The excalation of a night

Alright, I am back. It has been a busy week full of events I rather not have had. I hope you guys enjoy the story so far.

Mum and I were still in my room, waiting for dad to return. The man I spoke earlier at the door was still here. We heard the man called Dan, treating Dad, but he didn't give in. Lucas stood firm against Dan to not let him into the house where his family was. Even though Dan already put his foot between the door and refused to leave. Mum and I could hear the conversation, and it was only getting worse.

"Dan, I am suggesting strongly to get that foot out of the doors before it will be broken when I slam the door in your face. You have no right to be here after all."

"Well, you are one to talk son, I have every right to be here and see my granddaughter after all you didn't even introduce us probably. Or should I meet her after she walks home from her high school."

"Dan, just shut up; you lost remember. Just get away from my house !"

"Never, not till I see my granddaughter. Mell, is her name, isn't it?"

Lucas looked angry at dan while yelling upstairs:

"Brooke, you know what to do, and no matter what, don't come downstairs."

Mum heard dad and looked at my while saying:

"Alright, everything is going to be alright. I am going to call Nathan so he can help your dad with this troublesome man. And I want you to text Hailey that she needs to call the police. Text here that Dan is here. She will know enough to inform the police.

"Mum, I will do that. But who is this man? He said he was my grandad. What is going on."

"I will explain later, Mell. Now is not the time. Trust me on this."

Mum was calling Nathan while I texted Hailey.

While mum was on the phone with Nathan, I heard Dan screaming.

"Dear old Lucas, why won't you ever learn that letting Brooke help you out won't work."

Dan pulled out a gun and said," Just let me in, or I will shoot you just like Keith shot you. They don' even know I am out of the prison since the whole prison system can be bought. So let me in, will you?"

"Never, Dan, never. unlike you, I will always protect my family."

"you Bastard, I will let you pay for this"

I ran down the stairs when this happened and saw Dan pointing a gun at Dad. I didn't know what happened, but I, for some reason, yelled:

"Hell no, you won't, I am not going to lose my dad because of some weird man who randomly comes to our house and demands to come inside."

"Well, she is a feisty little thing, isn't she?"

"Okay, first of all, even that to direct for even me. Who the hell do you think you are to treat my dad or me this way."

"Ahh, so she is your dear son. Haha, Never thought you would get dear old miss Davis pregnant. Maybe it's just in your blood then. Isn't it."

Lucas was boiling of anger and hit dan hard in the face with his fist.

You could see his head going backward.

"Never speak of my mother again to my family or me, dan."

At that moment, we heard a car driving up the driveway. I saw it was uncle Nathans's car immediately. Dan turned around and said, "Well, you needed to call your little brother in to support you. Never thought I would see the day that that happened."

Nathan jumped out of the car and got into dan's face and said: "Get the hell out now before the police arrive."

"Well, son, since you asked so nicely. I will. Unlike your dear old brother here. Who hasn't been welcoming at all." Dan said, while laughing.

He was about to walk away from the house until he got his gun and shot a shot very close in the wall nearby me.

"Let's say that is a warning, dear old son. Ever threat me like that again, and who knows what could happen to your so-called family here."

Are you guys, alright. Nathan asked when Dan left.

Yeah, I am okay. I reacted, but I am very confused.

"I am fine, Nathan. Just a bit shook up, i guess.

"Brooke, are you still upstairs?" Lucas asked

We saw mum coming down the stairs into the hallway. She looked disappointed at me and said: "Lucas, I think you and Nathan need to tell Mell and me something."

That's how the evening ended with us four at the dining table shaken up because of the events and dad and Nathan explaining to us what happened.

So apparently when mum left the country a lot had happened between the brothers and their father. There had been multiple occasions when he treated my grandma live. Dan shot my great uncle and got prison time for that. But my supposedly grandad did more things than that. It was just too much to handle to learn all of this in one evening. Although it also made me more proud of dad and uncle Nathan, how they came out of all this stuff. The conversation ended with a note to not tell any of my friends about this stuff unless they weren't from tree hill. Everybody that was my parent's ages knew about these stories but kept quiet.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I will try my best to write another one this week. Also, don't worry about this storyline with Dan won't be over yet. Next episode we will find out who will be in the basketball team and how brett is going to handle it.
