Nealy one year later, Hermione and Fred were still going strong. Camilla's condition had worsened and she was deteriorating, but she still insisted on helping out at the shop, even if that ended up with Hermione forcing her to sit down with a cup of tea and a book.

She smiled, as ran her finger along Fred's sleeping face, watching as his face scrunched up. A small giggle slipped out at his expression, but she promptly stopped the minute his eyes opened. She flashed him an innocent grin, as he turned and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her against him.

"Good morning." She mumbled against his chest.

"Mornin', love." He replied, pulling back to kiss her.

For a minute, they were lost in the kiss. One thing Hermione liked was that despite the routine they had fallen into, their relationship was still exciting and everyday was different. Just like this one, she discovered, as her eyes widened and she broke the kiss to bolt for the bathroom.

"Mione?" Fred's voice was cautious, as he rounded the corner to find her draped over the toilet. He rushed over to her and pulled her hair back from her face, gently rubbing her shoulder with the other. "Are you alright?"

She nodded, dropping down to sit on the floor and putting her head on her knees, ignoring the fact that Fred's shirt had fallen.

"Here." Fred said, softly, crouching in front of her with a glass of water.

"Thanks." She took it, gratefully, trying to get rid of the foul taste as he brushed her hair back from her face. "It must've been something that I've eaten."

"Might've been the chicken last night." He commented, taking the empty glass from her and setting it aside.

"Maybe." She groaned, feeling awful.

Without a word, Fred swept her into his arms and carried her into their room before setting her down on the bed. The moment her head touched the soft pillow, she felt exhausted, but her stomach cramped painfully.

When Fred returned, he had a hot water bottle in one hand and two paracetamol in the other.

"You're the best." Hermione smiled, as she hugged the hot water bottle to her stomach, smiling as it alleviated the dull pain.

"I know." He playfully replied, before lying down beside her.

"Don't you have work?" Hermione mumbled, although her actions betrayed her words as she cuddled against him.

"Lee can handle it today." He reassured her, running his fingers through her hair.

"Mm." She hummed, her eyes slipping closed.

It was only days later, that Hermione began to have a nagging thought in the back of her mind. Every symptom pointed towards it, from the sickness to her being late. She was sure by now that Fred might have some sneaking suspicion as well.

So, that was how Fred found her sitting on the lid of the toilet with her head in her hands as her knee jiggled nervously.

"Hermione?" Fred said, coming into the room.

She looked up, looking slightly guilty. She'd wanted to wait until she knew for certain instead of springing the possibility on him and getting his hopes up.

Too late now, as Fred sought out the one thing that would confirm his thoughts. He found it, sitting face down on the sink.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked, softly, crouching down in front of her and taking her hands in his.

"I know how much family means to you. I didn't want to give you a false hope." She admitted, avoiding his eyes. "I don't even-"

"Hermione," He breathed, bringing her attention back to him. "Whether that test is positive or not, it won't change how I feel about you. I love you."

"I love you too." She smiled, before her eyes watered. "I'm scared of the result. I hadn't thought about it, but now that the possibility is on the table, I've never wanted something more."

"It's not a one time deal, we can try again. You don't have to be scared." He told her, softly brushing his knuckles along her cheek. "We'll do it together."

"Together." She nodded, before finding some courage as Fred took her hand and helped her up.

They shared a look, before she reached out with her free hand to pick it up, but she stopped short of turning it over. Fred squeezed her hand reassuringly to remind her that he was there and that they were there for each other. She turned it over, her breath hitching.

"That's a positive, right?" Fred asked, squinting at the test result and bouncing in place.

"Positive." She breathed in confirmation, before they looked at each other.

Wide grins split along their faces, as the realisation hit them. Fred opened his arms and Hermione all but threw herself at him, wrapping her legs around his waist as he spun them around, both of them laughing happily.

"Marry me." Fred breathed, his forehead resting against hers, as they looked into each others eyes.

Hermione kissed him until he was breathless.
