Epilogue:

Two years, a lot had happened in two years. Defeating the last pockets of the Horde insurrection ate up most of that time. The capture of Hordak was a particularly nice feather to add to the rebellion's cap. In that time Caine had become a man.

The prince was in the gardens of Brightmoon. Sharply dressed in a tuxedo, he solemnly looked down at a grave. The statue of a warrior woman watched over the macabre site. Caine knew her personally. The tombstone read: "Here lies Adora, a misguided Horde soldier and casualty of the Battle of Thaymoor. She may be gone but not forgotten."

"I'm sorry I couldn't join you. Goodbye Adora." The prince held his head down reverently.

"Boo!," a voice shouted directly behind Caine, causing the young mage to jump.

"Glimmer! That wasn't funny," Caine said, suppressing a giggle.

"Then why are you laughing," Glimmer replied with a toothy grin. She had grown taller in the time since the war.

"You got me there sis."

"Why you moping out here? It's not like today's your wedding or anything."

"It's hard to forget the most important day of my life."

"You getting cold feet?"

"No. Just taking a trip down memory lane."

Glimmer looked at the grave silently for a moment. She was trying to think of something to say. "You did all you could for her."

"I wish I could have saved her."

"You know I really hated her. I was glad to hear she was dead. But after all you told me, I'm sorry it had to be you. Caine, you went above and beyond to help her. It's just, some people don't want to be saved."

"I think your right sis," Caine said. He placed his hand on Glimmer's shoulder in wordless gratitude.

"Besides, it's best not to let Catra hear you talking about your ex. That's a good way to ruin a wedding."

"Hey what are you two doing out here!?" Lonnie said, coming into the garden wearing a black dress. "It's almost time for the ceremony to start."

"Be right there," Caine replied.

"I can't believe you made Lonnie your best man," Glimmer sniped.

"I don't have many male friends."

"You could've chose Kyle," Glimmer said smirking.

"Ha ha. You're so funny Glimmer," Caine said.

"Well I better get going. Good luck Mr. Groom." Glimmer walked off and entered the palace.

Caine took one last glance at the grave of his worst enemy. Where once he felt hatred, he now knew only pity. "I hope you're in a better place Adora."

Caine entered the palace and walked towards the altar, waiting for the ceremony to take place. Caine watched his mom getting everything organized and decided not to disturb her.

When the queen saw her son she stopped him.

"Is something wrong mom?"

"I just wanted to take a look at my little man one last time, before he gets married." The queen could barely contain her joy. She looked to be on the verge of tears.

"Mom, it's okay. It's not like I'm going on another diplomacy mission."

"Don't even joke about that. I would have a heart attack if that happened again."

"I just can't believe it's all over. The war with the Horde is over. We are finally free."

"It's all thanks to you and Glimmer."

"You're very kind. But we're not the only ones responsible for victory."

"Oh yes, we can't forget the other princesses and your bride to be."

"Speaking of which, how is Catra?"

"No! Stop it! I don't need my hair brushed!" Catra exclaimed, storming out of the dressing room in her bridal gown. She spotted Caine and ran behind him. "Caine help! They're trying to torture me," she begged, turning her eyes up to the prince.

"Catra, they're not torturing you. They're brushing your hair so that you look nice for our wedding."

"What? Are you calling me ugly?" Catra said, feigning tears.

"You know that's not what I meant. Now go get ready. You know it's bad luck for the groom to see his bride before the wedding."

"Fine! Kiss for luck?" Catra said, puckering her lips.

Caine kissed Catra and rubbed her behind the ears. She let out a soft purr.

"Alright I'm going. See you at the wedding Caine."

"It's a date."

Angelle watched Catra walk off and smiled. "You picked a good one."

"I know she was rough around the edges when I found her. But I think she's the one."

"I thought the same thing when I met your father."

"Mom, I am very grateful to have had you both."

"Your father would be proud."

"Well, I better get ready for the big day. Wish me luck."

Angelle kissed her son's cheek "You'll do fine Caine."

"Thanks mom." Caine ran down the aisle–

"Don't forget I want lots of grandchildren!" he heard his mother call.

It wouldn't be a perfect wedding if mom didn't embarrass me. I love her so much, Caine thought. Arriving at the altar, he saw Lonnie waiting on him. They chose Bow, Glimmer's best friend, to do the service.

As the Wedding March started to play, Catra walked down the aisle. She was surrounded by her three bridesmaids: Mermista, Perfuma, and Glimmer who was also the maid of honor. She was led by her friend Regolio, the lizard man.

The congregation sat in anticipation as Bow ran through the typical wedding fair.

"So we're doing this?" Caine asked.

"Not having second thoughts are you?"

"No. Just seeing if this was a dream."

"Well I hope not, considering I would hate to wake up."

"Do you Caine take Catra to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?" Bow asked.

"I do," Caine said, looking Catra in the eyes.

"And do you Catra take Caine to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?" Bow asked looking at Catra.

She blushed and turned her head, "I guess I do."

"Then with the power vested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife."

Catra and Caine sealed their marriage with a kiss as the cheers of the attendants roared. Catra was handed a bouquet which she promptly threw into the crowd.

Caine led Catra out of the palace to the carriage that would take them to Mystacor. That was where they planned to have their honey moon. The carriage flew into the sky. The duo laughed, holding hands. They looked into each others eyes, kissed each other lovingly, and rode off into the sunset. They all lived happily ever after.
