Time moved at the pace of a snail. Whenever either of the two skeleton brothers tried to make things right with Undyne(usually Papyrus), he would be shut down. And things between him and Sans had come to a stalemate as well. They barely spoke a word to each other anymore.

The tension and unease of the atmosphere made things far different than what any of them were used to. No trombones were tooted nor jokes cracked, nary a noodle of spaghetti was cooked in the kitchen, and the piano remained silent, slowly accumulating a fine layer of dust over its shiny black finish as it was left, untouched, for days.

And then those days turned to a week, which became two in good time. Not much was improving...Nobody was happy with this.

In spite of, or perhaps even being the cause of the tension, all three of the residents were thinking the same thing: 'Don't bother anyone. You might say the wrong thing at the wrong time, and make things worse. This will all blow over on its own soon enough.'

It sure was taking its sweet time, that was for sure. It'd been two weeks, and everybody still had a case of nerves; something that wasn't normal for any of them. Grillby had caught wind of the situation early on, just an hour after they came back from the hotel, actually, when Sans walked in and vented about everything to him, and he offered to give the pianist some time off when he heard of just how miserable she'd become. Some of the neighbors even went to peek in through the window every so often, just to make sure the house wasn't empty, with how quiet it'd become, unbenownst to the monsters living there. And even when their fears were alleviated when they saw one or more of them in there, it was not much less disturbing to them. Even some of the monsters living in Waterfall sensed something was wrong, with the burned house near Blook Acres having become abandoned and quiet. Save for a select few outsiders, none of them could imagine just what the residents themselves were going through. At any moment, the three of them feared that someone, somehow, might explode for some unknown reason, like each one of them was some sort of landmine that'd be stepped on by accident if people weren't careful.

Finally, one of them grew tired of the grim despair shrouding the household, and decided to take a cautious step into potentially dangerous territory, with he hope that now, after quite a long amount of time, it might finally be the right time to turn things around for the better and step back into the norm. He slowly left his room, shutting the door behind him as quietly as he could, and carefully made his way to his brother's quarters, just across from the staircase, before knocking.

"WHO IS IT?"

His usual volume had lowered to half its normal potency.

"take a wild guess...mind if i intrude?"

"EH...NO. COME IN."

Sans opened the door and found his brother sitting on his bed, head rested on folded hands, looking very contemplative. A quick scan of the room revealed that it wasn't quite as tidy as it usually was. A bit of dust coated the computer desk and action figured on his display table, and the books weren't quite alphebetized properly, as they usually were. Alright, nothing major, but a sign that he was bogged down by all of this...Of course, all of them were, but Papyrus' spirits, out of all of them, were lowered the most. And he knew that it was VERY hard to keep Papyrus down like this for so long, so he must've taken a really bad blow.

The shorter of the two entered and sat down beside him.

"...you hangin' in there alright?"

"I SUPPOSE...IT'S...VERY HARD SEEING UNDYNE LIKE THIS ALL OVER AGAIN. AND IT'S DIFFERENT THIS TIME. SHE'S NOT REALLY MAD AT APLHYS AS MUCH AS SHE IS AT...WELL...US. AND THEN WE GOT MAD AT EACH OTHER, AND...I'M NOT SURE WHAT TO DO."

"yeah. i know...i'm kinda stumped about all of this myself."

"DO YOU THINK IT'D HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT IF WE'D TOLD HER BEFORE WE LEFT FOR THE RESORT."

"...in all honesty? yeah, i think that would've been the better thing to do. especially now that the fit's hit the shan...what i don't get is why she's mad at you, too, and not just me. i'm the one who found out first."

"WELL...I DIDN'T TELL HER ANYTHING, EITHER. I WAS ALSO KEEPING IT A SECRET...AND SHE PUTS A LOT OF TRUST IN ME, YOU KNOW?"

"what do you mean by that?"

"I MEAN...SHE DOESN'T ASK ME TO DO ANYTHING LUDICROUS, OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. IT'S JUST...WE SAID THAT WE WOULDN'T KEEP SECRETS FROM EACH OTHER ANYMORE, AND NOW I'VE...GONE BACK ON WHAT I SAID. I LET HER DOWN...AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I'VE ACTUALLY LET HER DOWN OVER SOMETHING SO PERSONALLY IMPORTANT TO HER; OUR MUTUAL TRUST AND FRIENDSHIP. AND I...I FEEL HORRIBLE ABOUT IT. I'VE BEEN ASKING MYSELF ALL WEEK AND ALL LAST WEEK THE SAME THING...WHAT HAVE WE DONE? WHAT SHOULD I DO? HOW CAN I FIX ALL OF THIS? AND..."

He faltered. Sans could see his eye sockets begin to grow moist.

"...UNDYNE WAS ALWAYS TELLING ME, EVER SINCE SHE MOVED IN WITH US WHAT A WONDERFUL PERSON I AM, AND THAT I WAS THE BEST FRIEND SHE COULD EVER HOPE TO MEET. AND I ALWAYS NODDED MY HEAD IN AGREEMENT...BUT NOW THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED, I'M NOT SO SURE IF I REALLY AM THAT GREAT PERSON...NOW IT SEEMS THAT THE GREAT PAPYRUS IS...NO LONGER SO GREAT. IN FACT-"

"papyrus. stop. just...stop right there, and don't say anything else."

The shorter skeleton turned away, looking about ready to shed tears himself. Even his smile had almost completely faded.

"i can't bear to hear you talking about yourself like that. it's...not you."

"BUT ISN'T IT TRUE?"

"no. absolutely no way in hell." he answered, turning back to face him, eyes dark and locked in an unnaturally solemn glare. "and especially not if you keep thinkin' like that. this whole thing going on now, is...it's my fault, really. the only reason you didn't tell undyne about the amalgamate situation is because i told you to. and i know that even though we both know i'm a lazy bum, you look to me for advice a lot of times. and most of the time, i can keep up with that expectation you have of me, but...i don't always make the best decisions, either, in that regard. and it's not your fault for expecting it, because...well, i can't remember an instance where my advice didn't get you out of a jam somehow. i just wanna say i'm sorry for that...so don't beat yourself up over nothing. you were...torn between the two people you care about the most, and i can see how that could be a problem, now, and..."

He groaned, raising a bony hand up to his skull and massaging his forehead.

"...you get the idea, right?"

"SANS."

"...what?"

"IT'S ALRIGHT...BUT EVEN IF WHAT YOU SAY IS TRUE, DON'T SHOULDER ALL OF THE WEIGHT OF THIS INCIDENT FOR ME. AT LEAST...LET ME CARRY SOME?"

He was silent.

"...SANS?"

Slowly, the shorter skeleton stood to his feet, standing on the edge of the mattress, and then in a sudden turn to the side, threw his arms around his brother.

"love ya, bro."

Papyrus was quick to return the favor.

"...I LOVE YOU, TOO, BROTHER..."

There was a long pause between them. But for the first time in what felt like an eternity, that silence was warm and welcoming.

And it seemed as though they weren't the only ones who noticed the shift in the air.

The noise came from downstairs. The two of them listened it for a moment, and the sound quickly turned out to be...

"HARK, DO I HEAR WHAT I THINK I HEAR?"

"she's fightin' the ivories down there."

"OH, HOW WONDERFUL! ERM...WHY DON'T YOU STAY HERE, SANS? I'LL GO DISCUSS THIS WITH HER FIRST...IN THE MEAN TIME, YOU MONITOR THE SITUATION, AND I'LL GIVE YOU THE SIGNAL FOR WHEN YOU CAN COME DOWN AND JOIN US, HOW DOES THAT SOUND?"

"perfect."

"ALRIGHT...WISH ME LUCK."

"all the luck in the world, papyrus."

The brothers exited the bedroom, not minding how quiet they were quite as much now, and the taller of them descended the staircase, eyes locking onto his best friend. The tune emanating from the large, black instrument was soft and dreamy, but unlike the tranquil nocturne she sometimes played at Grillby's, this one sounded more solemn, and serious, and had a bit more weight to it. Papyrus wasn't sure if it was supposed to be calming or mournful...Maybe both. Perhaps Undyne was playing it to calm herself, since she was so upset, and that was why she chose that particular piece, finding solace in it. Papyrus decided not to bother her just yet; for more than one reason, too. Not only did he not want to disturb her, knowing she didn't like to be interrupted whenever she played, but he also wanted to hear the piece out for himself.

Finally, the music came to a slow stop, and the skeleton cleared his throat to alert his presence before she could start up again, catching her attention.

"Oh...Hi."

"HELLO, UNDYNE. ERM...THAT SOUNDED QUITE NICE. IT'S VERY, UM...WHAT'S THE WORD I'M THINKING OF...?"

"Melancholy?"

"YES, YES, THAT'S A FITTING WORD! WELL SAID, UNDYNE...WHAT'S IT CALLED?"

"Eh...'Moonlight Sonata.' First movement out o' three. Some 'Bee-thoven' guy wrote it."

"INTERESTING NAME FOR SOMEONE TO HAVE...BUT HE CAN DEFINITELY WRITE MUSIC, THAT'S FOR CERTAIN."

"Guess so..."

An awkward pause hung between them for a bit.

"...SO...UM..."

"Yeah? What is it?"

She didn't sound particularly angry, but Papyrus was still a bit nervous about the whole thing.

"WELL...I GUESS I JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT..."

He sighed.

"...I'D LIKE TO APOLOGIZE FOR WHAT HAPPENED THE OTHER WEEK. I WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU...BUT SANS TOLD ME THAT HE DIDN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW SO SOON, SINCE HE WAS AFRAID YOU MIGHT...WELL...LET'S JUST SAY HIS FEARS CAME TO BE, DESPITE HIM HAVING THOUGHT HIS PLAN WOULD PREVENT IT. AND I FOLLOWED HIS ADVICE. NOT JUST BECAUSE HE'S MY BROTHER, BUT BECAUSE IN THE WAY HE EXPLAINED IT, IT...SOUNDED LIKE THE RIGHT THING TO DO, AT THE TIME...BOTH OF US WERE IN THE WRONG, THOUGH. WE SHOULD HAVE TOLD YOU AS SOON AS WE FOUND OUT INSTEAD OF KEEPING IT SECRET."

The fish monster didn't give an immediate response, instead seeming to stare out into space, her eyepatch turned toward him.

"I UNDERSTAND IF YOU'RE STILL UPSET. I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT IF-"

"It's okay."

She said in a hoarse, shaky croak.

"OH, NO..."

Papyrus came around to her other side, and as sure as he suspected it, there was a fresh stream of tears flowing from her good eye. He wasn't sure what to say, not knowing whether she was upset at him or at something else, so he just placed a reassuring hand on her back and listened to her.

"...You two aren't the only ones to blame here."

"BUT WE DIDN'T TELL YOU WHEN-"

"Yeah, but I'm the one who acted like an idiot about it. I didn't need to blow up at either of you like I did, I..."

She clenched her fists and shut her eye, then slammed the lid shut on the piano and stood up, the skeleton following soon afterward.

"Damn me and my stupid temper! If I weren't such a freakin' hothead, we wouldn't be in this mess, and everything would be normal and fine right now! I should've thought to work things out the day it happened, but what the hell do I do? I storm off, shut everybody out for two weeks and sulk about it instead of thinking about it like I should be, and I made everyone else upset! What the hell is that!? WHAT THE HELL AM I!? I don't-"

"UNDYNE!"

All he had to do was scream her name and the entire house was shrouded in a deathly hush. And the silence that followed seemed to last an hour, the two monsters facing each other, now standing no more than two meter's length from each other and staring each other dead in the eye, seeing the exact same thing in each gaze; confusion, fear, hurt...

There was so much hurt.

Finally, Papyrus broke the quiet.

"...I'M SORRY I SNAPPED AT YOU LIKE THAT, UNDYNE, IT...IT'S JUST THAT IT'S NOT LIKE YOU TO BEAT YOURSELF UP OVER THINGS LIKE THIS, AND I JUST CAN'T BEAR TO KNOW YOU THINK OF YOURSELF IN SUCH A WAY...YOU REMEMBER BACK IN DECEMBER WHEN YOU WERE SICK, RIGHT? AND YOU WERE SAYING ALL THOSE THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF, AND HOW YOU THOUGHT YOU WEREN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR US...WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES, UNDYNE. SOME ARE BIGGER THAN OTHERS, AND WITH SOME, WE DON'T EVEN REALIZE THEY'RE MISTAKES UNTIL IT'S TOO LATE...WE ALL MESSED UP HERE IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. BUT SANS AND I ARE WILLING TO FORGIVE. I SPOKE TO HIM ALREADY. I FORGAVE HIM, HE FORGIVES ME, AND I FORGIVE YOU. AND...I KNOW YOU. BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE DOES, PERHAPS. UNDERNEATH THAT ROUGH EXTERIOR LIES A HEART OF PURE GOLD, AND I KNOW THAT YOU WOULD FORGIVE US FOR HAVING STARTED THIS WHOLE MESS IN THE FIRST PLACE. IF NOT NOW, THEN...MAYBE LATER. YOUR TEMPER MAY BE STRONG, BUT SO IS YOUR COMPASSION. AND IF YOU CAN'T FORGIVE US NOW, THEN...JUST LET ME SAY THAT YOU'RE A WONDERFUL PERSON, UNDYNE. NO MATTER WHAT YOU MIGHT THINK OF YOURSELF, I WILL ALWAYS THINK THAT. DON'T FORGET THAT, ALRIGHT?"

She just continued to stare at him, noiseless and motionless. He didn't take this as a good sign.

"THAT'S ALL I WANTED TO SAY. I'LL...GO, NOW," he said to her, turning away and heading back to the stairs. "IF YOU-"

He only heard her boots stomping against the carpet and coming toward him the moment before she got to him, and the very moment he turned around to face her again, he found himself being tackled into a hug.

"Of course I forgive you, ya big doofus," she told him, emitting some sort of gross sound between a laugh and a snivel. "...Wh-why is it that you always know exactly what to say to me, and...a-and..."

She trailed off, and her entire face scrunched up as she tightened her grip and tried to hold back another wave of tears.

"...What happened to me, huh? I-I didn't use to cry like this over stupid crap, and now, it's..."

"IT'S NOT STUPID, UNDYNE," Papyrus assured her, returning the hug. "YOU'RE GOING THROUGH A DIFFICULT TIME KNOWING WHAT YOU KNOW NOW, AND IT'S PERFECTLY ALRIGHT TO BE SAD...EVEN IF IT MAKES ME SAD TO SEE YOU SAD. BUT THAT'S OKAY...THE SADDER YOU ARE, THE MORE I'LL WORK TO MAKE YOU HAPPY AGAIN, AND IT WILL ALL TURN OUT ALRIGHT IN THE END. SO...CRY AS MUCH AS YOU NEED TO, UNDYNE. I'LL SHOULDER AS MUCH OF YOUR GRIEF AS I CAN."

She didn't hesitate; as soon as he finished, she let out a loud sob, buried her face into him and did just that. But despite how grim and sorrowful the scene may have looked to any outsider, to them it was a sure sign that things were finally going to be okay. No other words needed to be spoken; Undyne was on the verge of straight up bawling, and her best friend had begun to cry a bit himself, but that feeling of mutual comfort and reassurance was enough to calm them enough to contain themselves just a bit.

"...you two got room for one more?"

They both looked down. Sans had come to meet them on his own, a forlorn glimmer in his own eye sockets. They bent down to match his level, each putting an arm around him and drawing him right in.

"Sure thing," Undyne croaked through her tears.

"THE MORE THE MERRIER, RIGHT?"

"seems that way..."

He returned the favor as best he could, his comparatively short arms finding a place around them.

"Hey...I'm sorry about what I said back at the hotel," Undyne told him. "It was just...I didn't know you..."

She let go of him, and they all followed suit. She and Papyrus were still on their knees to match Sans' height.

"...You said you knew about the amalgamates long before all of this went down," Undyne recalled, suddenly looking angry again. "...I...I understand you made a promise to Alphys over it, but...Why? Why didn't you think it was better to tell anyone about something like this? Why didn't you tell ME? I..."

She sighed, eye growing moist again.

"...I probably could've done something to help her before..."

Papyrus got up and stepped back a bit, and Sans looked up to face her, eyes dark and solemn.

"...i don't always make promises like that," he answered. "...but when i do, it's usually because i think it's...preventing something worse from happening. like...i did consider telling the king about it at one point, i swear. but...do you ever get that gut feeling that if you do something, even though it seems like the right thing to do, something horrible is gonna happen anyway?"

She nodded

"Sometimes..."

"i'll give you another example. it doesn't really matter now, though...you remember how i told you about the old lady in the ruins that i used to tell jokes to, right?"

"And that she turned out to be Queen Toriel?"

"yeah. so one day, she asks me if i would...watch over any humans that might pass through next and protect 'em...like i said, i don't really make promises like that, but...just the tone of her voice, and how desperate she was to keep just one kid alive. i couldn't say no to that...and especially now that we'd known each other for a while, you know?"

"Is...that how it was with Alphys?"

"to a greater extent...toriel? she was upset, no doubt, but she was pretty casual about it...when alphys found me with the amalgamates, she was..."

He breathed deeply. Having to recall how she reacted, especially now that he realized the damage that would have been caused either way, was heart-wrenching.

"...she was on her knees, sobbing, begging me not to tell anyone, over and over...i tried to convince her otherwise, but...nothing helped. i couldn't let her down...that was one of the things she was most afraid of; being betrayed for something that she...had no idea was going to happen. i wish i'd gone to you. at that point, things between you and alphys were just starting to form...but she seemed to like you so much, and vice-versa. i didn't wanna risk ruining one of the only things that kept her going...but now that i see what you really think about all of this, seems like you'd have helped her through it as much as i'd have wanted to...but now it's too late, and...i'm to blame just as much as all the other factors, it seems...undyne, i'm sorry. and i completely understand if you wanna hate my nonexistent guts for as long as i live over this."

She didn't give an immediate response, her angry look having softened just a bit, despite still holding fast. But finally, she spoke, her voice shaky and weak.

"...I guess all of us screwed up to some extent. You, me, Alphys...Asgore, even, since he was the one who approved the experiment. But...I don't hate you, okay? Even if you did something stupid that...caused a lot of things to go south, that...I don't think I could ever bring myself to hate you. Not after what we've all bee through together. You've both really had my back when times were tough, and...Sans, I've been with you guys for a long time, now. We're...I don't see us as just friends anymore. You guys are like family to me, and..."

She stopped there, then in a swift and sudden movement, scooped him up into a hug, stood up and brought Papyrus back in with them.

"I love you two, okay...?"

"heh...you too, undyne."

"YES, THAT'S TRUE. VERY MUCH SO."

She wasn't sure how long they were all like that until something dawned on her...She'd been upset over secrets being kept from her, and now all of the cats were out of the bag...

Except for hers.

She still had something she was keeping from the skeleton brothers. One of them in particular. She'd been keeping it to herself for a while, and in the last two weeks, she'd bottled it up into her curdling anger. But now they'd escaped again. And she knew she had to tell them. She wanted to tell HIM.

...But she wasn't sure how.

"I...think I'm gonna hit Grillby's tonight and do my thing. I already warmed up, so, hey, might as well, right?"

"THAT SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD IDEA!"

"What time is it?"

She checked her phone; 4:52 in the afternoon.

"Oh, man, I gotta head over there. Let's, uh, talk later, okay? Imma surprise the crowd."

"NEED HELP GETTING THE PIANO OVER THERE? IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE YOU LAST CARRIED IT INTO THE RESTAURANT, SO I HOPE IT HASN'T GOTTEN TOO HEAVY FOR YOU."

"You kiddin'? I've been lifting that thing for long enough that I could probably lift TWO at this point. Two weeks ain't gonna do that much. Just watch me."

And Undyne proceeded to prove her word by hoisting the instrument up onto her back, along with the piano bench that Sans usually hauled in for her, and walking towards the door with it. Papyrus opened it up for her, and she gave him a smirk as she waltzed on out with it and turned west.

"UNDYNE REALLY IS ONE OF A KIND, ISN'T SHE?"

"can't say I've met anyone else like her."

"NYES...THE WORLD WON'T EVER BE THE SAME WHEN SHE DUSTS."

He whizzed his head around to face him.

"what'd you say?"

"WELL, YOU KNOW...I DON'T MEAN THAT WILL HAPPEN ANYTIME SOON. I'M TALKING YEARS FROM NOW. DECADES, EVEN. YOU KNOW, WHEN WE'RE ALL-"

"old and crotchety?"

"YES, I GUESS THAT'S ONE WAY OF PUTTING IT."

"heh...that's funny."

"WHAT'S FUNNY?"

"...she said the exact same thing to me at dinner last night."

"SHE...SHE DID?"

"those exact words."

"NYEH..."

His white cheekbones developed the slightest tint of pink, and he subtly turned away from his brother to hide it, though he smiled the whole time.

Undyne, at the time, was busy setting up at Grillby's. Everyone there had been very pleasantly surprised to see that she finally decided to show up after such a long leave, and welcomed her with a stream of greetings and praises, as well as the occasional condolence thrown into the chattering mix. But she didn't really pay much attention to their bantering. She had other things on her mind. How was she going to come clean to Papyrus about how she felt? She really had no idea how to handle it with someone like him. She needed some advice.

...Some advice.

Of course. How had she not thought of that before?

Gerson...Odds are that out of anyone, he'll know what to do.

It was decided, then. Tomorrow, she would go tell him everything. He'd been alive for so long, he HAD to have some piece of wisdom about it to share.

She smirked as she opened up her piece, and for the first time in seemingly forever, the quiet atmosphere of Grillby's was brought to life by the sound of a piano sweeping away the minds of all who listened.

...

The Throne Room was as silent as ever, the only sound echoing through it being the song of the birds overhead.

The queen's padded feet made nary a sound as they shifted through the grass and flowers back to her throne.

She sat down in a rather undignified manner and rested her head on one of her hands. She would never get used to the quiet. It seemed like only yesterday that the garden was filled with laughter, and lively conversation and all sorts of wonderful sounds...Just imagining it, she was almost able to hear everyone's voices again.

But they were gone before she even realized it.

She looked back at the stone figure of her late king, shaking her head in a strange combination of anger and remorse. She was mad at him for multiple reasons; not only had he harvested the SOULs of six young humans that she'd cared about, but then he allowed said SOULs to be experimented on, and such meddling had only made a lot of other monsters worse off than before.

...Even so, he was THAT desperate to avoid anymore bloodshed that he would allow such a thing...

On the other hand, he never really wanted any of this to go down in the first place, so she'd discovered upon her return. And it was very true that nobody could have suspected what was to happen. There were no records on the subject beforehand.

I suppose there was really only one way to find out, Toriel surmised. Even still, though...

She really wasn't sure what to think of Asgore anymore. He'd been the root cause of a lot of terrible, terrible things that'd happened down here, and to a lot of people. To the monsters that ended up becoming the amalgamates, the humans that fell, and even her herself. And the sad part was that he didn't even know she'd heard of his horrible actions.

...But what about before all of that?

They'd only been apart for a decade, and looking back, it was really only a spec of time compared to the thousand years that things had been right between them. He'd given her happiness, hope, and all the love in the world. He promised that no matter what the future brought, he would never stop loving her, time and time again...

He never broke that promise, it turned out.

And what had she done in return?

She didn't even bother trying to stop him from making that horrible proclamation to the people after Asriel and Chara left them. Hadn't tried to calm him down and talk him out of it, like she had whenever else he got upset. No. She'd just gone and left him all by himself when he needed her most.

Neither of them were really in the right mind that day...What might have happened if she had decided not to flee to the Ruins? Something different, probably.

...But there was no way of knowing now.

"...I don't think I ever really hated you, Asgore," she whispered, as though he were listening. "I don't think I ever really could...Even if I couldn't stay with you after what you said, and even after all of the things you carried out to..."

She sighed.

"...You were my one and only. And...I know you always thought the same.

Her head lowered, and she held back a few tears.

"...I just wish you could hear all of this for yourself...But now it's too late, and...I'm sorry."

One finally slipped, running down the white fur of Toriel's face and landing on the grass, disappearing beneath the foliage and into the garden soil beneath that the king so loved to tend to for all of his days.

10:

I've been so busy over the past while that I've forgotten to write anything in here.
A lot has happened since my last entry, and I intend to write out the details right
here and right now.

First off, I've done it. Modification and reprogramming of the substance-seeking
absorption beamers should make it able to not just extract DETERMINATION, but
other traits as well, including the three needed to recreate the SOUL of a monster.
All I need now are the guinea pigs...Being Flowey and the human SOUL.

Second, Flowey knows now. He seems curious more than anything; I'm surprised he
wasn't excited, or angry or anything. As a matter of fact, I don't think he has much
more left to lose than I do. No life, no family, no SOUL...It's sad, really.
He also told
me that...THEY weren't at the lab anymore, and that they were all sent back to be
with their families.
Good. I'm glad of that. That was what I wanted all along.

If all goes well, I think there might be a light at the end of the tunnel. If not, then I
guess we just go on doing what were before: hiding away and keeping to ourselves.

I'll start the experiment tomorrow.

That's all for now.
