The rest of the year went by without a hitch for Harry. Eventually, Hermione's parents came over to see how Ilvermorny was also and had a grand tour, the same as Harry's family. Professor Fontaine was also kind enough to arrange for the Grimes family and Shane to come to watch one of Harry's Quidditch games. Harry was so excited to have his family in the crowd watching, and Carl was just as excited to watch his brother play Quidditch. Throughout the entire game, Lori had an iron grip on Rick's arm, scared half to death that something would happen to Harry. But in the end, Harry caught the snitch and won the game for Wampus. He was allowed to keep the snitch and flew over to give it to Carl. The little boy was so excited to have his very own snitch.

As the term came to a close and Christmas break was upon them. Rick asked Harry if he wanted to go back to England to be with Sirius and Remus or have them be with them. Given a choice, Harry wrote Sirius and Remus a letter asking if they wanted to spend Christmas with his family in Georgia. Christmas turned out to be the best holiday that Harry ever had, with his new family, his two godfathers, and his honorary uncle.

The years went by, and it was finally time for Harry and Hermione to graduate. They both ended up graduating with honors and getting to go to the school of their choice in the fields they had chosen. Hermione had decided that she was going to continue her schooling and go into law. Hermione decided to be an attorney and work for MACUSA and in the No-Maj world. So, she went to New York City and began her studies at the University that was sponsored by MACUSA.

Meanwhile, Harry decided to go back to Georgia and study in Atlanta in the Healer Program that was offered in the magical district of Atlanta. But first, for the summer, Harry was going to do a little camping, fishing, and hunting with his dad, Carl, and Shane. Harry decided that as a special treat, he was going to buy magical tents and get undetectable Extension Charm and featherweight packs for them.

The day of the trip, Harry gives the guys their new packs, "What's this," Rick asks.

"These are undetectable Extension Charm and featherweight packs. You can put anything you want in them, and they'll never get heavy. Though, I think there's a weight limit of five hundred pounds."

Shane whistles, "That's not bad, Man. What other bags of tricks do you have?"

Harry smiled, mischievously, "You'll see when we set up camp."

And boy were they surprised when the group reached the campsite and found that Harry's tents were the size of small apartments, with showers, individual rooms, a bathroom with a shower, a kitchen with a stove and refrigerator and a living room. Carl looked around in awe, "Wow, wizards think of everything."

Harry smiled and patted his little brother's shoulder, "Yes, we do."

After that, Harry and his family spent the best two weeks of his life, camping, hunting, fishing, and swimming. When the trip ended, Harry moved to Atlanta and got his an apartment close to the Magical University, where Harry would be taking his Healer courses. Harry worked as hard as he could so that he could graduate early and get his Healer's license and get to work in the hospital. Harry took night classes and summer classes just to graduate in three years instead of four. So the year that Harry turned twenty, he graduated from Healer's school and got a job at the local Magical hospital in Atlanta. That was the best year of his adult life until tragedy struck. Rick had been shot when he was on the job.

Harry had taken some time off and had gone to New York to visit Hermione, who was now working for the legal department at MACUSA. They had gone out for lunch when Shane called Harry and told him that his dad had been shot and that he was in a coma, "Is he alright, Shane?"

"The doctor's think that he'll live, but he needs to be in a coma to heal; it could take a month or more for him to heal properly," Shane informed Harry.

"How are Mom and Carl?"

"Devastated, your dad needed a transfusion, and Carl wanted to donate since he has the same blood type as Rick. But, you know, he's too little."

"Right. Okay, I'm on my way home to help out," Harry said.

"There's nothing you can do, Bud, the doctors are doing all they can," Shane said.

"Shane, a gunshot wound is nothing for a magical healer. I'll be home as soon as I can. Tell Mom and Carl not to worry; I'll take care of everything."

"Harry, what happened," Hermione asked.

"Dad's been shot."

"Merlin, no! Is it serious?"

"Enough that they need to put him in a coma to heal. I'm sorry to cut my visit short, Hermione, but I have to go."

"No, I understand, Harry, please let me know if there's anything I can do to help."

Harry leaned over and kissed Hermione's cheek, "Thank you, I will, and I'll keep you posted."

With that, Harry and Hermione paid the bill then headed back to Hermione's apartment so that Harry could pack. With the wave of his wand, Harry packed everything away; then, they walked to the neared apparations point. Harry hugged Hermione, and he apparated to King's County.

Harry arrived at the apparation point in King's County. Harry was able to walk the rest of the way home. When he got there, Harry unlocked the door with his key and walked in. Lori was sitting in the living room with Carl in her arms, rocking back and forth while he cried. Shane was standing in the corner with his eyes closed and his arms crossed. Harry walked more into the living room, "Mom, Carl?"

They both looked up, and Carl let go of his mother and lunged for Harry and started sobbing again. Harry picked up the little boy, and Carl wrapped his arms around Harry's neck, "Dad's been shot, Harry!" Carl mumbled into Harry's neck.

"Don't worry, bud, I'm going to fix everything."

Carl pulled away, "How?"

"With magic," Harry said, then winked.

Carl sniffled and looked into his brother's green eyes, "Really?"

"Yes."

Lori stood up and hugged Harry, "Thank you, Harry."

"No need to thank me, Mom, he's my Dad. I would do anything for him or any of you."

"What are you going to do, Man," Shane asked.

"I can give him nutrient potions instead of the IV they give him so that his body doesn't wither away. I can speed up the healing of his wound, though I'll have to do it little by little or else the medical staff will think it's odd that Dad healed so quickly. I'll give him blood replenishing potions if he needs them. And Pepper-Up potion when Dad wakes up to get him back on his feet faster," Harry explained.

"Wow," Carl said.

"If he had been taken to a magical hospital, he'd be healed by now. No-Maj wounds are easily fixed." Harry explained, "Why don't we get started now?"

Shane nodded and offered to take Harry to the hospital. When they got there, Rick was pale and on a respirator. Shane rubbed his face, feeling terrible at how bad Rick looked. The nurse had just left after changing Rick's IV bag. Harry watched as the nurse left then checked the hall to make sure no one was coming back. He pulled out another IV bag from his medical bag.

Harry started to change out the bags, "Useless saline," Harry mumbled. Once he was finished, Harry waved his wand over the bag, "What are you doing," Shane asked.

"I've cast a spell so that every time Dad's IV is changed; it will be replaced with the nutrient bag."

Shane nodded. Shane noticed the difference in Rick as soon as the new IV fluid was changed. Color started to return to Rick's cheeks; he seemed more at ease. Harry then waved his wand over Rick and ran a diagnostic charm over him. His dad was healing nicely but very slowly. At the rate, Rick was improving, and it could be weeks if not months before Rick woke up. Harry was going to cut that time in half.

Harry took off Rick's bandage and started applying ointments to the wound; the wound would help it heal faster and would prevent infection better than what the doctors had. Occasionally, Shane would look outside to make sure that no one was coming. When Harry finished, he packed up his equipment and nodded towards Shane; then they left Rick's hospital room.

Harry's treatments went on for two weeks until all hell broke loose. It started as rumors that people were attacking and biting other people. It was thought to be a case of rabies, but then these people were irrational and wouldn't stop with just a bite; they would begin to eat their victims. The police had shot several of them, but they would only get back up and continue towards them. Until eventually someone would shoot them in the head. At that point, the body would crumple to the ground.

Such cases were happening throughout the country, and people were being told to stay in their home and not to come near people who were acting strangely. Eventually, the Military stepped in and advised that if you had means to make it to Atlanta where a safe zone had been established.

Shane rushed over to Rick's house, "We have to move, The military is at the hospital killing everyone. I need to get you guys out of here and to Atlanta."

"Wait, what about Dad," Carl asked.

"I blocked the door so that they wouldn't get in. Hopefully, the military won't search the rooms. Now come on, get packing."

While Lori and Carl started packing their clothes, Harry began to charming their bags with undetectable Extension Charms so that they could take as much as they wanted, "Pack some clothes for Dad as well. I'm going to go get him."

"Harry, you can't go right now, the military is killing everyone," Shane said.

"Alright, I'll wait an hour then go. I'll apparate straight into Dad's room. Don't wait for us."

"But Harry, we shouldn't be separated," Lori said to her boy.

"Don't worry, Mom, I will find you, and I will have Dad with me, I promise."

Lori hesitated, but she saw the look of determination in her son's eyes, he had the same look that Rick would get when he wasn't going to change his mind. Lori sighed and nodded, "Alright, but you take care of yourself and your dad, and we'll see you soon. Okay?" Lori said, then gave Harry a fierce hug.

"Okay, Mom."

Carl came over to his brother and hugged him tightly. "Be careful, Carl, and look after Mom."

"I will, Harry. You and Dad hurry."

"We will."

Shane then hugged Harry and told him to be careful and that they'll be waiting for them in Atlanta. With that, Harry gave them the undetectable Extension Charmed bags and helped Carl finish packing. Once they were ready, Harry helped them load up their suitcases in Lori's SUV, and they left.

Harry waited precisely an hour then apparated into the hospital. The massacre was still going on outside Rick's hospital room. He could hear people screaming as they were being attacked. Ignoring his instincts to help, Harry disconnected Rick from everything, cast a feather-light charm on him, and picked Rick up. There was no way that Harry was going to be able to heal Rick in the hospital. He had to take him home to do it. So, holding on tightly to his dad, Harry apparated back to the house. A moment later, someone in the military opened the door to see if anyone was inside.

Harry apparated straight into Rick's bedroom. He laid his dad down, then went downstairs and started to put up repelling wards around the house to keep any intruders out, living, or dead. To be on the safe side Harry place an undetectable charm on Hedwig so that none of those creatures could attack her. The only one that would be able to see her would be her family. He decided to send Hedwig off to Carl to give him some comfort.

Once Harry was finished, he went back upstairs to take care of his dad. Harry started pulling out his medical kit and getting everything that he would need to treat his father. The first thing that he needed to do was fix Rick's injury. Harry took off the bandage and examined the wound. It was healing better than it was before and faster. Now that Harry didn't have to hide his progress, he cleaned the wound then applied more ointment on it. The wound began to shrink and scar over.

Harry gave Rick more potent nutrition potions to help him regain his strength back faster and to fatten him up a bit. Then he gave Rick some blood replenishing potion just in case, and then he sat back and waited for his dad to react. It wouldn't take long for the potions to start working, maybe an hour. After that, Harry would have Rick take a Pepper-Up potion, then make him something to eat, and after that, they would head for Atlanta.
