Snowy led Topa and his trainer over to the couch, while also avoiding the hyperactive pups at their heels. The very second Damian sat down, all three Vulpix crowded him, "these three are a bit crowded, have you given them names yet?" Topa nodded, "yes we did," he pointed at an Alolan Vulpix, "this one is Ruby," he pointed at a Kantonian Vulpix, "this one is Coral," and then he pointed at the final Vulpix, a Shiny Kantonian Vulpix, "this one is Hachi." Damian took a second to take the names in. Volpsei was surprisingly calm despite how he usually is, laying in his corner of the room. The Nientales had closed his eyes, and was snoring a bit.

The three kits all managed to fit on on Damian's lap, then laid down, "that's the first time they have calmed down in weeks." Snowy said jokingly, "I can't tell you how much sleep I've lost with these three running and barking all night." She then picked up Hachi by the scruff and started grooming him. One by one, she did this to each of her pups, who climbed back onto Damian's lap as soon as they had their turn;. Snowy turned to Topa, back to Damian, "so how long have you been taking care of Topa" she tilted her head, "I found him on the streets when he was a Vulpix, I'd say it's nearly been 18 years now?" Topa nodded, "I'm pretty sure that was the one of the best days of my life."

"You said you saw me on the news?" Damian nodded, "I saw the Champion harassing you guys in your home. Also saw you with Topa at the Pokemon Resort on the news, but I didn't think much of it at first." he grinned, "so I take it you're pretty damn strong huh?" Topa looked at his trainer, "Damian, strong is an understatement… I swear she could literally win the Pokemon League without a trainer!" Snowy shrugged, "well, judging from Champion Brendon alone, trainers are only in it for the money nowadays… there's now passion behind it at that point." Damian tilted his head, "well yeah, trainers are after the money, but I don't get what you're going at."

"A Pokemon is more willing to give it their all if the bond between it and its trainer is strong," Snowy looked away, "I cannot tell you just how many times I pushed myself just for one of my trainers' well-being." the Ninetales shook her head, "wait, trainers? As in multiple?" Damian asked, Topa nodded, "yup, she's had two trainers, both of which had become champions at one point or another." Snowy grinned, "yup, both of them loved me to death, and in turn I'd happily give my all for them."

Volpsei laid wide awake, listening to Snowy and her family interact with Damian. The Ninetales let out a deep breath, despite everyone in the room with him, Volpsei felt lonely. He never took his eyes off of the wall, after a couple of minutes of staring, he stood up. Without paying anyone attention, Volpsei started walking out the door.

I took in a deep breath; Mom had already found a new reason to live, while I had no clue as to what to make of myself. Sure I got to talk to Davaid every now and then when I sleep, but something still didn't feel right. The only time I had vented to anyone about something it was Davaid during his journey throughout Alola. Perhaps all that I needed was somebody to talk to, "hey Volpsei," I looked behind me; it was Snowy. She sat down beside me, "is something wrong?" I shook my head, "I just needed a breather," she looked at me with a "you're telling bullshit" face. Mom then nudged me, "Volpsei, usually you're smiling, tell me what's wrong?"

Dammit, Mom was too good at reading people's emotions like they were books. That was also amplified by her telepathy, so there wasn't a shot in hell I could hide something that was bothering me, "you know how I acted as a pup for almost as long as I've been alive?" she nodded, "I haven't told anyone except Davaid this; that was mostly for show." Snowy tilted her head, "I mostly acted the way I did because it put a smile on people's faces." that much was true. Snowy was staring at me, "so you're telling me you never genuinely acted like a pup?" she asked.

I shocked my head, "I was genuine up until Davaid got kidnapped," I turned and looked up to the sky. Snowy placed her paw on my shoulder, "you did quite a job at cheering everyone up," Snowy commented, "I love it when you smile, Mom, I love seeing the people I love smiling…" I then looked away, "it did kinda sting when you and Topa started dating."

"Volpsei, we already been over that," Snowy told me, "I know we did, I acted like a brat during the morning of when you and Topa slept in the same room." Mom licked my cheek, "don't worry about that, it's in the past now." I leaned into her, "though, there has to be more than that on your chest." Snowy laid her tails over me, "well, I was thinking about going off on my own, maybe revisit some of the places we went to with Davaid…" I grinned, "but now I want to see my siblings grow up."

Snowy kissed Volpsei on the forehead, "well Volpsei, let us go see the family shall we?"

Well, that was Thousand Years Too Soon. i wanted to leave it so the people reading can interrprit what happens to most of these characters in the future. Unless one of these guys wakes me up at night, or gets my imagination going on.
