.

Kweli came around with a grin on her face and began to tease them by getting close enough to where they could snap at and grab her, but jumping back before they could and flicked and kick the two hyenas in their noses. Kweli was having a good time doing so and so was Mtoto as he watched until they both looked into the battlefield and saw Ona being held down, pinned by her wings by Azizi's mate, Mzizi. Azizi also saw this and cheered her on. Kweli quickly motioned Mtoto to lean down closer to her so she could whisper something to him. Mtoto nodded at what Kweli said and grabbed Kamari and Azizi with his trunk.

"Oh, what now?" Kamari groaned.

Mtoto and Kweli looked towards Mzizi and Ona.

"Hay, lady!" Mtoto shouted towards Mzizi.

This got Mzizi's attention and she looked towards Mtoto and Kweli, but as she did, Kamari and Azizi, who had been thrown by Mtoto, collided with her, knocking her away from Ona.

"Catch." Mtoto said.

Ona quickly flew safely away from the ground and toward her two fellow guard members.

"Thanks for the save there." Ona thanked.

"Any time." Kweli replied.

As that was going on, Gozi made it safely to the far edge of the battle field and looked on. Most of the hyenas were laying on the ground knocked out or too injured to get up with a small number of them fleeing back to the Outlands. Gozi saw Asante with Busara, who was battling against Hatari's other brother, Gombo. Gombo tried to snap at Busara, but she held back his gaping jaws with her hands and curiously looked inside his mouth to see his missing tongue.

"Wow, Gozi and Umoja weren't kidding when they said this guy had no tongue, Asante." Gozi heard Busara say.

Gozi turned his attention away from them and scanned the field for Janja and Hatari, but couldn't see them anywhere. He decided to not worry about them and stopped to focus on trying to roar again. Gozi tried to roar three times, but still nothing was coming out. Gozi angrily yelled through his teeth and tears of frustration stung at the corners of his eyes.

"Come on you dumb roar, work!" Gozi demanded, his voice hoarse from his sore throat.

Gozi continued to try and roar as two figures snuck up behind him from the tall grass. The two figures checked to make sure it was safe before they pounced on Gozi, pinning the cub to the ground on his stomach. Gozi was able to look up to see that it was Janja and Hatari.

"Still unable to roar? Aww, that's too bad." Janja mocked.

"Grrr. I roared your entire clan away yesterday, this time I'll make sure not to miss you." Gozi said.

"Well kid, even if you did roar yesterday, which you didn't, where's your roar now?" Janja asked.

Gozi just stayed silent, unable to answer that. Where was his roar, how come he was able to roar yesterday, but not today? Hatari noticed the look on Gozi's face.

"I think I know why." Hatari said.

"You do?" Janja questioned, looking towards his mate.

"Yes, did you not hear any of what the cub said before we revealed ourselves? He was talking all about how he's not a fighter or fierce and how he doesn't think that he's good leader material because of it and he's right, because he's too scared of what the roar caused Kion in the past to step up to the challenge." Hatari said.

"No!" Gozi protested. "Asante said I can do this and if she says I can do it than I can do it."

Hatari laughed.

"Kid, if you're that naïve to think the world works that way than you've got a lot to learn." Hatari said. "It doesn't take a cute little speech with sweet, encouraging words that makes you able to do things, it takes skill and having the will to do whatever it takes and from what I heard during your conversation with your little striped friend, you have none of that."

"No!" Gozi shouted.

"Face it little cub, you're a failure!" Hatari laughed. "Now…

Hatari placed one of her front paws between Gozi's shoulder blades and held down his head with the other so she could easily get at his neck. Janja grinned as he stood back and watched.

"Good night sweet prince." Hatari said as she bared her fangs.

Gozi closed his eyes and waited for Hatari's teeth to sink into his neck, but they never came. Gozi heard someone close shout 'no' at Hatari and looked up ahead to see someone jump at her. Hatari growled, her grip on Gozi was still firm, but he could feel her stirring around. Gozi was able to slightly glance up to see Asante hanging onto Hatari's face, biting her face and pulling on her ears and mane while Janja stood there, staring on shocked as the little striped hyena attacked Hatari.

"Don't just stand there you stiff, get it off!" Hatari demanded.

Janja snapped out of it before hastily nodding and ripping Asante off of Hatari's face.

"No! Let me go!" Asante protested.

Janja held Asante up by her scruff and stared at her, creepily grinning from ear to ear to try and scare her, but it didn't work.

"I heard correct earlier, Kion is your daddy and that makes Jasiri your mommy, right?" Janja asked.

Asante nodded, still staring fiercely into Janja's face.

"Well, I've been wanting to get revenge on your sugar daddy for so long for doing this to me…" Janja said, staring directly at Asante with his blind eye. "…and to get back at Jasiri for not picking me when I was the perfect mate for her, not that overbearing, redheaded, scar faced lion."

Janja pushed his face into Asante's, flattening her nose against her face.

"Now, I think I'll finally get back at both of them by killing you." Janja said.

Asante pulled her head back, opened her mouth and bit down on Janja's nose. Janja screamed and clutched his nose as soon as Asante let go. Asante than spat in Janja's face. Janja growled as he wiped the saliva off his face.

"For such a sweet little girl, you're not very nice, are you?" Janja said as he glared at Asante.

Janja set Asante down on the ground and held her down the same way Hatari was doing so with Gozi.

"I've taken enough crap from Kion and Jasiri, but now, that ends today!" Janja said.

As Janja said that, he heard a roar that was frightenly all too familiar to him. He looked up only to be hit by a strong, unnatural wind that sent him off Asante. As he was sent flying a few feet away, he saw Kion running through the battle field, where everyone had stopped fighting and was now staring on at him as he shot Janja with a precision shot of the roar, saving his daughter. Jasiri than came up and tackled Hatari off of Gozi. The two matriarchs went rolling for a bit, biting and clawing at each other before ending up on their paws and fighting face to face.

Hatari was larger and stronger than Jasiri, but Jasiri was faster and more refined, allowing her to basically dance around Hatari. Jasiri eventually delivered a savage bite to the side of Hatari's neck and one of her front paws, leaving both oozing warm blood and Hatari holding up her bit paw. Jasiri then delivered one of her signature kicks to Hatari's chest, sending her skidding across the ground, onto her back. Hatari pushed herself back onto her paws and retreated to Janja's side, with the rest of the clan grouping behind their leaders. Gozi's Lion Guard grouped up with Kion and Jasiri, soon joined by Kiara, Kovu, Umoja, Madoa, Cheezi, Chungu, and Kion's Lion Guard.

Janja stared at all the animals facing off against him and his new clan. His eyes laid on Cheezi and Chungu, who each had a foreleg wrapped around the others shoulder as they looked at Janja worriedly. Janja growled as he bared his teeth at the two hyenas who betrayed him nearly a year ago, foiling his plan to force Jasiri to become his mate. He almost went forward to attack them, but stopped because he knew it'd be dumb to rush at a bunch of animals, most of which could easily beat him and Madoa stood in front of Cheezi and Chungu, giving a Janja a warning glare and growl. Janja glared at Madoa before looking over her shoulder at Cheezi and dragged a claw across his throat.

Cheezi gulped as he drew his foreleg away from Chungu's shoulder and clutched his throat protectively. Chungu on instinct rubbed is nose against Cheezi's cheek and licked his neck affectionately to assure him that they wouldn't let Janja near him again. Seeing this, Janja stared at his two former seconds-in-command with a dumfounded look, having never seen them physically interact that way before.

"Other than Jasiri and Kion, what other wacked out relationships took place after I left?" Janja thought, jumping to the somewhat right conclusion.

As Janja was thinking that, Hatari viciously snarled at all the Pride Landers in front of her and her clan. Kiara stepped forward and glared at Hatari

"Hatari, I'm giving you and your clan one chance. If you don't want to face the consequences of your actions today, then as future queen, I demand that you leave the Pride Lands at once!" Kiara ordered.

"You do not rule me, lion." Hatari sneered.

Kion and Jasiri also stepped forward and stood beside Kiara.

"Well, you and your clan took up residence in the Outlands, that Kion and I rule. So, I believe we do rule you and as it's rulers, we command you to leave not just the Pride Lands, but the Outlands as well." Jasiri said.

Kion growled in agreement. Hatari glared and growled at Kion briefly before turning to Jasiri.

"You and your lion king don't rule me either, no one rules me. So, we're not taking orders, especially not from a lion ploughing kahaba like you." Hatari insulted.

Most everyone gasped at what Hatari had just called Jasiri while Jasiri herself and Kion growled angrily.

"Hatari, leave now or else." Kion warned.

"Or else what, you're going to roar at us?" Hatari questioned.

Kion shook his head.

"No, he is." Kion said as he looked back down at Gozi.

Gozi stared up surprised at is uncle for giving him the 'honor' or whatever you'd call it of using the Roar of Elders to roar an entire clan of bad hyenas out of the Pride Lands. Gozi hesitated for a moment since he hadn't been able to roar throughout the fight, but thought back to the story of his Uncle Kion and how he first discovered the roar. He roared once at Cheezi and Chungu to save Bunga and then when he tried to show the rest of his friends later that day, he hadn't been able to roar, but when Janja's clan attacked he was able to use it again for when he truly needed it, maybe it would be the same for him. Gozi stepped forward and prepared to use the roar. Everyone in Hatari's clan, except for Hatari herself, cowered, even Janja, despite knowing Gozi was unable to roar for whatever reason.

He hid behind the entire clan and protectively covered his head with his paws. When Gozi opened his mouth to let out the Roar of Elders, like before, nothing except a cub like squeak came out. All his friends and family behind him, looked at Gozi, mouths agape with shock while Hatari and her clan all laughed while Janja looked up and whistled in relief. Gozi tried roaring a couple more times that just ended in failure before he looked up to his uncle.

"Uncle Kion, I can't roar, why can't I roar?" Gozi frantically asked.

Kion just stared at Gozi, confused to why his roar wasn't working it. This was just like what had happened to him when he first discovered the roar. The first one always came when the cub was old enough and needed it most, a hidden instinctual reflex that always kicked in. After that, using the roar was as easy as walking and talking, so why wasn't Gozi able to use it now like he was after he first used it. Kion than thought back to a conversation he had with Rafiki after his first battle with Janja, asking him why the roar hadn't worked the second time he tried to use it when showing his friends.

When using the Roar of Elders, the leader had to focus and channel all their fierceness into it to make it work, but they also had to be confidante and believe in themselves and have a strong desire to do the good and right thing with it. It had made Kion understand why he hadn't been able to use it the second time he tried to use it. When trying to show his friends, he had put all his fierceness into it, but Fuli's prideful boasting, rude sarcasm and complaining about how lions were always lording over everyone and how she thought Kion thought he was something special just because he could roar had damaged his confidence back then, which had kept him from roaring. Kion realized that must be what Gozi's problem with the roar must have been. He reached down and placed a paw on Gozi's shoulder.

"Gozi, you got to focus and put all your fierceness into it. You gotta have confidence and believe in yourself." Kion said.

"Wha? But I do believe in myself." Gozi said.

"Are you sure about that!" Hatari shouted over from the rest of her clan.

Kion gave the hyena matriarch a quick glare before looking back down at his nephew.

"Just believe in yourself Gozi and don't use the roar just because you want to use it. Use it because you want to do the right thing and protect your homeland, friends, and family. That's how the roar truly works." Kion said.

Gozi nodded, understanding his uncle's words. Kion than pushed him back forward and Gozi tried to use the roar a couple more times with no success, which further frustrated Gozi. He was doing everything his uncle told him, focusing, putting any fierceness he had into it, being confidante and believing himself and wanting to use it for the good of his family, friends, and homeland, but it wasn't working. Gozi tried to look back towards his uncle, but as he turned, he spotted Asante staring directly at him and he stared right back at her. Asante looked around at everyone before she leaned slightly forward and whispered to Gozi.

"Gozi, remember what I said." Asante whispered. "Don't expect anything from anyone, except from me. Don't fear anything that happened with my dad happening to you and that you don't have to do this alone. I'll always be by your side to keep you safe and it's not just me whose behind you, we're all behind you."

After Asante said that, Gozi looked up at his uncle, aunt, parents, brother, and everyone else behind him. Gozi even looked up at the sky and to his great surprise, he saw the spirits of his great grandparents, Mufasa and Sarabi, even Sarafina and her mate. He also saw Askari and Scar's old Lion Guard members, he even saw Queen Janna of the Tree of Life and Rani's parents' spirits staring down at him.

"Gozi, it is your time Gozi." Gozi heard Mufasa's voice say.

"You are not alone in this Gozi." Sarabi's voice said.

"Find your inner strength Gozi." Sarafina's voice said.

"Find the great leader that you can be, like your uncle." Sarafina's mate's voice said.

"Do not fear the power of the roar Gozi." the voices of Scar's Lion Guard said.

"And don't fear others knowledge of you having it." Askari said.

"Don't let fear of what happened in the past with your uncle make you fear your own future little one." Queen Janna said.

"We're all behind you, Gozi, everyone is." Rani's parents' voices said.

"It is your time now Gozi, take it and just believe in yourself." all the spirits encouraged.

"Gozi, look out!" Asante's voice suddenly shouted.

Gozi snapped out of his trance and looked forward to see Hatari dashing towards him. She pounced with her paws outstretched and her bone crushing teeth bared, ready to maul Gozi. Gozi gasped in fright and without even knowing it, unleashed a precision Roar of the Elders that hit Hatari square in the chest, sending her flying back into her clan, who parted so she didn't collide with anyone. Hatari groaned as she painfully stood halfway up and looked towards Gozi.

"No! He just discovered the roar and I almost had him!" Hatari thought.

Back with Gozi, he stared forward, surprised that he had just used the Roar of Elders again and that he had used a complicated technique of it that took his uncle a couple months to discover. He looked back at everyone behind him, who stared in amazement at Gozi's roar.

"Wow." was all Gozi could say.

Kion gave his nephew a proud nod before encouraging him to use the roar again and to blast Hatari and all her clan away this time. Gozi nodded back before turning to face Hatari's clan, all of whom looked scared now. There was a fierce magical glint in Gozi's eyes as he started up a full blast Roar of the Elders. Everyone felt the wind pick up and saw the white clouds above gathering together, starting to morph into lion heads. Seeing this, Hatari's clan began to panic, remembering it from yesterday.

"Oh no, that kid is about to roar at us just like he did yesterday!" Kamari fearfully yelled.

"Not again!" Azizi yelled, fearfully clutching to Kamari, much to the latter's irritation.

Hearing this, Hatari's head instantly shot towards Kamari and Azizi. Hatari also heard other hyenas fearfully saying that they didn't want to be roared at again and some yelling at Gozi, begging him not to roar at them. That's when Hatari realized that her suspicions had been true from the very beginning. Janja had lied to her, Gozi and his brother hadn't escaped them yesterday by outrunning them, Gozi had roared at them.

"JanjAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Hatari angrily shouted as she glared back at Janja, stilling hiding in the back of the clan.

Janja poked his head out from the back of the clan and looked at Hatari, who was giving him a death glare. Unable to come up with any sort of excuse for what the clan said about yesterday and the roar, Janja just smiled nervously. Hatari viciously snarled as she ran towards Janja, the clan parting for her. Seeing Hatari running towards him with the intent to punish him for lying to her, Janja screamed like a little girl. However, Hatari didn't get the chance; just as she was about to reach him, Gozi finally unleashed his full Roar of the Elders that sent every hyena flying back into the Outlands, except Janja who dug his claws into the ground.

Janja was able to keep in place for a few moments before he lost his grip and was sent flying, but managed to grab onto a rock, which kept him from being blasted away with everyone else in the clan. When Gozi's roar finally stopped, Janja sighed as he eased his grip, but he wasn't completely out of harm's way as he looked to see Kion, Jasiri, Kiara, and Kovu approaching him. Janja growled as he slipped off the rock and faced the four animals in front of him, thinking they were gonna attack, but didn't.

"So, you're back." Kion said.

"Yeah, bet none of you suspected that you'd ever see me again, didn't ya?" Janja growled.

"Yes actually, I don't know why you would after what happened." Kovu said, glancing at Janja's back leg and eye.

"I came back to get revenge on all of you! Especially Kion and those two traitorous furbrains over there." Janja said, glancing over at Cheezi and Chungu again.

Jasiri stepped in the way of Janja's view of Cheezi and Chungu. Janja sneered as he looked at Jasiri.

"Jasiri." Janja huffed.

"I see you got a new clan Janja." Jasiri said.

"Yeah, and I'm mates with the clan's matriarch, Hatari. Unlike you, she sees the worth in me being her mate and the clan's chief." Janja said. "She actually respects me and has agreed to help me get my revenge on all of you."

"I can't believe you, Janja. I thought after what happened nearly a year ago, it would get you to fully open up and see the way you think is wrong, but you've only seemed to of become worse." Jasiri said.

"Oh yeah, well who are you to say the way I think is wrong? It's all a matter of perspective." Janja said. "And from my perspective, if you had just taken my offer to become your mate or hadn't used my feelings for ya to remedy your disappointment in not getting the chance to be with Kion when he got with Rani at first by acting flirtatious, none of this woulda happened. Instead you chose to just take pity on Kion when he was still boo hooing over what Rani did to him."

Jasiri growled at Janja's statement.

"I became mates with Kion because I loved him, not just because I took pity on him and how dare you say this is all my fault Janja. You did this to yourself because you couldn't accept that I didn't love you." Jasiri said.

Janja opened his mouth to say something, but Kiara came forward.

"Janja, you attack both my sons and my niece. Crimes like that in the Pride Lands are punishable by death, which is more reason why you should be subjected to Pride Lands law." Kiara said.

"Oh, and does that mean you all are finally gonna grow a pair and finally do me in?" Janja mocked.

Kion shook his head.

"No." Kion simply said.

Janja laughed at hearing this.

"Cowards." Janja insulted.

Kion however had a small smirk on his lips.

"Because Janja, I think it's an even better punishment to let you go back to your new clan and to Hatari." Kion said.

Janja immediately stopped laughing at the mention of Hatari.

"Because, when Gozi was about to roar at the clan and they were remembering being roared at yesterday out loud, Hatari seemed pretty surprised and angry to hear it. Could it be that Hatari wanted Gozi dead before he discovered his roar, you almost had him yesterday, but that's when he discovered his roar and you lied to Hatari about it?" Kion asked.

Janja fearfully gulped as Kion said that. His oldest enemy had put all the pieces together and knew exactly that Hatari would do stuff to him that would make him wish he was dead.

"Go on Janja, your beautiful mate's waiting." Jasiri encouraged.

Janja just shook away his fear and growled.

"Well guess what, I ain't going back without that kid's corpse, even if I have to drag my own back to Hatari." Janja yelled.

Gozi suddenly walked out from between his mom, uncle, and aunt and stared directly at Janja.

"You head my mom and aunt's offer to Hatari earlier Janja. Get out of the Pride Lands and Outlands now and you won't have to face the consequences for your crimes against both kingdoms, old and new." Gozi said.

Janja looked at Gozi and bared his teeth as he growled.

"Don't make me bust you up little man!" Janja warned.

Gozi and Kion looked at each other, each getting the same idea in their head. They gave each other a confidante grin and nodded. The two then turned towards Janja and both began to power up a roar together to create a Super Roar of the Elders to use against Janja. The clouds formed into many lion heads that all merged together into one massive super lion head that was bigger than the mountains. Janja stared fearfully up at the growling, mountainous lion head cloud with his jaw basically hitting the ground.

Gozi and Kion were about let loose their super roar on Janja, but before they could Janja ran off towards the Outlands, screaming like a little girl again.

"AHHH, AAAHHHHHH, AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! MOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMYYYYYY!" Janja shrieked as he ran.

Seeing and hearing this, Gozi and Kion laughed before turning to go back to the others, who were all laughing. As they got closer, they noticed Jasiri laughing the most, as she was rolling on the ground in a madly hysterical fit of laughter. Jasiri was laughing so hard to the point she was crying and clutching her stomach as her back legs kicked out.

"I, I, I, I, I, I can, I can't, I can't… my, my tummy, it, it, it hurts." Jasiri said as she tried to stop herself from dying of laughter.

"I didn't realize Janja had such a girly scream." Madoa said, laughing as well, though not as madly as her sister. "Did you Jasiri?"

Jasiri just shook her head in response, laughing through clenched teeth.

"Hay Janja, we're going to play Kion and Gozi says and Kion and Gozi says, scream like a sissy boy." Fuli joked.

"And when he shouted out for his mommy, that was priceless. I feel sorry for anyone who wasn't here to see it, because no one's gonna believe it." Bunga laughed.

When everyone had mostly gotten ahold of themselves, Gozi looked up at his parents, uncle, and aunt.

"That was a really good roar Gozi and not just the one you and I tried to do together." Kion complemented.

"Yeah, you really scared Janja out of his fur." Jasiri said.

"Was he always like that back then?" Gozi asked, still laughing.

"Oh, trust us Gozi, even when he was a challenge for us back then, he was just too easy." Kion said.

"Especially for me." Jasiri laughed.

"Yeah, all growl, no bite." Kiara commented.

As they finished talking, the five turned towards others, parents talking with their children and Mtoto and Ona talking with Beshte and Ono, Kweli included, all saying how great they did in fighting against Hatari, Janja, and their clan. They all than gathered around Gozi, saying how amazing he looked when he roared and how funny it was when he and Kion made Janja run off screaming. Umoja came up and high-pawed Gozi, saying the roar was just as cool as it had been yesterday, even more so since they in a way got payback for his injured leg, which got a laugh out of everyone. Umoja, still laughing, bowed to Gozi.

"I pledge allegiance to my awesome younger brother and the power for which he stands." Umoja joked, which got another laugh out of everyone.

Gozi appreciated all the complements he was getting, but he felt like someone deserved it more.

"Thanks, you guys and uh, girls. I really do appreciate it, but I think there is someone who deserves the praise even more; Asante." Gozi said, looking towards his striped hyena cousin.

Asante looked surprised when Gozi suddenly put her in the spot light when this was more of his big moment than hers.

"You all saw how I was back at the lair when faced with the Cave of Secrets." Gozi continued.

Gozi than looked towards his guard members.

"I had many doubts at first, not in any of you guys. You're all great and perfect fits for the Lion Guard." Gozi assured. "I was having doubts in myself, but after talking with Asante, I feel all better now, about everything. If there's anyone who deserves praise, it's her."

As per Gozi's wish, everyone looked more towards Asante and began to praise her for helping Gozi through this and for fighting so well in the fight, acting so brave, and for trying to save Gozi from Janja and Hatari. The young striped hyena just stared at everyone in surprise, so overwhelmed by all the praise that she was getting that she didn't notice the tears in her eyes. Kion and Jasiri both placed their paws over Asante's shoulders, Kion's paw alone covering up most of her tiny body.

"Yes Asante, well done. We're so proud of you." Jasiri said, smiling down at her adoptive daughter.

"We all are." Kion agreed.

Madoa, Cheezi, and Chungu came up to Asante and the three ruffled their adoptive and surrogate niece's head and hyena's mane with their paws.

"Ha, I wish Shabaha had been here to have seen this." Bunga said.

Kiara eventually spoke up, saying that they should head back to the lair and tell her parents, Vitani, Rafiki, Makini, Zazu, and the others about this. Everyone agreed and began to make their way for Pride Rock and the Lair of the Lion Guard. Kion and Jasiri however stayed back with Asante, wanting to talk to her privately for a moment.

"Asante." Jasiri addressed.

"Yes?" Asante asked, looking up at both her parents.

"We heard what you said." Kion said.

"Uh, heard me say what?" Asante asked, confused.

"'Gozi, remember what I said. Don't expect anything from anyone, except from me.'" Jasiri repeated.

Asante slightly gasped when she heard her mother repeat part of what she had said to Gozi when he couldn't roar.

"'Don't fear anything that happened with my dad happening to you…'" Kion repeated.

Asante looked at her father with the same amount of surprise she had when her mother first repeated part of what she had said. When she had whispered it to Gozi, she thought she had said it low enough so that only he could hear, but she should have thought better. Gozi was standing no more than five feet in front of her when she said it while her parents were basically shoulder to shoulder with her. Her parents than spoke together, finishing all of what she had whispered to Gozi.

"'…And that you don't have to do this alone. I'll always be by your side to keep you safe and it's not just me whose behind you, we're all behind you.'" Kion and Jasiri finished.

Asante continued to stare up in shock at her parents while the two of them continued to smile down at her.

"Asante, we think we might now have a clear idea of what was going on in Gozi's head." Jasiri said.

"But if it isn't too big of a secret between you two, can you tell us what he and you talked about?" Kion asked.

Asante thought for a moment if Gozi would be alright with her telling her parents about what they talked about. After thinking about it for a minute, Asante decided to tell her parents, trusting them to kept it secret between them as well. Asante looked around to make sure no one overheard them before she began to tell her parents what she and Gozi had talked about. She told them about how Gozi felt pressured into leading the Lion Guard because everyone expected him to take the responsibility and of tradition, how he thought he'd never be ready because he wasn't fierce or as gifted a fight as Kion, and how he didn't want the roar because he was worried about going through the same things he did with accidently summoning back some great evil or someone like Rani manipulating him to become their mate or something. She also told them about all she had said to Gozi that made him feel better about everything.

All the while, Kion and Jasiri sat there listening to everything their daughter said that Gozi was feeling and smiled, hearing about what she said that had made Gozi feel better about this whole thing.

"You know Asante," Kion spoke up when Asante finished explaining everything. "I think Gozi made a good choice in taking Busara's advice to make you the bravest member of the Lion Guard over her."

Asante smiled back up at her father.

"Yeah, I'm glad to." Asante said before she suddenly got a look of uncertainty on her face. "Though I don't feel like I fit the role of bravest perfectly since I'm not as brave as Busara or Uncle Bunga."

Jasiri laughed a little at hearing Asante say that.

"What are you, nuts?" Jasiri asked. "You showed a lot of bravery in the fight with Hatari and Janja's clan Asante. Did you forget how you jumped onto Hatari's face to stop her from snapping Gozi's neck and how you bit Janja's nose and spat in his face and showed no fear when he tried to scare you? Tell her Kion."

"Yeah, your mother is right Asante. You're just the animal Gozi needs for the Lion Guard and it's not just for bravery." Kion said.

"What do you mean by that dad?" Asante asked.

"Asante, being a member of the Lion Guard isn't just about being the fiercest, bravest, fastest, strongest, keenest of sight, or smartest. It's about what more you can bring to it and you bring something to the guard that's far better and more important than bravery." Kion said.

"What is it?" Asante asked eagerly.

"It's heart Asante." Kion said.

Asante smiled hearing her father say that.

"That's exactly what Gozi said." Asante joyfully shouted. "He said I had more heart than anyone else on the team and that I was a lot like mom in how I always seem to know what to say; Busara thought so to" Asante said.

Jasiri smiled hearing that her nephew and Busara had said that about her and her daughter.

"Yes Asante, Busara, Gozi, and your father are right about you having a lot of heart being better than having bravery exactly like Bunga. Because, while you're on the guard with Gozi, you'll be someone that Gozi can always count on and look to for some guidance just as much as us or the others or even the spirits of his ancestors. You're just someone who'd be invaluable to the team, the type of member that holds it together." Jasiri said.

"Yes, and you see Asante, that's something my team didn't have. We were all invaluable to the team, but none of us were really the singular individual that held us together unlike you and that shows just how special you are." Kion said.

Asante thought about what her parents said for a moment before smiling about it.

"You know, being the bravest isn't exactly one of the traits you need to look for in a Lion Guard member, because by just joining the guard itself shows that all members deserve to be called the bravest. So maybe you just need to look for someone with the most heart. So, even though I'm the bravest member amongst the new guard, I'm still going to be the best member of the Lion Guard with the most heart ever." Asante stated.

Kion and Jasiri smiled down at their daughter, proud to hear her say that. They both leaned down and lovingly nuzzled both of Asante's cheeks with their noses. Asante giggled as they did so and Kion and Jasiri laughed along with her.

When Gozi and Kion began to charge up their super roar, any bravery or arrogance that Janja had shown despite being faced with multiple Pride Landers instantly went away and he ran away screaming and even shouting for his mother. He didn't pay attention to where he was going, he just knew he had to get away before Gozi and Kion used their super roar on him. He ran for nearly half an hour before finally stopping to catch his breath. He bent over and panted for a couple minutes before he looked to see where he was. Janja immediately got scared once he realized that he was in the Outlands, where Gozi had roared Hatari and the rest of her clan at.

Janja fearfully gulped as he looked in every direction, down every trail, paranoid, wondering where Hatari and her clan were. He sniffed around to see if he could catch any of the clan's scent, thankfully there was none, which allowed Janja a small sigh of relief. Janja knew he had to get somewhere and hide so that Hatari wouldn't find him. He wasn't planning on running away from the Pride Lands and Outlands or anything, he still wanted revenge on Kion and the others. His plan was to hide out and sneak into the Pride Lands often until he found Gozi and killed him so that he could bring him to Hatari to hopefully appease her and convince her not to abandon him and continue to help him get his revenge.

Janja ran off to begin looking for a place to hide, however, he was almost immediately pulled to the side and screamed. Janja looked up to see it was Kamari and Azizi.

"Got you Janja!" Kamari said.

"Yeah, gotcha!" Azizi replied.

"Where, where are you taking me?" Janja asked as he struggled against Kamari and Azizi.

"To Hatari." Kamari answered.

Janja gasped at the mention of being taken to Hatari. Kamari and Azizi grinned at seeing the fearful look on Janja's face.

"Yeah, and Hatari is really mad at you for not telling her about the roar Janja." Kamari said.

"Yeah, she says you're in big, big trouble." Azizi said.

Janja fearfully whimpered like a dog as he thought of what Hatari might do to him. Kamari grinned as he thought of a way to further scare Janja.

"Oh, and a brutal beating is the least of your worries Janja, because I heard Hatari say she's going to rip your dick off and feed it to her brothers." Kamari lied.

Janja gasped at the thought of that and struggled against his two captors more fiercely, but still failed to get away. Janja looked ahead of Kamari and Azizi to see Hatari in front of the rest of the clan, glaring at him. Janja screamed, beginning to freak out as he continued to try and vainly break away from Kamari and Azizi. When they got close enough, Kamari and Azizi threw him in front of Hatari and blocked him from escaping. Janja looked up at Hatari and laughed nervously as he stood up.

"H-h-h-h-Hatari, now listen, I can explain." Janja began nervously. "I wasn't lying when I told you that I didn't know the kid had the roar. I was bringing the other cub, the one who eavesdropped on the others, back to you when the others suddenly landed on top of me from outta nowhere. It caused me to lose hold of the cub. I asked them if the cub had used the roar on them, but they said no. They had lost track of the cub and were coming back to me, but as they were, they all slipped and fell of the cli…"

Janja didn't get to finish as Hatari slapped him across the face.

"You think I'm gonna fall for that?" Hatari yelled so angrily at Janja that saliva flew into his face.

"No, but, but Hatari, I can still fix this. You saw and heard what that cub is like. He's not even half the lion that Kion was back in the day. If we ever find him alone or at least when that bulldozer of an elephant isn't with him and the rest of his guard, we can totally kill him next time." Janja optimistically tried to reason. "Errr, probably."

"Probably?" Hatari questioned. "You really lied to me?"

"Yeah, but we'll have another chance." Janja frantically continued to try and reason, but Hatari was having none of it.

"And after all I've ever done for you. You were the only male I ever saw worthy of becoming my mate and I took pity on you and choose to help you get your revenge when you told me your story Janja, but you choose to LIE to ME!" Hatari yelled. "How could you? No one lies to me!"

Hatari bared her teeth and dug her claws into the ground. Seeing this, Janja fearfully backed away and shook his head, but Kamari and Azizi pushed him back towards Hatari. Hatari reached out and wrapped her paws around Janja's neck and began to strangle him.

"I'm gonna kill you!" Hatari shouted.

"Gah! Ba- babe!" Janja croaked.

Kamari and Azizi laughed in delight as they saw this.

"Oh boy, this is it Azizi. We're finally going to be rid of that cyclops." Kamari said with excitement. "We'll finally be able to breath normally without his ugly mug contaminating the fresh air and we'll finally be back in Hatari's high regards."

"And this is getting payback for what he did to my ear." Azizi said, getting into Kamari's personal space.

Kamari growled and pushed Azizi away from him.

"Yo! Quiet standing so close to me, it's gonna ruin the moment." Kamari growled.

The entire clan watched as Hatari continued to strangle the life out of Janja. Hatari was just about to before she suddenly let go, allowing Janja to fall on the ground, massaging his neck. Everyone looked on, surprised that Hatari stopped choking Janja. Janja looked up at Hatari with a questioning look, also wondering why she stopped.

"You know, on second thought Janja, you don't deserve to get of that easy." Hatari said.

Janja quivered as Hatari said that, knowing that killing him for deceiving her would be a mercy compared to the living hell she'd put him through.

"I'll put it simply so that I don't have to waste my breath on you. You're back at the bottom of the clan's pecking order." Hatari said.

Janja gasped as Hatari said that, it was the worst possible thing she could have done to him. He looked around at the clan, noticing that Kamari and Azizi, who at first were disappointed that Hatari decided not to kill Janja, were now more excited than before now that he was demoted to lowest ranking member of the clan. Janja looked back up at Hatari, who grinned at chuckled at the scared look on his face before looking around at her clan.

"Just give me a few minutes with this lying, waste of fur and then you can all have a turn." Hatari said.

Fearfully, Janja backed away from Hatari until he was leaning against a rock. Shaking uncontrollably and whimpering like a dog, Janja stared fearfully at Hatari skulking towards him before she lunged at him, the Outlands feeling with Janja's screams and pleas for mercy and Hatari's clan laughing as they watched until it was their turn to as Hatari put it, 'play nice with Janja.'

Later that day in the Pride Lands, everyone who had witnessed the battle between Hatari and Janja's clan had made it back to Pride Rock. They told Simba, Nala, Vitani, Rafiki, Makini, Zazu, Timon, and Pumbaa about what happened and were proud to hear of it. Like it had been before, they began to congratulate Gozi until he told them to congratulate Asante instead. Without anyone asking, Gozi told everyone what had been bothering him and what Asante had said that helped and as per his request, everyone began to praise Asante for it even more. After that, Gozi went up to Kion and told him that he was sorry for saying he didn't understand what he was going through since he had during his time with fearing that he'd become like Scar with the roar.

Kion accepted his apology, saying that the role of leader of the Lion Guard brought fear of what happened with a previous Lion Guard leader with it. Since he had just revealed it to everyone, Kion told Gozi that Asante had told him and Jasiri about their conversation. He then assured Gozi that none of what happened to himself would happen to him as long as he remembered and had his friends by his side and that they looked after each other, which Gozi promised he wouldn't forget. Kion than one more time, offered Gozi the chance to wait until he was older to start leading the guard. Gozi accepted the offer this, but said that he'd like to start training in three months when he turned a year old, which Kion promised to help him with.

Gozi than asked if they should still take on the challenges of the Cave of Secrets. Kion said that he didn't think they had to since they had all shown today that they were a worthy Lion Guard. After that, they gathered up the Pride Landers and Outlanders, introducing them to the new Lion Guard, which everyone cheered for, well mostly the Pride Landers, Jasiri's clan, and part of Reirei's pack, and Reirei, who was cheering more for her granddaughter than the Lion Guard as a whole. During the celebration, Timon was riding on Pumbaa down among the animals, playing a lute made of sticks and blades of grass while singing a song he had made in dedication to Asante and good hyenas as a whole.

"Toss a bone to your hyena. O' Valley of Plenty. O' Valley of Plenty. Oh, oh, oh! Toss a bone to your hyena. O' Valley of Plenty! At the edge of the Pride Lands, fight the mighty clan that bashes and breaks you and brings you the 'morn. She thrust every hound far back on the shelf, far out in the Outlands from whence they came. She wiped out your pest, got kicked in her chest. She's a friend of the Pride Lands, so give her the rest. That's my epic tale, a champion prevailed, defeated the villain, now hunt her a meal. Toss a bone to your hyena. O' Valley of Plenty. O' Valley of Plenty. Oh, oh, oh. Toss a bone to your hyena, a friend of the Pride Lands! Toss a bone to your hyena. O' Valley of Plenty. O' Valley of Plenty. Oh, oh, oh. Toss a bone to your hyena, a friend of the Pride Lands!" Timon sang.

Pumbaa however pointed out that he was embellishing the facts, making it seem like Asante was the only one important, especially during the fight and where was the respect for Gozi and his other guard members. Timon replied that respect doesn't make history and that Asante was in a way the most important anyway for helping Gozi to find his confidence to lead the Lion Guard and not be scared of the Roar of Elders, and for saving him from Hatari and Janja, but assured that he was also working on songs in dedication to the other members of Gozi's guard, Busara included. After the celebrations everyone returned home, except for Kion and Jasiri, who stayed so that they could escort Asante home when she was done playing with her friends. The sun soon started to set and it was getting dark, causing Kion and Jasiri to tell Asante that it was time to go home. When they got back to the den near the watering hole, Asante was warmly greeted by the entire clan.

She ran up to Madoa, Cheezi, Chungu, Wema, and Tunu and hugged every single one of them along with the other members of the clan. The entire clan gathered together to eat from the carcass of the antelope Madoa, Nne, Wema, and Tunu had caught earlier today. With the adrenaline of today's fight with Hatari and Janja's clan only just starting to wear off, Asante realized how hungry she was since she hadn't eaten since early morning. Once they were all finished eating, everyone began to turn in for the night. Madoa, Nne, Cheezi, Chungu, Wema, and Tunu all came up to Asante and kissed her good night before going to their sleeping spots.

Kion laid down on his side enough for Jasiri to lay her head against his belly, which was still slightly chubby from when Jasiri first laid on head on it, maybe a slightly bit chubbier than it was back then, it was barely noticeable. Asante climbed and settled into the crook of one of her father's forelegs and snuggled against his fluffy, bright red mane. Kion smiled down at his daughter and scratched her chest with a single claw before kissing her and then Jasiri, who in return kissed him and Asante. The three wished each other a good night before going to sleep or at least two of them did. Kion and Jasiri fell asleep within a couple minutes while Asante was still awake.

Unlike most cubs, Asante wasn't really the type who liked staying up late usually, she was an early to bed, early to rise type. She usually had no trouble falling asleep, even with her father's deep snoring, but for some reason she couldn't this time and was still up ten minutes after her parents had fallen asleep. Asante tossed and turned in her father's foreleg, unable to fall asleep. Asante got up and went over to lay with her mother, who was also snoring, but very softly compared to Kion. Asante laid down next to Jasiri, hooking her head over her forelegs and tried to fall asleep, but was still unable to.

She got up after a couple minutes and began running laps around her parents, hoping to tire herself out. This went on for another ten minutes, yet she still didn't feel tired. Asante sighed and went up to her mother. Asante placed her tiny paws against Jasiri's cheek and began to try and stir her awake.

"Momma. Momma wake up." Asante urged quietly.

Jasiri stirred slightly, but didn't wake up. Asante groaned in annoyance and began pushing harder while also gently tugging on Jasiri's ear.

"Mom, momma, wake up." Asante urged a little louder.

This succeeded and Jasiri woke up and looked sleepily at Asante.

"Asante…" Jasiri said before yawning. "…what are you still doing up, how long have I been asleep?"

"Almost half an hour and I've tried to fall asleep, but I can't." Asante said.

Jasiri yawned again before looking down at her daughter with smirk.

"Why, daddy's snoring?" Jasiri asked, glancing over at Kion, remembering the first nights they slept together and how she had trouble falling asleep because of his snoring.

Asante shook her head.

"No, I just don't feel tired enough to fall asleep. I even did laps around you and dad for about ten minutes and I still don't feel tired." Asante explained.

Jasiri looked at her daughter strangely, wondering how she could have trouble sleeping until she realized what it must have been. Before they ate earlier, Asante had said she wasn't hungry, but Kion pointed out that it had been the adrenaline talking, which did ware off enough for her to start eat a bit. Jasiri guessed than Asante might still have a lot in her and it was making her unable to get to sleep. Jasiri took a moment to smile down at her daughter before crawling forward a little bit. She grabbed hold of Kion's head and shook him awake.

"Eah? What, what's going on?" Kion asked, shocked at having been woken up rudely.

Jasiri gently shushed Kion before whispering in his ear. Asante tried to get in on what her mother was whispering to her father, but Jasiri noticed and used one of her back paws to gently push her away as she gave her a mischievous look and shook her head. So, Asante just sat back and waited for her mother to finish whatever she was whispering to her father. When she was finished, they both looked down at her, smiling as they interlocked their paws to form a swing for Asante or hammock in this case. Asante instantly jumped into her parent's paws and they gently began to rock the young striped hyena.

Asante closed her eyes and just enjoyed the slow, rhythmic rocking of her parent's paws.

"Sisi ni Sawa, we're the same." Kion and Jasiri suddenly began to sing.

Asante's eyes shot open and she looked up in the faces of her parents smiling down at her.

"At the end of the day, it's like water and rain." Kion and Jasiri continued to softly sing.

"Sisi Ni Sawa, we are the same." Asante softly sang the next line along with them.

"Maybe I laugh." Jasiri sang.

"Maybe I purr." Kion sang.

"But take a look under the fur, deep in our heart is what matters for sure. 'Cause we know a higher call like every creature big and small. The Circle of Life should be what's guiding us all. The Circle of Life will guide us all. Sisi ni Sawa means we're the same." both sang.

"Though I got my spots." Jasiri sang.

"And I have my mane." Kion sang.

"At the end of the day, it's like water and rain. Sisi ni Sawa, we are the same. Forget about the past when there's nothing to gain. At the end of the day, it's like water and rain. Sisi ni Sawa, we are the same. Sisi ni sawa, we're the same. Sisi ni Sawa, we are the same." Jasiri and Kion sang. "And we are of the same clan."

Kion and Jasiri continued to gently rock Asante and sing that song to her until she finally fell asleep.

"Finally asleep." Kion sighed.

"I knew singing that song while rocking her would help." Jasiri said.

Kion softly laughed as he looked at Jasiri and stared into her eyes, which she did right back to him as they continued to rock Asante. As they did, Kion couldn't help but think of everything that had happened for the past nearly two years. He had been happily married to Rani until he found out about her true feelings. After that, Kion thought that he would never find love or even happiness again, but thankfully after many trials and tribulations he had. Now, he was mates with Jasiri and they had a beautiful daughter that was now part of the next generation's Lion Guard.

Kion's new love and family life was a strange one with him being a lion, his mate being a spotted hyena, and their child being a striped hyena, but he didn't care. They were happy together and everyone else was happy for them as well and most importantly, Sisi ni Sawa, they were the same and that their love would without a doubt last forever. So overwhelmed with emotion, Kion suddenly began to cry.

"What's wrong?" Jasiri asked, concerned for her mate.

"I'm just… happy is all. About everything." Kion said.

Jasiri lightly laughed joyfully.

"Well, stop it! You're about to make me cry." Jasiri said.

"Too late, you already are." Kion pointed out.

Jasiri flicked out her tongue to lick her cheek and sure enough she could feel something wet and salty tasting near her eye. Jasiri than playfully snapped at Kion, trying to bite him.

"You jerk, now look what you did!" Jasiri playfully scolded.

Kion and Jasiri just laughed before they kissed each other. They then gently set Asante down on the ground before laying back down themselves. They circled their heads in front of Asante and touched their noses together so that they could gaze into each other's eyes.

"I love you." Kion told Jasiri.

"I love you to." Jasiri replied.

Jasiri watched Kion slowly close his eyes before closing her own and they both fell back asleep with Asante.

THE END...

...But there's still the bonus chapter coming at some point, so keep an eye out for that. Anyway that's it for the main story, it began with Kion alone and unable to get to sleep and ends with him and his loved ones and is able to get to sleep easily and him helping someone do so as well. Gozi has his roar and has plans to start training to be the best Lion Guard leader he can be in a few months, Asante is told she'll bring something better than bravery into the Lion Guard, Janja is back at the bottom of the totem pole in Hatari's clan and he only has himself to blame for where he is now in life. The power of the Roar of Elders always seemed to play off the emotions of those who use it and I wanted to expand on how it's used, like with how Kion couldn't use it when he tried to show his friends after asking them to join the Lion Guard, kinda like how it rebounds back at the user when used in anger, and how apparently snake venom makes the user unable to control the roar, which is a plot device I didn't agree with in season 3 since it was going too far into the magical area for my taste personally and seemed like a cheap way to get Kion out of the Pride Lands for the second movie. If anyone is wondering what exactly Hatari called Jasiri, when she called her a "Kahaba" Hatari called Jasiri a whore is Swahili. That song Timon sings is a parody I made of the song Toss a Coin to Your Witcher from Netflix's The Witcher series, another one of those things that just randomly came to my mind weeks ago and I decided to try fitting it into the chapter as I was editing it and I think I did well on it.

Well, that's it for now until the bonus chapter everyone, which I'm not gonna give any specific hints on what it'll be about, but I will say that it will answer a couple unanswered questions and I briefly and vaguely mentioned it at some point. Before you all go, I want to ask you to please answer some questions like I did in the Scarred Pride, I probably should have saved them for after the bonus chapter, but it's just that, a bonus chapter that I could honestly upload as a separate one shot fanfic connected to this, but I'm not gonna and just upload it onto this story when it's ready, but I'm just dragging it out here, here are the questions:

1# Who was your favorite canon character in this story and why?

2# Who was your favorite OC character in this story and why?

3# Which character did you hate more for their actions, Rani for manipulating Kion and being the catalyst for everything that happened, Janja for not letting go of his anger and jealousy towards Kion and letting it control his actions, or maybe even Hatari and her clan just for being worse than any other bad hyena we've seen in the LK/LG universe.

4# Which chapter was your favorite and why?

5# Which chapter was your least favorite and why? Please don't be too savage.

6# Do you think I balanced seriousness and humor well in this story to not make it too depressing and what funny moment was your favorite?

7# Just so we all can go back and laugh on it later, what do you think the bonus chapter will be about? Come on, I want to hear your theories.

Alright everyone, see you all whenever the bonus chapter is coming out. I don't plan for it to be very long and I don't like to make promises, but if I had to give a rough time frame, I'd say it'll probably be out before the end of this month or within the first half of next month, but don't take my word on it. Just keep your eyes out for it and all I can say, it'll come when it will, but until than, good day/night, please don't forget to review and answer those questions, continue to stay safe out there, and God bless.
