Mina and the rest of the group watched on, as the couple and Pony were talking.
After some time had gone by, the couple paid for their drinks and exited the café.
As Pony was about to leave, Mina stood up and approached her.
"Hey, Pony." Mina said.
Pony turned around and saw Mina, smiling as she saw her.
"Mina, what are you doing here?" Pony asked, sounding a little awkward.
"Hey, you're improving." Mina said, trying to avoid the subject of her presence.
Pony didn't speak for a moment, carefully thinking about the words she would use.
"Yes, Midoriya and his girlfriend are helping me." Pony said.
"Well, that explains what she was doing here with them." Mina thought.
"They went on a date last night, so I asked them if we could meet up today since they were already together." Pony explained.
"He snuck out?!" Mina thought, in disbelief.
Later.
As the sun began to set, Midoriya and his girlfriend made their way back to the school.
"I'm sorry that we had to leave so soon." She said.
"Don't worry about it, if we had stayed longer, Mina probably would've caught on." Midoriya said.
"Do you think that they noticed that we saw them?" She asked.
"I don't think so, we were pretty subtle about the whole thing." Midoriya said.
"They'll probably figure out that you snuck out last night." She said.
"It's not sneaking out if you get permission to leave." Midoriya said.
"It is when you don't tell your friends about it." She pointed out.
"Midoriya, keeping secrets from your friends, some things never change." She teased him.
"Unlike you." Midoriya replied.
"What?" She asked.
Midoriya smiled and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a loving embrace.
"You've changed so much." Midoriya said.
"You were so sweet and caring when we first met." Midoriya said.
"So, I'm not sweet and caring now?" She asked, while pretending to be insulted.
"You are, more than ever, but, you've also become more daring and bold." Midoriya said.
"Is that a good thing?" She asked.
She removed her mask, to let him see her smile.
"I loved you then and I love you now." Midoriya said.
Midoriya leaned in and kissed her.
Neither one of them had wanted to break the kiss, as they both knew that afterwards, it would be awhile before they would get the chance to kiss again.
Eventually, Midoriya broke the kiss and let out a breath as he smiled.
"I love you too, Midoriya." She said.
Midoriya chuckled.
"What is it?" She asked.
"We've been dating for this long and we've known each other even longer and you're still calling me by my last name." Midoriya said, in amusement.
She kissed him on the cheek and then leaned in to whisper something to him.
"It's like you said, I've been more daring and bold, but I still cherish some of my old values." She whispered.
"I want our relationship to be known and accepted before I call you by your first name." She told him.
Midoriya happily sighed and released her from his embrace.
"Then that will be one of the days that I can't wait for." Midoriya said.
"Do you think that it will ever happen?" She asked.
"I hope so." Midoriya said.
"All Might made the right decision, when he chose you." She said.
With that, she left to go to her dorm, leaving Midoriya standing there to contemplate everything.
"So, you told her about your quirk." Bakugo said.
Midoriya turned to see Bakugo, standing there with a look of annoyance.
"Yeah." Midoriya replied.
"Are you insane?!" Bakugo shouted.
"All Might gave you his quirk and this is how repay him!" Bakugo shouted.
"All Might told his secret to people that he could trust, what should make me any different?" Midoriya questioned.
"All Might didn't tell some random girl, who's too much of a coward to show her face." Bakugo said.
In the blink of an eye, Bakugo saw Midoriya standing right before him, only a few inches away from his face.
Midoriya was glaring at him, not with determination like his usual glare, but with actual anger.
"Watch your mouth, Bakugo." Midoriya threatened him.
Bakugo was taken aback by both Midoriya's rage and the fact that Midoriya hadn't called him by his usual nickname.
Midoriya stepped back and turned to walk away, before stopping.
"She's learned a lot from me and she's taken so many risks just by being with me." Midoriya said.
"You think that I've let All Might down by telling her, but what do you know?" Midoriya questioned.
Midoriya turned around to face him.
"She's more of a hero than you'll ever be!" Midoriya shouted.
"What was that, Deku?!" Bakugo shouted.
"You heard me." Midoriya said.
"The one thing that she has reminded me of is what I'm doing this for, helping people and saving them with a smile on my face." Midoriya said.
"You don't care about saving anyone or valuing anyone else's life but your own, you think being a hero is just about beating the villains and holding a top spot, like it somehow makes you better than everyone else." Midoriya told him.
"All you care about is being the best and surpassing us." Midoriya said.
Bakugo didn't respond, standing there as if he wasn't sure of whether or not to be angry.
"He might be right, but why is he bringing this up now?" Bakugo thought.
Midoriya sighed, letting his anger subside a little.
"You're admirable, but being a hero and dealing with these situations goes beyond us." Midoriya said.
"We need to value those around us, because you never know what could happen." Midoriya said.
Midoriya's expression changed to one of sadness, as he looked away from Bakugo.
Midoriya let a few tears fall.
"I can't lose her." Midoriya thought.
Bakugo put his hand on Midoriya's shoulder, awkwardly trying to comfort him.
"That girl has given Deku more confidence than he's ever had." Bakugo thought.
"Relax, I understood what you meant." Bakugo said.
"We both have different styles in terms of being heroes, but there are times when we need to put that aside for the sake of others." Bakugo said.
"I never claimed to be a hero who rescues others, but there might be some slight truth to what you said about me." Bakugo said.
Midoriya chuckled at that, finding Bakugo trying to be humble amusing.
"So, you're dating her." Bakugo said.
Midoriya flinched in fear.
"I caught a glimpse of her face before she left." Bakugo said.
"You won't tell anyone, right?" Midoriya asked.
Bakugo smirked and walked away from Midoriya, heading towards the dorms.
"Your secret is safe… for now." Bakugo said.
