Chapter 17 Where Is Virgil
The year is 2059, Gordon is 16 years old and Alan is 15 years old. In this chapter, Alan doesn't have James yet.
It's been 10 hours since Virgil and Scott left for the doctors, poor Jamien was left on Tracy Island with the others. The hole time Virgil and Scott were gone the more Jamien started pacing and whining. Gordon and Alan walked in the lounge room, Gordon walked over to the sofa and turned on the tv but Alan saw Jamien laying under the piano. Alan walked over to Jamien and sat down next to the piano.
" Jamien, Jamien", Alan said while taping on the floor.
Jamien lifted his head and look at Alan, Alan was holding out his right hand. Jamien got to his feet and walked over to Alan and cured up in Alan's lap. Alan started patting Jamien on his back, Jamien lifted his hand off for Alan's lap and look over at the window.
" What is it Jamien", Alan said while looking at Jamien.
Gordon turned down the tv volume and look over at Alan.
" I think Thunderbird one is home", Gordon said while looking at Alan.
" Thunderbird one coming in for landing", Scott said over the radio.
Gordon walked over to their father's desk were the radio was sitting, he picks up the radio and hold down the talk button.
" F.A.B Scott", Gordon said over the radio to Scott.
Gordon placed the radio back on the desk and walked back to the sofa and sat down, Alan watched Gordon sat down on the sofa and wonder what was happening.
" Jamien came on, move", Alan said while moving his legs to make Jamien get up.
Jamien got to his feet, watched Alan get up off the floor, and walked over to Gordon. Jamien sat down on the floor and tiled his head wondering what the Tracy's were doing. Jamien heard Scott enter the room through his launch tunnel, Scott walked in the room and saw Jamien sating down next to the piano. Scott got down on his knees and held out his hands.
" Came here Jamien", Scott said in a playful tone.
Jamien stood up and ran over to Scott when Jamine reached Scott he started sniffing his clothes and looking for Virgil, Scott gave Jamien some pates and stood back up and walked over to Gordon and Alan sitting on the sofa.
" So, What is going with Virgil? Gordon asked Scott.
" Well", Scott said while sitting down on the sofa.
" Virgil appendix was close to bursting, they are going to do surgery on his appendix night", Scott said while looking at Gordon and Alan.
" Is he going to be ok? Alan asked with a worried tone to his voice.
Gordon wrapped his arm around Alan.
" Virgil strong and tough, he will be ok", Gordon said while hugging his younger brother.
Later that night Jamien was laying on Virgil's bed, cuddle up against Virgil's toy that he has had since a baby. Jamien lifts his head because he heard someone coming down the hallway. Alan and Scott were walking down the hallway to their bedrooms, Scott finished his conversion with Alan and walked in his room and closed the door behind him, Alan walked passed Virgil's room and looked into his room. Alan saw Jamien laying on the bed against the toy, Alan sighed when he looked at Jamien and walked into the room and sat down next to Jamien.
" You ok boy", Alan said while stocking his hand down Jamien's back.
Jamien lifts his head to look at Alan and sighed at him.
" I know you miss him but Virgil will be back soon", Alan said to Jamien.
Jamien layed his head back down on the bed and closed his eyes.
" Came Jamien you can sleep with me until Virgil comes back for the hospital", Alan said to Jamien while standing up.
" Came on boy", Alan said to Jamien and walked out the room.
Alan stops in the doorway and turned around to look at Jamien, Jamien jump off the bed and walked over to Alan.
" Came on Jamien follow me", Alan said while walking down the hallway.
They reached Alan's bedroom, Alan pushed his door open and walked into the room with Jamine following behind him. Alan walked over to his tallboy and pulled out his PJs, Jamien followed Alan into his room. Jamien sniffed the ground and jumped up on Alan's bed, Alan changed into his PJs and walked over to the bed. Alan looked at Jamien and patted him on the head, Alan grabbed the corner over the doona and lifted it. Alan climbed under the covers and layed down, Jamien crawled and curled up next to Alan and layed his head on Alan's chest. Alan placed his right hand on Jamien's back and fall asleep.
