A/N I hope you guys enjoy this chapter.
Lexa's POV
You walk out of the Mountain, seeing the burnt faces staring into your soul. You cannot believe that you left Clarke to do this by herself the last time around. The plan had been going so well, and you don't know how it got messed up.
You were on horseback, and after riding all the way to the Mountain, you were ready for war. You approached the door, whilst two Skaikru members were taking out the power generator things.
As expected, Cage came to you with the same offer.
"I understand that you are the commander, is that correct?"
"Yes," you say.
"Well I will let your people go, and in exchange you stop this war. But the people from the sky will be kept, and any outside will be captured. Do we have a deal?"
"Yes," you turn to walk back to your army.
"Wait a minute." You turn back to face him. "Where is Clarke?"
"The one they call Clarke sacrificed herself for the one they call Finn," you lie.
"Good."
You return to the front of the army, and sound a horn. Not to sound a retreat, but to sound the start of the next stage of the plan.
In the Reaper tunnels, Octavia, Bellamy and their team heard the horn. Then according to the plan, all the grounders turned and began to leave. Octavia and Bellamy stayed behind, refusing to leave.
"What the hell are you doing!?" yelled Lincoln. "Come on."
"No. We're getting our people out of there," answered Bellamy.
The ten Grounders with them then went advanced on the siblings, picking them up and carrying them out of the tunnels.
Back at the door to the Mountain, Cage had opened the door to allow your people out. However, while your people were coming out, Wells slipped something called an EMP in. It blasted off, and when the Maunon realised what was happening, it had already gone off, rendering the door unable to close. Grounders filed in, killing those at the gate, excluding Cage, who they tied up, as you made your way to the command centre. On the way over, you found Monty. The two of you made it to the command centre, tying up everyone there. Monty did his thing with his computer and before long, he gave you the go ahead.
You told Monty what to say, he typed it into his computer, but just before it blasted across the Mountain, you saw a group of people with Jasper in tow, and a drill in their clammy hands. You needed to do something quick. You leant into Monty, and gave him different instructions. He nodded, knowing it was crucial to save his best friend. He typed for a few seconds before the voice of President Cage was heard throughout the Mountain.
"Citizens of Mount Weather," the program said immitating the Presiedent's voice perfectly. "Today we must split up. Those who do not believe in using the children from the sky and the people from the ground, make your way to level 5. It is ensured that both of our people will survive this war, although, that cannot be said for the months following the war."
You watch on the cameras as people made their way to Level 5. Thankfully, the teachers all brought the young students to level 5, whilst the guards and many civilians who had been using Grounder blood their whole lives, made their way down to Levels 1 to 4. You gave them five minutes before locking off Level 5 and irradiating the other four levels. Thankfully, the drill was centimetres away from Jasper before the radiation caught up.
You watch Bellamy and Octavia come around the corner, looking at the dead faces. Then, they looked up to you for an explanation.
"They were going to kill Jasper. I couldn't let them. There are some alive on Level 5, so find Abby, Jackson, and all willing donors and take them to the command centre. Monty is up there, he will tell them what to do."
You look away, and continue to walk out of the Mountain.
"Lincoln, if anyone asks for me, tell them that I have returned to camp. Bellamy and Octavia know my instructions. When you all are done here, return to Arkadia to find homes for the orphaned Maunon. Skaikru were not allowed to have more than one child, so people will be willing to adopt them. Now I am going to Clarke. No one is to disturb me for two days, unless the Coalition is burning to the ground."
"Sha Heda. Just to clarify, even if Azgeda is the only one not burning to the ground, do not call you," he jokes, trying to lighten the mood.
"Correct," you say before riding off.
Bellamy's POV
You walk past Lexa, before nodding to Octavia to continue without you. You make your way to the cage where you know Echo stayed, and with your back to it, you slump down onto the ground, your head in your hands, sobbing. She might not have been the love of your life, but Echo was still one of your best friends, and you miss her so badly. You stay there until your eyes dry out, and you feel an arm around you.
You and Octavia sit in silence for a long time, ignoring the drill from where the donors where donating their bone marrow. You just sit there, with Octavia and your memories of Echo accompanying you.
Clarke's POV
You see Lexa riding alone, and you start to get worried.
"Lexa, are you okay?" you ask as you help her down from her horse.
She just lets you envelope her with your arms, as she silently cries.
"Look at me Lex. What's wrong?"
"I killed them Clarke."
You take her into her tent, place her on the bed and undress her. You prepare a bath for her, wipe off all of her face paint and finally, place her in the bath. You wash her, and when she is finished, and dry, you lead her back to the bed. You hold her for a while before asking anymore.
"Who did you kill Lex?"
"The people at Mount Weather."
"All?" you ask thinking of Maya.
She shakes her head and you continue.
"Who did you not kill?"
"I told everyone who did not want to kill the children from the sky to go to the fifth level. I got the rebels and kids onto Level 5 and irradiated everyone else."
"You gave them a choice Lexa. That's the best you could have done."
"But they weren't all bad. They grew up that way, it wasn't their fault. It's what they were taught."
"Lexa, look at me. You made a decision. It may not have been the perfect outcome, but it was the best decision. You gave those kids their futures, and in the right way. You did nothing wrong, do you understand?"
She nods, before whispering to you. "Clarke," she whispers. "Can you just hold me now?"
"For the rest of our lives. That's a promise."
A/N I hope this was a good conclusion to the Mount Weather storyline. Review, I love to hear your opinions.
