Once again he is walking past the bathroom and sees her woguing in and out talking to herself. She is literally arguing with herself in the mirror and Hexenbiest is clicking and screeching back at her. She sees him roll his eyes and mutter "women."

She looks at him in a white eyed terror "You saw me arguing with her. I swear, she is crazy!"

He already knows the answer "That's your problem."

She's incredulous "Yeah, well, if I could make her go away forever, I would. I just want to be normal. And you gave me the blood of a Grimm - so now that's never going to happen."

He deadpans "No."

She is confused "No what?"

He's been through this a million times with Wesen "It's not her and you. It's just you. This is who you are."

That's like an insult to her "No! You have no idea what it's like to have this crazy monster inside you. Every single horror film is about me. I'm cursed!"

He understands the reality "It's not a crazy monster inside you. It's just you. This is who you are. It's not a Hexenbiest stuck inside you - YOU are the Hexenbiest"

She's mad. That's the opposite of what she wanted him to say. She feels insulted and launches into complaining again "You are a Grimm. What could you possibly know about Hexenbiests? You have no idea what it's like having a monster inside you, how it makes you think, beating back the crazy, or having to hide it constantly."

He looks at her with an angry look.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to say that. Maybe you do know."

He looks at her and says "Do you know what I do?"

"Um, kill people?"

"Mostly not."

"Ok, then what do you do?"

"I train Wesen"

"But you're a Grimm. You can't possibly train Wesen."

He scowls again. He knows it's going to get worse before it gets better, but he still hates getting constantly insulted and ignored. "I train Wesen to be Wesen. They spend their whole lives beating it back and hiding it from everybody. Wishing they were Kersite, angry at God and the whole world for being what they are. Sound familiar?"

She is silent. She just looks at him for a minute and then hand waves everything he said completely away. She says incredulously. "What? You can't train a Hexenbiest. It's a crazy monster!"

He's laughing inside because *she's* the one who can't be trained. He's trying to turn her towards reality "Really? Who got your whole team AND the whole rescue team murdered? Who kept arguing with customs agents on our trip back?"

But she instantly hand waves all that away. "That's not my fault. I can't help it if there's a bad plan or that the operators are unqualified."

He scowls "Let's say I might know a few Hexenbiests.. They don't open hotel doors for Hundjagers with guns."

She launches straight into complaining and accusing him for everything that happened.

He looks at her angrily and says "Perhaps you should ask your instincts what they sense now."

She stops for a second and gulps "You have a gun?"

He looks sternly "and?"

She gulps again "um, you are going to shoot me?"

He smiles and shows her the pistol in his hand. "Funny how you knew all that. Is there a chance you probably knew about the guys with the guns at the hotel but didn't listen to your instincts?"

She is staring at the gun.

Now he gives her an option. "Look, there's a way to temporarily suppress your powers for a few days. You can try it out if you want, but I guarantee you will hate it. It's like having half your brain turned off."

The idea is like a dream come true to her. "Can we do it now?"

He knows the truth but he also knows she won't listen to anything he says "You'll be miserable. You don't understand how much you rely on your instincts in daily life."

She wants to try it out. He uses the staff and it blocks her powers. She thinks it's the best thing ever... For about the first hour.

Three hours later Julie has already managed to kill herself. Kelly revives Julie - which suppresses her powers further, and she becomes absolutely whiney and horrible.

After a day she finds she utterly hates feeling "dumb and slow". She can no longer heal herself. While she is good at potions - she can't instantly adjust potions or spells instinctively on the fly - she has to really work at it. She has to intensely focus her mind on science and math which she always zoomed through intuitively. And she now doesn't have instant access into other people's thoughts and emotions.

To add insult to injury she finds herself looking "scruffy" and has to actively manage her appearance herself like a normal woman. She finds this reality is horrifying in itself. She starts finding stuff "normal" women deal with daily like bags under her eyes, dark hairs on her face, and pimples. Then she has to deal with managing unruly hair. She has to watch her diet and exercise or her clothes don't fit.

But on the other hand this has been her dream for years. This goes on for well over a month because she keeps managing to kill herself by mistake.

Julie continues to get more frustrated with the situation yet doesn't want her powers back. The worst part is that she seems to be completely ignorant of all the danger around her...

Kelly is an experienced trainer though. The Army taught him to push for results. This is accomplishing the opposite of what he wanted - so it's time to change course and do the opposite. He snickers to himself wondering how he's going to suppress Julie without leaving her constantly blackout drunk.

He babysits her for several days till the effects of the staff wear off. A few days later her powers are back to normal.

It's time to mix up a blender full of her favorite Julie Suppressant - Pink sweet girly drinks! She's past the fourth glass and is now telling him jokes in ancient Sumerian. She has changed into a super tight hooters shirt and shorty shorts kissing all over Kelly. Now he springs the idea of "Julie Suppressant" on her and she thinks that's the best idea ever! A few hours later she's cooked up a recipe for "Julie suppressant." It's a sort of a special anesthesia that doesn't impair her mental or physical abilities. It also doesn't destroy her liver like being drunk all the time would.

After spending several weeks with Melissa - he realizes he *really* likes "Melissa" a whole lot but she is weird. This is the girl who spent weeks telling him jokes in ancient Sumerian, stays out ahead of situations, learns stuff fast, and always did whatever he asked. Melissa pays attention and instantly works through all the training items which Julie wouldn't pay attention to and complained about. And Melissa doesn't mouth off or go all stupid on him.

Melissa's "problem" is that she's not very good with "normal" people when she really starts interacting with them in depth. She doesn't really "get" modern society. She barely speaks English. She refuses to go anywhere without him and she really doesn't like going outside the house without Saudi Arabian style full length black robes with head coverings unless he insists. She only seems to know strange ancient food recipes Kelly is pretty sure haven't seen the light of day in 5,000 years. Modern appliances are a mystery to her. And then there was the goat she slaughtered in the house.

She seems to be perfect around Kelly and knows when to behave but everybody else finds her really creepy, weird, and very foreign. She freaks out Wesen because she has no hesitation Biesting them. Her first answer to every problem is to witch everybody or manipulate stuff telepathically to get her way. And she really likes picking fights for Kelly so she can get her fix of violence on him. "Melissa" surprisingly is not very good with medical work and only about average with potions. She needs "The Books" for most potion work - which makes Kelly realize that she's been thinking about "Julie suppressant" for a while now.

None of that is a good way to get through a normal day in public. While she's not going to get arrested at a checkpoint or let a Hundjager into a hotel room - witches tend to get burned at the stake when people catch on. But she was so tired of Julie and her constant bullheaded foolishness that she doesn't want her back.

But now he has a real problem. He has two sides of the same Hexenbiest who don't want the other side back. He needs to somehow convince Julie and Melissa that they need to reconnect. He knows full well how that usually happens with Hexenbiests - he just doesn't have six years to let the mills of life grind her to dust while her whole life burns down to ash around her. He also doesn't have a 5-year old Diana laying around to force her to value and develop her own powers by blasting her into oblivion over and over.

He's got a plan.
