! Note: I changed the lineups for the exams slightly. The only difference is that Izuku, and Nico are switched. Meaning that Deku and Sue fight ectoplasm, and Nico and Kacchan fight All-Might.

Chapter 19: Afterwards, and the exams.

Nico's POV

After I'd healed Bakugou, recover girl healed my arm. I still had to stay for a while though. They didn't want the other students to crowd me, and the teachers wanted to talk to me. I was in the corner, and Aizawa was one bed over. I sat there for a long time, trying to think of what to say to the man when he woke up. 'sorry' didn't really cut it. I'd tried to kill him for Zeus' sake!

He shifted, and blearily opened his eyes. I tensed, and tried to be as quiet as possible. He didn't look my way, instead he looked down as if making sure he still had all his body parts. Recovery girl came into the room.

"I see you are awake." She said, coming over to him.

"Yeah, but I don't remember much. Can you fill me in?" he asked. she smiled sweetly.

"No, but Nico there behind you can." She said, and walked away to give us some privacy. I tensed again as Aizawa slowly turned towards me. My left arm was still bandaged, and I was sitting up against the wall. I was as far away from everyone as I could get.

"So, what did happen?" he asked, looking intently at me. I swallowed nervously.

"Um, Neito Monoma came up to me during lunch. He started talking smack about me and the Hero Killer. He," I paused, and closed my eyes for a few moments. "He made me really angry. I don't have the best control of my temper right now, as I had blood too recently, and he pushed me over the edge. I, sort of attacked him in my demon form. Bakugou stood, and distracted me; saving his life. I then attacked Bakugou. He managed to blast me to the other side of the room, but I flew back at him. I scratched his arm pretty badly, and was about to kill him when he burned the crap out of my left arm." I looked down at my bandaged appendage.

"Then, Midnight came in. she said some things, and I went at her in my rage. I didn't hurt her too much before you showed up. you distracted me, and I went at you. I uh, pinned you to the ground, and probably would've killed you if Todoroki hadn't yelled at me to quit it. I snapped out of my stupor just enough to shock myself out of it." I stated. I looked up at his face. He had a thoughtful expression.

"Then, I healed Neito, and Katsuki. I brought you here as you only had a minor concussion. Recovery girl sorted my arm, and I've been waiting for you to wake up since." I finished, and looked back down. I would be lucky if I was only expelled. They could easily send me to jail for what I'd done. I didn't feel like being a villain quite yet.

"I see." Is all he said. We sat there in silence for a few minutes, before the door opened. All-Might came in carrying principle Nezu. Great. I was probably going to get expelled now. Well, at least I was still alive.

"Nico," the principle started. I looked at him, my emotions completely blocked off. He must've noticed, because he looked a little frightened. "I'm not going to expel you." He stated. I cut my shock off, not letting anything show.

Don't let them in.
Don't let them see.

"In fact, you're not going to face any kind of serious punishment for your miss hap." Where was he going with this?

Don't let them in.
Don't let them know.

"If, you explain a few things." he told me. ah, there it was. That was the reason. They wanted knowledge. My expressionless face looked deep into his.

"Sure." I stated, in a monotone that rivaled Aizawa's. All-Might flinched.

"Young Nico, we don't mean you any harm." He stated. I looked at him emotionless.

"I know that." I stated, monotone carrying throughout the room. I sounded creepily like a robot.

"Then why did you attack Mr. Monoma?" Nezu asked.

"I was angry. He was the spark that lit the fire." I stated.

"Why were you angry?"

"Because you idiots think you can get away with looking into my personal life. Just because you guys are heroes doesn't mean you have a free pass to do whatever you want, to whoever you want!" I exclaimed, my emotions spiraling out of control. I took a deep breath, and locked them up again.

"I don't like that you were trying to dig up my past. It isn't pretty, and you won't like what you find. If you find anything. I've done my best to erase my past, and I sure won't let all that work go to waste just because you got interested." I stated, eyes cold, and tone dead. Aizawa just stared at me for a moment.

"Well, how about this. You tell us one secret, and we'll leave you alone." Nezu suggested. I looked at him.

"What kind of secret? One that not many people know?" I asked.

"A secret that you don't think we know." Nezu stated. I smirked.

"Alright. Endeavor is a royal asshole to his children. He abuses Shoto in the name of training. That's the reason I travel him to school every morning." I stated. All-Might looked shocked, as did Nezu. Aizawa's eyes widened in what his manner of shock was.

"In truth?" Nezu asked. I glared at the mouse (?) thing.

"No. I have a habit of lying to everyone." I answered. A hint of sarcasm. Well, I mean that was kind of true. They nodded, and accepted it as the truth.

"Well then. We shall approach Endeavor," Nezu started.

"No. Shoto made me promise not to tell anyone about it. I'm the only one who knows about that part of his home life. He would know." I told the teachers.

"Is he taken care of?" Aizawa asked.

"Yeah. I made it so that Endeavor can't get into his room at all. I shadow travel him home after dinner every night. His father can't get to him at all." I stated, confident. Shoto wasn't stupid. He knew not to go out of his room.

"Then we have no reason to approach the subject." My homeroom teacher stated. I sent him a grateful look. Phew.

"Ok. Nico, we would like to inform you that you are not being expelled, we ask that you help with the repair of the cafeteria, but that is the only punishment you will face. Please keep a better hold on your temper in the future." Nezu told me. I looked up at him.

"Thanks. Also, don't try digging deeper. You won't find anything. Trust me." I left he Nurse's office. Dang, I'd been in there for forever! I shadow traveled home to Ms. Yung's house. I made dinner, and set it in the fridge. They could heat it up when they wanted to eat. I shadow traveled to the bar. no one was there. I sighed, and dropped my backpack on the floor. I turned on the overhead TV, and started watching the news.

"-Killer Stain was defeated by UA Student: Nico di Angelo! this has been confirmed! Unfortunately, we haven't been able to get to young Mr. di Angelo for an interview. but it's only a matter of time! The UA exams are tomorrow, and we wish all of the future generation good luck!" the reported said, showing a picture of me standing bloodied, and glaring at Stain as he was divested of his weapons. Who had taken that? It didn't really matter. I sighed, and clicked the TV off. It wasn't helping my nerves. I looked at the whiskey longingly. I really would love a drink, but I had exams tomorrow. A portal opened behind the bar, and Kurogiri stepped out.

"Hi Ky." I said, startling him.

"Nico." He said, once he'd got his equilibrium back. "Please don't startle me like that." He requested.

"Sorry. It's been a pretty terrible day today, and the worst part is that I still have exams tomorrow. Which means I can't even have a drink." I whined, and took a long glance at the bottles on the wall.

"You're right. You shouldn't drink anything tonight." He said. I sighed, and slouched in my seat. The door opened, and Tomura came in.

"Hey Nico." He sat at the bar, and Kurogiri poured him a drink. I sighed, and rested my head on the bar.

"Hey." I said, and just sat there.

"Bad day?" he asked. I scoffed, and sat up.

"That's the understatement of the century." I announced, and sighed. "I went into my demon form in the cafeteria." I told them. Tomura smiled.

"I bet that went over well." He said, a sadistic smile on his face. I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah. I almost killed a class 1-B student, Katsuki, and two of my teachers. It went over really well." I scoffed. I itched the light cast my arm was in. Tomura looked.

"What's wrong with your arm?" he asked.

"Katsuki burned me to get me off of him. good thing he did too. Otherwise, I'd have his death on my conscience too." Images of all the people I'd killed flashed through my mind. I really didn't need that right now. I shook my head a few times to clear it.

"Are you staying the night, or just saying hi?" Ky asked.

"Whichever you prefer. I'm not too interested in going back home at the moment. I don't need the stress of my siblings along with everything else." I stated. Tomura and Kurogiri still didn't know that I was an orphaned only child. Or that I wasn't even from this reality. No one knew that.

"Feel free to stay the night if you'd like. I'm sure Tomura doesn't mind you in his bed." Kurogiri said, and winked at me. I rolled my eyes as Shigaraki went beet red.

"Kurogiri!" he said, and downed the rest of his drink. I snickered, and smirked at him.

"What? Is he lying?" I asked, faking an innocent façade. Tomura sputtered for a moment, before we spared him by laughing. Once we finished laughing at poor Tomura, he was glaring so hard, I was surprised there wasn't a hole in the counter top.

"Sorry, you're just so funny when you're flustered." I told him. I stood up, and stretched. "I have some studying to do. I have the exam tomorrow." I told them. I went upstairs, and sat on Shigaraki's bed. I summoned my laptop from the shadows, and got to work memorizing the hero code, and all the different rules and regulations for being a hero.

I opened my eyes, and saw the top of Tomura's head. He was once again spooning with me. I smiled, and carefully extracted myself. I took the cast off, glad to see that my arm was completely healed. After my morning exorcizes, I took a shower, and dressed in my uniform. At 7:30, I woke Shigaraki up.

"Morning!" I said in his ear, and pushed his shoulder. He opened his eyes, and turned them on me.

"Hi," he stated, and put his head back on the pillow. I rolled my eyes, and left his room. I had to be at school at 8. I went downstairs, and sat at the counter.

"Morning Nico," Kurogiri said, as I sat. I looked up at him.

"Good morning Ky. How are you today?" I asked.

"I'm doing alright. I hope you slept well last night."

"I did actually. I'm going to need it." I muttered. I looked longingly at the alcohol behind him. just one wouldn't hurt, right?

"Nico," he reprimanded, seeing my gaze. I smiled impishly.

"Sorry." I told him, and stood. I grabbed my bag. "Well, I'd better get going. I may or may not come back!" I left via the front door. I went to School, and shadow traveled Shoto in. He sent me a slightly nervous look. I grinned at him, and gave him a huge thumbs up. he gave me a half smirk in return, and turned his attention onto Aizawa who had just walked in.

He handed out our written exams, and left the room.

Hours later, the written portion was finally over. Aizawa walked back in, and collected our papers.

"Now, for the practical part of your exams. Put your hero outfits on, and follow me." He led us out of the room, and onto a bus. We spent the ride in almost complete silence, people only talking to ask their neighbor how they thought they did. We arrived, and got out of the bus. All the teachers from the school were standing there.

"Some of you think that you will be facing robots. This is not the case. We have decided that because your class has been through so much, that your end of term practical should take that into account. We believe that you can do better than just robots. Today, you will be fighting your teachers." Nezu told us. There were a couple of sharp intakes of breath.

"To pass, you must either cuff your teacher, or one of you has to make it out before the time limit of thirty minutes is up. understood?" Aizawa stated. We all nodded.

"Good. The pairings go like this:

Aizawa will face Shoto, and Momo.

Cementoss will face Rikido, and Eijiro.

Ectoplasm will face Izuku, and Sue.

Present Mic will face Koji, and Kyoka.

Power Loader will face Tenya, and Mashirao.

Snipe will face Mezo and Toru.

Midnight will face Hanta, and Minoru.

Thirteen will face Yuga, and Ochaco.

I will face Mina, and Denki.

And All-Might will face Nico, and Katsuki." Nezu announced.

Many of us blinked. Wow. They really put me with Katsuki. Even after I literally tried to kill the dude. Bakugou glared at Nezu. If looks could kill, the principle would be 6 feet under.

"Go get ready, the first team will have 15 minutes to plan!" Nezu announced, clapping his tiny paws. I rolled my eyes, and searched the crowd for my new partner. Katsuki was fuming. He looked like he was going to explode Nezu. I rolled my eyes, and sent him a pointed look. He glared at me, and walked off. Guess he didn't want to plan then. Oh well. I went with the rest of the group, and watched them via the computer screens in recovery girl's office.

Shoto and Momo were first. I watched at Shoto came up with a plan, and then Momo followed it, even though it looked like she had a plan of her own. His plan worked for about 2 minutes, before it failed. Miserably. Then, Momo shared her plan, and they did pretty well. They both passed.

Next was Rikido, and Eijiro. They tried using brute strength against Cementoss' concrete. Needless to say, they failed miserably.

Izuku, and Sue were up next. Ectoplasm sent out lots of clones, and Izuku smashed a few of them before realizing that he wasn't doing anything. He grabbed Sue, and swung her up. she pulled him after her. somehow, ectoplasm managed to make a ginormous copy of himself. He sent this into the middle, preventing them from going anywhere. Sue brought the handcuffs out of her stomach, and Izuku used his advanced speed to get them on Ectoplasm. They gave each other a high five, and walked out of the arena. They did good.

Koji, and Kyoka won by using Koji's ani-voice, and covering present mic in bugs. I kind of felt bad for the dude. Tenya and Mashirao won as well. They did well.

Next, was Mezo and Toru. I was honestly surprised that snipe didn't notice the fact that handcuffs were literally floating next to him. but I guess they were going a little easy on us since we weren't pros yet.

Mineta and Sero were more interested in Midnight's outfit, then they were in winning. Sero got blasted with her quirk early, and was out on her lap. From the look of rage on Mineta's face, he wished that was him. the little pervert did pull through though, and he passed.

Yuga and Ochaco didn't do so well in the beginning, getting stuck holding onto a ledge, while trying not to get sucked into 13's nothingness. Then, Uraraka let go, forcing 13 to either close her stores, or kill the student. She used this to her advantage, and managed to pass.

Then, it was my turn. Oh joy.

The people dropped Katsuki and I on one end of a city scape. Hmm.

"What's the plan?" I asked Bakugou. He looked at me.

"Fight. I can take him while you run." He said, and made a small explosion on his hands. I sighed, and almost slapped him.

"Bakugou, you can't fight him. he's the number one hero for a reason. He could take you out with one punch. Hell! He could probably take out this whole city with one punch! You can't fight him alone." I told the explosive teen. He growled, and turned on me.

"You shut up! Stupid goth!" he yelled. I glared at him. just then, a huge whirlwind came towards us. I erected a shadow shield, and ran in front of Katsuki. The shadows took the impact, and left us mostly unscathed. Once the wind passed, I dropped the shield.

"What the hell was that?!" Katsuki demanded. A laugh came from the recently destroyed part of the city. All-Might walked out of the carnage.

"That was me! I am villain! I don't care about property damage!" he announced. I rolled my eyes as Katsuki charged the pro. All-Might grabbed Bakugou's head, keeping him from moving. Katsuki set off explosions, but they did nothing. I sighed, and made a chair.

"Take your time. It's not like we have a time limit or anything. Please, waste all of our time fighting the number one hero." I said, casually. All-Might looked at me. I locked eyes with him.

"What?" I asked, and summoned a lemonade. I sat there for a moment, just leisurely sipping my drink, before All-Might let go of Katsuki. Bakugou, went to run at him again, and I took pity on the explosive teen. I shadow traveled him to next to me, with his own chair.

"Bakugou. Running at him isn't going to work." I stated, looking him in the eye. All-Might ran at us. His speed was faster than mine, but I had ways to make up for that. I shadow traveled Katsuki and I out of the path. All-Might stopped himself and turned to us. I sighed, and stood. My chair disappeared behind me.

"Well, guess nap time is over then."
