ACT 2: The Princess of The Night

Chapter 18: Community Service or Dungeon

Two Hours have Passed since The Third Trial Began, as Everypony finished The Final Trial. Some didn't impress The Princess enough, while some did. Moon Flight, Gilda, and Eight Other Ponies each got on a stand, as they await their Royal Night Guard Uniforms. Ten Ponies trotted to Moon Flight, Gilda, and The Other Eight Ponies, with Armor. They include Sharp Horse Shoes colored Light Purple, A Fin Guard too protect The Ponies Tail, and a Beaked Helmet too protect The Face from Damage, with a Fin on top of it. Each Royal Guard Armor brought to The Ponies, are made suited for A Unicorn, A Bat Pony, An Earth Pony, and A Pegasus, With holes in The Back and Top of The Helmets, for their Wings and Horns. Gilda's Armor however, looked kinda Crappy. She asks The Pony who brought The Armor to her, "Are you kidding me?" The Pony explains, "This is just Prototype Griffin Armor, we've only made One, because You're pretty much The First Griffin too become a Royal Guard. But don't worry, we are currently making Better Armor for you as we speak. We might need too take Measurements on you later, so you can fit in it. Until It's done, you'll have too wear The Prototype Armor." Gilda rolled her eyes, and said in a Frustrated Tone, "Fine." A Unicorn Stallion trotted up The Stand with Flash Cards hovering from his Magic, as he clears his Throat, and began too speak to The New Royal Guards, "Place your Hoof on your Armor," as Everyone did, "Now Repeat after me: "I hereby promise too Protect Any Pony from certain Danger, and Especially Protect The Two Royal Sisters. I shall Respect My Fellow Guards, No matter what division they're on, and always work with them though Thick and Thin. Together, The Magic of Friendship can Protect our Fair Land from Evil. Celestia and Luna are counting on us too Defend This Land. For I am a Royal Guard."

After Moon Flight and Gilda became Guards, they went too go to The Bathroom, too try on their New Night Guard Armor. Moon Flight went first too Try on the Armor, which fits him pretty well. The Unibat walked out to see Gilda, and know what she thinks of Moon Flight in The Armor. "So, what do you think of My Armor?" Asked Moon Flight. His Griffin friend nodded, and said to Moon Flight, "I think you look pretty good, I guess it's My Turn." Gilda goes into The Bathroom, too try The Armor on. She struggles too put it on, for some of The Pieces don't fit her. Gilda tries too put The Chest plate on, but her Chest is too big for That Piece of armor too fit her. The Griffin sucks in The Air, too try too try too make her chest slimmer, and was finally able too get it on. Unfortunately, The Armor started strangling her whole Body, and she's having some trouble breathing. She walks out of The Bathroom, and pleaded to Moon Flight, "Help me, please?" while still having trouble Breathing. Moon Flight used his Magic, too take all That Armor off of his Griffin Friend. Gilda started too Breath normally again, thanking Moon Flight. The Griffin asks Moon Flight what he thinks of her in The Prototype Armor, The Unibat was having trouble trying too think of a Word that doesn't offend her, worried she'd hurt him. Moon Flight Finally speaks, "Well...Would you kill me if I told you The Armor doesn't fit you well?" Gilda shakes her head No, as Moon Flight Honestly tells her ,"Then The Armor doesn't fit you well. I'm Not saying your Fat or anything, Just that The Armor might be for more slimmer Griffins or something. Maybe they didn't measure an Actual Griffin, too get it right." "Sounds about right," said Gilda. "I'm so glad Rainbow Dash didn't see Me in that Ridiculous Armor, that would really embarrass me." Moon Flight assures, "At least your gonna get More Proper Armor, whenever they're done forging it." Moon Flight and Gilda start to walk to their Bedroom, when suddenly, Blue Smoke slithered right behind them. The Blue Smoke went into Moon Flight's ear, and The Unibat hears a Female Voice telling him, "Come to My Room Moon Flight, come to My Room." The Blue Smoke went out of his Other Ear, and Moon Flight sees The Blue Smoke, slithering behind him, as it wants too lure him somewhere. Gilda notices Moon Flight was far behind her, "Hey!" Gilda shouted to Moon Flight, "Are you coming or what?" Moon Flight tells her, "I'll catch up later." The Unibat guessed that Gilda didn't hear The Female Voice he heard, as he watches her leave his sight.

Moon Flight turns around back at The Blue Smoke, as he follows it wherever it's taking him. The Smoke slithered right under The Bedroom Door of Princess Luna. Moon Flight's Ears flopped down, as he is incredibly nervous about going inside. He slowly starts too knock on Princess Luna's Door, as he Hears The Same Voice he heard earlier ask, "Who is it?" Moon Flight blushed, and nervously said, "It's Moon Flight, The Unibat from a Couple Days ago." The Female Voice tells him, "Please come in, and shut The Door behind you."

Moon Flight slowly opens The Door to The Bedroom of Princess Luna, and enters The Princesses Bedroom. Complete with Blue Walls, Three Tall Windows with Dark Red Violet Curtains, Lamps that look like Trees but with Marshmallow like Lightbulbs, A Doorway to a Balcony, A Makeup table, A Glass Case containing a Cobalt Blue Sword, A Cage with a Opossum inside, and A Bed in The Shape of a Crescent Moon, with Cloud like supports, A Lamp dangling above, Dark Blue Comforters with Stars on them, and Purple Drapes with Stars on it. Moon Flight looks around, and is amazed on how Nice Princess Luna's Bedroom looks. The Unibat looks over to The Makeup table, and sees The Princess of The Night herself, brushing her Long Flowing Blue Mane. Moon Flight bows to The Princess, as she turns to The Unibat, and tells him, "Welcome to My Bedroom Moon Flight, I see you're wearing The Guard Armor Darkwing gave you. How do you like it?" The Unibat blushes, then tells her nervously while smiling, "It feels pretty great Princess, I'm happy too become a Guard." Luna stops brushing her Mane, and tells The Unibat, "Well, it all depends on what happens tonight."

Just then, Luna blasted Moon Flight at his Horn, and The Unibat's Horn grows stones on it. Next, The Princess blasted his Wings, and Restraints magically appear on them. This frightens Moon Flight, as he asks The Princess in a Panicked tone, "What are you doing to me, What are these for?" Princess Luna trots to Moon Flight, and tells him, "So you can't use Magic, or Fly away from me." The Unibat starts too shake, being More Scared then ever. The Alicorn Princess tells The Unibat angrily, "Moon Flight, you have been using Dark Magic, which is against The Law in Our Kingdom. You are hereby Under Arrest for Breaking The Law." Moon Flight tells The Princess, "I'm sorry. I know I Broke The Law, but I was Never using Dark Magic for Evil." Luna looks back at Moon Flight, and says "Evil or Not, you know it's illegal, and You must pay The Price." Moon Flight sighs in Defeat, then tells Princess Luna, "Okay, I understand." "However," said The Alicorn Princess, "I could either throw you in The Dungeon, or Perhaps put you on Temporary Community Service, until My Sister Returns that is. When she does, she'll decide your Permanent Punishment." Moon Flight's fear went down a little, as he asked Luna, "What happens if I do Community Service?" The Princess explains, "If you do Community Service, you are too help me Fight off Nightmares Every Night, until Celestia comes back. You are too stay in My Sight at All Times in those Nightmares, and You are Not allowed too leave The Castle unless you're with Me, or an Official Royal Guard, watching too make sure you don't break anymore laws outside The Castle. I'll warn you, Fighting off Nightmares, won't be as Easy as you think. Darkwing told me you were a Promising Fighter, and you both didn't disappoint me in The Final Trial. I thought I'd put you too good use, while I'm fighting off these Nightmares. So, which would you rather do: Get thrown in The Dungeon, or Doing Community Service with me?" Moon Flight thinks about it, then asks The Princess, "What do you mean by, Fighting off Nightmares won't be easy?" Luna lets out a small chuckle, "Oh, You'll see." The Unibat kept thinking, he tells Luna, "I'm Not sure I like The Community Service thing so far." The Alicorn Princess was left disappointed, "I guess you want too Rot in a Dungeon then, with all The Rats and Star Spiders crawling around. Biting you, as your chained against The Wall." Moon Flight panics again, then tells Luna, "WAIT! I guess I'll give Community Service a try." This pleases Luna, as she trots over to Moon Flight, uses her Magic too Pull a Piece of Hair from his Mane, and performs a Spell That spread around The Whole Castle in The Form of an Invisible Dome. Moon Flight asks Luna, "What was that for?" Princess Luna assures, "Too make sure, you stay in The Castle. Like I said earlier, Not allowed too leave, unless you're with Me, or A Royal Guard." The Alicorn blasts The Restraints and Stones off of Moon Flight, giving him The Ability too use Magic and Fly again. Luna tells Moon Flight, "I expect you back in My Room Tomorrow Night, Don't keep me waiting. You may leave My Room now." Before Moon Flight can leave, he asks The Princess, "Am I still a Royal Guard?" "For Now." Said Princess Luna. The Unibat bows to The Princess again, then says, "Thank you, Princess." Moon Flight leaves The Room, as She begins her Royal Duty as a Princess, too watch Over The Night, and Fight off Nightmares again.

Even though The Comics aren't Canon, Tiberius is in My MLP Fanfiction, and is The Only Character from The Comics you'll see in This Story.
