Leaned up against her husband's shoulder, eyes closed and legs hanging off the edge, she could feel him slightly bouncing.
The baby, having already been fed by Nya was staring up at Jay, and did not seem to be tired at all.
"Come on princess," he says, letting out a yawn, "Daddy has to sleep." He bounces again and brushes a brown curl away from her face, feeling Nya drifting off besides him.

Jay scooped up his two year old daughter, chuckling. "Emma, stop saying hi to uncle Zane or else he might short circuit."

Kai turned around slowly, and very carefully, his heart dropping.
"Shit! Shit shit shit!"
His almost two year old niece, who he was currently watching, and had placed on the carpet in front of him with a couple of her toys, was currently sitting there, toy in hand. And...giggling and repeating his obscenity.
"No. Nononono Emma." He scooped her up, and held her in front of him.
"Shit!"
He let out a groan as his niece simply giggled some more. "Come on Emma, you don't want your uncle Kai to get in trouble, do you?"
Nya was going to kill him.

Zane brought the car around to the front entrance of the hospital, and let the car run as he wanted inside.
Today was the day.
They were bringing their child home.
Taking a glance at the rear view mirror, he could see the newly installed car seat. He laughed to himself as he remembered having to stop Cole, who was supposed to be helping him set it up, from throwing it in a fit of frustration after the first several tries.
But the seat was here, and so was the baby.
He turned towards the front doors of the hospital, looking out for Nya, Maya, and the hospital volunteers who were supposed to be coming down with Pixal and Ezra.
Ezra Julien was born at 3:26am, just the day before.

Pixal slept a lot. Every time she didn't have any homework, she slept.
In fact, most of the time Zane would bring her to his house, and she's fall asleep in his bed, watching him do homework.
It was just so comfy. His bed was comforting, just as much as him. And she was just so tired.
Sometimes she'd wake up a couple hours later, when the afternoon turned into evening. And sometimes, she'd wake up all cuddled up next to Zane, keeping her warm, an arm wrapped around and resting over her still-flat stomach.
His soft breath against her neck. White hair tousled.
This baby was really draining her energy.

"Pixal." He said before they even left the car. "Know that whatever may happen in there, I will always be here for you."

"It's a boy!" The doctor said as the baby began to wail.
Ezra was placed onto Pixal as they began to clean him off. She held the baby close as he cried.
"It's okay, it's okay baby…" she cooed as she patted his back.
Pixal felt Zane's grasp on her shoulder disappear.
She looked up to find his forearm over his eyes, and see him let out a sob. She reached out to hold his other hand, and he immediately kissed her.
"You are amazing."

Skylor laid back on the bed, hand on her belly, other hand scrolling through her phone.
Kai laid on his stomach, rubbing small circles over the top of her bump.
"Nothing today?"
"No."
"Come on, where's my lazy girl, hm?"
The baby kicked, the movement fluttering in response underneath his fingertips.
"I don't think she likes being called lazy."
"Oh, I'm sorry my princess, but I can't wait to see you."

"Hi Baby!"
The little girl squealed as Kai lifted her up, pressing a smattering of kisses to her cheek.
"I miss you." She said as she snuggled into his neck, not letting go.
He frowned. "I missed you too. But don't worry, I'm here now."
The little girl held on just a little bit tighter.
"Where's mommy?" he asked.
"Kai."
Uh oh.
He quickly placed his daughter down on the floor before kneeling in front of her. "How about you go get your dolls, so we can play, okay?"
She nodded her head and ran away.
Kai took the moment to head towards the kitchen where Skylor was, chopping vegetables.

"There is some milk in the fridge. Put it in the bottle and warm it. Make sure you test it."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I got it," Echo replied as he rolled his eyes and paused the game.
"Pixal should be here in an hour."
"I know, I knowwwwwwwww." he groaned. "Honestly Zane, bro, I feel so offended that you don't trust me." Echo slung an arm over Zane's shoulder, leaning onto him.
"I trust you. You're just too young to be taking care of a three month old infant."
"Funny thing is, I can say the same thing about you."
Zane teasingly pushed his brother off of him, making his way out the door.
"See you Echo, try not to wake the baby!"
