Since I have so many hours in the day and I know what I want from this story and other in the series, I'm accelerating a bit. I may slow down once I get to the point where I can start doing the Super Sentai Alternatives. That said, it's time for mini-arc in the story where we hunt for a powerful new device. What is it and how will it be used? Let's find out. Disclaimer: I don't own Kamen Rider, Angel Beats, or any other referenced media.
*The four previous Riders, X, Angel, Life, and SSS, drive down the road. They part their formation to reveal a blue-armored warrior with eye symbols over his armor, driving a modified Suzuki TM250. This is the last of the Battlefront Riders, Kamen Rider Eyez on his Sapphire Storm.*

*With that declaration, the music begins as we get our title.*

The final Rider is Ayato Naoi, who's brother was killed in a car crash instigated by GOD, sending Ayato's life spiraling into depression.
*The five Riders reveal their human forms in turn.*
Reborn with the rest of the Kamen Rider Battlefront, Ayato joins Yuzuru, Kanade, Hideki, and Yuri, in the fight against GOD.
*They race across the screen in Rider form, passing by each other in midair.*

Chapter 23: Demonic Invention
Deep inside his cave lair, King Dark awoke. "How is research proceeding?" Several Warfare Agents approached. "King Dark, the lab reports that they'll need more time to finish." "While they dawdle," King Dark said, "The Riders grow in strength and influence! We have no time to wait! Tell the lab they must hurry with the project!" To clarify, King Dark was speaking of world-famous researcher Soichiro Nanbara, director of GOD R&D. His aim was to build a device capable of transforming any matter on Earth into energy. It was called the RS Device.
King Dark intended to use the RS Device to give himself enough energy to run rampant. "The day that King Dark arises will be the day that this world falls…" Out in the lab, Nanbara decided to take a break alongside his assistant Tamai. Tamai noticed how out of it Nanbara seemed and offered him some juice to perk himself up. "Thank you, Tamai." "Has something been worrying you?," Tamai asked, "You can tell me anything." He leaned in. "I already removed all of GOD's bugs from inside the room. Are the plans for the RS Device finished?"
He didn't know that one final bug had been planted on Nanbara's lab coat, with Agents already listening in. "The blueprint is complete," Nanbara admitted, "But it's power is so incredible that it's honestly terrifying. GOD intends to use it as a demonic weapon… But in the right hands it could be like mana from Heaven! I want to leave to see to it that the latter occurs… But GOD has my only daughter's life by a thread." The Agent went to inform King Dark of the RS Device's completion.
Once he got word, King Dark called in his second monster. "Toad Goemon, come forth!" Toad Goemon stepped out from the shadows. "What is your bidding, King Dark?" "Nanbara has hidden the fact that he's already completed the blueprints for the RS Device," King Dark said, "Go and get them from him! As one who has been given a brain worthy of Japan's greatest thief, Goemon Ishikawa, it should be a simple task."
"Naturally," Toad Goemon replied, "I'll show you burglary worthy of the genius I have inherited! As well as my inherited mastery of Iga-style ninjutsu!" He leapt up to the ceiling to demonstrate. "I've already praised you a small amount," King Dark said, "Save any further boasting for when you have succeeded. Speaking of which, start by using Nanbara's daughter." Toad Goemon nodded and disappeared from the cave.
A GOD agent soon found the young girl, Rie, with some of her school friends, who were discussing what they would be doing for the summer holiday. Rie soon broke off when talk about family came up, since she hadn't seen her father in a long time. As she looked longingly at a happy family, Yuzuru and Kanade tapped her on the shoulder. "What's up?," Yuzuru asked. "Trouble with your parents?," Kanade asked. Yuzuru grinned. "Let me guess, folks not letting you go anywhere for the summer until all your summer homework is done?"
"Oh course not!," Rie said curtly, "My dad will take me anywhere I want to go!" "Sounds like a nice dad," Kanade said, "But that doesn't explain why you have such a sad smile on your face. Where's your dad now?" Rie noticed the agent, who warned her not to talk. "I don't know!," she called out. She then ran off. Of course, that just made the couple even more suspicious. It turned out the agent was more or less Rie caretaker, and was very strict about where she could go and what she could say.
"Don't forget that you are always being watched," the agent said, "So live your life like nothing is wrong. We don't want anyone getting suspicious." "Too late," Yuzuru said as he and Kanade appeared inside the room, "You should have taught her to act better. Maybe come up with some believable lies." He started knocking around the agent while Kanade got Rie and got her to safety. They soon ran into Toad Goemon.
Kanade grabbed Rie and dodged Toad Goemon's multi-headed axe. They soon headed outside. Yurippe soon leapt in to help. "So this is a member of King Dark's army," Yurippe noted. "You just keep butting in where you're note wanted!," Toad Goemon said, "Flaming Toad Oil!" Flames erupted from his fingers, which Kanade and Yurippe backed away from. "Let's make ourselves a little more fireproof!," Yurippe said. Kanade nodded, taking Rie to where she could be safe, then activating her Angel Player while Yurippe unfolded her Metamorpher. "Henshin!" They transformed into Kamen Riders Angel and SSS, then started battling Toad Goemon.
The Villain Monster came rushing in with his axe, SSS folding her mechanical wings into their blade form. "Mothrang!" She blocked the strike, slashing back. "Toad Oil!," Toad Goemon said, "Now all your slashes and punches will slide off!" "Then we'll switch to other attacks!," Angle called out, "Howling!" "Moth Laser!" The booming sounds and laser blasts actually damaged Toad Goemon, threatening to burn him with his own oil. "I have to retreat for now!," he realized, "But I will remember this!"
Rie was taken to Deep Blue, where GOD couldn't reach her. There she spilled everything about what GOD was doing with her father. 'To think King Dark would be able to force a legendary scientist like Nanbara to work for him…,' Keitaro said. "But what sort of research could he be doing?," Ayato asked. "Nanbara is an absolute genius," Yuzuru noted, "King Dark could be having him do anything."
'The only scientists who could compare were myself when I was alive,' Keitaro said, 'And my old university friend, Doctor Hayato Noroi. Whatever Nanbara created the GOD wants, it's sure to be ground-breaking. The sort of thing we'd rather have helping civilization, and likely could.' Yusa then entered the room. "There's been an alert from the Coffee Shop SOL. Toad Goemon left an ultimatum. We either hand over Rie, or Nanbara dies." 'I'd personally rather save both if possible,' Keitaro said, 'But Rie's life must take priority. Regardless, you must head immediately Riders.' The five Riders nodded.
Toad Goemon was trying to convince Nanbara to give him the blueprints by threatening Tamai's life. Nanbara appeared to comply, only to produce a powerful weapon that almost resembled a toy. He demonstrated that it had enough power to destroy the entire lab. "And this is just the prototype RS Device!," Nanbara admitted, "Now open the door!" The guard complied, but then Toad Goemon leapt to the ceiling and launched his Flaming Toad Oil.
Nanbara was able to escape, Tamai sacrificing his life to make sure the guard wouldn't follow him. Managing to leave the base, Nanbara took out the blueprints. "I can't protect these alone… At the very least, I need to keep them out of GOD's hands." He carefully divided the plans into nine pieces. Meanwhile, the Riders had just stormed the GOD base looking for Nanbara, but there was no sign of him or Toad Goemon. "This place is a wreck," Hideki noted, "What happened to it?"
Nanbara had eight of the blueprint pieces mailed to eight colleagues. He returned home, only to find Rie was gone. He didn't know what had gone down earlier, or that Rie was safe with the Battlefront. Just as he was getting worried, Tamai somehow arrived behind him. "No need to worry, Nanbara," he said, "I know where they're holding Rie! Ah, maybe I should look after your prototype." Nanbara handed it over, but then realized Tamai was holding it with the hand that just been burned by Toad Goemon.
In fact, it was Toad Goemon. "Having a prototype is even better than the blueprints! Our science division can reverse engineer it and make a bigger version!" He then got nailed in the head by X's Ridol Stick, he and the other Riders bursting into the room. "How fortunate!," Toad Goemon said, "I saw what this device did to our lab! I can use it to destroy all five you here and now!" He hit the switch, but nothing happened.
Nanbara smirked. "I had already removed the ignition after leaving the base. I was wondering when you would notice. Did you really think I would hand an active RS Device over even to my most trusted assistant?" Toad Goemon grumbled as he tossed away the useless prototype. "Looks like I'll be needing those blueprints after all! But first I'll be sure to defeat X and his Rider team!" He launched his Flaming Toad Oil. "Soul Barrier!" Life conjured his life force shield, blocking the flames.
The other Riders got Nanbara out of the house, Life soon joining them. "Doctor Nanbara," SSS said, "What was that device?" "It's the RS Device," Nanbara explained, "It can process energy from any material. In GOD's hands it would be a terrible weapon. They forced me to develop it, but I fled in hopes of turning it into a gift from the heavens." "Hold that thought," Angel said, "Hand Sonic!" She leapt over the bushes to attack Toad Goemon, who had come out to try and find the group.
"Go to the Coffee Shop COL," X said, "We have Rie in protective custody in our personal base. We'll take to her when it's safe." Nanbara nodded. "Thank you." X and the Riders started battling Toad Goemon, as well as the Warfare Agents that showed up. "Goemon Ishikawa was a prodigious shinobi!," Toad Goemon bragged, "Behold the Iga-style wood technique!" He immediately hid himself among the trees and laughed. "Try and find me, Riders!"
X scoffed and got out his Ridol Whip, throwing it at one of the trees and hitting Toad Goemon, shocking him. "How did you find me!?" "Goemon Ishikawa was a great ninja because he remembered the most important rule of ninjutsu," X explained, "When you're trying to hide, refrain from making noise or stinking. Your laughter and the scent of your Toad Oil gave you away!"
The Riders started laying into him, until he started using his Toad Oil again. "Have you forgotten what happened last time!?," Angel asked, "Howling!" "Blazing Home Run!" "Moth Laser!" "Thousand Eyes!" This time Toad Goemon was lit ablaze with own oil as X leapt into the air and spun on his Ridol Stick, coming with a flying kick. "X Kick!" Toad Goemon went flying into the water, going off like a depth charge.
Nanbara was able to reunite with his daughter, but it was short lived as a large tomahawk struck into his back. The Riders arrived just as he dropped, his daughter weeping over his body. Yuzuru spotted Scorpion Geronimo just as he disappeared on a nearby roof. Nanbara still had some life left him in. "Yuzuru… I believe you are on the side of justice… I split the blueprints for the RS Device… And sent eight to my colleagues…"
He got out a heart-shaped pendant, and handed it to his daughter. A final gift, before he left the world forever. After a prayer for his soul, Kanade realized something. "He sent only eight to his colleagues… But then where the ninth?" Rie held up the heart pendant. "It must be in here…" Sure enough, when Yuzuru opened the locket, he found a folded piece of paper with part of the blueprints drawn on it. "How did you know?"
"I knew my dad better than anyone," Rie explained. Yuzuru nodded. "We'll keep these blueprints safe. For the sake of you and you father." Meanwhile deep inside his lair, King Dark opened his eyes. "Go, Scorpion Geronimo! Find all nine pieces of the blueprints, including the one the Riders have!" "You can rely on me!," Scorpion Geronimo called out. And so the race to decide whether the RS Device would be Earth's doom or mankind's salvation began, as both GOD and the Riders sought out the remaining eight pieces of the blueprints.

Here's hoping the Riders can get to them first. I gotta admit, this is exciting for the last real arc of the series. And our Riders will have their work cut out for them as King Dark sends out his army to try and find all the pieces. Hope you enjoy the action. Read and review.
