San Fierro City, Middle School
It´s a calm moday morning. Finn and Rei were sitting in class while Morgan was waiting on the school´s rooftop. She thought it is better to stay close to each other now that Sonya and maybe other people of the Fusion World are here.
("I don´t know if we can stop the Invasion from happening. Now that people from Fusion are already here, it is only a matter of time until they will attack. We can´t wait much longer. We need to warn the people of this world... today !") Morgan thought as she watched the people of San Fierro City walking around the city happily. She then sighed slightly before looking at her bracelet. "I wonder how things by Lynn are going ? I hope she is okay. And the same goes for Brody..." Morgan looked up into the sky. "Wherever he is right now."
In the Synchro World
New Domino City, main city of the Synchro World and the home of Lynn and Ryan. It´s a large, modern city surrounded by water and has lots of highways going all around and through the city.
On the far east side of the city was a giant black building surrounded by fences and with only one main gate. Standing all around the building were people wearing military clothes. It were guards. In the inside, lots of cells were all around on different levels. Around the cells were walkways and several bridges connected those walkways. Walking around on each level were also some guards.
Standing in one of the cells and gripping the bars of the small window which was on the door, was Brody. "I can´t believe that we are stuck in here since over a week now."
"Stop comlaining and get used to it. As it looks like right now, we won´t be getting out of here any time soon." Ryan replied. He was sat on the bed which was in the cell and played with the cards of his deck.
Brody looked back at him, annoyed. "Do I have to remind you that it is your fault that we are stuck in here ?!"
"Well, as I said earlier, that are the rules of my home." Ryan said.
"And here we have the point. You exactly know the laws of your world and the consequences when you break them, but you still broke them." Brody snapped.
"If I hadn´t broke them then we would be in much more trouble now !" Ryan snapped back. His mind then went to recall the events.
Synchro World, one week earlier
It was night in New Domino City as on a highway, a bright light flashed. As it vanished, Brody and Ryan appeared. "Way to go. We crossed worlds ?!" Brody said shocked.
"Seems like it." Ryan replied as he looked around. "This is my home. The Synchro World."
"Just great. I need to get back ! My world is being attacked ! There has to be a way to go back !" Brody said before looking up at Ryan. "Tell me again, how did you came to my world ?"
"It was thanks to my dragon, Clear Wing. When I was searching for Lynn, Clear Wing glowed at one time and then I found myself in your world. I think he could feel my wish to find Lynn. But I don´t know if I can control that and do it again." Ryan said.
"My new dragon was probably the one who brought us here, somehow. But I can´t control it either which means that I´m stuck here." Brody said, sounding disappointed.
"Looks like it. Sorry about that." Ryan said while rubbing his head. He really felt bad for Brody since his home is right now attacked. "But I´m sure Morgan and the others will be fine. They can take care of themselves."
Brody didn´t answer that and just looked around. "So this is your and Lynn´s world. It looks nice."
Ryan gave a small smile. "Yes, it´s a nice place. But it wasn´t always like that."
Before Brody could ask more, they both suddenly heared sirens and a voice through a loud speaker. "Driver of unregistered D-Wheel. You are right now in a restricted area. This is a warning. Turn of your D-Wheel and stand ready for cooperation !"
Ryan groaned. "Great. Just what we need now." He went over to his D-Wheel who was a few feet away. He got on and put his silver helmet on. "Brody, get on ! We have to go or we will be in serious trouble !"
"Why that ? We didn´t do anything ?!" Brody said as the sound of the sirens got closer.
"I´ll explain on the way ! Now hurry and get on !" Ryan shouted back. He oppened the storage part under the seat of the D-Wheel and pulled out Lynn´s white helmet.
"But that´s-" Brody said but Ryan cut him off. "Screw that. Put it on !" Brody just did as he was told and put the helmet on. He got onto the D-Wheel and Ryan typed away on the small screen. "Hold on tight. This will be way faster then I moved in your world." Ryan warned.
"I just trust you on this now !" Brody replied, a hit of afraidness in his voice.
Ryan smirked. "Unlock speed limiter. Destination, Orphanage, secret entrance."
"Speed limiter unlocked. Destination confirmed." A robotic female voice said and a map appeared on the D-Wheel´s screen. The engine went on and Ryan looked over his shoulder at Brody. "See that, Brody ? Welcome to the world of speed." Ryan smirked once more and then slammed his foot onto the pedal. The D-Wheel then speed of and Brody hold on tight.

Episode 22. Synchro - The World of Speed
Ryan and Brody were riding at a fast pace through a tunnel with the bright lights within shining on their helmets. While Ryan was determined to get home as fast as possible, Brody was still shocked and surprised at what was happening. "Um Ryan ? Little explaining please."
"Yeah, sorry Brody. I was just getting us out of there as quickly as possible. Here on the road we have the best chance to outrun Security."
"What is Security ?" Brody asked.
"Our worlds military. They are responsible to maintain the order in and out of the city." Ryan replied. "But maybe I should start from the beginning." They drove out of the tunnel and were now somewhere in the middle of the city, still at a fast pace. Ryan controlled his D-Wheel pretty good and so easily overtook several cars by going past them left or right. "About twenty years ago, New Domino City was devided into two parts, Tops and Commons. Rich and poor. The strong and the weak. The city was built on the foundations of comeptition. The losers fell while the winners rose. The tops were one percent of the population and controled ninety-nine percent of the wealth while Commons were ninety-nine percent of the population and controled one percent of the wealth."
"That reminds me, Lynn did say that she was raised by a Common." Brody said.
"Me and Lynn grew up, and still live at a orphanage which is runned by someone who once was a Common. He took us in when we were babies and raised us together with the history of our city. It really wasn´t a nice time. That´s when one day, a group of both Tops and Commons stepped up and fighted together to change something. It was a long and hard journey but they succeeded and changed this city, convincing everyone that it doesn´t matter if you are a Top or a Common.
New Domino City was completly rebuild and now almost everyone lives a normal and fair live. In order to maintain this peace, new laws were created, such like no Turbo-Duels inside the city and outside of tournaments, no illegal street races on the highways, driving license for D-Wheels only from the age of sixteen.
For you this laws might sound weird, but for a world where speed and Turbo-Duels reign high popularity, such rules are really neccessery. And that´s where the problem is. While many people are completly fine with those laws, there are still people out there who don´t want to accept them. They keep breaking them. Therefore, Security, who had been founded to make sure that no one breaks the law, started to tightened the laws and the consequences when you break them. And now our city is at the point where you end up in the Facility should you decide to break them."
"Facility ?" Brody questioned.
"Sorry. Maybe should have called it jail. Thankfully, neither me, Lynn, nor our friends had to ever go there. Rumors say that a few days in there are like years of hell."
"That´s... pretty mean. Isn´t there a way to change that ?" Brody asked.
"As a matter of fact, there do is one way that could help." Ryan replied. They were now back on a highway and Ryan´s home wasn´t that far away anymore. "The Turbo-Duel Grand Prix." Ryan pointed to a billboard which showed a picture of a Turbo-Duel and the name of the tournament. "You can take part at it as a team. The winners get a high prize money and are granted help for a project of their choice. Me and Lynn wish to duel there and try to win it. We want to give the money to the orphanage while we want to use the promised help to build a huge highway out on the ocean with enough space for Turbo-Duels and normal races. There, people who want to can go all out and the city is left peaceful."
"That sounds like a really cool project." Brody said with a smile.
"Thanks. But achieving that won´t be easy. Every team that competes at this tournament is extreamly strong. We ha-" Ryan got interupted by the sound of a male voice which came from a loud speaker. "D-Wheel user, pull over now !"
Both boys looked back and saw a male in a green shirt, brown pants and a black jacket on a grey D-Wheel follow them. Ryan then noticed the yellow symbole on the jacket and gritted his teeth. "Dammit ! A man of Security in civil !"
"According to your tone, this isn´t good, huh ?" Brody said nervous.
"No it isn´t. Some man of Security hide themselves in public while wearing civilian clothes. Like this they hunt down people who obviously break the laws, without getting noticed right away. He probably followed as for a while now." Ryan replied. "We have to outrun him !" Ryan turned up the speed and drove even faster.
"D-Wheel user, pull aside ! This is your second and last warning !" The man speeded up and caught up with Ryan´s D-Wheel. Brody was now able to see his face. The man has short black hair and a scar on his right cheek. Brody looked back at Ryan. "Dump question. What will happen if he catches us ?"
"We will be send to the Facility for who knows how long. But don´t worry. Once we make it to the secret entrance of the orphanage, we´ll be safe. I have never let Security catch me before." Ryan increased his D-Wheel´s speed once more. The Securtiy man begun to speak into his helmet´s microphone. "This is civil officer Hachiro. I will force them into a Duel and so bait them to the main location of my team."
"Roger that. Civilians will be moved away." Came the answer through the headset. Hachiro smirked. "Time for some fun. Activating Speed World Neo !"
(" Duel mode, on. Autopilot, stand by !") Read his D-Wheel. A red blade Duel Disk appeared and a purple field shot out and went through Ryan´s D-Wheel.
Ryan gritted his teeth as his green double Duel Disk blade appeared. Brody was surprised. "What is happening ?!"
"He´s forcing us into a Turbo-Duel. I was sure I could outrun him like normal. I guess they made Speed World Neo standard issue." Ryan said, clearly annoyed.
Brody looked back at the chasing D-Wheel. ("This is nuts.") He thought as the D-Wheel slowly but surely caught up. ("On the other hand, it could be worse. I could have ended up in the Fusion World !")
Ryan looked behind and officer Hachiro was right behind them. "Sorry Brody but now I have no other choice but to duel our way out of this."
"It´s okay. Just be careful." Brody replied as he clung onto the D-Wheel.
"This is your last chance, D-Wheel user ! Pull over !" Hachiro said.
"Sorry. Not gonna happen !" Ryan yelled back.
"Fine. You will regret that decision !" Hachiro said back. An alarm then went on and massive metal poles shot up from the ground. They created another highway and both D-Wheels drove onto that highway. Ryan and Hachiro were now side by side as they drove around the corner, eyes focused right on the road ahead. "Riding Duel... Acceleration !"

"I go first ! When there are no monsters on my field, I can special summon Servant of the Scholar ! " Hachiro said and a boy wearing a brown robe appeared in defence mode. It flew next to Hachiro as he drove.

"Next I normal summo Stygian Security in defence mode." A fiend like monster appeared. It was blue with red bat-like wings on its head. In one claw it holds a loudspeaker and in the other it holds a long chain. It also has a red warn-light on its head.

"I set one card and end my turn." A card appeared on the track next to Hachiro´s D-Wheel and disappeared again.
("I never dueled a Security member in civil before. They are known to be strong. However, I will not end up in the Facility. Lynn will kill me if I do.") Ryan thought as he placed his hand on his deck.
TURN 2 Ryan LP 4000 Hand 5 / Hachiro LP 4000 Hand 2
"I draw !" Ryan placed the card into his wrist dealer which held his card-hand. "When I control no monsters then I can special summon Speedroid Terrortop !" Numerous red spinning tops appeared in a snake like shape. Each one had a yellow spike on the top and two blades on each side.

"When Terrortop is special summoned I can add 1 Speedroid monster from my deck to my hand ! I add Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice ! And now I normal summon it !" A yellow dice with a red eye and has six tiny grey orbs surrounding it which are glowing red.

"I use the effect of Red-Eyed Dice and change Terrortop to level five ! And now I tune the level five Terrortop with the level one Red-Eyed Dice !" Ryan shouted and the Synchro Summon occured. ( 5+1 = 6 ) "Appear, Hi-Speedroid Dragon-Jet !" A large red and yellow jet with its head looking like a dragon head appeared flying above Ryan and Zarc.

"Dragon-Jet´s effect activates ! Once per turn I can banish a Speedroid from my graveyard to hit you with 600 damage ! I banish Speedroid Terrortop !" Dragon-Jet fired an energy beam which hit the track in front of Hachiro´s D-Wheel, making him swirl.

"Now Dragon-Jet, destroy his Stygian Security !" Ryan´s Synchro monster fired another beam which destroyed the fiend-like monster.
"When Stygian is destroyed by battle, I can special summon one level 1 Fiend-Type monster from my deck in defence position ! Appear a second Stygian Security !" Hachiro shouted and another Stygian Security appeared, This one was red.

("The same Tuner monster ? I guess this really is the Synchro World.") Brody thought.
"I end my turn with two face down cards." Ryan said. Two cards appeared on the left side next to his D-Wheel and vanished again.

"My turn !" Hachiro drew a card and smiled. "I summon 1st Officer of the new Army !" A man in blue militaric clothes appeared in front of Hachiro.

"Next I activate the Spell, Against a World´s law ! I target a monster you control and take damage equal to its current attack while you have to choose one monster I control and take damage equal to its attack !"
"What ?! Why would you do such a stupid thing ?!" Ryan asked shocked.
"You will find out soon. Now choose !" Hachiro said with a confident tone.
"Fine ! I choose Stygian Security and take 100 damage !" Ryan felt a small electrical shock. Ryan LP 4000 (-100) 3900
"You only control one monster so I take Dragon-Jet´s 2300 attack points as damage." Hachiro also got an electrical shock.

("He must be planning something big if he is wiling to take so much damage.") Ryan thought with narrowed eyes.
"Now I tune my level four 1st Officer of the new Army with my level three Servant of the Scholar and my level one Stygian Security !" Hachiro yelled. Stygian Security became a green ring and the other two monsters flew through the ring and became seven white orbs.
( 4+3+1 = 8 ) "Synchro Summon ! Appear ! Level eight ! Security-Beast, Omega !" A large dark blue wolf with three heads appeared. Two of the heads had a light blue mane while the head in the middle had a chain in its mouth. It had long and sharp metal claws and its body is covered in chains.

"A level eight monster with zero attack and defence ?" Brody questioned.
"That only means that it has a strong effect." Ryan said before he looked over his shoulder at the new monster. ("But why do I have the feeling that something is off with that monster ?")
"Security-Beast Omega cannot be destroyed or affected by card effects, and neither can it be destroyed by monsters which are level seven or higher !" Hachiro said. "Now I activate its effect ! Once per turn it deals damage to you equal to the difference between our lifepoints, and this effect cannot be negated !"
"WHAT ?!" Both Ryan and Brody shouted shocked. Ryan gritted his teeth. ("That´s why he damaged himself... to make a high enough gap between our lifepoints. Dammit. And my Traps won´t be able to help me.")
The large wolf charged forward and hit the back of Ryan´s D-Wheel hard. It begun to swirl and Ryan fought hard to get it back on balance.

Hachiro looked ahead and saw something in the distance. He smiled. "I end my turn with that. You get one more turn. Use it wisely if you don´t want to end in the Facility."
TURN 4 Ryan LP 1100 Hand 3 / Hachiro LP 1100 Hand 1
Ryan was about to draw. ("I have to win this now or he will finish me on his next turn.") He speeded up his D-Wheel. "My turn !" Ryan looked at his drawn card and grinned. "Alright ! Exactly what I need ! I normal summon Speedroid Skull Warrior !" A skull wearing black machine-like armour, a blue helmet and a long dark blue cape appeared.

"Skull Warrior´s effect activates ! When normal summoned I can destroy a card on your field ! I destroy your Trap !" The monster turned around and charged towards Hachiro. It slammed its right fist onto the Trap, destroing it. "You are from Security which makes you feel automatically confident. And that is a big mistake ! End this, Dragon-Jet !" Ryan yelled. Dragon-Jet unleashed a beam which hit and destroyed the large wolf. An explosion occured and this made Hachiro swirl uncontrolable with his D-Wheel.

Ryan took his chance and speed of. After a moment, Hachiro managed to come to a stop with his D-Wheel. He took of his helmet and smiled. "I told you to use your turn wisely. What a shame you did not."
"Seriously ?! Why did he let himself get beaten this easy ?!" Brody said, not able to understand why they could win this so easy.
"We´re not out of it yet, Brody. Look !" Ryan pointed forward and there were numerous other Security men in civil with their D-Wheels. They were blocking the path.
"I guess that guy knew that his companions were waiting here." Brody said. "What now ? We can´t go through them ?"
Ryan just grinned. "Leave that to me and hold on !" He looked up at a highway wall and speed up towards it. Ryan launched off the wall and over the Security men, shocking Brody and the men. Ryan landed the D-Wheel behind the Security men and then drove off at high speed once more. "That was crazy, and you know that !" Brody yelled with anger while Ryan only laughed. Hachiro then reached his men. "Be ready to arrest them both. They won´t make it that far." He said to his men while smiling.
"Hey Ryan ? How much longer until we are at your orphanage ?" Brody then asked.
"Just a few more mintues. Hopefully-" Ryan stopped as he suddenly realized that his D-Wheel was slowing down. "What the hell... ?" The map on the screen also start to flicker and soon the D-Wheel stopped and shut down. "Oh no no no no ! Not this ! Dammit ! I should have known that this monster was a Trap !" Ryan yelled, hitting the D-Wheel with his right fist.
"What are you talking about ? What´s going on ?!" Brody asked, not liking this situation. He and Ryan got of the D-Wheel.
"That Synchro monster was rigged with a virus. When I destroyed it, the virus hacked into the system of my D-Wheel and so shut it down. I heard people say that Security was using a new technic to catch their targets, but I somehow believed it were just some rumors to scare us." Ryan said. He then sighed as he heard sirens getting closer. "And now we are standing here, as on the presentation plat, ready to be arrested."
"Maybe we can reason with them ? After all, they were the ones who forced us into the Duel. We didn´t do anything !" Brody said.
Ryan just leaned against his D-Wheel and crossed his arms. "That won´t work. They might forced us into the Duel, but I still broke enough rules in their eyes. I´m fourteen and you are not allowed to drive a D-Wheel until you´re sixteen, when we appeared here we seemd to have landed in a restricted area, and I drove through city at a to high pace. We´re done now."
Brody just starred at Ryan with an unbelieving expression as the Security men appeared behind him. ("You must be kidding. This can´t be happening...")
Returning to present day
Ryan flinched at the memory. "Okay... maybe it was my fault. But hey, why not see it on the bright side ? Should the people of Fusion come here and attack, we will be safe in here."
Brody just sighed before he climbed onto the top bed of the bunk bed. He laid down and closed his eyes. ("Just how in the hell could I end up in this mess ?") He thought.
The boys were so bussy with trying to accept the current situation that neither of them noticed the small black spy camera that was in the right corner of the ceiling.
Headquarters of Security
Inside a large room were many young woman and men sitting around a big, round table. They all wore familiar red and yellow uniforms. The table had six holografic screens and some holografic keyboards. Across from the table was an even larger screen, and Cobra, one of the five Commanders of the Fusion World, was standing right before the screen. It had live footage of Ryan and Brody in their cell. Cobra smirked to himself. "I´m only two days here and already found the Synchro Dragon along with the Standard Dragon who disappeared during the Invasion of the Standard World. It was a good idea after all to take control of this world´s military." He pulled out a bunch of cards. They had the images of the workers from Security who he had turned into cards. He looked proud of himself before tossing the cards into a small garbage can. Cobra then looked back up at the screen. "For now we will keep a close eye on those two boys and wait for more orders from the master. I can´t wait to cause some chaos. What about you, Cubelios ?" His large purple snake crawled around his body until the head looked over his right shoulder. It hissed and Cobra patted its head.
New Domino City, North side, one week earlier
Located somehwere in the north side of the city was the orphanage where Lynn and Ryan live. It was a large house with several rooms, a large grassy field in the backyard and a big garage where teens worked on their own D-Wheels.
In the backyard, a green portal apppeared and a few seconds later, Lynn stepped out of it. The portal then disappeared. Lynn looked around and then smiled. "It really worked. I´m finally back home." She then looked at her bracelet. "Thanky you, Morgan. We will see each other again." Lynn then headed to the backdoor of the orphanage and put her hand on the doorknob. She took a deep breath and then opened the door. "I´m home !"
Lynn didn´t even had the chance to walk inside as three little kids, two boys and a girl, jumped onto her, overjoyed. "Lynn ! You´re back !"
Lynn laughed and then hugged the kids. "Yes, I´m back. I´m sorry that I worried you so much. How are you three doing ? Amy, Haru, Tom ?"
Amy had shoulder lenght red hair and blue eyes and wore a purple summer dress and yellow sandales. The boys both wore shirts, short pants and sneakers while Haru had short brown hair and Tom wore a white and blue baseball cap.
The three kids then let go of Lynn. "We´re okay but where have you been ?" Amy asked. Lynn patted her head. "I will explain everything soon. Is Crow here ?" She asked.
"Yeah. He´s in the kitchen." Haru said and the kids left for another room. Lynn followed them into the large living room where also the kitched was. Lynn then looked up at the man who was washing dishes. He looked to be around 38 years old and has spiky orange hair and dark grey eyes. He wears a black headband, an ornage shirt, a sleevless brown jacket, long grey pants, black shoes and short fingerless black gloves.
Lynn looked slightly at the ground, feeling sad. She knew that this man cared deeply for her, Ryan and all the others here at the orphanage. He must have been worried sick when she disappeared weeks ago. "Hey Crow..." Lynn then said, just loud enough for the man to hear.
The man, Crow, gasped and stopped with what he was doing and turned around. His expression was one of total surprise. "Lynn..."
Lynn smiled a bit as she walked over to him. "I´m back and... I´m so sorry for worring you and the others." Instead of a reply, Crow just walked over to her and hugged her. "I´m glad your back. Where have you been all those past weeks ?" Crow then asked as he broke the hug.
"It´s a long story. I will explain everything but first, where are Dai and Akira ?" Lynn said.
Crow smiled. "Garage." He smiply said. Lynn chuckled. How could she forget such an obvious thing. "Right, the garage. Where else would they be."
"When you disappeared they started working even harder on finishing their D-Wheel so they could search for you. And when Ryan also disappeared, they didn´t even left the garage anymore." Crow said. Lynn nodded before making her way outside to the large garage.
Inside the garage were two teenagers, about 16 years old. The girl had long black hair, bond into a ponytail and green eyes while the boy looked like a teenage version of Crow, but his spiky orange hair was tipped with red. Both wore green mechanic overalls and were working on a black D-Wheel with a red lightning-like stripe on each side.
Lynn leaned against the wall and watched them with a smile. It reminded her of the time she and Ryan had spent in here, building their D-Wheel. "Hey you two. Long time not seen."
Akira and Dai looked up and were shocked as they saw Lynn. They both sprung up and quickly went over to hug her.
"You´re in so much trouble, young lady. Don´t you ever scare us like this again !" Akira said with tears in her eyes. "We thought you were gone forever."
"We searched through the whole city for weeks but couldn´t find you. Where have you been ?" Dai asked.
"Let´s get inside. I´ll explain there." Lynn said and the three friends went back inside. They all then sat down on the two sofas. Lynn then looked at the three little kids with a sad smile. "Amy, Haru and Tom. Could you three go outside and play there for a while ? I promise that I will play with you later but right now I have to talk with Crow and the others. And I´m sorry but this is not a topic for little kids." The kids looked disappointed but still left to go play outside.
During the next hour, Lynn explained everything that has happened so far. From her traveling to another world to metting Morgan, learning about the existence of five worlds and five different Summoning Methods, the occuring of the Invasion on Standard and the plan of the Fusion World to create an ultimate world by merging all worlds into one single world and to turn anyone who they believe is to weak for the new world into cards.
Crow, Akira and Dai knew Lynn since she was a baby and so had no reason to not believe her. "So, what do you want to do next ?" Dai then asked.
"Well, as I already said, me and my friend Morgan plan to fight against the people of the Fusion World. We want to convince the people of the remaining four worlds to fight alongside us. This is a war, and if we want to win it then we have to fight together. We also want to find our other selfs before Fusion does. There has to be a reason why the Master of the Fusion World wants us. We are something different, and proof of that are the fact that we look alike and that all of us girls have bracelets who react to each other. Ryan´s Dragon Clear Wing also reacted to our friend Brody´s Dragon Odd-Eyes. But why none of us knows yet." Lynn said. "However, there is something I want to check out first. Ryan and Brody disappeared during the Invasion on Standard, and me and Morgan guess that they somehow went to another world. Ryan has our D-Wheel with him and it has GPS. If he is back here in Synchro, then we should be able to track him down."
"Okay. Then let´s try it out right away." Dai said before he went back into the garage and sat down at a table with a computer.
"What will you do if he is not here ?" Akira then asked.
"I´ll go with the plan. Thinking about a way to warn our world while waiting for Morgan to come here." Lynn answered. "If I have learned one thing while I was gone then it is that Morgan keeps her promises. She said she would come once she is ready in Ritual and I trust in her."
"Seems like you made some good new friends while you were gone." Crow said with a smile.
"Yes, I did. However, my friendship with Morgan feels... a bit differet. Stronger. She seems to mean more to me then just as a normal friend." Lynn said back, also smiling. They then heared Dai calling out to them. "Hey guys ! You wanna better come and take a look at this !"
Soon they all stood behind Dai as he typed away on the computer. "You´re lucky, Lynn. Ryan really seems to be here in New Domino City. I could track down your D-Wheel."
"Great. Where is he ? I´m sure Brody is also with him." Lynn asked, leaning onto Dai´s shoulder with one hand.
"Yeah, that´s the problem. I found him... but at a place I didn´t expected." Dai said while he rubbed his head with one hand. He showed them a map of the city and a red dot appeared. "According to the GPS of your D-Wheel... Ryan is in the Facility."
"What ?!" Lynn said shocked before taking a look at the map. The red dot which was the D-Wheel was indeed located at the Facility. Lynn´s eyebrow then twitched in anger. "That idiot ! How many times did I told him to be careful when driving around the city !" She then moaned while grapping her head. "Just great. That´s exactly what I needed. How am I supposed to get him out of there ?! Not to forget that Brody could be there with him."
"Well, you for sure will need a plan. It´s almost impossible to get someone out of there. And since we don´t know why he got arrested, he might even could be in the high security wing. And that part is guarded like hell." Dai said.
Lynn sighed. "I need to sleep a night over this and then figure out a plan. But I will get him out of there. And then I will kill him."
Crow chuckled a bit. "Don´t be so hard on him. When you didn´t returned home, he worked day and night to find you. He was so determined that he might forgot to care about our city´s laws."
Lynn sighed once more and then smiled a bit. "Yeah. That´s just Ryan being Ryan."
"Anyway, we are glad that you´re back." Cow said and Lynn smiled at him before going upstairs to her room. Entering, she threw of her sneakers and let herself fall onto her bed. She groaned into her pillow before looking at a picture of her, Ryan and the others of the orphanage. ("I have to get him out of there. For our sake... and for the sake of the five worlds. But at least I now know where he and probably also Brody is. Let´s just hope they don´t get themselfs into trouble while being in there.") She thought.
New Domino City, Facility, present day
The Facility has six levels and all inmates on one level have had access to the lowest area every two days, at different times. The level were Brody and Ryan were imprisoned was the last group today. Right now the most inmates were in the large canteen and were doing different things. Talking, reading books, playing card games or doing muscle training. Ryan and Brody were sitting on a table while having a Duel. Since the Facility uses interference waves to block Duel Disks, they had to play it in the old way which was quite boring.
That´s when all of a sudden, an ornage basketball slammed onto the table, scattering part of their cards at the ground. Ryan looked up with an angry expression. "Who threw that ball over here ?!" He yelled, catching the attention of some other inmates.
An about 22 year old boy with purple hair and green eyes walked over along with four other boys who seemed to be the same age. They wore clothes which were torn at some points, similiar to clothes which gangs normally wear.
"Sorry for that. Maybe next time pay more attention to your surroundings." The purple haired boy said with a grin. "What did you say ?!" Ryan yelled back, right fist balled in anger. Brody finished collecting his cards which had fallen to the ground and looked at Ryan. "Forget about it, Ryan. Let´s just go back to our room."
Ryan growled before kneeling down and starting to collect his cards. The older boy watched him and then grinned once more. "You don´t happen to be a Common ?"
"Not really, but I was raised by one. Why do you want to know ?" Ryan said as he glared back at him.
The boy shrugged with his shoulders. "Dunno. Maybe because I wonder why a Common has such good Synchro monsters in a deck full of weak cards."
"My Speedroid cards are not weak ! People who come from families of Commons may don´t have the strongest and rarest cards, but they cherish what they do have !" Ryan snapped back. "However, you seem to come from a family of Tops so I´m not surprised that you don´t understand that !"
"Strong and rare cards mean power and wealth while weak cards which you can find everywhere mean no wealth. That´s the wonderful system our world should return to. People with wealth and power should always stand at the top, it´s where we belong. It´s not fair that we have to share it with weaklings like you Commons." The boy said.
"Don´t make me sick !" Ryan yelled back. "I was told that a few people wish to return the city to being divided. But that is not going to happen ! And should they try, then people like me and my friends will stand up and fight to prevent it ! Our city is finally peaceful, and that should stay that way !"
"If you really think that way, then why not show it to me ? Duel me. If you win then I will take back everything I just said. But should I win then I get those Synchro Dragon monsters of yours." The boy said with a smirk.
"And what if I don´t want to ?" Ryan asked.
"Then it just showes what you Commons truly are. Weaklings." The boy said and his friends started to laugh.
"Fine ! You get your Duel ! I´ll show you ! We Commons are not weaklings !" Ryan yelled with anger as his eyes glowed green for just a second.
"But how do you want to duel ? Our Duel Disks don´t work in here." Brody said with narrowed eyes. The boy waved his hand. "Leave that to me. Come over to our table in five minutes." With that the boy and his friends left for the table which was in the left corner of the canteen.
Brody looked up at Ryan. "Do you really want to do this ? You risk to lose your dragon."
"He called Commons weaklings. Like this he disgraced me, Lynn and all of our friends. It´s true that we Commons don´t always have the best things, but that doesn´t mean that we are weak ! I can´t let someone like him get away with what he said. I will duel him, and I will win." Ryan said. Brody just sighed. He knew he couldn´t change Ryan´s mind so he didn´t say anything more. He just hoped that Ryan knew what he was doing.
A few minutes later and both Ryan and the boy stood face to face in the middle of the room while the other inmates gathered around them to watch.
"I talked with some men of Security and they will allow us to use our Duel Disks for twenty minutes. However, in exchange, the loser of the Duel has to spent the next week in the underground cells. Hope you´re not afraid of dark and tight spaces." The boy said.
"That doesn´t scare me. I won´t lose anyway." Ryan said back, his voice still angry.
"He sure is a brave kid. Don´t be to hard on him, Xander." One young man in the crowd said.
"I can´t promise that." The purple haired boy, Xander, said and activated his Duel Disk. Ryan activated his own. "DUEL !" Both then yelled together.

"I go first ! Commons will always be in our shadow !" Xander said.
"Just go !" Ryan yelled back.
"I will show you your place. I summon Demon Street Rider !" A demon with horns in a black riding outfit appeared while sitting on a golden and silver bike.

"I set two cards. Your turn." Xander said as two face-down cards appeared before his feet and vanished again.

"I draw !" Ryan took a card from his deck. He took a quick look and played the card. "I summon Speedroid Razorang !" A red humaniod-machine like monster appeared in front of Ryan. Each arm is a very long, sharp yellow blade while the bottom part is one single yellow blade.

"Raorang´s effect ! I can bring out a Speedroid monster from my hand upon its normal summon. I special summon Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice !" The yellow dice with the red eye appeared next to Razorang.

("Let´s see if he can do anything good with those weak monsters.") Xander thought.
"I tune those two monsters !" Ryan yelled. Red-Eyed Dice became the green Synchro ring while Razorang flew through it. ( 4+1 = 5 ) "Appear Hi-Speedroid Chanbara !" A purple knight who rode a sword-like vehicle came to the field.

"Very cool." Brody said from the sidelines.
"I was waiting for you to do that !" Xander said. "I play my Trap, Synchro Ejection !"
"Not that !" Ryan said in anger. "This removes from play one Synchro monster !" Xander said and Chanbara shattered as it was banished.
"But I can draw one card via its effect !" Ryan said as he drew.
"Doesn´t matter. Soon your Synchro Dragon monsters will belong to me !" Xander said.
"This is not fair !" Brody said.
"My Clear Wing will go nowhere !" Ryan said with a smirk afterwards.
"I will knock that smirk away from your face ! I play my set Quick-Play Spell, Synchro Return ! I special summon a banished Synchro monster and summon it to my field ! Appear Chanbara !"
"Coward ! Get your own !" Brody said as Chanbara appeared on Xander´s field. Xander looked at him. "I´m only returning things to where they should be. And once I´m out of this jail I will change our city back to how it was !"
"New Domino City will never return to being divided again ! I will make sure of that !" Ryan yelled before he sighed. "You´re annoying. I use Monster Reborn to bring back Razorang in defence mode." The machine monster came out of a portal on the ground and a blue light surrounded it.

"You don´t seem to be happy... good ! I draw !" Xander smirked at his card. "This ends here ! I summon Samurai Sword Baron !" A samurai wearing a green jacket appeared.

"I shall use his effect ! It allows me to change your defence positioned Razorang into attack position !"
"Dammit. He has an answer to everything." Ryan replied. Sword Baron lifted up his sword which then glowed. Razorang glowed next and the blue light surrounding it vanished.
"Ryan, please tell me you have an answer or something ?" Brody said. Ryan gave him a grin. "Don´t worry, I won´t lose to someone like him."
"I tune my Sword Baron with Demon Street Rider !" Both monsters entered the Synchro Summoning sequence. ( 4+4 = 8 ) "Appear level eight, Beelze of the Diabolic Dragons !" A large, twin headed red dragon appeared on the field.

"Now to use your own monster against you ! It actually isn´t as bad as I thought !"
"What does he mean, Ryan ?" Brody asked. Before Ryan could answer, Xander launched his attack. "Go Chanbara, attack his Razorang !" Chanbara shot forward and slashed the fellow Speedroid monster with his double swords. The swords slightly increased in size.

"Why did its attack increase by 100 ?!" Brody asked surprised.
"When it attacks, it gains 100 more attack points and the worst is yet to come." Ryan said in a serious tone.
"You are right with that ! Chanbara can attack twice !" Xander yelled.
"What ?!" Said Brody as Chanbara launched forward once more, this time directly. Its swords increased in size once more. Chanbara ATK/2200
"I play Sacred Mirror Force !" One of Ryan´s Traps flipped up. "When attacked directly, I can destroy all face-up attack positioned monsters you control and I gain lifepoints equal to halve of the attack of one of the monsters destroyed !"
"Nice !" Brody said as Chanbara crashed into a force field and was destroyed. "Now your dragon is gone as well !" Ryan yelled and the force field extended forward, almost touching Beelze. Despite this, Xander smirked. "Fool ! Beelze cannot be destroyed by battle or affected by Spell or Trap cards !"
"No !" Ryan said as Beelze unleashed a dark beam at the force field, destroying it. "Fine, but I still gain half of Chanbara´s attack !"

"I attack with Beelze !" Xander yelled. Each of both heads of the dragon fired an energy beam which hit Ryan and send him backwards, hard. The crowd who stood behind him moved out of the way. Ryan LP 5000 (-3000) 2000
"You´re lucky. Not many last another turn against my dragon ! I set a card !" Xander ended his turn with that.
"Is he trying to injure you or what ?" Brody questioned, looking over to Ryan.
"Of course I am. If I injure you, that´s a bonus for my victory !" Xander laughed while Ryan gritted his teeth with anger.

"My turn ! I draw !" Ryan smiled at his card. "I summon Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice !" A blue pyramid with red eyes on its panels appeared.

"Now I tune those two monsters !" At this point Brody´s deck glowed and so did Ryan´s extra deck. The two could sense what was coming. ( 4+3 = 7 ) "Spread those wondrous and beautiful wings, and strike down your enemies at the speed of light ! Synchro Summon ! Come forth ! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon !" A large white bodied Dragon without legs, blue markings, a long tail and green glowing wings and eyes appeared. It let out a mighty roar.

"Your dragon..." Brody said with a grin.
"Yes and he´s going to win me this Duel !" Ryan said. Xander looked confident. "I use my Trap ! Breakthrough Skill ! I target one face-up monster you control and negate its effects until the end of this turn !" Clear Wing lost color as it lost its effects.
"Damn you !" Ryan said as his anger seem to grew. "Fine ! Go my Trap Synchro Strike ! I target a Synchro Summoned monster and it gains 500 attack for each material it used until the end phase ! Clear Wing gains 1000 attack points !"
Clear Wing ATK/3500 "Go, my dragon !" Ryan commanded and Clear Wing fired a green energy beam from its mouth.
"I told you that Beelze cannot be destroyed by battle !" Xander shouted.
"But you still take damage !" Ryan snapped back. Beelze stood firm and took the hit from Clear Wing.

"What ?! Why did your dragon´s attack increase ?!" Ryan questioned shocked.
"Beelze increases its attack in the same amount as I take damage from battles involving it. And the same goes for effect damage !" Xander beamed.
"Dammit ! I end my turn !" Ryan said in both annoyens and anger. Clear Wing lowered its head a bit as its attack returned to normal.

"I draw !" Xander yelled. "First I banish Breakthrough Skill and use its effect ! I can negate your monster´s effects again !"
"Give me a break !" Ryan said as his dragon´s effects got negated once more.
"Common scum deserves nothing ! I equip Beelze with Axe of Despair ! It gains 1000 attack !" Beelze gained a blade on each head.
Beelze ATK/4500 "Now attack !" Beelze launched another dark blast from its mouths but this time it was stronger than before.
"I banish Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice from my grave ! This negates the attack !" A force field appeared and took the hit for Ryan.
"Lucky !" Xander said. "I end my turn with a set card."
"Ryan... let´s stop this. I can´t take much more of this." Brody said. He started to feel something deep inside of him and he didn´t like it.
"But this is entertainment." Xander said, pointing around. The ones watching seem to have fun at seeing Ryan going down. Brody looked at Xander with an annoyed expression. "This is nothing like entertainment ! Dueling should bring smiles to everyone !"
"Don´t waste your words on someone like him, Brody." Ryan said. "He doesn´t deserve to smile." He added with anger.
TURN 6 Ryan LP 2000 Hand 2 / Xander LP 3500 Hand 1
"My turn !" Ryan yelled and he drew.
Xander smirked once again. "Go another Breakthrough Skill !"
"No !" Ryan yelled as his dragon fell again.
"It´s just like I said earlier. Commons are, and still will always be weaklings !" Xander said with a grin. "ENOUGH !" Ryan roared with anger and his eyes begun to glow green. "I have enough of you human scum !" He growled before he sensed something coming from behind him. He narrowed his eyes. "Need some help, brother ?"
"What do you want, Natsu ?" Ryan growled as he looked over his shoulder. Brody stood there with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face. His eyes were glowing red.
"I was bored and sensed you so I decided to come out as well. And what do I see ? You´re about to be defeated by a little human and his pathetic excuse of a dragon." Brody said.
"You stay low ! You would be in the same situation !" Ryan snapped back.
"I doubt that." Brody said back, still smirking. "Anyway, I´m in a good mood today. Want me to help you out ?"
"And so allow you to merge with me ? Forget it !" Ryan once more snapped back.
"Idiot. I can´t fully merge with you unless I beat you before that. And besides that, the seal that the Angels placed on us is still strong so only a small part of my power is able to get through. However, it´s still enough to allow us to merge for a little while. And since no Angel is here to interupt, why not have some fun ?"
"Are you two done ? I want to finish this !" Xander said while looking annoyed.
Ryan gritted his teeth. "Fine. But don´t get cocky. I still aim to defeat you and take the lead."
"You won´t be able to control the power I have. I will always be the strongest one of us." Brody replied. His right hand then glowed red and the lights in the room went out. Brody then turned into red energy and vanished into Ryan who then smirked. The lights went back on as everyone looked around in confusion.
"I don´t know what just happened but make your move already !" Xander yelled.
"I shall !" Said Ryan with a hint of Brody´s voice mixed within.
"However, your chances of winning are zero !" Xander said.
"You are merely a small human, I am a mighty dragon !" Ryan yelled. "I activate the Spell, Dragon Tuning ! I special summon one Dragon-Type monster from my deck ! It is then treatened as a level one Tuner !" A glowing card poped out of Ryan´s deck. "I special summon Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon !" Ryan roared, slamming the card onto his blade. A large red scaled dragon with a large horn on each side of his head and one red and one green eye appeared. The clawed fingers on his hand were placed in a circle and on his back he has two large white spikes. The left spike has a large red orb on it while the right one has two green orbs, one small and one big which makes that spike longer then the left one.

Odd-Eyes - Tuner/Lv. 1
Once Odd-Eyes appeared on the field, both he and Clear Wing begun to roar loudly. Xander´s dragon at this begun to shake with fear and it begun to back away. Xander looked up at his dragon, slightly shocked. "My dragon... is afraid... ?!"
Ryan smiled. "I tune my level seven Clear Wing Synchro Dragon with the now level one Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon !" Odd-Eyes turned into a green ring and Clear Wing flew through the ring and then changed into seven small white orbs. ( 7+1 = 8 )
"Dragon with dual colored eyes ! Gain the shining wings of light ! Soar to the summit of supremacy ! Synchro Summon ! Appear ! Level 8 ! The shining Dragon with piercing eyes ! Odd-Eyes Wing Dragon, the Supreme King white Dragon !" A dragon came to the field which shares similar apperance to Clear Wing. A large white and black body with a few glowing blue plates, glowing blue wings, a long tail and one red and one green eye.
Odd-Eyes Wing Dragon ATK/3000 DEF/2500 Dark/Dragon/Synchro/Pendulum/Lv. 8 -Scale 10
Ryan smirked. "Your pathetic dragon my cannot be destroyed by battle, or Spell and Trap cards... but it can be destroyed by monster effects ! Odd-Eyes Wing Dragon´s effect activates ! When Synchro Summoned, he destroys all monsters you control !" Wing Dragon roared and then unleashed waves of wind which easily wiped out Beelze. "And he gains attack equal to the attack of the highest monster that was destroyed !" Ryan added with a grin.
"What ?!" Xander said as Wing Dragon roared once more, increasing in power. Odd-Eyes Wing Dragon ATK/7500
"Now feel the power of two of the five Dragons of Destruction ! Odd-Eyes Wing Dragon, end him !" Ryan roared and Odd-Eyes Wing dragon fired a dark energy beam from its mouth. The beam hit Xander in the stomach. He screamed in pain as the force of the attack send him crashing full force into the wall behind him, also creating a crater.

As the smoke faded away, Xander was laying on the ground, badly injured. Everyone in the room looked on with shock while Ryan smirked, his eyes still glowing.
"Good riddance." He said before he turned around and begun to walk away. However, that´s when suddenly, a few metalic balls fell onto the ground all around and purple smoke started to come out of them. "What the hell is this ?!" Ryan roared before he collapsed to the ground along with all the others in the room.
Cobra then walked into the canteen with a few Security memebers behind him. "Get them all back to their cells." He ordered before looking down at the now knocked out Ryan. "But take him to the underground cells. He´s dangerous. We cannot allow for him to walk around with others."
"Yes Sir !" Each Security men said before going to work. Cobra looked on as two men carried Ryan away. ("The master was right. They are dangerous. It´s better to keep him locked up until I can bring him to the Fusion World.") He then looked around and narrowed his eyes. "But how could the Standard Dragon just disappear like that ?"
Same time at the Orphanage
Inside her bedroom, Lynn shot up in bed. Her bracelet was flickering in a green light but she didn´t noticed it. She was breathing in and out fast, her face was covered in sweat. She could swear she just heard a loud and rage filled roar. "What... am I feeling... ?" She whispered.
Ritual World, San Fierro City, Middle School
Morgan was still looking at the sky, but then she closed her eyes and smiled nervously. "I somehow have mixed feelings. However, right now they are on their own." She then heard the school´s bell rang and many students started to leave the school. Rei, Dan, Finn and Alexis then meet up with Morgan on the rooftop. Morgan then explained to them about informing this world of the danger right here and now.
"Are you sure that this will work ?" Dan asked with a concerned look.
"No. But we have no other choice. Time is running out. With people of Fusion already here we have to-" Morgan got interupted by a loud alarm which went over the whole city. High in the sky, several holografic screens appeared.
"What the hell is that now ?" Alexis asked, refering to the screens. Before anyone could say something, Sonya appeared on the screens.
Sonya smiled and waved. "Hello people of San Fierro City ! My name is Sonya ! I run a card stand together with my father. We travel from city to city to sell our cards, and whenever we leave a city again, we are holding a ruffle for three rare cards. Many people have buyed cards from our shop. Those cards are your lots for the ruffle. If you want to take part at the ruffle, then please stuck one of the cards you buyed by us into your Duel Disks. A massage will then show you if you are one of the lucky winners. I wish everyone good luck !" With that said, all the holoscreens disappeared again.
"Does anyone of you understand why she now does such a thing ?" Finn asked confused.
"She´s up to something." Morgan said with narrowed eyes and a serious tone.
"But what could she be planning ?" Rei asked.
Suddenly, screams of fear and shock could be heared all around the city. People who have stucked the cards they had buyed by Sonya into their Duel Disks, suddenly started to glow in a purple light and then dissolve. Cards with their images then appeared on the ground.
Morgan and the others starred with shock as the same thing was happening to some of the students of the school. "This... can´t be true..." Morgan stuttered. Seeing this horror happen again...
Somewhere on a high building in the city, Sonya watched with a smile as a good part of the city´s residentlers got turned into cards. Ren and Celina stood behind her, both looking ready to be in action. Sonya´s smile then turned into an evil grin. "Everything goes as expected. The Invasion of the Ritual World... begins now !" She said and numerous purple portals appeared in the sky all around the city.

18th September 2020 *Three days, day and night, I worked to be able to rewrite all twenty-two chapters, but I did it. Thankfully I had all chapters saved on an USB-stick. It´s a bit confusing that the day of the upload of all 22 chapters is today, but seriously, who cares for the date ? Offically, this story started on the 23th January 2020 and the latest update was the 3th September 2020 with chapter 22. - Synchro-The World of Speed !
