The Imperial soldiers already had been moving to where the resounding shockwaves were coming from, it was causing a lot of panic to the civilians. Windows were being shattered long before the mushroom cloud explosion occurred. When they arrive, they enter a crater where they find a headless Kurome, former Jaeger and Wave.

Wave, is furious. Beyond furious. He was dispatched like he was trash in the beginning and was forced to watch the large barrel through the undead and eventually even Kurome. He grits his teeth and veins bulge, he would be tightening his grip on his hands if it weren't for him being paralyzed from the neck down.

At least, until a black and blue aura surrounded Wave. He's suddenly thrown into his armor without consent, but it's different. The armor was black with streaks of blue and was much larger than before. Blue flames covered his helmet and it turns out he can manipulate the extreme flames himself. Grand Chariot has 'evolved'.

"Mr. Wave?"

"I'll kill you… Vergo of Night Raid!" Wave shouts out and his killing intent makes the weaker imperial soldiers collapse on the ground.

Meanwhile, Vergo

'I wonder if Akame will have a grudge on me… Nah what's for dinner?' Vergo ponders as the base comes ever so close.

Tatsumi and Lubbock were off hunting when Vergo returned.

"Najenda, I dispatched two of the Jaegers."

"Which ones?" Najenda asks curiously. She knows Vergo can kill some of the Jaegers by himself, because he's the strongest in the empire.

"Wave and Kurome." Vergo simply responds, he really hopes Akame can take the news easily.

Akame's face darkens and she clenches her hands, which doesn't go unnoticed by the group. She simply walks out.

"I'll be hunting danger beasts for dinner now." Akame simply said and vanished.

"I guess I'll be locking my door now." Vergo simply says earning a chuckle from Najenda.

"I'm sure she'll be fine." Najenda reassures Vergo, she knows Akame did value Kurome but she wouldn't try to kill one of their teammates over it.

"Besides, if she wanted to kill you she could get through any door!" Leone informs happily.

Meanwhile, Tatsumi and Lubbock are having a nice stroll.

"I had to be paired up with a guy…" Lubbock mutters somberly.

'I really wanted to be with a cute girl too…' Lubbock complains in his head.

"You don't have to sound so depressed about it." Tatsumi says as he sweat drops.

This time, they get through without interruption.

Back at the capital, Wave is star gazing while hugging his knees.

"How are you doing?" Esdeath asks in concern as she stands over Wave.

"I'm doing fine!" Wave says and gives his best fake smile, and then breaks down crying.

"I'm weak… That man even said I'm weak… I'm too weak to protect people close to me, and I'm not strong enough to kill that man…"

"If I were to stay with you, would I be able to kill him?" Wave looks up to Esdeath and asks with teary eyes.

Esdeath simply hugs Wave and brings him to her chest.

"I can't promise you will kill him, but I can promise you his death if you stick around." Esdeath comforts Wave.

"Thank you…"

Later, the Jaegers gather around for their new orders from Esdeath.

"As you heard… We lost another member. In order to prevent this from happening, we'll be staying in groups of three."

None of the other Jaegers had a problem with this, Bols simply held his head down. Bols wasn't feeling great after losing Kurome either. Bols tightens his grip and clenches his hands.

"We'll be having the man known as Vergo be at this bounty as well." Esdeath presents the wanted poster and they're all surprised. The mentioning of Vergo makes Wave grimace and has veins pop up on his forehead

This far surpassed even Najenda, the leader of the revolution's wanted amount.

"He's currently the strongest in the empire, I'm sure if we meet again I would win, but I can't say the same for the others, and the casualty from earlier only proves this point. If you see this man, you will have to run away." Esdeath informs them with all seriousness.

Esdeath can only beat the man with her two trump cards, otherwise she would stand no chance against him. Wave clenches his hands into a fist. Even with the evolution, it can only put him above his teammates and the Night Raid members, he definitely can give a good fight against Esdeath and Budo but that's just him putting up a good fight, not winning. Not even mentioning Vergo himself who is stronger than both Esdeath and Budo. The gap between the three strongest in the empire and them is simply too large to cover with a simple evolution. This only infuriates Wave even further.

"The casualties from the new danger beast have fallen, it turns out it's just a limited amount, so we should focus on getting stronger." Esdeath says

"And, we have the next suspect for assassination…"

When night falls and morning is out, Chelsea sets out for her target. It's a fat man, naturally.

"Ah, wine is sure tasty."

Chelsea walks through the door in her disguise.

"Today, I want a full body massage." The fat man asks and has a lecherous grin.

"Understood." Chelsea grimaces.

'The hell does he mean by full body massage?'

She simply stabs him in the neck but she senses multiple presences and quickly turns into a cat to join the other cats in their bed.

"We are the Jaegers, let us through!" Bols announces but quickly finds out he's too late.

"Damn it… we're too late." Wave grimaces and has veins bulge on his forehead.

Chelsea returns to Night Raid to inform the group that they had leaked information.

"So, our information was leaked to the Jaegers and I was almost caught." Chelsea informs the group.

"Wow, you escaped the group of Jaegers?" Mine asks. If it was her in Chelsea's situation, she might've been killed.

"Fortunately, he had some cats I could transform into before they barged in." Chelsea casually responded.

"Though, you guys can rely on me, because most of you have bounties." Chelsea said cheerily.

"It seems that the new danger beast has been completely eliminated, and now they're full tilt on us. Maybe if we give them Tatsumi they'll stop coming after us?" Leone says and Tatsumi sweat drops

"What?"

Najenda chose this time to come in followed by Vergo.

"Nah, you don't have to worry, as long as you're useful we won't throw you away."

"That's encouraging… and I thought you guys liked me..." Tatsumi mutters under his breath

"The meal is ready." Su interrupts earning everyone's attention.

Najenda steals the attention for herself.

"I know it's a bit sudden, but after this meal… We'll be taking our first steps for the Revolution." Najenda informs the group.
