Due to the Heart of Lorkhan being abused for so long the land and energy around Red Mountain had become tainted. Hashirama, Mito and I started spending a large amount of time in and around the mountain purifying and rebalancing the natural energy of the region.

"You're getting faster at gathering and balancing natural energy." I allow myself a small grin as I slowly release the natural energy and stand up.

"Thank you Hashirama, I'm glad I took you up on your offer." Hashirama grinned and scratched the back of his head, a habit that amused me.

"A willing student is a teacher's delight, it's nice to pass on a skill that few are able to utilize." I nod agreeing, before stretching. Communing with natural energy was amazing in many ways, but sitting still like that for so long can be an annoyance.

"This is a long term project though Alexander, so you don't have to spend all your time here with me."

"Nonsense Hashirama, this is important to the recovery of the natural order of things. We have time to plan before the next crisis, Perenelle is working on a solution to take care of the small moon above Vivec City."

"I've been meaning to ask about that." I stand waiting for a few minutes before Hashirama rolls his eyes. "How did that get there?"

"That's Baar Dau, or Lie Rock. There are many rumours on how it got there, most agree that it was one of the Daedra that threw it towards Vivec City to punish the Tribunal. Vivec has maintained its position in the sky and once that fails it will slam into the city at full force."

"Let me guess earthquakes, fires and floods?"

"Worse, Red Mountain violently erupts and makes this area all but uninhabitable for hundreds of years. Stopping that disaster will save an untold number of lives, initially and over time."

"I can see that, if it's going to be that big of a problem why aren't you dealing with it?" I stop to consider my answer.

"Several reasons, it won't be a problem for a few more years and I already have a few ways to deal with it. This is a much more immediate problem in my opinion." Shrugging Hashirama concedes the point.

"You would know better than me, we've done enough for today." Hashirama and Mito left moments before I did, I waited for my duplicates to reintegrate themselves before apparating to my workshop in Balmora.

***NOMANISAN ISLAND***

Nicolas Flamel was an odd man by most people's definition and he always had been. While the people around him scrambled for money, power and privilege he sought to understand the world around him. His quest for knowledge led him to more money and power than he could have ever imagined.

The day he created his first Philosopher's Stone should have led to celebration, yet he felt almost empty and cast adrift without a goal to focus his efforts on. Then that very same day he saw things that opened his eyes to things he had never really considered, it was also the day he swore he would end slavery no matter what it took.

Out of the three major events that took place that day, for Nicolas meeting Perenelle was the most important one of them all. The love they shared was like a force of nature potent, strong and wild. When Perenelle gained an interest in enchanting Nicolas went out of his way to encourage her and provide everything she needed.

Even still a love as great as they shared wasn't enough, the two of them had been getting bored of life. Then came the creation of New Avalon, from that point on they didn't look back. Now they stood on a completely alien planet in a foreign reality, and still if asked Nicolas would say meeting Perenelle was the most important moment of his life.

At the moment the two of them were working in their workshop, working together seamlessly. If anyone were watching them it would look like poetry in motion, communication between the pair was done flawlessly without any words. For them a simple look, gesture or touch could contain a thousand words.

They were getting close to moving against the upper echelons of the people keeping slavery alive. They were studying one of the remaining obstacles, the slavery bracers. A brutal method of control that turned a slaves innate magic against them, they looked like a simple enchanted device but they were so much more.

Perenelle had learned from investigating the first set they stole that they were all linked, she knew that somewhere out there was a master set. Once they found the master set they would find the person or people at the top, on that day they would make their move against slavery.

***BALMORA, WORKSHOP***

The moment I stepped into my workshop I split myself into five and started working, each duplicate had work to do. Alchemy, blacksmithing, enchanting and potions would be handled by duplicates. With a smirk I sent a few clones to start working on creating spells for us to use against the Daedra.

With that done I apparated to the Phoenix Tree Grove to spend time with Phoenix and meditate. Every time I gathered natural energy here it got faster and easier, almost as though the Island was balancing its energy to be in balance with me.

It was a mystery to me, when I was meditating I knew the answer. Yet the second I stopped the answer was gone, leaving me with only questions that I knew I should know the answer to. Like a gossamer dream that breaks apart and floats away the more you try and grasp it.

Hours later Fleur and Luna found him in the middle of the Grove, completely covered in phoenixes, with one particularly smug looking bird sitting on the top of his head. They sat in front of him to either side forming a triangle, seconds after they sat down two shadow clones appeared beside them and offered them a hand up.

"Would you ladies like to take a walk through the jungle?" Fleur and Luna stood and joined arms with a shadow clone and left the Grove. "There's a lot of preparation to be done, but we have time to relax before the next crisis occurs."

"Do we have time to work on the animal sanctuaries?" All three of them glanced over ya the hopeful looking Luna.

"We've already done the bulk of the work on the sanctuaries, I'll show you the modifications we made later. Perenelle modified the spells we learned from Sirius to create an enchantment that created the exact nature of Nirn."

Fleur smiled and nodded "I've been spending time with Perenelle, she is an amazing teacher."

"No doubt, without her modifications this project wouldn't be where it is now. Once she gave me one of her modified sea cans I started breaking down the central volcano to use in the sanctuary."

"When do we go looking for animals? Can we do it now?" The clone with Luna looked over and winked at Fleur before answering.

"We'll start as soon as I build the individual habitats in the sea cans, after that we will start collecting." Luna stopped and pulled the clone into a fiery kiss before skipping away happily. Fleur smirked at the clone and followed after Luna, the clone hurried to catch up to them.

"Our plan is to collect as many as possible, then use potions and accelerated time to encourage them to breed. With that strategy we should be able to have our sanctuary and also increase the animal population in Nirn." Luna shared a smirk with Fleur before she took a box of capsules out of her Mokeskin Pouch.

She quickly set up one of the Safari Lodges that everyone carried and led the clone inside, followed by Fleur and the clone with her. Since the Lodge came with built in wards and notice-me-not charms nobody was concerned in the slightest.

They wouldn't leave the Lodge for some time, and when the clones dismissed themselves the duplicate that created them got some very interesting memories.

***?***

Far away from Morrowind, in the heart of the empire there was a meeting, twelve people who all held various positions of wealth and power. They all had one thing in common, each and every one of them were involved in the slave trade in Morrowind.

They were the worst sort of people who believed that if you weren't human you were worthless, as far as they were concerned the only good elves were either slaves or dead. At the head of the table sat a massive elderly man, when he stood everyone stopped what they were doing to listen.

"Someone has been poking their nose in our business in Vvanderfell and I want to know who." He slowly looked at each of the people around him and looked into their eyes, the power of his personality almost tangible. "While I think there is a traitor in our organization I don't think any of you are involved."

One of the bravery men at the table cleared his throat. "How would you like us to handle this, sir?"

"We watch and we wait, whoever is behind this will inevitably make a mistake that will lead us to them. That's when we will strike, first at the slaves and then them."

Nobody noticed the nervous glances the two youngest members exchanged between themselves. They had recently taken over their families businesses and secrets, neither of them were comfortable with either. With that quick glance they knew they were in agreement, they would seek out whoever was investigating them.

They knew that what they were planning was dangerous, but neither were willing to continue their families destructive behaviour. Both of them were willing to take that risk and their honour demanded it.

***CYRODIIL, MAGE'S TOWER***

Near the estate of a minor noble's estate there was a Mage's Tower, it wasn't unusual per se there were many towers like it. What made the tower unique was the wards protecting it and what was held inside. The location and powerful wards few many would be thieves to try and break in.

The powerful wards stood out like a beacon to those able to sense them, layered as they were a hotspot. The wards went from a friendly warning and slowly ramped up into complete obliteration.

The tower was a mystery that drew thieves like moths to a flame. Like the proverbial moth and flame, the wards burned all of those who fought their way to the tower and got to close. Most curious people were turned away by the increasingly dangerous wards, only the most foolish and arrogant pressed onwards.

No ward was perfect though, there was always a fault either by design or by accident. So supposing a group of mages and thieves were to collapse the wards and enter the tower. That hypothetical group would be sorely disappointed.

Other than furniture they would find three things of note, assuming they found the basement that is. There in the bowels of the tower sat a large stone engraved with symbols and an odd Dwemer like artifact. The third was the model of a city held in a dome.

Chances are they wouldn't know that the machine was there to feed magic to the Ward Stone, and that if they didn't hurry they would be trapped. Not only in the tower but inside the room itself.

There was little chance they would know that it wasn't a model sitting there, it was Clockwork City. A place few knew about and even less knew where to find it, where it used to sit was a trap that had been set for Almalexia.

Waiting for here to make her attempt to murder the creator of said city, the trap was pretty much perfect. Once she entered the trap would slowly drain her stolen divine power and feed her illusions, a waking dream that would show her what she wanted.

All while sapping the stolen energy and using it to strengthen the trap, if she wasn't digilent she would be trapped there forever. The trap was a masterpiece designed by Nicolas and Perenelle and created in their lab. A fiat backed prison created to kill one being and trap their soul and fed their delusions.

The only victim would be the false god Almalexia, if everything went as planned she would think her plans had succeeded. She would never attempt to leave because to her everything would seem perfect.

***TIME WARP***

With the help of Perenelle and Hashirama I had finally figured out what I needed to do in order to enchant without using Soul Gems. The machine I built was slow in comparison, but it served its purpose. On one side I would put a full tank from the magelectric converter, the other side held my Azura's Star.

My intention had been to deal with the Daedric Princes as little as possible and hope that they didn't notice me. Once I realized it would take a month to fill my Azura's Star I decided to hunt down the real one to use while here.

The decision wasn't an easy one since it would pit me indirectly against the most dangerous and powerful Daedric Prince of them all. Sheogorath the Mad was once known as Jyggalag the Daedric Prince of Order before he was cursed and driven insane.

Now I would be putting myself in his line of sight by interfering in a bet between him and Azura, so in order to balance that I decided to first do his bidding and then I would help Azura once more.

So after a headache inducing discussion with Sheogorath under Vivec City I traveled to northern Vvanderfell to kill a giant Bull Netch with a fork. A fork that the second I touched it ate a massive portion of my magic, insane quest from an insane god.

I had to admit to myself that studying the enchantment on the strange weapon was worth the headache. Neither quest took very long, within a few days of my decision I had a second Azura's Star being filled for me to use.

***BALMORA, WORKSHOP***

Dozens of clones were hard at work doing a variety of tasks in the workshop, while the duplicate that created them was busy creating large sets of heavy armour. The heavy armour once finished would have more in common with power armour than a knights armour though.

It was being designed to augment, enhance and protect the one inside. Each set of armour would take months of enchanting work and a truly insane amount of energy to create. With each armour there would be a set of similarly enchanted weapons.

Once completed they would be a Masterwork of blacksmithing that would turn an invalid into a walking weapon of mass destruction. As a precaution they would be tuned to the magical signature and blood bound to one person.

Going forward they would use accelerated time to fill both Azura's Stars and then enchant the armour and weapons in real-time. Instead of taking years to create each set it would now only take a matter of months.

By his estimation all nine sets would be ready around three years, with some leeway built into that estimation. The only thing better than preventing the Oblivion Crisis was countering it with a massive counter strike.

Even now the emperor and his illegitimate son were being watched. The second that the Order of the Mythic Dawn made their move so would they. First they would take the corpses of the emperor and his three sons and put them in stasis to be revived after the crisis was over.

They would then openly confront the unknown heir to the throne and ensure his safety. The group would study the portals and protect Nirn, killing any Daedra that dared to threaten Nirn. Mulling over the plan the duplicate of Alexander had a truly feral grin that would have made Wolverine proud.

***NOMANISAN ISLAND***

Albus and Filius were dueling each other, the two of them enjoyed the challenge that it brought. Mixing their magic and their new power and testing themselves against each other. It let them both release stress and also discover new ways to use their magic.

Albus' strategy tended towards using transfigurations offensively and defensively, while Filius used his size and speed to dodge and send barrages of spells against him. If Filius had ever gone full out against Voldemort there would have been two former teachers he feared.

While Albus still held in his convictions to never kill, that was being chipped away. He had no desire to argue for clemency for the invasion that was going to happen, he had however argued against allowing it to happen.

In the end though he capitulated and dropped his argument when he heard the full scope of the plans. He would do everything in his power to protect the innocent, as he always had since that tragic morning his sister died.

NOTES

The plan was to cover the Oblivion Crisis in this chapter, but I ended up doing this. Oh well, the next chapter will at least start the Crisis off.
