"Hi Guys, these past couple of weeks have been a disaster so I haven't had time to write. My girlfriends moving and I'm traumatized, I'm hoping writing will take my mind off of it. I dedicate this chapter to our three years. I could also use some reviews, those always lift up my spirits.

Bella's POV:

"Hey Eric"

"Hi Bella" he replied enthusiastically.

"Edward," he said, slightly colder.

"I'm sorry but I don't know your names"

"I'm Mike, Newton," said the blond one, I recognized him, he had Biology with me and Edward. He seemed sweet, he was always friendly even if I gave him a cold glare.

"Jessica," the one to his right said, "I've seen you in P.E. you've got a great spike" I blush remembering how she was referring to the one time this year my hand came in contact with a ball. It came flying at me and I threw my hands out, trying to hit it back to them and ended up hitting someone in the back of the head, Mike! I suddenly placed the figure.

"Yeah, sorry about that" I apologized to the both of them. Jessica giggled with her ponytail swinging.

"What? Oh, no no no that was nothing"

"Angela, we have-"

"Biology" she smiles. I start to feel suspicious that they know, though of course, they do, Eric would have told everyone, that probably why no one at the table yet has asked about her cannula. Why they were being so nice, usually, people would dislike and off me after how I ignore and disregarded their presence on the first day, they were being to...nice. I of course knew the answer, no one ever makes fun, or is rude to, the girl with cancer.

"Ben" the Asian one simply says, I wondered what his ethnicity was.

"Tyler Crowly" I remembered him, he almost hit me with his car once, he was sliding on the ice, but just missed me. he had to go to the hospital after that. I snuck away before anyone could think to put me in a neck brace. It hadn't touched me at all but it did put a small dent in the back of my car. His car was totaled though.

"Lauren Mallory," one girl says nonchalantly, showing her disease to me but also trying to seem like she cares to others.

" It's nice to meet you all," I say and smile, and it was quite genuine.

"I need to use the restroom, I'll be right back," Edward said as he was already out of his chair.

We eat lunch and I try to join in the conversation, Jessica and Angela started talking about doing a feature for the newspaper and I lost interest in joining their conversation. I focus in on Mike and Eric, "La Push Baby" said Eric, emphasizing push.

"What's La push?" I ask

"La Push Beach, down the Quileute explains, " Mike explains.

"Yeah, there's a big swell coming in" Jessica adds.

"And I don't just search the internet" Eric Jokes while tilting his body back and forth, poorly mimicking the action of trying to balance on a surfboard.

"Eric you stood up once, and it was a foam board" I bit my lip to hold back my laughter.

"But there's whale watching too you should come with us" Angela continued.

"La Push, baby. It's La Push" He continued to emphasize "push".

"Okay, I'll go if you stop saying that," I said, while popping the lid open to my lemonade.

"Seriously, dude, it's creepy," Mike says.

"What? That's what it's called" Eric retorts.

"I should probably head to my next class," I said, seeing there were only ten minutes left and I still had to get my gym clothes and change.

"Oh crap," Jessica said and quickly grabbed her lunch tray to throw it away.

iI started to exit as Mike ran up to me, "What's your next class?"

"I'm headed to the gym" he seemed both surprised and thrilled.

"That's my next class too, how come I've never seen you there?"

"I tend to stick to the bleachers," I said as I walked along the off-white corridors as swiftly as I could without falling flat on my face. Most everyone was already in class so the school corridor felt incredibly eerie being empty. I dragged the tips of my fingers along the bumpy walls, wondering how many germs were now multiplying on my fingers and where they end up later.

"Oh right, I forgot for a second, Eric told us earlier that you had.."

"Cancer. That's the one good thing about it, at my old school P.E. was mandatory for two years here you have to do all four. Forks is like my personal hell, but at least I get out of the exercise."

"Yeah" I stopped outside the Men's bathroom closest to the cafeteria.

Edward walked out just seconds later.

"Edward," I said.

"Bella" I managed to blink and stare at the bizarrely beautiful boy in front of me, I felt so strange knowing how much him saying my name affected me. How much it meant to me. My cheeks heated and I felt I should look away but I was lost in his eyes.

"Why don't we just... hang out?" I asked, and he just smirked.

"Everyone's going to the beach" I continued.

"Come. I mean.. have fun"

"Which beach?" Did it matter they were all cold and wet, they were all the same? I firmly believe beaches should be warm and dry.

"La Push"

"I don't know," he said, then he casually slipped his arm around my waist.

"Is there something wrong with that beach?" I asked.

He inhaled deeply and look away before he responded, "It's just a little crowded."

I could feel my eyebrows involuntarily raise at him.

The beach was completely empty, except for some of the teens on the reservation on the other side of the beach.

Mike started a fire on the beach, he started telling me about the color of the flames and I just nodded and smiled like I was listening.
