Belle POV
After dinner we go into the living room and watch the rest of The Vampire Diaries. The three girls scream when one of the guys get shirtless. "They're just a bunch of guys without their shirts on, they're not that cute." Chad says to Ben, who nods in agreement. Mal grabs a pillow and chucks it at them. It hits Ben squarely in the face. "Ow!" He says, looking at a giggling Mal. That's the most raw emotion we've all seen from her in three days so it makes us smile. "Oh, so that's how it's gonna be." Ben teases with a sly grin and a hint of mischief in his voice. Mal doesn't have much time to prepare for what Ben is talking about as he grabs the pillow Mal threw at him and Chad and lightly hits Mal. Mal playfully growls softly and grabs another pillow and hits him again. Pretty soon, all the kids are hitting each other with pillows. Me and Beast are taking sneaky pictures on our phones. We smile at each other, happy that they're acting like teenagers instead of royals or the kids of villains. There is a lot of laughter coming from Mal but no talking but at least this is progress. I tug on Beast's arm. "Belle, what is it?" He laughs, as I drag him out of the living room and into his study. I don't answer him. He's going to blow up at me but not as much as Mal.
Evie POV
We're all having a blast with each other. Mal is laughing with us but she's not talking to us but that's okay. This is progress. Mal currently hitting Jay on the head while sitting on the couch. Carlos is hitting Audrey who is hitting Ben and I'm hitting Mal. Mal is laughing and smiling like before her incident. I love her her laugh. Ben stops hitting and scoops Mal up in his strong arms. "I love you, Princess of my heart." He says before kissing her. We put on the music player and have a dance- pillow-fight party. This is the best day by far since we've been in Auradon and I just hope we have many more like this.
Beast POV
I'm furious with Belle, I don't know why she'd keep it a secret! It's amazing but Belle wanted to keep it hidden because it makes her feel special. She's the Queen of Auradon for evils sake. Oh, no. I'm speaking like the VKs! I look at her and shes looking at her heels. I'm so angry with her right now, I could roar but I won't because: A, I'm not the Beast anymore and b, it'll scare Mal. Growling slightly, I grab her arm and pull her out of my study. "Adam, where are you taking me?" She whimpers in fear. Why does she use my real name? She knows it ticks me off. I hear music and laughter coming from the living room. We peek our heads in and see the kids dancing and Mal in Bens arms, kissing. We have to tell her now but I hate to cut their fun short. "Guys!" I shout over the music, dragging Belle into the room. "Can we talk? It's important." Immediately Jay switches the sound system down so there's a little background noise and the kids sit down on various couches and chairs around the living room. Ben sits down with Mal curled up in his lap. Jay and Carlos, Evie and Chad are in defensive stance. Audrey is next to me and Belle. "What's this about?" Jay snaps. "Is it about Mal?" Everyone sits up straighter and Mal seems alert. I look at Belle and she stands up. "I got a call from Dr. Nick and he wants you to go in tomorrow to get the results." The kids start screaming but Mal is quiet. "Mal, you okay?" I ask her, getting out of my seat and going over to her and Ben. She gets out her phone and types something in and shows it me.
I'm scared, I don't want to get my hopes up.
My heart breaks. Then I have an idea. "What if we have Nick video call you instead of you having to go to the doctors office? How does that sound?" Mal nods and lifts her lips to Bens. While they're too busy making out, the other kids are cheering for her. Today has been a great day but tomorrow is going to be an amazing day.
Mal POV
I'm scared. What will they be?
