"Good Morning, Hatsume." I greeted as I strolled into the smoke filled room.
"Hi!" She replied, happily. She half turned her body towards me, but kept fiddling with whatever she was working on, "It's just finished! I've been up all night working on this for you and Midoriya's new thingy mabob!"
"Could I take a look?" I asked, but she was already holding it in front of my face. It was a plane with mask that had three straps leading around the back. It had 3 black lines coming down from where the eyes should be on each side and a black band leading down the neck, "It's... SO COOL!" I threw my hands in the air.
"I know, right! It'll be PERFECT for protecting your face! It's like one way glass, but it won't break. Also, you won't need to wear contact lenses or glasses underneath."
"You're the best Hatsume! If you ever need anything, let me know!"
"No problem, young child!" She said, ruffling my hair. I placed the mask on my face. Comfyyyy! In the end, my mask ended up looking pretty cool!
A few weeks later
"Alright. Today's training is going to be a game of capture the flag... Across a city." Mr. Aizawa said, bluntly. It was the first time since the summer holidays that I was trying my hero costume out.
"So... What are you? An A cup?" Mineta whispered to me. I took a step to the left, getting as far away as I could without sprinting. I shuffled my belt as it wasn't as tight as I would've liked. The perks of being 4'0". The bands across my chest didn't fit well over my shoulders as well, so I fit them under my armpits. I couldn't help but think about the argument between Bakugo and I.
"What the hell are you even doing in a hero course? You're a kid!" That one stung.
"A kid? Are you kidding me? They let in everyone here! The short, the tall, the skinny, the fat! Why should my age matter!" My voice cracked.
"Your emotions play a big part in being a hero!" He raised his voice and took a step forward. I backed up.
"I... I... SHUT UP! I DON'T CARE IF YOU THINK I'M NOT READY!"
