"Mmmm yes! So good!" the female mewled as Inuyasha thrust savagely from behind. "Harder Inuyasha… fuck me harder!"
"Kikyo... Kikyo... Kikyo…" Inuyasha moaned over and over as he fisted her heavy breasts hanging beneath her.
"Why you… disloyal… SON OF A BITCH!" Kagome screamed causing the couple to loose their rhythm and collapse onto the futon in a tangled heap.
"K-Kagome!" Inuyasha paled as he frantically covered he and Kikyo over with a bed sheet.
"Who, who is she?" Kikyo demanded as she desperately clutched the bed sheet over her breasts.
"His wife!" Kagome snapped causing Kikyo to go deathly pale. "Now get the hell out!"
"Let me get my clo…"
"I SAID GET OUT!" Kagome screamed making Kikyo quickly gather as much of her clothing as she could before bolting out the door.
"Kagome let me ex…"
"Shut up!" Kagome snapped as she slammed their bedroom screen behind her. She didn't bother fixing it as it flew off the hinges. "How could you?"
"Look! I didn't plan for this to happen." Inuyasha defended as he pulled on his hakamas. He grunted in frustration as he tried to untangle his feet from under the covers.
"Bullshit!" Kagome hissed as she slapped him hard. "I'm sick and tired of your lies Inuyasha!"
"I'm telling you the truth!" Inuyasha defended as he cupped his angry red cheek. "I got injured on the front lines soon after you went into hibernation. Kikyo was serving as a nurse in the healing tents and we instantly hit it off. I didn't mean to fall away from you… it just kinda happened."
"How romantic." Kagome rolled her eyes as she walked towards the balcony. "So what is she to you?"
"What do you mean?" Inuyasha asked as he followed cautiously behind her.
"Is she your lover or is she just a fuck buddy to pass the time with until I woke up?" Kagome demanded as she turned to glair at her husband with bitter misty eyes.
"She… she is to be my mate come tomorrow morning." Inuyasha said making Kagome's eyes widen slightly in surprise. "She's a miko from the south. Her holy energy has enough power to bind our souls together forever. I, I really like her and she um… she's already pregnant with our first pup."
"Oh…" Kagome paled as she gripped the railing on the porch to keep from throwing up. "Con- congratulations then..."
"Kagome… please don't cry." Inuyasha sighed as the scent of her tears filled his nose. "Look, I'm sorry alright?! I do love you..."
"Not enough for her to get into your heart." Kagome finished making him close his mouth of any other excuse.
"I was going to tell you when you woke up." Inuyasha defended. "Jinengi didn't think you'd stir for three more days. It wasn't my intention for you to find out like this."
"No, I imagine you wouldn't." Kagome sniffled as she wiped her tears on her sleeve.
"I'm really sorry Kags." Inuyasha apologized as he tried to hug her.
"Just stop." Kagome shrugged off his hand as she hugged herself tight with her arm. "You know as well as I do that you've never been loyal. You never think of the consequences until afterwards. You might think you didn't mean to hurt me but deep down inside you didn't care. You just wanted a good fuck. My relationship to you as your wife means nothing, just like it did when we were kids and you fucked that cat in the gardens. I will always be nothing to you. I'm simply a responsibility to your mother."
"That's not true!" Inuyasha growled.
"Then explain your betrayal to me!" Kagome snarled making him flinch. "Was having sex with me so disappointing that you needed to find release from someone else?"
"WHAT?! No!" Inuyasha yelled. "I loved being with you!"
"Then why the hell did you feel the need to sleep with someone else?! Why couldn't you wait until you came home?" Kagome demanded. "You say you didn't mean for this to happen but it takes two to tango. Your lack in self-control is pathetic. You weren't strong enough to wait for me! Your addiction to sex was more important to you than our marriage vow. You chose having sex with her over me because you wanted to!"
"My weakness of the flesh was something you knew of before we got married." Inuyasha argued.
"I did." Kagome acknowledged. "but I hoped your word to love and honor me would have meant something to you. I guess I was wrong... again."
"It did mean something to me." Inuyasha said making her release an empty chuckle.
"Perhaps it did then... but not now." Kagome said making him lower his head in shame. "Don't look so dejected. We both knew this day would come. I just wasn't expecting it to happen months into our marriage."
"I will keep my promise Kagome." Inuyasha said firmly. "You are welcome to stay under my protection for as long as you want."
"Whatever." Kagome humphed as she looked off into the night sky. "You don't look injured."
"Yeah about that..." Inuyasha chuckled nervously. "My original injuries thanks to Kikyo's care healed two months ago. The reason I came home was because Sesshomaru found out I was sleeping with Kikyo behind your back. He got pissed and decided to teach me a lesson. I lost the fight, which then discharged me from the front lines. He made it very clear that I was not permitted to regain my honor until I'd healed from my new injuries and had spoken with you about my affair. The damn bastard however didn't take into account that his poison was sitting in my system for nearly a week. By the time I'd made it home all of my wounds were infected. If it weren't for Kaede's skills I might have died and you would have found out about me and Kikyo through someone else."
"Well at least I know he always has my back." Kagome frowned making him flinch. "Now that you've told me. When do you leave?"
"Most likely the day after my mating ceremony." Inuyasha said.
"Sorry for interrupting your early celebration with your pregnant bitch." Kagome said sarcastically making him sigh dejectedly. "You best go find her. I'm sure Kikyo's confused with me barging in here."
"Good idea." Inuyasha agreed before forcing her to accept his hug. "I really am sorry Kagome. It wasn't planning on falling for Kikyo. Its just…"
"Please go." Kagome said as she pointed towards the door. "Nothing you say to me right now will make a difference."
"Can I at least know were we stand before I leave?" Inuyasha sighed.
"I can't divorce you or risk Kastuki's wrath. I do want a separation of sorts however. I might be your wife legally but our marriage bed is over. You really hurt me Inuyasha and being with you like we once were will be too much. My heart won't be able to handle that." Kagome sniffled. "I think it would be best if I became your maid servant instead of a wife. I refuse to sleep with you but I'll run errands and do your chores for you to earn my keep. Think of me as a housemate now instead of a roommate."
"I... understand." Inuyasha nodded regretfully as his ears pinned back on his head. "I hope one day you'll be able to forgive me. Since you will no longer be in the physical sense my wife, if you do find someone to love I will gladly give you your happiness."
"Alright." Kagome nodded as they walked down the hall. "Well, you best get going. You're running out of time."
"Thanks Kags. I owe you one." Inuyasha said as he kissed her on the cheek tenderly before running down the stairs to chase after Kikyo.
"I'll hold you to that!" Kagome called after him making him laugh.
To Inuyasha's relief he was able to patch things up with Kikyo and explain he and Kagome's situation. With the knowledge that she wouldn't be sharing her mate with another female Kikyo forgave him for hiding Kagome from her. The following morning they were legally mated before the court. Once the papers were signed and his new marriage contract with Kagome was refiled he kissed his beloved Kikyo goodbye and made his way down the blood road. As the weeks ticked by Kikyo and Kagome surprisingly became relatively good friends. Kikyo became Kagome's support in making sure her body got ready to bloom and helped her through the grief of losing Sesshomaru as a mate and Inuyasha as a husband.
When it came time for Kagome's branches to bloom they both waited with anticipation for them to bud. As the days continued to grow warmer Kagome slowly managed to grow three little buds. Two of them unfortunately were not strong enough to survive the cool spring nights but one bud managed to hold on. Although the flower was small it did eventually grow into a mature cherry blossom. It was a miracle that her body, despite the trauma of being poisoned, losing an arm and being roughly transfered to the back gardens that she'd been able to produce flowers again! The news of Kagome's successful heat brought smiles to everyone in the castle.
Perhaps as time went on her body would continue to heal enough for her to carry a child to full term? It was around this time that Lady Abi unfortunately had a miscarriage. The entire kingdom, including Kagome was devastated by the news. Having been close to half way through her pregnancy it was heartbreaking to see the inu demoness crumble with grief. That of course meant Sesshomaru would have to return from the frontlines to procure another heir. Having never experienced a full heat as an adult Kagome wasn't sure what to expect. Since experiencing the pleasures of the flesh with Inuyasha however she had a feeling this heat was going to be much stronger than she'd ever had before.
To her annoyance she was already horny on a 24 hour basis and was having a hard time ignoring her impure thoughts. Had she not practiced Kaede's exercises she might have died from the pain growing in her nether regions. Her body was ripe for the picking making her womanhood crave to be filled and pleasured. Knowing Sesshomaru would be visiting the castle at the pinnacle of her heat didn't help matters either. He'd always enjoyed her blossoming scent and had told her more than once in his love letters that it was like an aphrodisiac to him. With her scent intensifying every day and twisting with the spice of fertility she didn't doubt he'd be equally troubled by the situation.
Considering their past relationship and the fact that they both still loved each other wouldn't help either. Remembering how wonderful it had felt to be pressed up against the back wall with his muscular body between her legs had her dark curls soaking wet. With Inuyasha's blessing to sleep with whomever she pleased she wasn't sure she'd have the strength to avoid the temptation in pushing him away. She'd told herself that she didn't want to be used as someone's play thing but with her hormones all out of whack it was getting harder and harder to keep those train of thoughts at bay. Having physical relations with the man she loved sounded really, really nice. She wasn't thinking rationally anymore.
She knew the dangers of Kastuki and Abi but in her dazed mind the risk for a nice fuck with Sesshomaru was worth it in her opinion. If she wanted to have an affair with Sesshomaru she was free to do so. Of course there would be consequences for doing it but who cared about that when you were having sex with the person you loved? She'd long dreamed of being intimate with him and starting a family. Her body was already sending out smoke signals stating that it wanted to bare his pups. Who gave a damn what others thought. There was a risk she could get pregnant but she didn't care. All she could think about was him making love to her aching body as he filled her to the brim with his essence.
She wanted to have him dominate her, to consume her soul and claim her as his head bitch. She'd told Kikyo about her feelings in regards to their Lord. To her relief, the now three month along pregnant priestess was very understanding and even offered to be her personal chaperone when Sesshomaru came to see Lady Abi. With Kikyo as her escort she could keep Sesshomaru from getting into her kimono. She knew she needed to say yes to Kikyo's offer. The risks of getting caught in having an affair with him was too high. Once he returned to the battle field she'd be at Abi and Kastuki's mercy. There wasn't a guarantee they'd be distracted with this pregnancy like they'd been with the last one.
If they found out she'd slept with Sesshomaru they'd come after her. With her technically still being under Inuyasha's protection they couldn't kill her or physically hurt her without repercussions. They could however make her life ten times worse than it already was. She needed to keep her distance to stay safe. She'd just have to ignore Sesshomaru and take care of her urges by herself. Inuyasha wasn't there to scratch her itch for her and she wasn't about to let anyone else do the job. She'd do her exercises like Kaede instructed and meditate to maintain self control. If she could get through this heat she could survive the next one. Then she could continue to live out her days and nights in peace.
To her dismay, Kastuki and Lady Abi relieved their grief and stress of losing the first pup out on her. At one time they'd tried to cut off her blossom with an arrow. They'd been playing with some targets in the garden when Princess Abi purposefully missed. Thankfully Jinengji had been weeding nearby and was able to intercept the arrow before it made its mark. They'd claimed it had been an accident but everyone knew better. After that, Jinenji took it upon himself to protect Kagome during the day while she slept and Kikyo by her side at night. With their help Kagome was able to protect her budding cherry blossom from being destroyed. Regardless of Kastuki and Lady Abi's feelings the progress of Kagome healing needed to be protected. Maybe... just maybe one day she'd become a mother.
