Somewhere else distant from Satan City
Having sent Usa away from danger Gohan and the other group of his family pressed on blazing past all over the surrounding forest but at the right amount of pace. They had ran deep in a sea of trees letting Sare pursue them away from both the former Moon Princess and any Human hiking around the place, they intend for this confrontation to only be between Saiyans. The plan seemed to have worked as the violent and very intentful Saiyan was hot on the half-breeds trail with the thoughts and desires over Usa's powers tainting his mind with greed.
"You can't escape me!" Sare gritted his teeth with a very gruff attitude.
As he ran swiftly miles behind Gohan and his family members closing in roaming past larger sized trees he suddenly felt the need to halt himself with his mind catching something unexpected. He let his expression go from obsessive fixation to concentration in just a mere second as he stood his position there on the dirt and tree branch layered ground closing his eyes in order to study the reading. The full blooded Saiyan had found there was a familiar ki signal at the opposite direction from where he and the Sons and the Briefs were heading and while focusing on the link he had found that it was a member of his current rivals' family.
"Why is this one over there?" Sare thought in his mind.
He didn't know why the family of the Demi-Saiyans would choose to not fight him and his crew with full force since he knew they only had three members compared to Goku and Vegetas' pack and why this one of theirs would be that far away from Satan City; it was of course unless they had something planned which didn't take him long to see it.
"Grrrrrr! Raaaahhhhhh!" After opening his eyes Sare tightened his extended fingers then growled before letting out an angry roar and frustratingly claw swiping violently onto a nearby tree trunk leaving a greatly visible slash mark across it.
Now that he concluded what they were up to he changed his initial direction instead to running to where Bura had revealed her location now that he had deduced Usa was with her instead of Gohan.
Before the Earth born Saiyans and Vegeta could proceed further they had sensed that Sare was not following them anymore as they had hoped which caused Gohan to be the first to notice the behavior as he stopped running then joined by Marron, Trunks, and Vegeta.
Gohan suddenly worried over the event. "He's no longer going after us."
He then alarmingly turned his attention to where Sare went. "Oh no Usa!"
Returning to the hotel room the Human-Alien trio were staying at Bura had to deal with the situation she felt she was responsible for making only to have both Goten and Usa attempt to ease her shame in her actions.
"I can't believe this I screwed up, and it's all my fault!" Bura tearfully grasped each sides of her light blue hair shaking over her loss of control.
Goten caringly put his hands gently on her shoulders helping her keep herself together. "Bura please don't be upset."
"I used too much of my ki and now I've endangered Usas' life, I can feel Sare he has changed his direction and now he's coming here! He knows we have Usa and will get to her! I can't believe I was so careless!" Bura let out her feelings of failure.
Usa felt the need to step in and calm her. "Bura it's alright you needed to save that girls life. If it wasn't for you she wouldn't have made it out alive and now she's with her family because of you. You should be grateful."
The daughter of Vegeta and Bulma tried her best to hold back her tears so that she could concentrate better then turned to Usa. "I know but by saving her life I may have traded yours and we have to move from here now before it's too late."
"I think I may have a plan that will throw Sare and his pack off." Goten suggested grimly. "It's going to require both me and you together while we leave Usa here."
Bura taken back by his words had to object quickly and disagreed out of over-protection. "What you want us to just leave her behind while Sare could arrive here at any time!"
Goten further explained. "He still doesn't know for sure if Usa is with us. If it's just me and you going and letting him follow us he wouldn't think we would abandon Usa. We just have to let him follow our ki and run as fast as we can."
Usa came and joined in to ask out of concern. "But what if they do catch up to you guys? What will you do?"
Goten turned to Usa with his conclusion."At best we can atleast try to tell them we were avoiding the fight and you had left town. At worst Sare and the rest will overwhelm us and try to torture us both. I am hoping my brother and Vegeta will arrive to help us in time."
Usa added with serious worry in her ruby red eyes."I don't know if I'm worth all of this."
The selfless blue haired teen walked up to Usa's position then in a friendly-hood kind of bond placed her caring hands all over her pink haired friends shoulders as she offered her face of confidence. Usa then turned her attention towards her still unsure for her friends' trouble.
"Trust me we will do anything for you no matter the cost as my second sister of our troop." Bura proudly accepted.
Usa didn't want to complicate things so she willingly agreed to let them go on ahead as she nodded in affirmation. With their newly improvised plan settled Bura and Goten immediately left the hotel then made their way as far from the area as they possibly could. They had informed Usa that remaining in the room would be the best course of action for her and they promised to come back in time since it wouldn't take Sare and the rest of the Sons and Briefs long to finally meet and end the conflict.
Usa was aware that she was going to stay for awhile in the room her friends paid for so she decided to pass the time by sitting down on the front end of one of her beds and watch what's on the TV; perhaps to check on some News to see if Sare somehow was sighted on his way allowing her to keep a watchful eye on his whereabouts just incase.
Usa had seated herself with her legs crossed, left arm resting on her knees, and used her right hand to control the buttons on the remote. "I guess if there's nothing to confirm a violent alien is on the loose I could always find some interesting game shows to laugh at." She said in a rather uninterested and bored expression as her eyes felt half asleep.
She flipped through the channels allaying herself knowing there was no way she was going to get caught so long as she stayed put and out of the public space staying invisible. In an immediate turn of events she had finally gotten the News she was looking for as the title revealed itself "Child Student from school fire saved!"
Usa quickly gave a burst of attention for what was on screen as she saw more interest in something recognizable.
"Not too long ago this young student identified as Kari was injured but thankfully survived despite being separated from the staff and her classmates." The reporter informed.
The screen had shown The little girl Bura saved earlier named Kari being carried around by the shoulders by a woman presumably her mother.
He continued.
"Many victims of the fire had confirmed that there were two individuals not from the school who had come to the rescue and safely escorted everyone out of the building. Unfortunately we could only identify them as one male and one female in their teens however thanks to the efforts of those two good sumeritans no one was fatally harmed and all have survived."
The reporter then approached Kari with his microphone then offered her the device to speak.
"Any word you would like to say about the two people who saved you?"
The young girl happily smiled then spoke out generously. "The girl that saved me was so fast like a superhero. I hope she's watching me because I want to tell her "Thank you, you are my hero. Please keep using your powers for good."
Usa couldn't help but feel clamored as she grinned over what her friends' had accomplished and the recognition they had received.
"I can't see why the Galactic Unification Empire would want to hurt these Saiyans. They saved innocent Earthling shouldn't they get a pass for that." She thought.
Feeling the need to rest Usa decided to turn off the television with the remote then dived backwards landing her back against the mattress behind wanting to have a little nap awaiting for further progress from her Saiyan companions.
Some hours later.
Usa was fast asleep in-between times and the day had now turned night outside, Usa was peaceful and undisturbed in her room which allowed her to keep her worries at bay. In isolation things didn't seem to go bad from where she is despite the bad reputation of dangerous Saiyans destroying cities but that only meant that even full blooded and battle seeking aliens like Sare knew better than to draw attention to their worst enemies and risk extinction.
After some time had passed Usa found herself fully rested and had woken up.
"Haaaahh!" Usa sat back up and yawned before stretching her arms out as she rose.
Now that she was able to fully reinvigorate herself from that moment of peace and quiet and ready to move if the time was necessary which it really wasn't, Usa wanted to be sure she kept an eye out for anything so she reached for the remote nearby aiming to turn on the T.V. immediately for any signs.
"So far the building didn't collapse, and I'm doing just fine where I am. By now Sare should've already been causing trouble and drawing me and my friends out." Usa notified before picking up the remote then pushing the on button.
After activating the T.V. screen the News channel which she had just left off earlier once again had broadcast.
"Tragedy has once again struck our town after having already recovering from the school fire!" The same reporter who before sounded very optimistic had now shifted into acting out of apprehension. "Kari the rescued student from the fire has of now just been kidnapped!"
"Gah!" Usa gasped then looked closer to the lower title entry of the event called "Child Survivor of fire now kidnapped!"
The reporter continued. "Not long after we had spoken to Kari just yesterday someone was apparently able take her away without any kind of trace."
The News then went over to the segment showing two adults with the title labeling them "Parents of kidnapped victim!"
One of Kari's parents was now with a man presumably her father, they both embraced in a comforting hug as they tried to let out their words.
Kari mother tearfully tried to explain while also trying desperately to stay strong. "I don't understand what in the hell happened Kari was just right there on the grass in our front-yard, all the houses are fenced up and we didn't see or hear anyone coming from the back, or the roof, or anywhere."
"It can't be." Usa horrifyingly listened.
The reporter kept on talking. "Despite the neighborhood she currently lives in being populated enough that anyone should've been able to catch a glimpse of the criminal, Somehow not one person was able to witness who had taken Kari from the front of her own yard with multiple bystanders walking nearby, a man driving back from work in the same area and even one of the neighbors next door who was cutting his grass during the time; no one had seen a suspect or any irregular person."
It was then the father stepped in to say something. "We know she was kidnapped by someone when whoever did this had left us this note."
Karis' dad shakingly pulled out something apparently left behind by the kidnapper. Within his hands he had unraveled what looked like a piece of yellow notepaper; carefully he opened it up then showed something in front of the camera.
The words inscribed in the letter were written in red marker "EXPOSED! Find me for the girls life!"
"Ahh!" Usa screamed then covered her mouth in shock and dread as she knew who was behind the kidnapping of her friends rescued child.
She couldn't bear to watch anything on screen anymore and with lightening fast speed Usa immediately picked up the remote then turned off the T.V. before throwing the remote aside into the soft mattress carelessly.
"Oh no! Oh no! Oh no! Oh no no no no no no!" Usa intensively panicked as she walked right off the bed then gripped her fist together infront of her face and tightened her arms in then alarmingly shook in trembling worry.
She was unable to sit down as she knew if something wasn't done immediately the poor girl Kari will be harmed.
Usa exhaled trying her best to calm down for the situation; tears were exposing from her eyes "I know where he is. I'm sorry Gohan but I just can't let that girl get hurt in any way."
Not wasting anymore time sitting in her safe-house she rushed towards the door knowing she was the only one there who could somehow help Kari even though it was exactly what Sare wanted the daughter of the former Moon Queen would never let her selfishness get in the way of others especially a girl as young as Kari who was now dealing with two incidents in her life. Usa couldn't stand it even if it meant her own life; she went out to face Sare all on her own at her most vulnerable state.
To be continued...
