Chapter 21
Angel ached all over. Her limbs were tired from trying to escape from her encounter with Mathew.
He paid with his life in the end. She wanted to feel better but why couldn't she?
David drove rapidly down the hill away from the club passing people and cars on the road. She could faintly hear people curse as they drove right through. but they needed to get away not only from the sun, which was soon to show, but also Away from her family. Her Parents. How did they know where they were?
…didn't you need to call anyone?... here borrow Henry's cell…
Mathew had offered a phone to Luke. Of course, he would call Mom or Dad right before being taken. Having no clue that Mathew was a double-crosser.
The guilt pinged through her. It was all her fault that he was taken and probably to where Emma had George. She should not have had the drink-
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Her mind screamed.
I'll get you back. I promise. She had the boys, and she could use that. Even though she already messed up on pretty much everything else. She knew that the only thing that mattered was getting her brothers back.
Her head began to fuzz again, and she squeezed tighter to David's abdomen.
Just hold tight so you don't fall off the speeding bike. She told herself and it seemed to work for the most part. The cold air helped to soothe the pain in her face and head. Numbing to a point. Only holding in a few breaths as David would make a sharp turn down corner after corner.
Hidden in the hills he began slowing enough for her to loosen her grip. She leaned away from his back to look away toward the ocean in the distance as they drove away.
She then remembered that the boat would be somewhere out there. They were going the wrong way but to avoid going toward the ocean where the sun was soon to rise.
She turned back to David looking up at his hair. Its white halo made her want to touch it wondering if it were as soft as she thought it was. Her hands pulled apart fingers curling into his shirt. And she could not help but wonder what he looked like underneath. She leaned in closer to him her fingers moving against his chest. Then the smooth leather-gloved hand moves atop hers. she looked up to catch a bit of a smirk in the corner of his mouth and She suddenly blushed. Had he been hearing her the whole time?
David slowed and turned down one last dark and quiet neighborhood. And stopped as did the boys shutting off the bikes.
"do you think they went to the cave?" Paul asked.
"They know we're not that stupid to go back," Dwayne answered.
"it doesn't matter. We just need a place for the day." David added looking around "no one with children. At this point the older the better." With that, the boy vanished to search the houses. leaving her and him together on the bike.
He exhaled leaned back into her and she couldn't help but smile as he kept leaning and leaning. At that point, her whole arm was holding David her elbow hitting at the sides of his chest.
"how do you feel?" he asked her. she took a moment as her body heat was returning. Her scalp was only tender in a few spots from where it was pulled. Her cheek even stopped fuming from the slap. The only thing that was a bother was the fuzzy sensation still in the front of her head. It had come in waves but had been decreasing since then.
"I'm fine." She lied.
"hmmm." He mumbled as if he had caught the lie as well. Maybe he did still hear her.
"Can you still hear me?"
He turned his mouth open to say something then turned toward a small sound down the street, always away. A sound she barely makes out but followed his eyes seeing where it had come from.
Far down the block, the only house who's garage light was shining out into the darkness. Someone, no, an old man, was walking out slowly holding a bag of trash out to cans at the end of his driveway.
David in a flash got off the bike and before she could fall over grabbed the bike's handles to hold straight and began pushing it up the road. With a small low whistle. The boys reappeared grabbing their bikes too.
"I had found a couple places," Paul said pulling up by her right.
"Same," Dwayne added following the rear looking behind them as if someone were to show up.
"A few more down in the opposite direction." Marko also said giving her a small smile.
"it's alright, I can walk." She said. When he stopped, she stood feeling like jelly, pulling her right leg up and over. Gripping onto David's right arm falling into his chest. She straightened up fixing his jacket that she was wearing and started walking as he did.
The old man was just making his way back to his home when the sound the footsteps made him turn to stare out into the dark. As each of them appeared closer into the light. he moved his hand toward from the garage button but stopped when she came into view.
"you- Are you the young miss from the laundry mat?" he said walking out to them.
"Yes." She said with a small smile. "sorry to disturb you."
He leaned forward to get a better look at her squinting as if reading something upon her face. His eyes widened a bit and looked from her to the boys in a serious manner.
"is something wrong? Are you alright?" he said nodding in her direction.
"Everything's fine." She smiled to give him a little reinsurance. "one of our bikes gave out."
"did you need me to call someone? Your parents-"
She had opened her mouth to speak but David spoke growing impatient "no, but we'd like to use your home." Moving between them taking small steps closer to the old man.
"Stay in my home?" He said now feeling again uneasy.
Angel shifted her attention to David watching as he was getting closer to the old man. Her hand moved down to his hand thinking that in a flash they would be on the old man's neck and in one snap-
It would be easy; a frail old man didn't have a chance.
"Just for the night." She said stepping back into view.
Angel started to feel uneasy herself maybe it was not a good idea. She couldn't see herself sleeping in this old man's home. A strange old man who she'd only met one time, used him, and now about the be used again.
David shifted a little closer. "Please let us stay." He smirked leaning down to stare into the old man's eyes.
"of course," the old man answered turning to walk away back to the house.
The boys lead the bikes into the garage to keep hidden once everyone was inside the old man pushed the button to close the garage door.
"this way." He said opening the door that leads into his home. "come. Come in."
The magic words used so boys could enter with no problems each walking into a small kitchen with an LED light shining down on them like the sun itself.
"Are you…kids hungry?" he said continuing forward toward the fridge. "I don't have much, my daughter comes by occasionally bringing me stuff from those giant stores. I don't like walking that much."
Angel's stomach had dropped she couldn't think of food right now.
"no, we're fine," David said his shoulder bumping into her.
"well help yourselves if you change your mind. Now I have 2 vacant rooms upstairs and then there's the living room." He said as we followed him rounding a small coroner.
A loud growl boomed from said living room followed by a large old dog in view from its bed on the floor next to an old used chair.
Paul was so quick to stand behind Angel as he saw the dog.
"hush duke HUSH! Lay down." the dog obeyed laying its head down, small grumbles coming from his throat not taking its eyes off the boys as they all entered.
"do you have a basement?" David asked eyeing the living room, ignoring the dog.
"yes, it only has old furniture, Christmas boxes and-"
"that would be great. Show us." David interrupted.
The man looked for a moment raising one of his bushy eyebrows then he started downstairs.
Angel watched as David pointed to Paul and Dwayne to follow. But both Marko and David remained in the living room saying something then turned looking to her.
"Go ahead, I…" she held her arms as if cold, turning around toward a chair and collapsed in it.
Her whole body ached, her head most of all. She leaned into her hand to hold up her head.
"You're in pain," Marko said kneeling in front of her. Worry painted on his face.
"I'm just tired." She said in a soft whisper.
"Just tell me. Please?"
"you're a doctor now?" she joked. He tried to hold back from smiling.
"My face doesn't hurt. It's just internal pain." She said pulling away from his outstretched hand.
"I'll be back," Marko said walking away and going downstairs.
David had walked over slowly and sat on the chair arm that she was in. She turned to him looking up at his face that was looking about the room.
He did finally look down at her, His hand gently reaching to touch her cheek. Her hand went to his, his same hand that broke Mat's Jaw.
His hand left her cheek as Marko returned upstairs going toward the kitchen opening cabinets coming back to the living room with a bottle of what looked like medicine.
"here," he shook the bottom and two large white pills came out which he handed over to her with a bottle of water.
She held it out for a moment looking at them.
"it's just something for the pain," Marko said.
"Do you need anything else?" he asked leaning forward a bit. "ice?"
"no, Thank you, Marko. The pills should be working soon. you should go get rest now, I'll be alright."
He turned giving her a half-smile before looking to David who stood from her chair arm toward Marko. Patting his shoulder, just before heading downstairs.
They were alone again. Her eyes on David's feet as they started toward the hallway, but she grabbed his hand. He turned his head sideways to look at her questionably and she opened her mouth to speak but closed it, taking a step to him looking to the basement. She really didn't want to be alone.
She wished he could hear her at that moment pleading that he stay with her. Sleep…with her.
Her eyes rose back to his face tracing each line of his feature. the light blue in his eyes that always shined and the curve of his lips which she wanted to kiss.
I want you to hold me and kiss me, she thought.
And his hands-
"Ready for bed?" the old man said coming up from downstairs.
Her mind broke away from his cheeks turning a shade of red as she dropped David's hand and turned to the old man with a smile. "Yes sir."
"this way then." He slowly walked toward some stairs.
"Goodnight." She said softly to David. Turning to follow.
"now you boys behave, don't be getting into anything." She took one step and saw David wasn't in the living room.
"you can take our guest bedroom which is across from mine this way he pointed. Or down the other side is my daughters' old room.
"it doesn't matter to me," she had said even though she really didn't want to be across from him. She already felt strange being there in the first place.
"then maybe my daughter's room would be better her old mattress is softer. She got some clean clothes in the drawers; you can help yourself."
He opened the door to the room and turned on the light. It was simple but with just enough of a personal touch. Things she probably wouldn't need living at her own home all that remained was a small bookshelf With a few books, an old painted floral vanity with a few glass dance figurines, and an old jewelry box.
Across the bed was a quilt blanket with bunnies and birds, and flowers along the border.
"will this be comfortable?" he asked turning his slowly to her.
"of yes, your way to kind." She smiled; she had been still hugging herself from entering his house not in a cold way but with a sense of intrude being in his home.
"so, is he your boyfriend?"
His sudden question made her cheeks blush knowing that David might have been listening well they all were.
"No, just friends." She answered.
He grabbed her hand lightly making her look to him. "they didn't hurt you, did they?"
"oh no, they would never," she said slowly.
"not in any trouble?" she shook her head no. But she wasn't necessarily free either.
He patted her hand gently. "I know you're a good girl and I know you can take care of herself. I guess it was just a fatherly instinct having one of my own."
Fatherly instinct. Her chest fell rushing thoughts back to her own Dad. How angry he looked. I'm sorry Dad. I'll fix everything.
"Thank you again, I'm sorry we just barraged in on you."
He shook his head. "it's no problem." He started back to the hall and turned. "silly of me but I missed your name?"
Don't give him your full name just in case. "Angel." She answered.
"you can call me Martin," he said giving her a smile. "get some rest dear. I won't bug you anymore. See you in the morning."
She closed the door behind him and listened to his slow footsteps. after he reached further down the hall and with a call of his dog. She could hear his patter of paws on the hardwood to their room closing the door.
She exhaled slowly pushing away from the door. Walking over to the bed. It was neatly made piled high with pillows. As she started pulling one by one off, she thought of Home. Her own room which she kept moderately clean Mom never bugged her about. But this reminded her more of Grandma she did this when she came over or when they stayed with her. It made her miss being able to retreat to her room do whatever, lock herself away from George or Luke, and Even Mom or Dad.
She pulled off David's jacket laying it on the bed railing and that's when a strange but familiar smell hit her. Not from his jacket but from herself. Mathew's smell. She felt suddenly dirty quickly ripping off the shirt throwing it on the floor. She went through the drawers Martin had indicated that his daughter owns but no longer needed. Finding some old and worn t-shirts and some shorts. She took everything off leaving on her underwear to try and rid herself of his smell. She wished she could take a shower, but it was too late for that Martin was already in bed probably asleep.
She took all the clothes in her hand leaving her underwear and placed them on the floor next to the door. "trash." Regretting she even put on Emma's clothes. But at least it was she had stolen from.
She glanced over to the Vanity seeing her reflection. She took a step toward it leaning down. She did look tired as she felt. Her hair an uncontrollable mess moving a hand through to push it down more. The tender spots that were once there began to fade probably due to the medicine. She rubbed her eyes moving away from the vanity and back to the bed.
Her hand gripped the blankets to pull them back from the tuck. Her fingers moved over the Soft sheets and she slid in legs also rubbing organist the smooth surface. It was when she finally laid her head down that the wave of exhaustion hit.
Silence had filled the room. No ocean waves crashing against rocks or the echoes of birds that were living in the cave.
She moved to her side to get more comfortable, curling into a ball when it grew colder. She reached out for the blanket and Something touched her. She pulled her hand back sitting up a bit seeing nothing laying back down. Again, something touched her this time touching her legs. When she tried pulling them up, they were yanked back down. She quickly sat up seeing a dark figure above her, their hands now clamping over her mouth blocking her scream. The cold came from the figure moving along her body making her unable to move.
The figure leaned down for her to see that it was Mat.
Her eyes widened with horror to see him with an evil expression as he looked down upon her.
"there you are." He whispered leaning down to her. She moved her face to the side the best she could away from his.
His elbow suddenly stabbed her chest causing her to gasp.
No one was coming. Couldn't they hear her struggling?
Tears began to stream down her face. "David, please help me! Please god someone- "
"Angel." She jerked awake, quickly sitting up.
David's figure stood close beside the bed, sticking his gloveless hands in his pockets. "it was a nightmare." She could see him much better as her eyes adjusted standing so still and quiet as if he were death here to take her away.
She lifted and off the bed and without thinking hugged him. She was afraid that he could have also been a dream. He tensed at her sudden embrace but raised a hand from out of his pocket to place on her back.
"I didn't expect to fall asleep so fast." She said pressing her cheek into his chest. "it was…bad." She made out.
"well it must have been I could hear you from downstairs," she lifted her head up from his chest to look at him.
"I was making sounds or was I speaking?"
"you were saying a few things, small words, calling out for me," his eyes went down to hers. "I came before your screams grew too loud."
"I… was screaming?" she questioned. She looked to the bedroom door that was opened slightly from David's entrance. "did anyone else hear me?"
"asleep. And it wasn't loud barely heard by the human ear."
"Oh," her attention was brought back to him as he shifted a bit. "sorry." She said releasing him and returning to the bed to sit. "didn't mean to get in your personal space."
"it's fine." He said a smiled tugging on the corner of his mouth.
Her eyes wandered toward the window across the room. A faint blue halo popping up from the top of the curtains. "what time is it?"
"few hours till dawn, you slept for about an hour."
"wow, it didn't feel like it. Are the boys?"
"I told them to sleep."
"But you're not." She said looking at his face.
"I don't sleep much anymore. I just wanted to make sure that you…were alright first. I guess it's good I didn't."
"thank you." She said her cheeks a little warm as she watched him stare at her. She hugged herself feeling the cold breeze against her skin and as if David had read her mind her reached down to one of the blankets pulling it to her.
She took it with covering her legs. "so, you can still hear me?" she still questioned.
"not really, single words or pop up images."
"well if I showed you anything from my nightmare then you had a rough experience too. So, join the club." She tried to joke. But her face failed in an attempt to laugh because her mind puzzled over what kind of drugs might have caused everything to happen to her.
David's hands grabbed her face turning her full attention back on him.
"you don't need to worry about that ever happening again. he's gone and will never get to you. And if for some god damn reason, he does I will kill him- again."
She suddenly felt lighter than air from David's words. Something she hadn't seen from him was genuinely caring. And she wanted him to save her, to keep saving her if she needed it. Her hand went up moving across his.
"can you stay with me…till I fall asleep?"
He leaned forward face almost touching hers. She leaned back a bit holding her breath as she watched him grab the heel of his boots to pull each of them off. Still within inches apart he got into the bed sitting beside her.
She thought on it a moment if she should just lay down and try to go back to sleep but She moved to sit right up beside him, laying her head back on his chest and his arm hesitated before it wrapped around her back.
"Is this ok?" she asked softly not moving around too much.
She could feel his fingers dig slightly into her more. "yes." He whispered. And She grinned.
She liked this feeling of being in his arms. However, as her head was feeling more clearer it reminded her what her situation of why she was there. She was in the arms with a dangerous vampire who hours ago killed at least 3 people in front of her. The very same vampire that wants revenge on her parents in whatever fashion would satisfy him. Yet the only thing she wanted to think about was the times he kept her from dying. Of how strong he was, of how she could just be here like this forever…with him.
"thank you. And I warn you now this is the last time I will be saying that." He gave a small snort.
"you don't need to apologize. You don't have to say anything else, and we don't have to talk about it."
"no, I need to get this off my chest." I know I messed up." At this point, she wanted to forget who she was talking to. Not the vampire she was in the arms with but of someone she needed to have this conversation with that wasn't Marko. Whom she knew was caring and would listen to the whole heartily, but David was different.
"Not intentionally," he said grabbing her chin to look at him. "He blocked you from me. if it's anyone's fault…I should have gone over to the bar with you not him. When I saw how he put his hands on you…" the anger was a sharp blue in his eyes. He removed his hand and she could think was no, hold my face again. He didn't.
If David could get any colder it was at that moment. "And when I watched you with him. I wanted to break everyone's neck in the path to you." Heat rose to her cheeks.
So, he was paying attention to her on the dance floor not only with Mat's objection, but did he see how she had been angry and foolishly decided to tease that anger?
David smirked. "you're picturing your dancing and anger?"
"I didn't think you cared about it really with that girl there. So, I went dancing trying to find some info- "
"As was I- "he said. "I did see you Dance and your need for attention. Reminded me someone similar- "David turned away and she knew who he was thinking about now. Her mother.
David scoffed. "sometimes I forget who you are and who your damn family is."
she remained silent unsure of what to say or how to take what he said.
"seeing their horrified faces." He continued. I wide grin now painted over his face of pure enjoyment. "that's a moment worth living for over and over."
She shifted uncomfortably. She wouldn't agree to the fact that he had some right, he did try and kill her dad just because he falls for Mom.
"you definitely played a part too. Choosing to come with me and not them must have been quite a hit."
"I didn't play anything." She said sitting up out of his arm. "I knew that there was more going on than just what is going on between you and my- them." David's grin now faded. "I'm sorry but I'm being honest, yes I left with you because I need to find my brothers and I knew you'd help me."
David was quick to sit up and grabbed her jaw. "really? Is that what's happening? That I would help you? For your own cause?" the sharpness within his icy irises tried to pierce into her but she ignores it.
"yes. In whatever situation is going on. And if that means bad people die so be it. I'm willing to sacrifice my morels for them. And once there safely home you can do whatever you want with me. Keep me kill me whatever," David sat back eyebrow raised. "but I will not take part or be involved with my families…demise."
David released her jaw turned his head away looking toward the window. "I'm not going to kill you." She released the breath she was holding.
"All I want to do is make them miserable till they hate me to the core and then there's the other part of me wants to just get it over with by killing them while they sleep."
"there's more to life than just killing. Yes, you hate them so much. Michael and Star." As if she had slapped him, he narrowed his eyes at sure trying to understand where she was going with this. "I think your strong enough to put this whole 'finding the real ending of this story' that suits you."
David remained quiet as she bravely continued.
"I'm guessing you and the boys have been friends for a long time, right? Do you really think they want to continue this too?
"you presume so much!" he said through clenched teeth. And she watched as he over towered her in anger. "they will always stick with me to the end. I've given them more than you will even know." His face curled with anger.
"little girl, you have no clue at all."
"well, I'm trying to help you! I'm trying to understand!" she yelled back but keeping it moderately within the room. "it's called surviving. And as you have said before we're all trying to do that. Do you really think you are foolish enough to believe it's going to end well for everyone? It's not David. And I'm sorry but you're an even bigger idiot if you think you'll win this." She moved as if to move off the bed, but he grabbed her arm pulling her back to the bed moving atop her. She showed no fear though, but it didn't stop her heart from racing.
David was fighting to speak opening his mouth to say hateful things but immediately closing it. He grunted removing himself from her to sit on the edge of the bed. Closing his hands so tightly into fists that if he had a regular body temperature, they would be a shade of red.
David remained silent for a while and judging by his different expressions. Thinking about what she entailed. Anger. Frustration and maybe even a hint of quilt.
"David," Angel scooted a little closer to him reached out to gently touch his arm. "I'm not trying to make you angry, but I know I'm right. please just talk to me.
David let out a long sigh his forehead falling in what looked like defeat.
"maybe if we do go away, ill forget all about it. I mean this time if I'm wiser and not get myself killed." His voice was soft again and she could tell he was having a hard time speaking like this.
"what do you mean?"
"your idea. Leave without a trace, start anew. I don't feel like dying again. Limbo isn't a pleasant place."
"Limbo, like between heaven and hell?"
"you could say that it was like a being in a coma stuck in replaying memories. I don't really wish to relive."
She investigated his face so full of expression thoughts and pain.
"the guys and I have talked about traveling before. Somewhere bigger and exciting."
"you wouldn't miss it here?"
"Santa Carla? I wasn't from here originally, my parents use to live across the sea when pregnant with me we moved to the states when I was about," David thought about it by the way his brows furrowed. "9 I believe, my old man was in the army and moved a lot. Santa Carla was the place I ran away to, to avoid living a military life."
"I guess I have a bit of a similar understanding. My hometown is closer to the north, in the mountains like we get snow in the winter. Anyways, it Mostly consists of old people and religious groups. So, when we did come to visit it was beautiful and fun except it was only a vacation and I would have to return home. And now I have realized a few days ago I was someone different thinking about that return home, probably to never leave. Get married, have children Have a shitty job." She paused seeing it flashing in her head. "right now, I'm living a full fantasy and I kinda like it. I can see myself leaving," this time she went from staring off to looking at him was listening intently. "please take me with you. I long for adventure, freedom, to have fun, and do I want I please. I want to ride with you… forever. Danger and all." The heat now rising in her cheeks made her squeezed her hands tightly together before she continues. "I really care for you David; I don't know what it is but ever since I first met you, it's weird but I knew I needed you, and that you might need me."
David did not say anything, and she thought she had just made a fool of herself by the growing pit in her stomach. "sorry that was uncalled for I know I look like her and it must still hurt you. I shouldn't even ask. But something inside me is telling me to help you."
David's expression changed completely his face relaxed with a new boyish charm. He reached for her his thumbs gently caressing her cheeks. "Are you serious?"
Her hand moved over his and squeezed as she nodded. He pulled her face to his and pressing his lips to hers. She pulled away and he smiled looking down at her face. Every anxious looming thought she had flown away now. Silenced by his icy lips back over hers.
She lifted her hand to gently touch his face its cool surface under her fingertips moving up and through his soft hair. God, she wanted to do that so long.
They kissed again except it was hungrier. The way his mouth moved everywhere across her corner to corner, she took a breath every moment she got to keep up with him.
He slowly moved more into her, making her lay down. His chest pressed gently into hers no breath moving from his except in her own. His arm kept him propped up while the other was still holding her face.
His kisses moved down from her lips to her cheek then along her jawline. She titled her head as he reached her neck lips lightly brushing over her skin, a sudden ache filled her thinking he would bite But he continued to kiss her to a point just under her ear and she felt a wave of warmth vibrate through her body releasing a moan from her lips.
He shifted himself the hand that was propping him up now was holding the base of her skull, fingers curling through her blonde locks. while the other slowly moved to hold her waist then glided over her stomach making her shake.
She felt a warmth down in the pit of her stomach making her body ache differently than before between her legs.
"wait," she said leaning forward from his touch. He sat back and watched as she pulled off her shirt. A little heat rose to her face as she looked at David looking over her creamy skin. His hand held out tracing over the skin of her arms causing goosebumps to form.
"I want to." She said softly. His eyes moved quickly from her body back to her face.
Angel put her hand onto his chest gently pushing him into a sitting position. she bent to her knees a few inches taller to David. Her thighs moving to either side of his hips. Leaning forward toward him her head slanted, pushing her long thick blonde hair out of the way for him. "Please. Hear me."
She wanted him to hear her and see him through her own eyes. Wanted to say things through her mind she couldn't put into words.
And she remembered the blood was some form of aphrodisiac for a vampire in the case of… sex. At least from what Paul had said to her in the cave. When she was offering hers to Marko not knowing that then.
His hand moved behind her back finger digging into her skin to pull her closer to him. The other took hold of her jaw moving it slowly to the side. He Lowered into the curve of her neck inhaling her scent. Then with his tongue traced the curvature of her eyes fluttered but didn't shut.
"Relax," he whispered lips brushing over her skin again. Her legs beginning to shake at his voice.
His fangs pierced her skin and she gripped his arm that was holding her. Her legs tightening over his hips. Her hand moved up to his back pulling his shirt into her fist.
A moan came from her lips, as he began to suck her. Slight pain disappearing with a warm heat now traveling her body. There were no visions like last time, but she didn't need to feel anything then what she felt with him right now.
Her mind raced. Thinking about him. Imagining her hands on his chest. She didn't care anymore as she reached under his shirt moving to his skin. The muscles in his back tensed to her touch every fingertip made him jump.
"oh," she said beginning to remove her hand, but he stopped her arm holding her wrist. He moved slightly back from her still face to face, noses almost touching. Blood trickled down his lip. He removed his shirt never taking his eyes off her.
He lifted her hands placing him against his chest. "I like the warmth. It's just…been so long. Since I've had anyone touch me." Maybe that was why he was so covered up with his jacket and gloves.
Her eyes roamed over his own chest her hands moving over his skin with no flinching. He was handsome like a god painted in the moonlight. When her eyes flickered back to his he leaned in kissing her. Trailing along her face back to her neck licking the wounds to close. When he returned to her lips, they were even hungrier than before his hands were gripping her thighs, moving fingertips up her hips, her waist and stomach. As if she was in a cold shower the sensation made her body tremble, covered in gooseflesh. And she loved it given the moans that escaped her lip, feeling a sense of pleasure now throbbing between her legs.
"David," she mouthed making him suddenly stop His confusion made something go off. He pulled back looking desperately into her face as if he were waiting for something. Or maybe trying to find something in her thoughts. He moved the hair from her face and rose off the bed. Grabbing his shirt from wherever it fell.
She sat up, bringing her knees to her chest watching him as he put back on his shoes.
She didn't understand what she did wrong.
"nothing." He replied leaned to his elbow on his knees. He rubbed his face and the back of his neck. "fuck..." he whispered under his breath.
He moved a hand through his hair and stood straightening before turning around. He leaned grabbing her shirt handing it to her which she put back on.
"I just…. can't do It. All I see is her face staring back at me." he said looking away for her. "I see her, but I know it's not her. It feels wrong." Again, he cursed under his breath.
She understood to an extent she didn't really see herself looking like her mother or maybe she just got used to having similar features. Eyes. Maybe even their noses. Her smile was her dad's. She had to stop thinking. She straightened getting up from the bed and pulling back on the pants.
David now watched her sudden movements and watched her as she came over to him but not close. She hugged her body tightly. "Your right."
Her eyes were now looking up at his with guilt. "I'm glad we talked. You'll be safe to rest today. I promised nothing will happen to you."
