Chapter 19: Pandatown
Alice's Journal Entry
Dear Diary,
I must admit my life as the Xiaolin Dragon Warrior of Ice is awesome!
But what I am most happy about is having made new friends here; Omi, Kimiko, Raimundo and Clay.
However beside finding Shen Gong Wu and kicking evil butt together, we seem to be getting closer every moment.
When winter arrived, my friends went to find the Crystal Glasses in Russia and met a guy named Vlad.
Vlad joined my companions after helping them retrieve the Shen Gong Wu, however, it turned out Vlad was actually working for that evil wanna be; Jack Spicer and tricked Omi in believing he would bring darkness and destruction to the world in the future!
I am so going to punch him hard in the gut for that!
I got a bad fever and had to stay in bed during that event, so I sort of missed a few stuff.
The best part of being sick was didn't have to do chores and got to listen to some rock and roll music on my headphones and read a few of my favourite books.
Anyway, I all better now and ready for action!
In the Forest near the Xiaolin Temple...
Raimundo was walking through a gorge.
Suddenly rocks started dropping below the gorge where the Dragon of Wind was.
"Whoa!"Raimundo shouted. "Clay! Anytime, cowboy!"
Clay was above the gorge and stood next to a big rock.
"Seismic Kick, EARTH!"Clay shouted.
Clay does a kick causing a part of the ground to lift Raimundo high up and send him flying.
Omi, Kimiko and Alice were next to Master Fung while watching.
"Go, Clay!"Kimiko encouraged.
"That was awesome!"Alice chuckled.
"Most impressive."Omi agreed.
Clay walked up to his companions.
"You show an excellent mastering of your Xiaolin element."Master Fung stated. "It appears your promotion to apprentice was well deserved."
"Thank you, kindly."Clay remarked.
Raimundo flew forward and went next to Clay.
"Sure you couldn't cut it any closer?"Raimundo questioned.
"Raimundo."Master Fung said. "It is time to test your wind element."
Raimundo walked forward and did a few stretches only for him to stop when he notice Master Fung raising an eyebrow at him.
"The test is to float a teammate safely onto the cool stone in the middle of the hot coal pit."
Master Fung and the monks went next to the coal pit area.
"No problem."Raimundo assured. "Who's ready to fly?"
Clay, Omi and Alice backed away while Kimiko stood where she was.
"We mean you no disrespect, Raimundo."Omi responded. "But your still the only non apprentice in our Xiaolin Team."
Omi smiled while Alice rolled her eyes at him.
"Flew me up, Rai."Kimiko insisted.
"Okay, Kimiko."Raimundo said as he bend down.
Kimiko picked up the Shroud of Shadows and went next to the coal pit.
"Shroud of Shadows!"Kimiko chanted.
The Shroud of Shadows made Kimiko become invisible.
Raimundo breathed carefully and created a small tornado to lift up Kimiko.
The Dragon of Wind lifted his crush into the air towards the lava pit.
Kimiko removed the Shroud of Shadows around her, revealing she landed safely in the cool stone.
"Judolette Flip, FIRE!"Kimiko shouted.
Kimiko made the flames on the coal pit ease down causing her to leapt up and land where her companions were.
"A first good try, Raimundo."Master Fung stated and walked away. "It seems that mastering your element seem to be improving."
"Looks like your improving, Pedrosa."Alice complemented.
"Improving? I totally aced this test."Raimundo answered proudly.
"That's weird."Kimiko said while checking on her PDA. "Check out this police report from Hong Kong. It's a group of thieves using usual powers."
Raimundo, Alice, Omi and Clay went to check on the video on Kimiko's PDA.
The video showed a group of thieves robbing a shop while holding the Serpent's Tail and the Fist of Tebigong.
"Those are Shen Gong Wu!"Omi responded. "Serpent's Tail and the Fist of Tebigong!"
"And they're all supposed to be held up at Jack's corral."Clay added.
"Why the heck would Jack and Wuya start acting like common criminals instead of wanna be world conquerors?"Alice questioned.
Afterwards...
Dojo and the five monks arrived to Hong Kong.
Kimiko wore a sleeveless yellow jump suit with black gloves. Her black hair was tied in a ponytail with a yellow hairband and wore black shoes underneath.
Alice had her pink hair pulled back into a high ponytail. The bangs were straight and the partially curled forelocks were nearly navel length. The Dragon of Ice wore a pale crop top with long loose sleeved, black trousers with a red belt and blue beige platforms with red fabric on them.
"You guys better stay close."Dojo warned. "This is the part of Hong Kong that Dashi never lets me play in."
Clay, Omi, Alice, Kimiko and Raimundo climbed off Dojo's back as the green dragon shrunk down to his miniature size.
"I lead the way."Raimundo suggested before leaning close to Kimiko. "This place is like the bad side of Rio. It's my element."
"Uh, no offense Rai, but we've seen what you do with your element."Clay replied.
Dojo laughed a little causing Raimundo to frown which made Alice a bit worried.
"The apprentices will take charge."Omi remarked. "First, we must search carefully for anything suspicious."
Then a crush was heard.
"Stop, thief!"A woman's voice demanded.
A man wearing a panda mask jumped in front of the group before going through a wall and disappearing.
"Looks like suspicious found us."Clay stated.
"Who was that guy?"Kimiko asked.
"He had the Serpent's Tail!"Omi admitted. "After him!"
The five monks began to chase after the man.
Omi, Alice, Kimiko, Raimundo and Clay jumped above the roof of a house and spotted the man disappearing using the Serpent's Tail.
"This fella's slipperier than a greased pig in a sausage factory."Clay complemented.
"We must box him in!"Omi stated. "Split apart!"
Clay, Omi, Kimiko and Alice went their separate ways while Raimundo took out the Falcon's Eye.
"Falcon's Eye!"Raimundo chanted.
Raimundo spotted the man moving past inside a house holding the Serpent's Tail.
The Dragon of Wind leapt down and landed in front of the man.
"Gotcha!"Raimundo said.
However the man went through Raimundo and escaped.
Clay, Omi, Alice and Kimiko went up to Raimundo.
"What happened?"Dojo asked.
"I had him!"Raimundo stated. "But he slipped right through my fingers and I think my pancreas!"
"Ah yes, common non apprentice mistakes."Omi said with a smile and patted Raimundo's leg. "I would have grabbed the Serpent's Tail. But I suppose that is something we learn at apprentice level. You did your best."
Raimundo glared at Omi as his face changed in a variety of colours.
"I still don't get it."Kimiko responded. "Why would Jack and Wuya hire a new henchman just to steal ordinary valuables?"
"That man was a servant of Pandabubba."An old man stated.
"What is a Pandabubba?"Omi asked in confusion.
Alice checked information on her phone.
"The richest and most dangerous crime boss around Hong Kong."Alice answered. "Also infamous for his power-hungry and ruthless nature as well as his success rates within the underworld."
"Oh."Omi said simply. "That is bad."
A While Later...
The monks head over to PandaBubba's mansion.
"I'll take the 12 guards on the North."Omi replied. "Clay, the 10 on the East. Kimiko, the 11 on the West. Alice, the 13 on the South. And do you think Raimundo will handle the one in the entrance? He looks very out of shape."
Raimundo opened his mouth to speak, but then Jack showed up holding the Monkey Staff and Wuya right next to him.
"Who called in the loser patrol?"Jack asked.
Clay, Omi, Kimiko, Alice and Raimundo stood in their fighting positions.
"Jack Spicer!"Omi snapped. "I do not know why you have chosen to work with Pandabubba, but-"
"I'm here for the same reason you are."Jack answered. "To get back what Pandabubba stole from me."
"Huh."Kimiko scoffed. "Stole?"
Jack placed the Monkey Staff next to a tree.
"Yeah."Jack agreed. "But I found a secret pass into that mansion, where they're holding all the Wu. A tough fight for me, but with the right help-"
"Jack!"Wuya growled. "You could not possibly suggesting a team up?"
"Help me in and we'll split my X-Shen Gong Wu 50-50."Jack insisted.
"Forget it, Jack."Kimiko responded. "We can bust this place open ourselves."
"Your nuts to think we would ever help you."Alice stated bitterly.
"You wanna take a Falcon's Eye look inside and tell me if your so sure?"Jack questioned.
Omi took the Falcon's Eye from Raimundo's pocket and used it.
"Falcon's Eye!"Omi chanted.
The Falcon's Eye activated and Omi saw lots of Pandabubba's henchmen using Shen Gong Wu.
"Jack is right!"Omi stated. "And out of Shen Gong Wu!"
"Jack tells you that he has a secret pass inside and you're just gonna believe him?"Raimundo questioned.
"Tell you what as a show of good faith, I'll even give you my last Shen Gong Wu."Jack commented.
"What?!"Wuya demanded angrily. "Jack don't be a fool! I forbid it!"
Jack walked through Wuya causing him to shutter.
"It's the only way to earn their trust."Jack responded.
Jack handed the Monkey Staff to Omi.
"Come on, Omi!"Raimundo complained. "It's a classic con-game!"
"Okay, I hear your concerns and I will take them under advisement with the apprentices."Omi said and looked at his other friends. "Clay? Kimiko? Alice?"
"I reckon we got no better choice."Clay said.
"Let's give it a shot."Kimiko suggested.
Alice sighed. "Fine."
"WHAT?!"Raimundo said in shock. "Your going to trust Jack Spicer over me?! That's it! I'm finding my own way in and anyone who wants can come with me!"
Clay, Alice, Omi and Kimiko didn't reply to Raimundo.
"Sorry, pal."Dojo apologised. "Gotta go with the crowd on this one."
Raimundo growled in anger before jumping down and started beating up the guard that was guarding the entrance.
"Raimundo!"Omi shouted.
"Calm down, Pedrosa!"Alice demanded.
"Easy, buddy!"Clay protested.
"Come on, Rai!"Kimiko reminded.
"Don't take it so personal."Dojo requested.
The monks and Dojo went down to confront Raimundo.
Wuya glared at Jack.
"I hope you are sure about this plan."Wuya retorted.
"Totally."Jack assured confidently. "Once PandaBubba gets their Shen Gong Wu, we just double cross him and it's all ours."
"And how exactly we do that?"Wuya questioned.
"It's a plan in process."Jack answered. "I'm a big picture guy. Not a detail guy."
Jack lead Clay, Alice, Omi and Kimiko to a secret entrance that lead them inside PandaBubba's mansion.
"The entrance is right here."Jack said.
The group went inside the entrance, but the area was pitch black.
"It is very dark in here."Omi stated.
Dojo peeked out from Clay's hat.
"A little too dark."Dojo agreed nervously.
"Anybody smell a setup?"Clay questioned.
Alice prepared to take out the Komori Sword just as the room became dark.
"Give me that!"
"Hands off!"
"That's my Shen Gong Wu!"
Jack took the Shen Gong Wu from Omi, Clay and Kimiko except Alice's.
"Star Hanabi!"PandaBubba shouted.
PandaBubba used the Star Hanabi to light up the room revealing himself and his henchmen.
Jack and Wuya stood next to PandaBubba.
Three henchmen lied on the floor since Alice successfully knocked them out, thanks to the Komori Sword's ability of fighting well in the dark.
"It's a trap!"Omi said in heartbreak.
Three of PandaBubba's henchmen went up to Clay, Alice, Omi and Kimiko.
"Fist of Tebigong!"the first henchman chanted.
The first henchman tried to attack Omi with the First of Tebigong, but the Dragon of Water leapt up.
"Tsunami Strike, WATER!"Omi yelled out.
Omi sent water towards the first henchman which made the small boy hit his back with the Fist of Tebigong.
"Lotus Twister!"the second henchman shouted.
The second henchman holding the Lotus Twister to make his limbs to extend.
"Freeze Powder, ICE!"Alice chanted.
Alice freezes the henchman's arms causing him to drop on the floor.
"Serpent's Tail!"the third henchman chanted and pushed Clay against a wall. "Serpent's Tail!"
The third henchman send Clay hitting the floor.
Kimiko rushed forward to held Clay.
"Judolette Flip, FIRE!"Kimiko shouted.
Kimiko landed and did the splits causing the third henchman to hit against the wall.
"I got your back."Kimiko assured.
Clay smiled at Kimiko.
"Enough!"PandaBubba scowled and took out the Tangle Web Comb. "Tangle Web Comb!"
PandaBubba captures Clay, Omi, Alice and Kimiko with the Tangle Web Comb.
"Jumping Jupiter!"Dojo panicked. "We gotta warn Master Fung!"
A pair of hands grabbed Dojo in the darkness, revealing to be Raimundo.
"Shh..."Raimundo hushed.
"We did it!"Jack cheered. "We got them!"
"We?"PandaBubba asked. "There is no we."
"What?!"Jack said in disbelief. "We had a deal!"
PandaBubba tied Jack using the Tangle Web Comb before looking at his henchmen.
"You, break into the Xiaolin Temple and bring me the rest of the Shen Gong Wu."PandaBubba ordered.
The henchmen nodded and walked away while Raimundo and Dojo spied at them from inside the vent before leaving.
Afterwards...
Raimundo and Dojo race back to the temple and explain to Master Fung about what happened.
"Raimundo, where are the others?"Master Fung asked.
"They've been kidnapped by PandaBubba!"Raimundo replied. "His goons are on their way here to steal our Shen Gong Wu!"
"I will alert the monks."Master Fung stated as he stood up.
"No!"Raimundo answered. "I have a plan!"
"Raimundo, this is very sudden and you are the-"Master Fung started.
"I know! I am only not apprentice!"Raimundo interrupted. "But you brought me here because you knew I could become the Dragon of Wind! If I ever going to learn to be who I could be people have to trust me!"
"I was going to say your the one who knows the full situation and I trust your judgement."Master Fung admitted.
Raimundo smiled. "No way."
PandaBubba's henchmen come to the Xiaolin Temple to take all Shen Gong Wu (one of them used the Longi Kite and carried the other).
Raimundo waited for them in the vault.
"If you want the Shen Gong Wu, you have to go through me!"Raimundo challenged.
The two henchmen looked at each other.
"We're good with that."the first henchman said. "Lotus Twister!"
The first henchman's limbs extended causing Raimundo to leapt up.
"Fist of Tebigong!"the second henchman chanted.
Raimundo send the second henchman holding the Fist of Tebigong out of the vault and send him against a pillar.
The first henchman grabbed Raimundo by the shoulder and the Dragon of Wind threw him on the floor.
"Come on, guys!"Raimundo challenged. "Your making this too easy for me!"
"Ring of Nine Dragons!"the third henchman chanted.
The third bad guy uses the Ring of the Nine Dragons to catch Raimundo.
"Hey!"Raimundo complained. "No fair!"
"Let's get these back to the boss."the first henchman said.
"Let go of me!"Raimundo demanded angrily. "Help!"
Afterwards...
Raimundo was brought to the old factory in Hong Kong where PandaBubba was.
"Put him with the others."PandaBubba ordered.
The two henchman took Raimundo away.
"You'll never get away with this!"Raimundo shouted.
"I already have."PandaBubba answered. "Soon I will rule the Hong Kong criminal underworld."
"All you want is Hong Kong?!"Jack complained. "Can I at least get double crossed by somebody with some vision?!"
The henchman placed Raimundo in the room, where Omi, Kimiko, Alice and Clay were.
"Hey, you alright, Rai?"Clay asked.
"Yeah."Raimundo answered. "I'm cool."
"Sorry about the whole 'not trusting you about Jack' thing."Kimiko apologised.
"We should have listened to you in the first place."Alice commented.
"Yes."Omi agreed. "We were captured most shamefully while you tried you best to defend the Xiaolin Temple and failed."
Kimiko and Alice glared at Omi.
"But at least you tried your best!"Omi remarked. "And failed."
"I don't know about that."Raimundo stated with a smug smile.
Dojo appeared on Raimundo's shoulder while holding a pair of scissors.
"Is it time for my big entrance?"Dojo asked.
"Dojo!"Omi, Kimiko and Alice sad in unison.
"No way!"Clay chuckled.
Dojo cuts the ropes from the Tangle Web Comb around the monks with the scissors.
"You really thought those goons could take me?"Raimundo questioned with a smile. "I knew I had to rescue your sorry butts, so I let myself get caught. Along with the Shroud Backpack full of Shen Gong Wu."
A Shroud of Shadows-covered backpack containing all the other Shen Gong Wu.
"Nice one!"Clay remarked and took the Two-Ton Tunic.
"Smart move, Rai!"Kimiko laughed and took the Third Arm Sash.
"Bel lavoro."Alice chuckled and took the Shard of Lightening.
"Amazing!"Omi replied and took the Orb of Tornami.
"Two-Ton Tunic!"Clay chanted.
"Eye of Dashi!"Raimundo chanted.
"Third Arm Sash!"Kimiko chanted.
"Shard of Lightening!"Alice chanted.
"Orb of Tornami!"Omi chanted.
The five monks break down the room with their Shen Gong Wu.
"Get them!"PandaBubba ordered.
Jack spat the apple from his mouth and looked at his watch.
"Jack-Bots, attack!"Jack ordered.
A bunch of Jack-Bots barged into the factory.
"Third Arm Sash!"Kimiko chanted.
"Fist of Tebigong-"PandaBubba started.
The Third Arm Sash grabbed the Fist of Tebigong while PandaBubba struggled to release himself.
Omi kicked a henchman away.
"Star Hanabi!"A henchman chanted.
One of PandaBubba's henchmen used the Star Hanabi and hits the Yes-Bot.
"NO!"Jack cried in shock. "It's gonna blow!"
BANG!
The five monks and the villians escape just as the Yes-Bot exploded causing the place to blow up.
The Shen Gong Wu were thrown around the area.
"Looks like it's a free for all!"Raimundo admitted.
A free-for-all fight for the Shen Gong Wu began.
Omi grabbed the Orb of Tornami from a broken box.
"Orb of Tornami!"Omi chanted.
Omi used the Orb of Tornami to crush a Jack-Bot from getting the Star Hanabi.
"Tangle Web Comb!"the first henchman chanted.
The first henchman tried to grab the Jetbootsu using the Tangle Web Comb, only for Clay to drop the Two-Ton Tunic on him.
Alice notice a henchmen trying to grab the Rose Chaplet causing her to take out the Shard of Lightening.
"Shard of Lightening!"Alice chanted.
Time moved slowly around Alice.
The Dragon of Ice quickly jumped forward to take the Rose Chaplet and throw the henchman into the river before time ran out.
A henchman reached out to grab the Lotus Twister.
"Third Arm Sash!"Kimiko chanted.
The Third Arm Sash pulled the henchman's pants causing him to let out a frightened shriek.
Raimundo and Jack grab the Longi Kite at the same time.
"Jack, I challenge you to a-"Raimundo started.
Raimundo and Jack notice PandaBubba has touched the Longi Kite using the Third Arm Sash.
"A Showdown Trio."PandaBubba finished. "This was on your cheat cheat two."
Clay, Alice, Omi and Kimiko went next to Raimundo while the henchmen stood next to PandaBubba.
"Fine."Jack said. "How about my Tangle Web Comb for Raimundo's Eye of Dashi and PandaBubba's Fist of Tebigong?"
"I'm cool with that."Raimundo answered. "Winner takes the Longi Kite, what's the showdown?"
"The last boat afloat wins the showdown."PandaBubba responded and gestured to the river.
"Let's go!"Raimundo, Jack and PandaBubba shouted. "Xiaolin Showdown!"
When the showdown started, the other monks and PandaBubba's henchmen were high above the competitors, who were all standing on a log.
Three boats float down, which the competitors each get on.
"Gong Yi Tan Pai!"Raimundo, Jack and PandaBubba yelled out in unison.
The three challengers swerve in and out the different passageways, trying to find the end.
Raimundo arrived to a dead end.
"Dead end?!"Raimundo scowled.
The Dragon of Wind notice PandaBubba rushing towards him with the Fist of Tebigong causing him to move out the way.
PandaBubba ended up crushing his fist against the wooden wall.
Raimundo floated to the other side and came face to face with Jack.
"Eye of Dashi!"Raimundo chanted.
Raimundo tried to hit Jack with his Eye of Dashi, but misses.
"Playing ruff, huh? I can too."Jack admitted and took out the Tangle Web Comb. "Tangle Web Comb!"
Jack used his Tangle Web Comb to tear off a piece of Raimundo's boat and PandaBubba destroys the wind dragon's boat as well with his Fist of Tebigong.
"Whoa!"Raimundo said in shock.
Raimundo began to sink slowly into the river by a whirlpool.
"Whirlpool!"Clay warned.
Kimiko nervously held Alice's arm.
"Come on, boss!"A henchman encouraged.
"Faster, Jack!"Wuya ordered.
Jack and PandaBubba were neck and neck as Raimundo started sinking into a whirlpool.
"Typhoon Boom!"Raimundo yelled out.
Raimundo used his elemental move to escape the whirlpool, showing mastery over his element.
"Did you see that?!"Omi asked in amazement. "Raimundo's wind finally broken through!"
"Looks like his too late."Dojo said nervously.
"Come on, Rai."Kimiko begged while clenching Alice's arm. "You can still win!"
"Ow!"Alice groaned. "Kimiko, your hurting my arm!"
"Just think what Omi would do!"Omi called out.
Alice used her free arm to smack Omi by the head to shut him up.
"Eye of Dashi, WIND!"Raimundo chanted.
Raimundo used the Eye of Dashi with his element to create a big tidal wave for him to ride on.
"Surfs up!"Raimundo chuckled.
Raimundo rides to the finish line and swamped Jack and PandaBubba with, winning the showdown for him.
Omi, Alice, Kimiko and Clay cheered at Raimundo.
"Ooh!"Dojo laughed. "That was hot to watch!"
Everything went back to normal and Raimundo was approached by his fellow monks.
"Alright, buddy!"Clay chuckled.
"Great surfing, Rai!"Kimiko remarked.
"That was incredible!"Dojo stated.
"Awesome strategy!"Alice laughed while rubbing her arm.
"As a Xiaolin Apprentice...I couldn't have done better myself."Omi admitted proudly.
"Better?"Raimundo asked. "I could teach you about surfing, little man."
The five monks walked away as police officers showed up to arrest PandaBubba and his henchman.
Back at the Xiaolin Temple...
Raimundo was finally promoted to the rank of Apprentice.
"Congratulations to our newest, Xiaolin Apprentice."Master Fung stated with a smile.
Raimundo took the sash from Master Fung before walking up to his fellow monks, who congratulated him.
"No, biggie."Raimundo assured.
"Now with all 5 Xiaolin Apprentices, you are prepared to preform the next level of Signature Moves."Master Fung admitted. "The Dragon X Kumei Formation."
"DRAGON X KUMEI!"Omi yelled out. "WATER!"
"EARTH!"Clay shouted.
"ICE!"Alice yelled out.
"FIRE!"Kimiko shouted.
"WIND!"Raimundo yelled out.
Kimiko was being supported into the air by Omi while Alice held up Omi with her hands.
Clay stood on the left while Raimundo stood on the right.
The five monks have learned the Dragon X-Kumei Formation.
"Beautiful!"Dojo sobbed and dried away the tears in his eyes. "I never thought I would see this day!"
Raimundo walked up to Master Fung.
"Master Fung, thank you for trusting me."Raimundo remarked.
"You deserved it."Master Fung answered.
"Now as long as we're talking promotion, let's talk perks."Raimundo admitted with a smirk.
Master Fung and Dojo sighed in disproval before walking away causing Alice to cover her mouth while laughing lightly.
"First the robes got to go."Raimundo continued. "Hey, Rai needs some bling and a real bed. One with a mattress. Firm but not to firm. You know what I'm saying? Just real comfortable!"
