The former villain, dressed in some grey khaki shorts and a plain black t-shirt that actually fitted and that Jinx had fortunately bought for him before, was outside the Hive Five's furtive door that led into their homely base. Kyd Wykkyd- no, it was only Elliot Knight now, knocked fearfully, holding his breath frightenedly as his sensitive demon ears heard grumpy footsteps approaching. The plain door slid open to reveal a familiarly cantankerous Gizmo, crossing his arms suspiciously. Initially, he gawked with incredulous shock up at Elliot before it became a relieved smile.

"Kyd! Glad to see you! We're really sorry, Kyd! You have to tell us what's happened!,"Gizmo exclaimed brightly, yet also guiltily.

"I- err...hey,"Elliot replied uneasily.

Gizmo ushered him inside excitedly, yammering enthusiastically about all of his new gadgets and some of the Hive Five's most recent shenanigans. However, Elliot Knight wasn't really listening anymore, just fidgeting uncomfortably. How could he possibly tell his beloved friends he had decided to live a normal life? In order to not give in to the vehement urge to simply pretend he was joining again, he thought merely of Wally West, which assisted immensely. With a start, he realised that Gizmo was unconsciously holding Elliot's pale hand: he must really have missed him after all as he never used physical, never mind audible affection. Elliot Knight looked dolefully at the homely corridors, biting his ghostly white lips anxiously as he was led eagerly with his hand by an almost nonsensically chattering Gizmo. Elliot rubbed his thumb over the young villain's knuckles, feeling bile rise in his throat. He imagined Gizmo's pained face as he found out his brotherly friend was to leave them, even if he wasn't going to spar against them. Elliot swiftly caught sight of the toilet door and cowardly mused of an intelligent idea to escape this horrible emotion inside of him.

"Ugh-I...err, need to go to the toilet,"he stuttered nervously, teleporting panickedly into the hygienic bathroom and locking the plain door securely.

Elliot looked desperately at his unusual reflection as he cupped his pale face in his hands despairingly. He looked greatly guilty and immensely flustered and had blanched slightly. His once straight nose was crooked now, which didn't particularly compliment his narrow facial features and literally his pointed, elvish ears were actually drooping purely from the heavy weight of burdening rue. His pale hand tightened around the small Hive Five communicator he was to return and the other gripped his newly stolen iPhone. With a desperate sigh, he bought out his recent smartphone and rang Kid Flash anxiously. Wally answered rapidly.

"Wally...I can't do this,"Elliot whimpered despondently.

"Yes, you can, Ellie! Remember what I said? You'll be great,"Flash assured confidently.

"But I- I can't, okay? They will be so hurt! And I won't be able to close my eyes without thinking that I-,"Elliot Knight replied panickedly.

"Do you need me to come, El, before you hyperventilate?,"Kid Flash teased mockingly.

Elliot scowled irritatedly and hissed annoyedly,"Shut up, Wally. I'm not going to hyperventilate. You're so stupid."

"Sure. Says the boy who let himself get a wonky nose!,"Wally West taunted tormentingly as he burst into amused laughter.

Yes, Wally had found it rather entertaining to point out his now crooked nose constantly, teasing literally any chance he received. Jinx was more kinder, merely ignoring it- something else that was different about her. Elliot had observantly noticed she seemed more warm and less vexed, like she had been before as the Hive Five's leader. Also, she was a lot pleasanter towards him, though he couldn't decipher why. Elliot Knight had made no particular effort to lighten his average, cantankerous demeanour himself with her or anything, so he was genuinely clueless at her increasing warmth. Elliot was swiftly snapped out of his irked reverie by the sound of Jinx enquiring curiously at Flash's call and mocking sniggers.

"Wally? I'm guessing you're talking to Elliot, if you're going on about noses. Don't worry about it, Elliot,"Jinx sighed exasperatedly.

Abruptly, Elliot Knight heard several footsteps advancing excitedly and he unlocked the toilet door, hiding behind it. Evidently, he had to be swift.

"Look, guys, I'll see you later,"Elliot hastened hurriedly, already hanging up the call and teleporting near the eager villains practically sprinting to meet him.

He found this greatly flustering and heartwarming at the same time. He attempted to plaster a cheerful smile across his pale face, thinking of what will be the beloved Hive Five's heartbroken faces. Elliot took a shaky breath, urgently readying his troubled mind for this. After all, he wasn't going against them- just leaving peacefully.

Mammoth bounded in initially, swiftly followed by an eagerly growing crowd of Billy Numerous' and an excitedly yammering Gizmo. Each were a mix of immense guilt, relief, friendship and exhilaration, when Elliot's was great fear, abashment, remorse and care. Mammoth smiled toothily and wrapped him in a tight embrace, which would be pleasant if he didn't happen to be the strongest teenager alive. Elliot Knight initially gasped as he literally couldn't breathe anymore, and was completely winded, which the Gizmo could clearly see.

"Err-snotbrain, he can't breathe,"he pointed out exasperatedly.

"Oh, umm sorry, Kyd,"Mammoth laughed apologetically, nervously lowering a breathlessly wheezing Elliot to the uninteresting floor.

"It's okay,"Elliot Knight assured weakly.

He didn't get any time to recover when the countless Billys began surrounding him, chattering unintelligibly and patting his shoulder or occasionally pulling him a light hug. Admittedly, Elliot was much too flustered to do anything but gawk guiltily at his villainous teammates surprising care for him. Finally, they pulled away, practically bursting with keen questions.

"So what happened?,"Mammoth asked curiously.

"How come you ain't in your costume?,"a Billy requested quizzically.

"Did you get in a scrap? You've broken your nose, haven't you?,"Gizmo added observantly.

"I- err- just wanted to say- say goodbye,"Elliot spluttered uneasily, crossing his arms anxiously as he stared elusively at the dull wall.

"Goodbye?,"Mammoth repeated, solemn and stunned.

"You're- you're... GOING TO THE TITANS!,"Gizmo shouted vexedly, tears prickling his eyes like they had with Jinx.

"No! I'm not!,"Elliot yelled urgently, speaking softly so that they were intently gazing at him,"I'm just going to live a normal life. No heroes, no villains. I'll come and say hello again if you want, but...even if you don't...can you at least tell me when Seemore is good again?"

A shocked silence fell over the surprised villains as the sudden revelation finally sunk in. Elliot sighed dolefully and tentatively dropped the small Hive Five communicator in one of the many Billy's strong hands as he began slowly leaving.

"Wait, Wyd,"Billy urged, causing him to spin around warily,"Enjoy yerself, please. And do visit us, 'kay? Ya have our numbers, donna ya?"

Elliot nodded and gave a watery smile. With a meek wave, he teleported disconsolately on Wally's sturdy double bed, cradling his knees to his chest despairingly. He closed his amber eyes and he saw Gizmo beginning to cry over him and his dear friends' pained expression, just like he knew he would. At least it was done now. With a dolorous sigh, Elliot heard graceful footsteps near him but he made no move, entrapped in his own deep musings.

"Hey,"Jinx tested.

Elliot Knight didn't answer, merely lower his head further. She placed a comforting hand on his shoulder and sat besides him, smiling consolingly at his sorrowful frown.

"Did it go well?,"Jinx enquired concernedly.

Elliot laughed mirthlessly and replied,"Gizmo cried. But good, I guess. Just glad they still want me to visit."

"You know. I think you'll like it better like this. It changes you. Just not hiding and fighting all the time is...good,"she said calmly.

Elliot didn't reply and she continued tranquilly,"I have changed. I know that I used to be...angry and violent with you and them all but...I'm not really like that anymore. Maybe you'll be happier too. And if...you need help...just say. I know that Wally can be annoying sometimes, so if he is being stupid, just come to me, okay?"

He looked up at her finally, and paused momentarily. Okay, so Jinx was definitely acting warmer- a strange antic he certainly wasn't used to. He merely nodded in understanding, much to a frustrated Jinx, which surprised him immensely.

"What?,"he asked uneasily.

"Nothing, Elliot, nothing,"she sighed bitterly.

Truthfully, she desired to crack even the slightest smile or small laugh out of Elliot, yet she was at no avail. Wally West had some strange, uncanny knack she had jealously noticed to do so, and was determined to do the same. Admittedly though, she was failing miserably. She received a strange look of Elliot Knight and watched sourly as he shuffled away uncomfortably. Suddenly, a colourful blur sped right in the middle of them, startling both of them. Kid Flash merely smirked amusedly and cleared his throat dramatically.

"Let's party out in the big city for Ellie's new lifestyle!,"Flash suggested excitedly.

"No, Wally, no way, I'm not-,"Elliot hissed cantankerously.

Wally clamped a hand over his mouth playfully and he winked mischievously, leaving Elliot to irritatedly simply accept it. Jinx raised her eyebrows exasperatedly.

"Party?,"she repeated skeptically.

"Yep! Get out of your boring costume and we can get going! Don't take long!,"Wally exclaimed brightly, completely forgetting he still had his hand over Elliot Knight's mouth.

In fact, Elliot seemed to have forgotten too, as he began to smile underneath the puckish speedster's hand: perhaps it would be fairly pleasant- though he'd never personally admit to this, of course. Jinx left reluctantly, glancing sideways at them just before she hesitantly shut the plain door. Flash turned excitedly to Elliot and absentmindedly removed his hand, practically jumping up and down with gleeful elation. Wally yanked an unwary Elliot Knight behind him as he began energetically rummaging through his messy wardrobe eagerly.

"Wally. I'm literally almost scared to ask this, but what are you doing?,"Elliot sighed annoyedly.

Kid Flash shoved a grey GUCCI cap onto Elliot's head, messing up his luxurious black hair, and sniggered excitedly,"Getting ready. Obviously, I already look fabulous but you...need some...adjustments."

Elliot Knight hissed irritatedly and swiped the designer hat off of him, using it to playfully whack Wally over the head with. Flash merely snickered amusedly, tossing a flamboyant Ted Baker scarf in Elliot's pale face and scavenging some more, occasionally posing mischievously with some fashionable shades on or other designer accessories. However, Elliot firmly refused to even try on one of the stylish attires and they began wrestling playfully, one side hoping to remain plain, the other opting to go dramatically trendy.

Meanwhile, Jinx was uncertainly studying her appeasing reflection in the spotless mirror. She was dressed in a stylish denim skirt that fitted her slim curves well, which nicely matched a black, flowy off the shoulder top and purple ADIDAS trainers. She scruntised her pleasing appearance meticulously and swiftly added another layer of black mascara and some baby pink lipstick. Jinx smiled in satisfaction, smoothing out her protruding, pink hair before confidently walking out of her gothic bedroom. She spun around to see if the two boys were ready, but alas they were not. Then, Jinx heard it. Delighted and outraged laughter, the raucous sound of rolling around noisily and unknown objects being tossed energetically all across the unorganised place. She sighed exasperatedly and opened the plain door and instantly her eyebrows shot up. Practically all of Wally's wardrobe was emptied on each possible surface, clearly carelessly thrown there and evidently he didn't particularly care. In the middle of the cloth-covered floor, was Elliot Knight with multiple designer shades on, messily placed scarves and expensive hats and Wally West holding him down whilst precariously reaching for even more from the messy wardrobe. Elliot was in a fit of amused giggles, which looked between tickled out of him and just general joy, and Wally seemed unable to quench his boisterous laughter. However, both had stiffened embarrassedly at her abrupt divulge. Boys.

"Right...I remember you saying something about being quick,"she sighed exasperatedly, absentmindedly staring at Elliot's inhumanly dazzling laughter and charming smile, which she had surprisingly never actually seen before.

"Well...er- I had to fix a few things. El has got about the same fashion sense as a dead goldfish so I have heroically decided to help!,"Kid Flash explained amusedly, peeling away to his feet enthusiastically.

"Hmm, define heroic,"Elliot snickered teasingly, shrugging off the many designer accessories that had been forcibly smothered on him.

Jinx sighed and beckoned them exasperatedly.

By eleven oclock, the three roommates were weary and worn. Overall, Kid Flash had eagerly dragged them to a live concert with some much too cheerful generic pop bands that both Jinx and Elliot had abhorred due to their differing music taste. It had even resulted in Elliot Knight plugging in his ear buds and listening instead to Billie Eillish, Melanie Martinez and Lorde the whole time. Wally West merely danced thearatically, paying no mind to a clearly fed up Jinx and Elliot nodding his head to the varying beat of his own dark music. Afterwards, Jinx had forced the two boys to the bustling mall before it closed, which Wally had actually been fairly satisfied about, though they basically had to wrench Elliot along due to his uncooperative, moody demeanour. She and Flash had their hands full of packed shopping bags, with Wally buying Elliot supplies whether he liked it or not. By half ten, they agreed to make their way back, though often procrastinating their imminent return and coming to many halts to do random or something elating in the busy streets of Jump City.

Therefore, now they were finally outside of their apartment door; they were also keen to just simply slump down. Jinx teared open her plain door and pelted eagerly in her gothic bedroom, going through the scrupulous options for her comfy sleepwear. Kid Flash smirked amusedly as he rummaged tiredly through one of the overflowing shopping bags and tossed Elliot Knight some of the recently purchased clothes for him.

"Your pyjamas,"Flash snickered teasingly, suspiciously pelting impossibly fast into his own bedroom.

Mistrustfully, Elliot examined his new pyjamas and his pale face contorted into horrified gawk.

"Wally! You got me SPIDERMAN PYJAMAS!"
