Chapter 18
"Stop looking at my paper Lucas." Skye said shooting Lucas a glare. "Children please stay focus." The kids tutor said sternly.
The kids were in the libary doing school though none of them were paying attention. Liana was staring at Derick, Flynn was secretly reading a Flynnagian Rider book. Skye was day dreaming about ballet, and Lucas was making music with his pencil.
Finally the timer rang the tutor collected her things and left, each kid ran off to their own thing. Liana walked over to Derick.
"Well I think you have new time record for staring at me." Derick laughed leaning on some books. "Yeah well it's hard not to when make those stupid faces. Liana said rolling her eyes.
"So when do you start training again?" Derick asked handing her a book to put away. "Next week." Liana said smiling. "So now I'll have to stare at you." Derick said smirking. "Yeah I guess so." Liana giggled.
Derick looked up and smiled at her. He couldn't help but smile when he looked at her now. They were both sixteen now and really changed from when they were eleven.
Liana spent the rest of her day in the libary. "It's five thirty, my moms gonna come get me soon." Liana said sketching in her journal she was lying in Dericks lap.
"I wish you didn't have to go." Derick said looking down at her. "I'll be back tomorrow." Liana laughed sitting up. "Yeah but it's boring in here without you." Derick sighed.
Liana smiled. "I miss you too." She said looking at him. He looked up at her and smiled. Suddenly he saw her leaning into kiss him and he felt himself moving closer as well.
Their lips almost touched but Rapuznel opened the door and caused them both to quickly jump back. "Liana it's time for dinner." Rapuznel said holding the door open.
Liana got up and started walking away. "Bye Derick." She said smiling. "Bye Li." Derick said smiling as he watched her leave. When the door closed Derick groaned and punched pillow.
That night Liana couldn't sleep all she could think was about what had almost happened earlier. Derick also couldn't sleep he laid in his bed only able to think about Liana.
"Liana you can't go to the libary you said you would help me with math." Skye groaned.
"I did?" Liana asked. "Yeah yesterday when tutoring ended I said Liana will you help me with math tomorrow and you said yeah and waved your hand." Skye said making a shooing motion with her hand.
"Ok I'll help you." Liana groaned walking away with Skye. After a couple hours they finally finished and Liana started to head to the libary.
"Liana!" Flynn yelled running up to her. "Yeah Flynn." Liana said turning around. "Dad wanted me to ask you where you put the swords." Flynn said looking up at Liana. "There in the shed behind the wood cutouts." Liana said starting to walk away. "Thanks!" Flynn yelled running away.
Liana finally made it to the libary. "Hey sorry my siblings were- are you ok." Liana said seeing standing in front of her looking down.
"I need to tell you something." Derick said looking up at her. "Oh ok." Liana said quietly.
"I love you. I've loved you since you knocked me out with a book. I loved you when we had that paint fight. I loved you when you kissed my cheek for the first time, and I know that I'm just some guy that works in a castle but I can't keep ignoring these feelings." Derick said holding Lianas hands.
"I want to be with you for as long as I can." Derick said looking into her eyes. Liana stood there quiet in shock. "I-I love you too." She said smiling at him her eyes filled with joy.
"You do!" Derick said excited. "Yeah." Liana laughed a couple tears staring to fall down her cheek. "So do you want to go organize some books or something." Derick smirked.
Liana rolled her eyes. "Just kiss me already." She said pulling him in. Their lips touched and for five seconds nothing else mattered. The kiss broke and they looked at each other and smiled.
