Aggressively ,she wiped her tears off her face as she turned to face Eve and Caleb. "You bastards have caused enough pain. You hurt my friend, you hurt my husband but you crossed the line going after my daughter and now I'm going to make you pay!" Eve squeezed her hand as Lucy's body started acting against her. "Haha, cocky words for someone whose body I'm controlling now Haha" laughed Eve. Lucy however was not going to be controlled this time as she pushed herself forward once and then again. "What the hell, why are you able to move yourself, I'm controlling your body" She squeezed her hand again causing Lucy pain but she still pushed herself to move. Every instinct in Natsu's body was telling him to help her but he decided against them. Someone had to protect Nashi and he thought she was doing what she needed to do as he watched intensively. Bravely with confidence she stuttered saying "I'm able to...move because I'm not a mindless .. we aren't like other people you guys have conquered. We are Tail..and don't..don't give up. You can control those who aren't strong enough to fight back. The thing is I've already been through this shit once before.." Eve and Caleb glared at her as voice got more cockiness to it. "Your bitch master Lilyanna already put me through hell once..AND I'M NOT GOING THROUGH IT AGAIN!"she screamed as she took the dagger from her pant leg.
Approaching Eve,in a very dark voice "you made a mistake when you even thought of involving my child in your scheme. Now I'm going to make sure you don't come after us ever again" She raised the dagger up. "LUCY DONT!" Natsu begged realizing what she was going to do but he couldn't stop her as Lucy plunged the dagger right into Eve's heart. He quickly covered Nashi's eyes in time. Eve grimaced in pain as she pushed until Eve started sliding to the floor. Taking the blade out of Eve,with her hand in blood, she spun it in her hand and threw it directly at Caleb who didn't even notice until it was too late. It hit directly into his heart as he fell to the ground. Lucy had a cold look in her eyes as she watched Caleb fall. She felt no mercy for them as she looked back at Eve. Gray,Happy, and Natsu were speechless as they stared at her. " " Happy stuttered nervously. She walked over to Natsu and Nashi while he didn't say a word as he moved aside letting Lucy hug Nashi. "Mommy!" she cried as Lucy cooed "hey baby girl"as she rubbed Nashi's back while hugging her. "Does she realize?" Gray thought. "That she killed them" Natsu thought to himself as he watched Lucy smile at Nashi.
"This is going to come back to haunt her" Natsu thought grimly then grunted in pain as his shoulder sent a shock of pain through him. "Let's get you and Erza home" urged Lucy as she picked Nashi up in her arms. "Gray, you got Erza?" she asked. "Yup, I got her" he told her as he put her onto his back. "Let's get home" said Lucy as Happy said "Aye!" They left the castle with Lucy and Happy leading the way as Natsu and Gray hung back watching Lucy. "Natsu." "I know Gray,..trust me I know, let's get Erza home first..then I'll worry about that" "You too you idiot, your arm is half covered in blood" Natsu made an amused sound as they continued the walk in silence
Once they got to Magnolia, the first stop they made was the infirmary where Erza was immediately placed into a room where Wendy began healing her. Once she was done, Wendy said "she will still need a day here to recover" They all nodded their heads understanding. "Now let's check out your shoulder"said Wendy as she had Natsu sit down and remove his vest to see a deep wound in his right shoulder. "Jeeze Natsu, what did you do this time?" "Ha had an axe thrown at me" "How" Natsu cut her off saying " It was to protect Iggy" Wendy opened and closed her mouth not needing to say anymore. She lightly smiled as she got to healing his shoulder. After a few minutes, she put the vest back on him and said "you are good to go Natsu" He hopped up from the chair and said "thanks Wendy" patting her on the head. "It was no problem" she said as her cheeks turned pink. They all left the infirmary when Gray said "now what?" "Let's go to the guild" Natsu said in a clear voice. "You sure?" Gray said. Letting out a breath, Natsu calmly said " I dont blame anyone for thinking bad and if I don't then neither should any of you" he said glancing back at them specifically Lucy who wasn't looking directly at him. " Lucy, did you hear me?" She still wasn't looking. "Lucy" snapping her head at him. "Yes, I heard and alright i forgive them..if you can,then I can too" he let out a small sigh of relief as he changed his tune and happily said " come Nashi, time to make you an official member"
Nashi's eyes turned big in excitement. "Do you mean!" "Yup, your going to get your own guild mark baby girl" "YIPPEEEE!" she cheered loudly as she jumped into Natsu's arms as he started laughing making Gray and Lucy smile. Happy was glad as well. "Come on" he urged joyfully as he with Nashi in his arms started running to the guild. They busted through the doors as Natsu went "hey guys" cheerfully. Everyone got bright happy faces on them as they saw Nashi was with him. "HEY!" they all cheered in excitement. "Where's gramps?"he asked. "Right here Natsu" said Makarov as he approached them. "Gramps, we have to induct a new member" he said proudly as he lifted Nashi. "Oh well then,let's get to it" he said ecstatic."What color do you want sweetheart?" Makarov asked Nashi. "RED" she answered full of joy. "Mira, bring over the stamp" "Right away" she answered as she ran to get it. She came back a minute later and handed him the stamp. "Alright Natsu, set her down" He set her down on the table as everyone gathered around. "Alright Nashi, where do you want it?" "Right here!" she pointed to below her right shoulder.
She turned her head as she pointed "for my hero" she smiled a warm smile as she looked at Natsu who had tears brimming his eyes as he quickly tried to brush them off before anyone noticed. There were a few light hearted laughs as some saw before he wiped them away. "Alright Nashi, here you go" said Makarov as he pressed down and a red Fairy Tail emblem was on her arm. Natsu picked her up and threw her into the air. She was giggling hysterically as she screamed " I'M A PART OF FAIRY TAIL!" Everyone cheered right along with her. She came back down as Natsu hugged her lovingly as she quietly said " I love you daddy" " I love you too Nashi" he returned. "Mommy,come here!" she said as her and Natsu had their hands out. Smiling she walked over as Natsu and Nashi pulled her into them hugging her. He kissed the tops of their heads as he held them.
A whole day passed as Erza had recovered and was back at the guild like she had been never been injured in the first place. "Man you would never know she had been stabbed by a sword" Macow said amused. "Come on man, you know of all things a sword can't bring her down" replied Wacoba. "Now now gentlemen, I'm not invincible" said Erza in light humor overhearing them. They laughed as the guild was back to normal as least as far as they were concerned. Natsu and Gray had their usual spat and now were sitting. "Hey, has it hit her yet?" Gray asked Natsu quietly. Lucy was busy talking to Levy so the boys were sitting by themselves. He nodded his head no as he put down the plate of food he was eating. Wiping his mouth he said " nope it hasn't impacted her yet but I know it's coming" "I still can't believe she did that" Natsu breathed heavily as he said "unfortunately..I acted the same way back when it was just me and Lucy..which is exactly why I hoped she would never have to do that. Lucy isn't a killer and she just killed two people. This is going to kill her when it hits" "We will be here when it does" promised Gray. Soon after a while Lucy had come over and sat between them.
They were all talking as Happy was sitting on the table in front of them. Nashi was playing with Asca and laughing. Lucy had into something when a drink got knocked into her hands. "Oops, sorry Lucy" somebody said but Lucy wasn't paying attention as she looked immediately down at her hands trembling. "Here we go" thought Natsu as he quickly put an arm around her and whispered into her ear "come on,let's go outside" Squeezing her shoulder, she very shakily got up with Natsu as Gray and Happy didn't say anything. Lucy stumbled but Natsu caught her before anyone noticed. Natsu put a hand over her mouth tight as it took everything in her not to cry out. "come on baby" he whispered urging her forward for as soon as they stepped outside the guild, he turned them with his left arm over her mouth as he had them sit away from the guild. Immediately she cried into his arm for he was keeping it there to muffle her crying so nobody would hear and wonder what was wrong.
There was absolutely no way anyone could feel or help with what she was going through. Even Natsu couldn't comfort her the way he wanted too for the pain of killing someone was something the person had to work through on their own. "Naaatsuuuuuu, Naa..ts.. " she couldn't bring herself to say the words as she screamed into his arm. "I know Luce, that's why I wanted you to stop before you did it. I never wanted you to carry that burden. Unfortunately I couldn't and you know I've been in that situation. They are still in my head every day" "Natsssu" she cried. Taking her face and cupping it gently,he looked at her and said "Luce, there's nothing I can say that will take away the pain your going through right now but I will say this, you did not kill needlessly. Those two were not innocent victims by any means" " .ddd you , . all those people?" she sobbed.
Closing his eyes for a moment and letting out a breath, he re opened them and said honestly but not harshly "you learn to live with it every day. It's not easy, honestly sometimes the only reason I woke up was because of you two. But you can do it Lucy,one day at a time and eventually, it won't be as hard to live with" he finished as he was rubbing her cheek. Processing all of it, she put her face back into his arm and continued to cry. " I am so sorry baby" he put both his arms around her and squeezed. "Cry as long as you want" he said comfortingly to his reason for living and now she was in unimaginable pain for something she would never be able to take back. He knew all too well what she was going through for taking not just one but two lives let alone all the lives he took as the dragon demon so he had no problem sitting there as long as he needed too for her. It was going to take a long time for this pain to leave her.
