A/N: This is the first time in a long time where I posted in two different stories in one day. I'm so happy. I hope that I can continue to do that. I hope you enjoy this latest chapter. Thank you so much~

We head for Earth in 48 hours.

Shala'Rann send this notice out across the entire fleet to inform everyone that they had a little time to finish any loose ends before they head to Earth with Shepard. It was something that Xen was having a hard time coping with - the admiral decided that they needed a ground team to help out with the weapons and barricades. They needed strong mechanics, and Rina was one of them. Shepard, Anderson, and Hackett had all reassured that the ground team will one-hundred percent stay out of the line of fire, but it didn't soothe her. They will be seperate, Xen will have no way to contact her.

"Hey Shepard, I need a favor."

There was only 48 hours left for Xen to be with the woman she loved, and she was willing to do anything to spend their last two days together before they walk into hell itself. This was the last time she could let Rina know how much she loved her.

"There is somewhere I want to show you." Xen gave little to no explaination to Rina as she guided her to the small ship on the landing pad to leave Rannoch for a while. This was not the best time to take a trip; however, if they were all going to die in a few days from now, Xen will make the last few moments of their lives count.

Rina was unable to contain her excitement for the next few hours as they flew through the gates of the Citadel, and she was admiring all of the skyscrapers and city lights of the strip. Shepard was the savior of the galaxy that had a lot of connections, and she also has a major soft spot for Rina so Xen took full advandage of this whole ordeal to do something special for her girlfriend.

When they found a landing, Xen stepped out of the taxi and held her hand out for Rina to take. "Don't get used to this, I had to pull some favors." The woman was stern with her lover, but her gestures were gentle enough to let Rina know that it was just her manner of speak and there was no hidden malice anywhere. "Come on." she led her to the large fancy looking hotel.

There was an odd look from the woman who was at the front desk when Xen dropped her name for their hotel room, but the human woman still led them up to the last floor of the hotel where their room was booked. Shepard made sure to book the room with the best view..for certain reason.

"I know we only have a certain amount of time left. I know the possibilty of this being the last time I ever see you again is very high, so I want to show you how very important this is to me." Xen explained as she used the room key to unlock the door.

On the otherside of the door was a very expensive looking room. There was a heart-shaped princess bed adorned in red silk sheets with a mini fridge, one television, and a large jacuzzi on the otherside of the room next to the bathroom. Those were not the best attributes to the room - there was a large balacony with a view of the skyline that was currently 'under construction'. There were no cars flying by, which meant that Xen could continue on with her plans.

"You wanted to see fireworks?" The admiral pressed the button on her omni-pad that was connected to the firework starter that Shepard help her start up. They weren't real fireworks - they were holograms since it was still do dangerous to shoot them up on the Citadel. It was closer than what anyone else could do at this time. Xen will still make sure she takes her to see real ones.

Fortunately, Rina didn't seem to be bothered by the holographic fireworks. She was still impressed and pratically jumped to go on the balcony to watch them. "Wow!" she exclaimed happily as she rested her arms on the railing to watch them. It was adorable. Xen broke into a small smile as she watched her lover enjoy the little corny set-up.

It made her happy to see Rina so excited over something so simple. "I..am relieved that you like this." Xen didn't quite know how to express her own joy.

There was a moment where Rina's eyes started to tear up while watching the colors fly up in the air and pop with a loud burst. This whole set-up made her so happy, she wasn't used to having someone do something so nice for her. It was a little overwhelming.

For once, Xen could read her lover and she could understand why Rina was starting to get emotional. She spent her whole life being alone and treated like a pariah. "I love you. I want nothing more in this galaxy than to see you happy." Xen reached her hand up to touch her lover's mask to slowly remove it.

"I love you too." Rina sniffled as her face was bare and she was looking up at Xen with big eyes. "This is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me..I don't know what to do." she confessed like she was waiting for the admiral to give her an order.

Xen shook her head before removing her own mask in the process. "Stay with me tonight." she whispered as her hand took Rina's and she guided her back to the room towards the bed. "I want you to lay with me. This is our last chance." she whispered before pressing their lips together.

After a few seconds, Xen sat down on the bed and pulled Rina into her lap to keep their bodies pressed together as their moment continued to progress into something more. This is perfect. Just the two of them, she didn't want to let this moment pass. Not with what is yet to come.

Don't be shy, my love. Let me know you. I want to you to wrap your whole world around me, I want to love you properly. Just let me in.
