The Prince
"Darling, I asked you, why are you upset?" Elizabeth insisted.
William said nothing and just sat, looking forlorn.
"Baby, you are a gossip; I will tell your mommy if you do it again. William, Baby is just talking, but it is out of goodwill; she wants you to be informed. You understand that whoever is in a union with anyone of the Prince kin, will have a life beyond anything you could imagine. Your uncles can tell you more about different types of unions; perhaps that will help." Desi waggled her finger at Baby, who huffed indignantly.
Young asked Darcy to talk to him away from the others. William followed him into his office. Lizzie wanted to come along, but she was asked to stay away.
Desi started walking to follow Young, but the uncles called her, so she went to sit by them. Lizzie was upset she had to stay until Zoom sat on her lap and licked her belly. "Your son says he loves you. I love you too. If you want, we can go flying."
Lizzie smiled, "I feel too heavy, but thanks, I love you too."
Zoom giggled, "No, I meant, you can climb on me. I will wear a saddle, so you are comfortable."
"I like that. We will go tomorrow." Yes, all was well. Strange, she looked around, she could feel someone looking at her, on and off, lovingly. Maybe she imagined it.
Her mother moved to sit by Lizzie and held Lizzie's hand. She told Lizzie, "I still think I am dreaming, such happiness to be with you. My parents will be here soon. They cannot wait to meet you, my sweet princess." Lizzie laid her head in her mother's shoulder. Life was good, indeed.
Young and William Darcy went into Darcy's office. Darcy went by the table with brandy, cognac, scotch, and sherry bottles. He poured himself a brandy, and one glass of scotch, single malt, for Young, who was fond of scotch, though it did not affect him. They sat across each other.
"I can guess what Baby told you. She is a gossip, well, all dragons are. We know it and just live with it. Their gossip is never badly intentioned; they just like to share what they know," Young said, his scowl more pronounced than ever.
Hope peeked out William's pocket, "Not true, most of my brethren are gossips, but Bossy wanted me because my mommy told him I came out of a silver egg. Those hatched from silver eggs are known for their discretion. Your fathers and mother's girls are silver egg hatchlings."
"True, Hope is correct; there are exceptions. Now, my mother told Bossy to stay away for a few decades, but he never listens. He came to see who I had chosen. You see, my mother has been telling my siblings that my wife is here, when they ask why I came. When Bossy heard this, he asked Mother about his chosen one. She told him that his chosen would also be here. He assumed we had the same chosen one and decided to come along, disregarding my mother's recommendations." Young awaited, but no questions were forthcoming.
"I am sorry to say Baby is right. She is almost always right. Many of her mother's hatchlings are desired because they are invaluable in battle; besides their battle skills, they always know where the enemy comes from. They know a lot of things, particularly those hatched from gold spotted eggs like Baby was. Today, Baby, ahem, breathed her fire on the nasty Enchantress' army; Baby knew they were coming from a side door. Zoom stepped on them, to slow them, and to smash a few of them. Zoom is fierce as all of her siblings. All my brothers and sisters have Ollie's hatchlings." Young stopped to get a sip.
"Ah, yes, it would seem the nasty female was expecting an attack. We created an illusion for the passerby, no sense in scaring anyone. There were hundreds of her army, evil creatures. Hunters, who had already smelled them, ended the others in a blink of an eye. They are something with their singing swords. I wish mother could have seen it; but she will later. I am digressing, sorry. Hurst and his cousin wrapped their tails around her and pointed their singing swords until we took care of her. Ah, yes, Bossy has found the chosen for him, your lady. I never saw him behaving so caring, who would have thought." Young waited, but Darcy just sat, listening.
"Yes, Miss Elizabeth is his heart's chosen. I just don't know what he will do next. Bossy is many things, maybe not all of them good; but he is a kind healer, and {o many of his assistants had problems like George. They all love him and are loyal. Now, there is something we all like, when you are with your lady, I mean when you share pleasure with her, if Bossy were around, he would feel like he was the one with her, and when he would be with her, will be the same for you. In actuality, you will feel his pleasure as well. Double the pleasure, is that something to look forward to?" Young grinned, looking totally different. William was always in awe, looking at the Prince siblings.
"I guess that was the case with my father and uncle. I saw them sharing the bed with my mother. Father told me that nobody needed to know; both loved my mother, so I see what you are saying. Richard's uncle lives with his brother and wife, probably more of the same. I am just not ready to let anyone into our love because I waited forever for Lizzie. I saw her first when she was fifteen, only to lose her minutes later. Afterward, I saw her in dreams, which I understand some share; I think it is her gift. Besides, your brother is too proud and bossy." William grimaced. He wanted to say, and Bossy looks too good, what if Lizzie likes him more than me. Nobody could compete with the Prince, William knew it.
"Don't be upset; it might be a long time before it happens. But I won't lie, Bossy won't give up, he cannot; otherwise, he would live pure misery.I would say you are lucky; you don't know how many powerful beings would like to be in your place. I will let you see for a second who I am. My mother allows it, but you won't be able to tell anyone." Young changed. The being in front of him was Young, but he seemed made out of light. Beautiful was not close to what he was. William was in awe; it didn't last, and Young was back.
William asked, "Are you, gods?" He stared at Young with a new understanding. He knew they were powerful, and his uncles and Lizzie's mother had shared the stories they had read about them. They were called the protectors.
Young laughed, "Not at all, but we have been called so. There is more, and we like your kind because, under your skin, you look pretty much like us. And there is a little more, show me your right hand. William did, and Hope, who was looking, snickered.
Young pointed at his hand, near his wrist, there was a symbol, a small one. When he touched it, it glowed above the hand, you could see Young and Georgiana's faces, and another obscured face. Georgiana's face looked like she did earlier. Her lips were moving. "Yes, I see her as she looks at the moment I look. I obscured the other face. I don't want to disclose who the other is. He knows, I hope."
Afterward, Young pointed at William's hand, and above it, they saw Lizzie, William, and Bossy's faces. Just like they looked at that moment. Bossy looked a little sad.
"Bossy has the same, he is already linked like I am, and probably Desi is as well. It happens when we touch the one for us. A shadow of the mark appears when we first see the chosen, but we cannot tell who it is. The real mark appears once we acknowledge our feelings, and links us forever," Young concluded.
William was no longer unhappy. The situation had a lot of possibilities. Besides, he wasn't entirely human, as his uncles pointed out. They said that he needed to stop thinking like one.
"So when I kiss Lizzie, will Bossy feel it when he is here?" William asked.
"I was worried you would ask that; yes, he will feel it, or, maybe, wherever he is as well. This is a different situation, so I am not so sure. Does it matter? He will not do anything to force himself and block private moments when given enough time." Young's answer was noncommittal. He knew otherwise and didn't want to lie. He had seen his brother's face when William embraced his Elizabeth. Bossy was embracing Elizabeth himself; it was apparent.
"Ah, so, Georgie is your chosen; but could you give her some time; she had a hard time. She mourns her babies. She told me so." William told Young.
"I will. Your years are nothing to me. Though you should know, Bossy has never had any patience. He had his own, err, place before he was an adult. He was eating adult fare before he could walk, and so on. Mother says he has compassion for everyone; Bossy has a kind heart. Again, my mother told him to stay away, she knew what would happen, but he never listens. I think you and he have a lot in common. It is always the case. Now, can we go back? Ah, I like you for my brother." Young said, smiling.
William pondered, "I like you as well. I hope I am not like your brother, though many call me proud. I do hope we are not too similar."
Young just smiled; they stood and walked back to be with the others.
Later, in William and Lizzie's room, they lay on the bed. The dogs had moved to the dressing room; they knew better. Hope said, "I know who will be my daddy, he will be here soon. I cannot wait."
William kissed Lizzie's shoulder, "My uncle said Charlie would be here soon. That is why you are getting big so fast. He thinks your cat and your griffin have made the child grow faster; the same happens with the little girl. He also said I should stay away from you," his hand moved up her thigh, "Although it will be difficult, I understand it must be. But let me kiss you here, like earlier. Did you like it?" He said, running his finger along with her sex, his breath shuddered.
"I did, I could do the same to you, but I am not sure, I am so big," Lizzie wondered.
"You can touch me, will you?" He took her hand and placed it over his aroused sex and moved to kiss her. "Yes, like that, I love you so much." Their lips touched, and he opened her lips with his tongue. He moved in her hand, whispering words of love.
In a place across a hole in the sky, Bossy, a mighty prince, the child of rulers of universes, was tending to his sick. He was taking care of a large number of young ones injured during an enemy raid. He was hard at work when his eyes crossed. Right away, he knew he needed to shut the connection. He did so with great effort, kissing Elizabeth was the best thing, ever, and her hand, but it couldn't be, so he raised a shield.
When he had touched her, the link was fully established. But until William and Elizabeth were none in agreement with him, he would do so. He was honorable, his people expected that from him. Bossy waited, then tapped his wrist to look at her face for a second. He saw her face at that moment and sighed. She was glowing with pleasure, what a beauty, he thought.
At Pemberley, William stopped kissing Lizzie; he felt as if he were two beings for a minute, not unpleasant; his cat agreed. "Lizzie, stop, wait, no, don't wait, don't stop." His eyes closed with pleasure. He was living his dream, and it was nearly perfect.
After he was done, Bossy licked his lips and closed his eyes for a couple of seconds. How could a kiss bring such feelings? And her hand, he wished he could have seen what would happen. He wondered how soon he could bring them here, or open a passage between the places. Once again, he tapped his wrist, saw the three faces, and only paid attention to Lizzie's face. Her hair was down, she looked sleepy; he touched the face softly. It was only an image, though nobody was sure.
A message flashed in front of his eyes, his mother's face. "My beloved stubborn son, you were told to stay away, and, now, you will have to wait. You don't want Elizabeth to reject you; she doesn't know you well. Refrain your bossiness, or you will be like your brother Elder. She refused another in their union because she didn't plan to stay. He forced the union when she wanted another, so she left him and their babies. You know that she was killed during an attack on her new home. She had refused his gift to be like him and was quickly killed. And now, he is always sad. Don't force it! Don't intrude in their lives, be fair. I know you want to see her, but you will be with them soon enough."
Bossy, for once, thought about it; time would tell.
Lizzie was in Darcy's arms, better she was using him as a body pillow. Zoom saw her discomfort and blew air that hardened a little bit and cushioned her growing belly. "What did you talk about with Young? Was it about what Baby said? Is it something bad about the babies?"
He kissed her nose, "No, my beauty, nothing bad, probably good, but I must keep his confidence. It isn't about the babies or not directly. Whatever it is, is in the future, not any time soon." Darcy hoped.
"I don't want to impose, but could we ask that Mr. Healer is here as soon as possible? I fear for Charlie. It seems my belly doubles daily. Why are you looking upset?" Lizzie asked.
Darcy sighed, "Not upset, tired. I will ask Desi, go to sleep the wedding is tomorrow. I love you."
Lizzie looked around, "Strange, I feel someone looking at me, on and off. It doesn't feel bad; maybe it is my imagination." She touched her face, "Do we have flies in here? I can will them away." She had felt a flutter on her cheek.
William's eyebrow went up. "Go to sleep, you are overtired."
When she was sleep, William stood up, turned into his cat, and looked around. Although he couldn't smell anyone else in the room, he was nearly certain Lizzie was sensing Bossy. William had tried touching his wrist, but he couldn't see anything.
Oh well, Lizzie loved him, he remembered, in the dreams she loved him. Besides, there was no Bossy in his dreams. But who knew. He decided to follow his own advice, went back into bed, held Lizzie, and patted her belly. "Good night, my loves."
William Darcy went to sleep soundly. No sense in worrying; he had his Lizzie in his arms. All was well.
The End-
