JELLAL P.O.V.
I closed my eyes for a few moments before our paradise had to end, and had to deal with reality. I feel Erza moving, so I slowly opened my eyes to see her with those brown eyes.
"What's wrong?" She asked me before attempting to get up, but failing again. "I give up on moving today" She playfully says before laying back down.
"How about I make us some breakfast?" I saw her smile go wide, I slowly moved her off of me before heading towards the kitchen. I'm in the mood for some waffles and I think we have some whipped cream in the fridge.
ERZA P.O.V.
I rested my eyes for a moment and then I heard a thunder tone from Jellal's phone. I wonder who can it be? I grabbed his phone to see a message from Ultear in the notifications.
Whatever you do please keep Erza away for the next few hours
What does this mean? I don't think this is good because I'm sure this has to do with Laxus. Laxus, even now his name has fear attached to it. I used to think he could never harm anyone, but from my stitches and Jellal's bruises tell a different story. I ran my hand to the back of my head, and felt each and every stitch. One…. two….. Three…. Four…... Five... Six... and I kept counting until I got to 14. He gave me 14 stitches just because he thought I was cheating, and I'm afraid what he will do when we go to court. I'm lucky to have the Order of Protection, but he already broke it once. Is this why Jellal kept me here, to protect me?
"Scarlet, I have the breakfa-" He stopped as soon as he saw me looking at his phone, and gently placed it down."I can explain," I smiled and place my hand on top of his.
"You don't need to, for all the years I've known you if you're not telling me something then it's for good reason. You'll tell me when you can because I know you." I kissed him softly before sitting back down.
"Still, I want you to explain what is happening today and how important it is that we stay away for today." He held my hands and took a deep breath, so then I knew it was that serious. I moved closer towards him to see his face. I see the bruises in the sunlight, and I can't help to feel responsible for this. If I had just kept my mouth shut then we wouldn't be put into this position, but I wouldn't be here with Jellal.
"Jellal, let's eat breakfast before we talk about this because I'm starving" Then I saw his smirk just then I knew he was going to say something dirty.
"I bet you are, since we worked out last night" I rolled my eyes and smacked him on his chest. He picked up the tray and handed it over to see some belgium waffles with toppings including whip cream, blueberries, strawberries, and honey. Then we have eggs, bacon, sausage, and some orange juice.
"I just remember why I love you" I said right before putting a forkful of waffle into my mouth. I let a little moan escape my lips before continuing to eat my breakfast.
JELLAL P.O.V.
We're quietly eating our breakfast but it was because Erza was enjoying her food so much that she didn't waste time talking. She's always been like that especially when she wanted to savor the moment. I couldn't help but to smile at the thought about how she feels about everything that has happened.
I looked over to see that she was done, and I gathered our plates then put them on the tray. I moved it to the dresser and gave all my attention to Erza because I need to tell her everything.
"Erza, I need to tell you what is going on today in court. Ultear and Meredy are representing you today in family court." He eyes widen when I mention Meredy
"Wait, isn't Meredy known for being a child advocate?" I nodded my head and continue
"Right, they are the best team to have in family court. Ultear didn't want you to face Laxus in court and plead with the judge to let you not show to court today. We will have to go down tomorrow, but he won't be there. They have a plan to ensure your's and Rosemary's safety and I will explain more in detail when they come back from court." She nodded her head and then looked at her phone.
"What's Rosemary doing right now?"
"She's with Lucy and they went swimming Rin and Sylvia" I said and she smiled.
" That sounds fun! I know she loves hanging out with them." I rolled my eyes "What?"
"It's nothing, but I just don't want her around Rin…" And she gave me that look. "You know she's too young to be around boys!"
"Jellal, if I had those rules then we wouldn't be here. Plus it's good to be around both genders."
"I know, and I overheard Juvia wanting another baby" She smiled and hugged me.
"I know, she told me but don't you remember how we first met?" I smiled at her and I thought about it…
