Picking up her mug of coffee, Kate turned and watched as Ducky emerged from the only small bedroom in the cabin, softly closing the door behind him, leaving it ajar just enough so they could hear Tony if he awoke and needed anything. Turning to pick up the mug of tea, she turned back and handed it to the ME as he reached her before asking softly, "How is he, Duck?"

"Sleeping, I gave young Anthony a light sedative as well as some pain medication." Ducky answered as he accepted the mug of coffee before he turned back to stare at the semi-closed bedroom door. "He should sleep for a couple of hours."

Kate nodded as she glanced at Ducky before asking, "Have you ever met him, Ducky?"

Ducky frowned in confusion, turning to look at Kate, "Met who, my Dear?"

"Tony's father."

"I'm afraid not but from what Tony has told us about him, I gather they don't keep in touch much." Ducky sighed as he took a small sip of his tea before lowering the mug and continuing, "Although under the circumstances of Tony's mother dying, Tony's father must have found if difficult to raise a young son on his own. No, I highly suspect that he left the child raising more to the private schools that he sent Tony to and to an almost parade of nannies, three of whom he married. Two of those marriages, Tony did not about the marriage until months after the divorce. And when there were no adults around, he left Tony to fend for himself."

"Tony's story about his father leaving him behind in a motel in Maui for three days," Kate breathed.

"I'm afraid wasn't a story," Ducky sighed.

"You mean?"

"Yes, I'm afraid that really happened." Kate stared at Ducky in disbelief as the older man continued, "But don't get me wrong, Kaitlin, I am sure in his own way, Tony's father does love his son but-"

Looking back at the bedroom door, Kate finished Ducky's sentence. "But he loves money and himself more."

Ducky nodded, "Yes, I'm afraid it does appear that way."

"Poor Tony," Kate sighed, her heart aching for her friend, shocked and feeling more than a little guilty that the stories she had laughed at and turned into a joke to score points off her friend, when Tony had told them to her, had really been true.

"Yes indeed, poor Tony," Ducky sighed before adding, "but at least now at NCIS, he has found a real family." Taking another sip of his tea before handing the mug back to Kate, Ducky smiled, "Well I don't know about you, but I am starving, and I can whip up a mean canned tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches in minutes. Would you like some, my dear?"

"I would love some canned tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches, Ducky." Kate laughed as she began to grab the saucepan and frying pan out of the small cupboard as Ducky turned and began to grab the ingredients that he would need to make their dinner.

Gripping the phone closer to his ear , his knuckles turning white as his hold on the phone tightened in anger, McVie turned back towards the metal phone box and hissed, "I don't care if Casini scares the hell out of you because you had better be more scared of me! Just remember, I can put you away in a federal prison for the rest of your life, and I promise you that Casini's thugs will look like middle school yard bully wannabe's compared with the cell mate that I will make sure that you are made to share your cell with! So, are you going to do what I say, or do I get that arrest warrant in the works with a warning that you are probably armed and dangerous?" He smiled as he heard the small gun runner rush to reassure him that even though he was scared of Casini, he would co-operate fully with him before asking what he wanted him to say in the phone call to Casini.

Turning back to face the deserted park walking track, McVie's smile morphed into a satisfied grin as he told the terrified younger man on the phone all the information he wanted him to pass on to Casini about DiNozzo's kid's whereabouts in the safe house on the edge of the Shenandoah National Park. His grin widened as he added that DiNozzo was going to join his son later tonight with the money he had stolen.

After listening to the drug runner repeated what he had told him to relay onto the mob boss, McVie nodded before he promised the man that he could keep whatever cash reward that Casini gave him, a reward he reassured the other man that would be quite generous before reminding the other man he had to wait for at least an hour before making the phone call. Turning back towards the metal phone box, he chuckled as he hung the phone up without the courtesy of even saying goodbye before checking the coin return holder for any loose coins. Finding several loose coins, he quickly pocketed him before he turned and began to walk through the park back towards his car, still grinning.

Reaching his car, he glanced down at his watch, he only had a couple of hours to get everything set up.
