Alice. Syfy story.

Alice and Lindsey

Chapter seventeen: Break Out!

(Lindsey pov.)

I don't know where they put Alice. All I knew was she was thrown into a different room and I was dragged away.

I hoped Charlie heard his alarm and he and Hatter were on their way.

"I would like to talk to the girl a moment." I heard Chris voice.

The suit bowed to her like and was some princess and stepped aside for a moment.

Chris had this odd look on her face. I was being dragged away, Alice was being tortured to get the ring out of her, and-

"Relax." She said. "Did Alice show you the watch?" She asked me.

I thought back a moment, yes. She remembered it was her father's. But he was missing. Don't tell me... "Is he really...?"

"Yes. But it's not too long before the truth comes out. We aren't the enemy here." She said.

"And with that, she stepped back and I was dragged away again.

(Hatter pov.)

I knocked on the door and found a way into the casino.

It was easy since the guard was too dumb to see it was me.

"Where do we go Charlie?" I asked him. I didn't know why, but we made it pretty far into this place.

He seemed to think he was the hero here, and his dark arts powers told him other-wise.

"Let me tap into the mystical-"

"Charlie." I was getting impatient. Alice and Lindsey were in trouble and he was wasting time-

"If your looking for Lindsey, you'd better hurry." A voice spoke. I turn and a woman is walking past us.

"Where?" I whispered.

"Upstairs. Hurry!" She said before she turned back around and ran off.

"Down here! Take the second left at the stairs that lead up to the third floor, then after the double doors, take the third walkway on the right, over the fitness c enter to Reception B, and ask Shila!" Charlie said suddenly.

"Shila?"

"Maybe it's Shakena. Come on!" He said running off.

I rolled my eyes and went after him.

(Chris pov.)

I watched as Hatter and the Knight made their way up to help Lindsey before March got to her. She wouldn't last too long with him.

But my sister... "What happened? Did Jack not talk?"

"You shut it!" She snapped at me. "You'd tell me why. Wouldn't you?" She asked me.

"Honestly, I went with him to keep an eye on him. I didn't think he'd taken the ring with him and given it to this girl!" I snapped at her. "I'm sorry sis. I wish I could be more help. But I told you and the queen, I only followed him to keep an eye on him. I have no idea what goes on in his head." I told her.

She sighed but didn't drop her glare. "The odd thing is, dear sister, I know for a fact, that you do. It's WHAT you are, afterall." She said and pushed past me.

I held my breath as she did. I only hoped Lindsey and Alice could return home safe and take the ring with them. If the looking-glass was still working.

(Lindsey pov.)

I didn't know how far we were going but it was pretty far from Alice.

But then everything changed in one glance.

"Lindsey!" Looking up, I saw Hatter and Charlie on the other side of the building. "Hatter!" I was so overcome with joy I could have leaped over to them.

Which I might not have had a choice. Seeing the men running to me, I knocked the suit out quick and stood up on the rails.

"Jump! I'll catch you!" Hatter shouted holding his hand out.

"You better." I told myself. I took a deep breath and jumped to him. He grabbed my arm and I grabbed him. He pulled me up and we started running.

"You okay?" He asked when we could catch our breath. I was so happy I hugged him. "Better now that you came." I said. I pulled away to look at Charlie. "Your alarm?"

"Oh. You set it off?" He asked me. I nodded. "Alice and I were cornered. I tried to get her to come back but then...Mad March was there. Alice didn't bother, but I only ran so I could warn you guys. I'm glad you both came." I said. "We need to head down to get Alice. She's with some doctor twins." I said.

"Doctor Dee and Dum? You've got to be kidding me." Hatter sighed.

"That bad?" I asked. He nodded. "Psycos."

"So, just worse then the children's book tells. I figured they were the worst of the people in wonderland. Before I got to the queen." I said quick.

Hatter looked at me like he was impressed and yet confused. "I read the book as a child. The one thing that got me through all my troubling times." I said defending myself. I was a bookworm. I'll admit it. But I'm not letting someone from my childhood stare at me for knowing too much of something.

"Let's get going then." Hatter said.

"This way!" I said pointing as we headed down. "Hang on Alice." I mumbled. Or that might have been Hatter? I don't know. we were both pretty focused.
