Chapter 17
Clark walked into Watchtower and looked around, he smiled when he saw Chloe sitting at the computer. He knew he would have a lot of questions to answer for her but he didn't care. He and Lois had spent the night at her apartment so she could head into the Planet and he could catch up with Watchtower duties.
"Well well well, look what the cat dragged in." Chloe said with a smirk when she noticed him enter.
"Yeah yeah, I don't want to hear it." He said with a grin.
"So any Kent babies to report?" Chloe asked standing up to give her best friend a hug.
"Um I'm not sure, we really didn't talk about it." Clark said, could Lois be pregnant, they had made love more than a lot in the last few days.
"Wasn't the point of this um arrangement, what exactly are we calling this?" Chloe asked.
"It's a marriage." Clark emphasized the word marriage. "And we didn't talk about it because we otherwise occupied, and that's all I'm saying." Clark said.
"That's alright Lois will tell me everything later." Chloe teased and Clark just rolled his eyes. "Anyway you picked a good week to go off the grid, things have been pretty slow. Bruce was looking for you though, he asked that you stop by the manor when you get a chance. And no I didn't tell anyone where you really were, I just said you had some business of a non-dangerous kind."
"Good, um that's actually one thing I want to talk about now that Lois is my wife and she knows everything about me, I want to find out what the group thoughts would be about Lois being in on their identities. You and I both know she would keep everyone's secret." Clark said.
"They trust you Clark and your instincts and you, myself and Oliver can vouch for her, but some might not want to reveal themselves." Chloe said.
"I will honor everyone's wishes." Clark said. "I'm going to head to Gotham now." With a burst of wind he was gone.
Wayne Manor.
Clark stopped in the bat cave with a whoosh and saw Bruce sitting, in plain clothes, at his arrangement of computers.
"And where the hell have you been?" The billionaire asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Getting married." Clark said taking a seat next to him.
Bruce snorted. "Fine, don't tell the truth."
"No really, I got married." He held his hand up to show Bruce the ring.
The normally stoic man's eyes widened slightly. "Are you serious? Who did you marry?"
"Lois Lane, well I guess you would say Lois Lane-Kent now." Clark said.
"Lois Lane as in your work partner who you haven't been able to shut up about since the time I met you?"
Clark nodded. "Congratulations, I think." Bruce said holding his hand out to shake Clarks.
"Thanks, I actually wanted to talk to you about something. Lois knows my secret and she knows Oliver's too. I would like to be able to tell her about the League if people are ok with it." Clark asked.
"So you want to tell your wife, who happens to be one of the most successful reporters in Metropolis my secret identity?" Bruce asked.
"Not if you don't want me to," Clark said. "But reporter or not, Lois is the most trustworthy person I know."
Bruce was quiet for a moment, "Normally I would say your judgment is based on a pretty face and other body parts, but since she has a record of being discrete I'll trust that, you can tell her."
"Thanks Bruce." Clark said. If Bruce agrees than chances the rest of the League would probably follow.
"Hey Clark, have you told Oliver that you and Lois are married?" Bruce asked.
"No, you and Chloe are the only team members who know. Why?" Clark asked.
Bruce wasn't one to gossip or get involved in people's business but if it affected the team he should speak up, and Clark was probably the closest thing to a friend he had, besides Alfred who was more family.
"Look, Oliver has been talking a lot recently about Lois. I think he is considering starting things back up with her. It might not be real pretty when he finds out she is off the market. She is off the market right? Cause the league can't afford any squabbling over a woman, no offense to Lois, I'm sure she is a very nice girl." Bruce said.
Clark thought about what he said, "She's off the market, no doubt. Thanks for the heads up."
"Hey Clark"Bruce called out before he whooshed off, "You should have told me you were getting married,
I could have thrown you one hell of a bachelor party." He said with a smirk.
"I have no doubt about that." Clark said with a nod and was gone in a blink of an eye.
Daily Planet
Lois grabbed her mug when she noticed it was empty, she sighed. She glanced up at Clark's empty desk and a smile crept on her face. She leaned back and examined her wedding band set. These last few days had been incredible. She had talked to Perry earlier and he had given her the speech about personal lives affecting work lives and yada yada yada. He then had given her a hug and congratulated her for finding a guy like Kent. She smiled thinking she had done pretty good marrying a guy like Clark. She glanced up when someone knocked on her office door.
"It's open."She called out and smiled when she saw her good friend Oliver Queen standing in the doorway.
"Ollie" she said getting up to give him a hug. "Boy do I have news for you." She said with a grin.
"Hey Legs,"Oliver said hugging her back. "I've been looking for you for the past days I have something important to talk to you about."
"Well come in, sit down. We can share our big news together." Lois gestured for him to take Clark's seat.
"What's up?"
Oliver sat for a minute and gathered his thoughts, "Look Lois there is no easy way to say this so I'm going to just come and say it. Lois I'm still in love with you and I think what we had can be found again, even better now. I have this conference I have to go to for Queen Industries in Florida next weekend. I rented a private house, we can lay out by the pool, you in a tiny bikini or not." He grinned."I mean it Lois I think you and I are meant for each other and I know deep down you know it too." He looked at her shocked face.
"You are being really quiet." He said nervously.
Lois stood up and walked to look out her window. Years ago she would have killed for this moment but not now. She realized her heart truly belonged to Clark Kent. She turned to face him.
"Um Oliver, God I don't want to hurt you but you and I were good once yes, and I could never regret the time we had together but it's over." Lois said feeling awful.
"Why?"Oliver asked standing up to walk closer to her. "Lois don't be afraid of this, of us. Give us another shot, please." He begged.
Lois felt the tears fill in her eyes because of what she was about to do. She held up her left hand, rings glistening in the sunshine. "Oliver, I'm married. That's where I've been this week, on my honeymoon. I'm
so sorry Oliver."
Oliver stepped back in shock he couldn't stop staring at her hand. "Who, how I mean when?" he stuttered out.
"About five days ago." Lois said, "And I married Clark." She said.
"Clark?"Oliver practically spat out. His so called friend just married the woman he loved?
"Ollie you have to admit this was coming." Lois tried to be gentle. "Clark and I have been dancing around each other for years."
Oliver shook his head still in shock. He had noticed how close Clark and Lois had become but he always passed it off as a close friendship. "So you just get married, you don't date?" he asked incredulous.
Lois smiled softly, "I was the one who rushed the time table, not Clark I persuaded him to see things my way."
Oliver felt a rage stirring in his stomach, Clark freaking boy scout Kent just took what Oliver valued most.
"Lois, Clark is a liar there is so much about him you don't know."
Lois felt her stomach drop at his anger, she also heard what he was saying. Surely he wouldn't just spill Clark's secret? Sure she already knew but he didn't know that. Clark had talked about the League and the trust they had for one another, surely Oliver wouldn't throw that away in an angry tantrum?
"Oliver stop." Lois said.
"No, you need to know who and what Clark Kent truly is. He isn't even…" he stopped himself from finishing his sentence. He felt regret settle in as he almost broke the cardinal rule and spilled Clark's secret.
He looked up to see Lois looking at him icily.
"I know everything there is I need to know about Clark, respect my wishes. Please leave," she requested as she went to sit in her chair and continued to work on her computer.
Oliver felt hurt at her dismissal and he lashed out. "You enjoy your marriage Lois, just don't come crawling to me when Lana Lang comes back to town and he leaves you faster than a drop of a hat." He spat out, turned and slammed out of her office. In his anger he didn't notice Clark leaning on the wall near the door having heard everything.
Clark gave Lois a few minutes to pull herself together. He hadn't meant to eavesdrop but he had heard raised voices from her office and her heartbeat was racing. He had just wanted to check on her when he had heard the argument between her and Oliver. Looked like Bruce was right, Oliver wasn't handling their marriage well at all. He sped off and came back with fresh coffee for her. He opened the door and smiled at her as if he knew nothing.
"I brought you fresh coffee." He said and sighed when Lois looked up her eyes full of tears. Was she regretting their marriage?
"Oh Clark it was horrible." Lois said rushing to hug him and he quickly set the coffee down to avoid spilling it.
"What happened?" Clark asked.
"Oliver came by and I told him we were married and he got so mad. Clark he thinks we are still in love with each other and he came to restart our relationship and I told him I wasn't interested." Lois said hugging him tight.
Clark smiled softly; she had told him the truth so he could do the same. "I know baby, I didn't mean to eavesdrop but I overheard most of it." He stroked her hair.
"It was awful I never wanted to hurt him like that, why did he have to say anything at all? She grumbled.
"You're kind of hard to get over." He teased. "In fact I doubt I'll ever let you go."
"Clark" she groaned. "You're cheesy." But that didn't stop her from kissing him gently. "He seems to think you will leave me for Lana." She said jokingly but Clark could hear the tiny bit of uncertainty in her voice.
"Never going to happen." He said. "You are my wife, I am your husband. Till death do us part and all of that." He said kissing her a little harder this time. "You know what that means don't you?" he whispered into her ear while nibbling on the lobe.
Lois sighed in pleasure and whispered back, "I'm the only woman you will ever bury yourself in again?" she said saucily and Clark groaned.
"And I'm the only man who will ever be inside of you again." He said taking her mouth hungrily. They kissed for a few moments when Lois pulled away.
"I want you."She said and with a whoosh the blinds were pulled and Clark was hoisting her up onto the desk stepping between her legs. "I missed you this morning." She said unbuttoning his shirt.
"I went to see Batman, who by the way told me I could reveal his identity. We should probably make this quick." He said glancing out into the bullpen with his x-ray vision. So far no one seemed to be interested in their office.
"Really?"Lois said leaning back, "who is it?" she asked as Clark was hoisting her skirt around her waist and pulling her panties off. "Clark tell me." She said giggling as she pulled and tugged at his pants and undid the button and unzipped pushing them down around his hips. She noticed he was wearing boxers today and she grinned, easy access. She reached down and pulled his cock out of the slit of the fabric.
"Bruce Wayne." He said directly into her ear. He had checked their office for bugs many times as well had Chloe but he wasn't going to take a chance that someone might over hear Bruce's name.
"Are you kidding me?" she said shocked looking at him. Clark unbuttoned her shirt and pulled the cups of her bra down so he could have access to them.
"Nope." He said and he buried himself in her and Lois forgot everything about Oliver, Batman and Bruce Wayne. She slid her shirt off completely and pulled her bra down to her waist knowing how Clark loved her breasts. "You might want to hang on for this. We don't have time for slow loving." He said and he eased her back on the desk her hands reached above her head to grip the edge of the desk. "You have to be quiet," he said knowing what a screamer she could be.
He began to thrust hard and fast into her and Lois stuffed her hand in her mouth to stifle her moans. Clark heard someone say they were bringing something to the office. It was Jimmy he was coming into their office. He grabbed their loose shirts and her panties and threw them into the corner behind the filing cabinet.
Lois felt Clark haul her off the desk and looked at him confused. He put a finger to his lips and nodded towards the door. Lois felt panic, someone was coming and she was wrapped around Clark and he was still buried inside of her. She gasped as she felt herself leave the floor as he floated them up to the ceiling. Her back hit the ceiling and Clark pressed up against her just as the office door opened. Her legs hung over his hips and she tightened them around him to bring themselves closer to the ceiling.
Jimmy walked in and looked around. "Huh I could have sworn they were in here, they must have left."
Lois looked at Clark who was watching Jimmy, if he even glanced up Clark would superspeed them out so fast he wouldn't see anything. She couldn't help it and squeezed him inside of her and his eyes snapped to hers with a warning look. She squeezed again and Clark thrust up into her without meaning to. Lois felt her eyes roll back. Being on top meant deep penetration as it is but to have the ceiling at her back absorbed the thrust and she felt like he was deeper than he had ever been. She squeezed him again harder this time and he thrust again. He looked down at Jimmy who seemed to be debating on what to do. Making a decision he left a file on Clark's desk and left closing the door behind him.
Lois laughed. "I can't believe we forgot to lock the door." She giggled and Clark rolled his eyes. His mirth was short lived though as he remembered where they were. He grinned devilishly and began to thrust up inside of her. Lois gasped and moaned as all she could do was take his thrusts, being the way he had her pinned. "Harder" she moaned. "I want it hard and fast." Clark sped up his thrusts pushing harder and harder into her and Lois bit her lip to keep from screaming out loud. He sped up and she gripped his hair dragging his mouth to hers kissing him violently. "Harder." She demanded.
"I don't want to hurt you." He said and Lois leaned down and bit his lip between her teeth.
"You won't"she gasped. "**** me harder."
Clark hammered into her using a little of his power but not too much. Lois exploded in his arms coming hard. He loved watching her fall apart knowing he was the reason for it.
"Come in me?"she begged.
Clark moved them down slowly and pinned her to the desk on top of her. He thrust hard into her and he felt his release coming. With a groan he came deep inside of her. "Take it all baby, take my cum." He said in her ear as his body unloaded inside of hers. Lois moaned and pushed her body up wanting to send him deeper. They collapsed in a heap on the desk.
"Holy crap!"Lois exclaimed "We are so having ceiling sex again." She gasped for air rubbing his hands up and down his back.
"Do you think we made a baby?" Clark asked looking at her and she smiled. "I don't know, my period isn't due for a few more weeks. I stopped taking my pills when we got to New Orleans, so I might be."
"Are you ok with that?" he asked and Lois grinned and hugged him close. "I can't wait to have your baby."
She said, and they kissed deeply. He eased himself off of the desk and out of her and she moaned. He grabbed some tissues and cleaned himself and her off. Lois went and got their clothes out of the corner with a chuckle. She tossed him his shirt and slipped her panties on and adjusted her bra before slipping her blouse back on. As she dressed her mind went back to her conversation with Oliver and how angry he got. Could he be a threat to Clark?
"Clark?" she asked and he looked at her tucking in his shirt and running his hand through his hair. "Out of everyone in the League, who do you trust the most? I mean I know you trust Chloe but in the field, fighting who do you trust the most to have your back?" she tried to sound nonchalant.
"Well,"Clark said thinking, "Probably Bruce, yeah I would say I trust Bruce the most. Why?"
Lois shrugged, "No reason I just want to know your friends" she said hugging him but her mind was turning. They were interrupted by Clark's phone.
"Hello" he answered he listened for a moment. "I'm on it" he said. He looked at Lois. "I'm sorry there was a major earthquake in Asia, I have to go and help. I might not be back until tomorrow, will you be ok?" he asked.
Lois nodded and kissed him hard. "Be safe and make sure you come home to me." Every time he had to leave for an emergency Lois would always tell him to be safe and to come home, he was getting used to this. He kissed her again and was gone.
Lois thought for a moment and then she grabbed her stuff and ran out the door. She had a billionaire to speak to.
Wayne Manor.
It had been raining all night and Alfred was surprised to hear the doorbell ring at such a late hour. He opened the door to find a petite brunette drenched from the downpour.
"May I help you?" he asked.
"Uh yeah I need to speak to Bruce Wayne, my name is Lois Lane, is he here? I wouldn't bother him but it's important, can you tell him it's about Clark Kent?" Lois said in a rush afraid this guy would slam the door in
her face.
Hearing the woman mention Clark Kent, Alfred's mind race what does this young lady know about Master Kent?
"Please come in, come in, where are my manners?" he ushered inside. He noticed Lois didn't seem to impressed with the extravagant manor. He brought her into the parlor and came back with a towel. "I will go get Master Wayne now." He exited to find Bruce.
Lois dried her hair, she would have sat down but the chairs looked so elegant she thought her wet clothes would ruin them. She turned when she heard the door open and in walked Bruce Wayne. She didn't know much about him except that he was known as a wild playboy. Knowing what she did now she knew that wasn't true. He was very good looking, but not quite as handsome as Clark.
"Ms. Lane? What can I do for you?" he asked and Lois could sense the tension in his voice. He probably thought Clark told her his secret and she was here for an interview.
"It's about Clark," she said. "He told me who you are, but that isn't what I want to discuss." Lois said with a wave of her hand. This intrigued Bruce; she really didn't seem interested in his secret at all. "He also told me that when it came down to it you were the one he trusted the most to watch his back."
Bruce frowned; while he felt the same trust towards Clark he thought it was odd that Clark's wife was hear talking about it. "Lois, is Clark ok, is he in danger." He asked. Last he had heard from Watchtower was that
Clark was in Asia.
"No, he's fine, for now that is. Ugh this is kind of embarrassing but Clark trusts you so I will to. Years ago I dated Oliver Queen, it's been over a long time but today he came to me and confessed he still had feelings for me. I explained that I didn't feel the same way and that I married Clark. Needless to say Oliver didn't take it well. He got so mad he almost revealed Clark's secret to me, not knowing that I already knew. I'm afraid of what he will do, what he might say to someone, or what if…" she paused.
"What if what?" Bruce asked.
Lois sighed,"I don't want to think like this because Oliver is a good friend, but what if he allows his anger to come out on the field when Clark needs him the most? What if he intentionally doesn't watch his back? I really don't want to think this I don't, but Clark is my husband and for all we know a soon to be father and I have to protect him, friendship with Oliver or not. My loyalty is with Clark." Lois said. She took a deep breath. "I'm sorry I can be a bit intense at times, it takes awhile to get used to me." She apologized.
Bruce studied her and realized she was for real and her fear for Clark could be real to. "Lois, don't worry about Clark, I will make sure nothing happens and I will talk to Oliver to see how he is. He is no good to the League if he is distracted."
"Thank you,"Lois said feeling relief. If she knew the man better she'd hug him. "I should be going, thanks for giving me your time."
"It's late and pouring, why don't you stay here I have plenty of room." Bruce said, it would take her hours to drive back to Metropolis and the weather was awful.
"No thanks, I want to get home in case Clark gets done early. Thank you so much." Lois said again as he led her to the front door.
"Lois, congratulations on your marriage, Clark deserves someone who will love him completely and I see that is you." Bruce said seriously.
Lois beamed,"Thanks, he means the world to me." She said and with that she headed out to her car relieved to see the rain had subsided to a light drizzle. She got in the car and thought about what Bruce said, Clark deserves someone who loves him. They hadn't exchanged the L word yet. She turned the car out of the driveway and her mind raced. She knew she cared for him deeply and he for her. She pulled over suddenly "Oh my god! "She said out loud. "I love Clark Kent." Now the only question remaining was
did Clark love her?
