David's POV:

We finished our case and were on the jet. It was different without the team here. I asked Hotch, "So what is your plan to get the team together?"

Hotch looked up at me and said, "I don't have one. There are new agents joining the BAU next week. If they want to start new paths so be it."

I was shocked by his response. I stood up and angrily said, "You don't get it. This case took longer to solve without the team and just replacing them will not help. When Gideon and I started the BAU we knew that agents working are more than co-workers they are Family. And you are destroying this one, and I don't want to be apart of it."

He asked me calmly, "So are you deciding to leave too?"

I didn't know what to say so I said, "Yes I quit." Then I walked to the back and sat down. I pulled out my phone and made a group chat with everyone but Hotch saying, "Who's up for some drinks?" Penelope, Morgan, and J.J responded with yes and everyone else said they were out but maybe another time.

Charley's POV:

We've been driving to California for 4 days now stopping to see attractions and sleeping. Every few hours we would stop and change seats so that the other could relax. We enjoyed our time in the car talking and getting to know each other.

I really wanted to tell Nina about our parents but I remember the picture frame and thought she didn't want to do anything with them anymore. Spencer has been so sweet to me and I finally forgave him and he said, "I promise I won't keep secrets from you anymore." I appreciated that and said, "Thank you, that means a lot to me."

I didn't know what to say because even though he apologized I still couldn't fully trust him.

It's almost been a month and I can't wait to get in contact with Nina.

Emily's POV:

We decided to wait a couple of days as we sent our letter of resignation to Hotch. I am not mad at him but I am upset that even though I am not working for him I'm still keeping a secrete from Nina and I worried what would happen if she finds out.

I've been debating it every night but I end up having nightmares waking up freaking out. Nina and I have been sleeping in different rooms and all I want is her to hold me when I am scared.

One night we were watching a movie and we both fell asleep during the movie. Just my luck I had a nightmare and screamed, "NO!"

Nina immediately woke up asking, "What's wrong? Are you okay?"

I couldn't answer. I couldn't breathe. I was panicking. She notices and gave me a hug until my heart rate slowed down and she said, "It's okay. You don't have to say anything."

I cried with her holding me tight and then we fell asleep again.

When I woke up there was a blanket on top of me and I smelled eggs cooking. I looked up and saw Nina in front of the stove and Sergio rubbing against her legs. I sat up and she looked at me and said, "Good morning how are you feeling?"

I just smiled and stretched. "It smells really good," I said while picking up Sergio and giving him kisses. Nina laughed at me because I did it in a funny voice because I was talking to my cat and she said, "Yeah I think he agrees because he's been wanting some even though I gave him food." I laughed because I knew that Sergio would do that and started to apologize about last night. Nina stopped me and said, "We all deal with our fears and insecurities I understand. You don't have to be sorry."

I was very happy that she understood but I wanted to tell her about her parents or at least about her mother. I took a deep breath and said, "Nina-" and was cut off by a knock on my door.

I walked up to the door and open it and saw J.J. standing there.

"J.J." I said and heard the kitchen go silent, "How are you?"

She came in and said, "Please come back. The team needs you. I don't know where Nina went but Spencer and Charley are gone for I don't know how long. Ever since the kidnapping and Nina's suspension, the team hasn't been the same. I got a text from Rossi saying that Hotch is hiring new agents."

I was shocked, "Really? Why did you leave?"

J.J.'s POV:

I decided to check on Emily because I haven't heard from her for a while and I missed seeing her.

We never left from the door and just talking about what happened. She asked me why did I leave so I said, "Ever since the kidnapping Charley and Spencer said they needed time off. Then Nina was suspended and you got badly injured. It was just me, Rossi, and Morgan. Hotch told us about the letter of resignation you and Nina requested and Hotch asked if we were mad at him."

I heard a noise in the background but didn't think anything of it so I continued, "I said I wasn't mad but conflicted on keeping a secrete from Nina and Charley," I noticed that Emily's eyes widen like she was worried but I said, "He told us that Nina and Charley's parents were alive and we couldn't tell-"

"J.J. stop!" Emily said as I heard footsteps coming to the doorway. Then I saw Nina there shocked and walked into Emily's room.

I apologized to Emily and she said, "No it's- I mean- It had to come out one way or another." And walked to her room. I followed her and saw Nina on the bed with a despaired look on her. Emily sat at the edge of the bed and I went in front of Nina and said, "Hotch gave us a direct order and said we couldn't tell you guys, but I wanted to badly. I feel so bad for you and Charley and would never want to keep this from you."

She looked at me and said, "Either someone I trust keeps secrets from me or leaves me to pick up my broken pieces all by myself."

Emily spoke up, "I told you I will never leave you. I am in this 100 percent. No more secrets."

I looked at her and Nina sat up and said, "You promise."

Emily held her hands up in surrender and said, "I promise, but on one condition you can not hide your feelings from me. I want you to come to me if you need anything."

I saw Nina nodding in agreement and added, "You have to do the same."

All three of us laughed and Nina scooches over to let me sit and we decided that we would get the team back together and work everything out. Nina said, "I will rejoin but Emily and I are going to California for a few days to meet up with my grandmother. Then we will be back before Friday," she looked at Emily and said, "We should repeal our letters of resignation now so we don't forget when we get back."

I notice that the two were much happier together and said, "Are you two together?"

They both laughed and Emily said, "No-" but Nina added, "But we are talking about it," and looked at Emily.

I was very excited for the two because I've never seen Emily so happy and Nina finally letting her guard down. I knew this was only the beginning.
