Chapter 24: Battle for Alfea.

Amber's POV:

Dylan and I were now walking down the forest. The bike was damaged and there was no hope of getting it right. "You still can't transform?" Dylan asked glancing at me.

"I can try." I shrugged. I focused all my energy and tried to transform but a huge pain ran up to my head. "Aah!" I gasped and fell on my knees holding my head. Why does this seem familiar? There is a block!

"Amber!" Dylan immediately moved to my side and held my shoulders. "Are you okay? I don't think you should push hard."

"Hmm." I hummed still thinking of the pain. 'Go to Mista.' The familiar voice echoed in my mind. What? Mista? My sister? (A/N. Those who don't remember read chapter 14.) Why? Hello? Are you not gonna answer me? 'You will only be able to use your powers once you talk to Mista.'

"What happened?" a sudden click of fingers pulled me out of my daze.

"Uhh Dylan, there is something I need to do." I hesitated. Mista is supposed to be there in a forest near a lake. It's not exactly next to the lake but 20 minutes walk from there. "I have to meet my sister." I had told Dylan everything about me. About my mom coming in my dreams, Mista's appearance, but I didn't tell him about the voice. Something inside me told me not to say this to anyone. Not even Dylan and Bloom.

"Fine but I am coming with you," Dylan stated, folding his hands in front of his chest stubbornly.

"Fine!" I sighed. It's not like I can convince him to stay. Is it too dangerous? I hope not! 'It's better if he comes with you.' "I think I know the way. Follow me."

"Gladly." Dylan smiled and we set off on our journey. Dylan was on my side all the time and was on his alert mode.

Celeste's POV:

"According to the advanced warning system Timmy and Tecna designed, there's a major invasion on the way." Miss F. informed us, making fear penetrate my heart. But I have to stay strong and fight for Alfea!

"I'm not sure what good the warning is. That army is gonna squash us like wee, bitty grapes." Codatorta said in a depressed voice. Why did he have to be so negative?

But as usual Miss F. didn't fail to trust us. "I don't agree. The Alfea Girls and Red Fountain Boys are working well together." She praised.

"Next year, we'll have to bring them together under happier circumstances." Professor Saladin commented looking at the sky in thought.

"If there is a next year. This could be the end." Professor Codatorta said gravely. Here he goes again. Gawd!

"Why can't you be more positive like our students? Why just this morning some of them organized a pep rally, and they were saying things like 'We can do it!' and 'Bring it on!'." Miss F. said a little frustrated. She said it finally.

"That's youth talkin'." Codatorta countered and I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

Just then, Flora, Tecna, and Musa came running. I was so engrossed in the conversation that I didn't even see them wander off. "Miss... Faragonda. Something... something's coming." Flora huffed, her hands resting on her knees as she drew in long breaths.

"Tecna sensed a Vorpal Tunnel opening right over there!" Musa pointed up in the direction of the tunnel opening.

"Is it a sneak attack?" I gasped getting in my positions in case it is a sneak attack.

"Look! Something's materializing." Amaryl pointed out as Stella, Brandon, Knut, Miss Griffin and other Cloudtower students materialized in front of us.

"It's Stella! They're back!" I screamed out gleefully to which she smiled. But wait where were Bloom, Sky, Amber, and Dylan?

"And they rescued the imprisoned witches, but they look pretty grumpy." Flora noticed and I frowned. Are they unhappy to be here?

"It's Vorpal Tunnel Syndrome. It's like Jet Lag." Tecna explained and I nodded in understanding.

"Stand back girls." Miss F. informed and moved forward to meet Miss Griffin as she too moved forward. The stood in front of each other their faces serious though there was a bit of nostalgia. "How long has it been since you set foot on the Alfea campus, Griffin?" She asked with a slight smile.

"We were juniors, and Edeltrude and I were sneaking onto campus to turn the Kai Fly Sorority into goats." Miss griffin answered with the same smile. So they are kinda friends.

"Ah yes, if memory serves me, I believe you left our campus seven inches tall, in a jar." Miss F. stated humor evident in her voice.

"Those were happier times, weren't they?" Miss Griffin commented her mood suddenly darkening.

"With all of us banding together perhaps those happier times can return." Miss F. encouraged with a sweet smile. Oh, how I love this lady for her positivity.

Stella flew up in the sky and Brandon ran towards his friends. Riven followed him too. "Hey, Brandon. You made it back." One of his friends smiled up at him.

"What's up guys?" Brandon asked cheerfully his hands going around his friend in a manly hug.

"Tell him how worried you were about him." His friend smirked at another guy who also seemed part of their group.

"I wasn't worried." The other guy pouted. My eyes fell on Riven and I felt bad for him, as I saw his face wash with sadness. I think that is the punishment God gave him. But I am sure he has learned his lesson, and for those who have learned their lessons on time, sadness doesn't last long.

"Stella, where's Amber and Bloom?" Flora asked walking up to Stella and holding her hands.

"Why isn't she with you?" Tecna asked, worry evident in her voice. I joined them and looked at Stella questioningly. I frowned as her expression darkened and grief overtook her features.

"We don't know what happened to Amber, Dylan, Bloom, and Sky. They... stayed behind to keep the monsters from entering our escape portal. They were supposed to meet us back here at Alfea." Stella explained tears formed in her eyes.

"Oh dear!" I gasped and worry tightened my heart. Please let them be safe God!

Amber's POV:

"I don't think I can walk anymore!" I complained as my legs shook. This is too much. The forest is exactly in the center of Magix. They say it's enchanted and stands out from rest of the forest. Inside that small forest is a lake. That aside, I don't think I can walk even a step more. And it's already so dark.

"Do you want to rest?" Dylan asked keeping a comforting hand on my shoulder.

"I do." I nodded. I am sure my eyes were half closed. "Our destination is still a little far. And it's already so dark. Should we continue after a little rest?"

"I think that's a good idea." Dylan smiled. "There is a clearing ahead look…" He pointed towards a small clearing with soft green grass. I skipped towards it and quickly sat on the soft bed of the grass. It felt so good to give my body a little rest. "I'll go bring some wood. The air is getting chillier by the second."

After 30 minutes we both were seated in front of a burning fire. I frowned as I watched the orange flame dancing in the air sparks flying out of it, every minute or two. The cold air around us was warmed and had become more comfortable. The sky was still covered with grey clouds which made it impossible for us t predict the time. "Is something wrong Amber?" I snapped out of my daze and looked at Dylan who sported a worried look on his face.

His handsome face was illuminated by the fire. His thick eyebrows were brought together in a frown and his violet eyes held concern. Concern for me! "Thank you, Dylan." I breathed out smiling at him.

His frown deepened. "Thanks for what?" he asked.

"Thanks for being here with me, for not leaving me, for always staying by my side and protecting me. Thank you for taking care of me, Dylan. It's been so long since I felt this safe." I said scooting closer to him and resting my hands on his.

"You don't need to thank me for that Amber." Dylan smiled entwining his fingers with mine and holding my hand firmly. "I am glad you like my company. I am glad being with me makes you feel safe."

Sighing deeply I rested my head on his shoulder. "But I am scared Dylan. What if this is the last of our day? What if those witches win? What if my powers don't return?"

I felt a light squeeze on my hand I looked up into his eyes. "Nothing is going to go wrong, sweetheart. We are still too young and have a long life ahead of us. We are going to defeat those witches for good and your powers are going to come back and you'll be one of the most powerful fairies in the whole dimension. Amber, we only get what we think. If we think positive we will get a positive outcome and if we think negative that's the kind of outcome we will get."

A slow smile spread across my lips hearing his words. He was right! This was not the right time to be a pessimist. "I guess you are right…"

"I am right, just like always," Dylan smirked cockily. And here he comes back. "Let's sleep now." We both lied down on the soft green grass. Exhaustion seeped through my veins and my eyes started fluttering close. And just before I was going to slip into a sleep I heard a soft goodnight followed by a feather like light kiss on my cheek. But I didn't have the time to react as I slipped into deep slumber.

Icy's POV:

"Look at Bloom walking with her pretty-boy prince. It's pathetic" Stormy growled in frustration and anger. "It makes me wanna puke!" Bloom and Sky were walking in the forest the pathetic boy-prince trying to calm her nerves down.

"What makes me wanna toss it is seeing Griffin and those traitor witches hanging together with the pixies at Fairy High," Darcy said her voice mocking and laced with disgust.

A small mocking chuckle escaped my lips. "Heh, I think it's amusing. I mean, those idiot weaklings actually think they'll be safe cowering in the halls of Alfea hiding behind their professors." I laughed at those pathetic loser witches. They are stupid to think they can beat us.

"Hey! Looks like Bloom's heading toward Magix." Darcy observed through the Arachni-cam we sent after her.

"Bloom's useless now; we can cross her off our list of things to do," I smirked.

"That's right, forget that brat. Let's focus on taking Alfea." Stormy agreed happily.

"What about that pixie Amber?" Darcy asked suddenly.

"Hmm… that fairy is quite interesting." I thought as I thought back to one time she defeated us. "But for now, let's focus on mission conquer Alfea. Our strongest battalion yet is already on its way to Cutesy Academy. That school is finally gonna get the schooling it deserves." Laughs escaped past our lips as we rejoiced about all our successful plans. Oh, how I would love to crush all those pixies. It will be so much fun. Hahahaha.

Miss Faragonda's POV:

"It sounds like you're suggesting that Icy, Darcy, and Stormy are descendants of the original Coven." Saladin guessed as we discussed the three witches. Saladin, Griffin, Codatorta and I were right now in my office trying to look for a solution.

"Well, that's what they told Bloom when they ambushed her in Gardenia and took the Dragon Fire from her. It would explain their motive, and it would also explain their tremendous power." I explained thinking deeply about the words Bloom told me. I am pretty sure they are from the coven. Call it a hunch.

"But as we all know, the descendants of the Coven were banned from the schools of Magix for eternity, and no headmistress is permitted to override this rule." Codatorta pointed out making me a nod. Seems like Griffin was a little offended.

"I hope you're not implying that I knowingly admitted those-"

"No one is implying anything." I cut her off. We don't need another fight. We all have to be together for this battle.

"I certainly hope not. Their admission scrolls claimed they were from the realm of Miran, and yet I wondered why their parents never came to conference week." Griffin was yet again cut off by a loud shrieking sound of a creature. They are here again

"Sounds like they're here," Codatorta stated.

Quickly getting off my seat I walk to the window to see all the students taking their positions to attack. They started attacking enthusiastically and a smile formed on my face. They will never let us lose. My eyes zeroed on certain five girls. "Flora, watch out!" Tecna shouts and Flora luckily dodges.

The girls soon transform into their fairy forms and take their attacking position. The monster is about to attack them when Stella transports herself with Musa, Tecna, Flora and Celeste behind the monster. "Do it Flo!" Musa shouts at Flora who blasts the monster wrapping vines around its body.

Another monster makes an appearance making Musa and Tecna fly up in the sky. They both blast it with all their energies dismantling it and making bugs rain. That's the problem with Army of Darkness. It can never be destroyed. "They're like worms," Flora mentioned disgust lacing her voice.

"Yes, except they multiply exponentially," Tecna stated fearfully as the bugs came together and formed four different monsters. The monster wrapped in the vine dismantles itself and then reassembles into a much stronger monster leaving the girls gaping and grossed. I just hope Bloom and Amber return safely and quickly. They are the only ones who can help us now.

"Miss Faragonda look!" Flora cried out.

"There's more of them?" I asked shocked. "Send a group of senior spell masters to guard the gate," I ordered. I watched as a group of seniors flew towards the gate.

I watched in awe as Riven and Brandon defeated a monster masterfully, but unfortunately, the monster regenerated. If only we could stop the regeneration! It would be so much easier.

"Celeste watch out!" I heard Tecna and call out to my newest student who reacted immediately by dodging a flying monster.

"Thanks, Tech." she called out after she shot the monster away.

My eyes widened in horror as another one of the monsters gripped Tecna's hands in its paws and carried her to the sky. Tecna on the other hand just opened her digital wing cutting off the monster's paw and setting herself free.

I watched with pride as each and every person fought with all their might to help Alfea. We all helped each other and didn't let our friends get hurt. Timmy tried to keep the flying monsters away and Techna helped him. I and Griffin then manifested a purple orb which encased us carrying us out to the sky. We both cast a spell and all the monsters around us were destroyed. Finally! But much to my horror the monsters rose again. "I don't know what else to do!" I cried worriedly. "The more we fight, the stronger they seem to get!"

Bloom's POV:

"I have a bad feeling," I said. Sky and I were currently sitting opposite each other with a large fire between us. The leva bike was destroyed and we had walked quite a distance now. My nerves were on the edge but Sky did calm me down a little. He had decided that we should take a little break before we continue. I was unsure, though. "I don't think we should stop."

"Bad feeling or not, we've been through a lot Bloom." Sky said intensifying the fire with a stick. "We have gotta get some sleep."

"I can't sleep." I groaned. "I am too worried right now to relax!"

"I remember my first mission as a scout. It was in Ashon Gorge, and I couldn't sleep, not even a wink." Sky started closing his eyes nostalgia painted on his face.

"So… what did you do?" I asked pulling my knees closer to my chest.

"I just closed my eyes and thought of home," Sky replied with a smile.

"Well, that's easy for you to do. You know where your home is." I sighed.

"So do you." Sky smiled lying down, his hands supporting his head. "Bloom, nothing you have found out, changes where you came from." I imitated his actions and lied down. "While you are the last princess of Domino, you are also that down-to-earth girl from Gardenia. And that's a great thing." Sky encouraged.

I really appreciated his words and they did comfort me but I was still worried. "Sky…?" I called out as a sudden urge to tell him one thing on my mind surged through me.

"What is it?" He smiled sitting half-up.

It's not the good time. "Nothing." I think I heard a dejected sigh but didn't let it get to me. I must focus on my mission.

"Hey!" I heard a distinct familiar voice. "Bloom wake up!" I gasped and quickly stood up when I realized I had crashed. I must have been really tired. "We should go." The fire had burned out too.

"I didn't mean to crash like that!" I smiled sheepishly scratching my head. "Wow, how long did we sleep?" I hope it's not too long.

"Only a couple of hours, I think," Sky stated and we continued walking on our path. "With the sky the way it is, it's hard to say whether its day or night."

We were walking for quite a lot of time when suddenly I heard a voice, "Find me, Bloom," The voice startled me so much that I jumped to Sky clutching his hands, "Come to lake Resoluss." Why was the voice familiar though?

"Ok, don't tell me you didn't hear that," I said.

"What?" Sky asked still looking clueless.

"It's Daphne!" I remembered. "She's calling me…"

"Come Bloom…" I ran towards where the voice was trying to hear it. Why is it not saying more? We continued walking again. We had to go to Lake Resoluss."

I gasped when I suddenly saw a hoard of flying creatures heading towards Alfea. "We've to go to Magix immediately." Sky frowned.

"No, you go ahead! I have to go to Lake Resoluss right now." I said my face determined.

"Bloom, what are you talking about?"

"This voice I have been hearing, maybe it's not even Daphne, maybe it's a voice inside of me, but either way I have to go," I said tears brimming my eyes threatening to fall. I turned away from him and let some of them fall.

"Fine then I will go with you," Sky said coming after me.

"No Sky I have to do this alone, please understand!" I pleaded pushing him away.

For a second he looked conflicted. "All right! Just meet me in Magix in 2 hours, if you are not there I am coming to find you, Ok?"

"Ok…" I agreed walking away towards my destiny.

Amber's POV:

'Wake up! You must continue your journey!' I woke up with a sudden ache in my head. "Ugh!" I groaned. Will this voice ever let me sleep? Stretching my arms and yawning I looked at Dylan. I gasped out loud when I saw him looking at me with a smirk on his face. Oh my God! Don't tell me he saw me yawning like a fricking lion! Heat rose to my cheeks and I immediately pulled my hands down. "What are you looking at?" I asked consciously pushing a tuft of my hair behind my ears. I hope it's not a bird's nest right now!

"Um… just beautiful scenery." He smiled making me blush even more. "Well, we should continue with our journey now." He said holding out his hand for me.

"Thanks," I mumbled grabbing his hands and pulling myself up. "We don't have to walk too much now, I think." Dylan nodded smiling and we continued walking. "So Dylan tell me more about yourself."

"Hmm… as you know I am the prince of Saphreaphro. I love material arts; I have taken training in many of its forms. I have a younger sister who will be joining Alfea after 2 years. I love horse riding and archery."

"Really? I have learned archery too! It just gives me a different kind of strength. I had material arts in my school and I have learned the basics of it. It's fun, isn't it?" I smiled.

"It sure is," Dylan grinned back. There was a sudden noise from above us and we looked up to see the flying despicable monsters flying towards Alfea. "I think we must hurry," Dylan said turning serious.

"If only I could fly..." I mumbled dejectedly.

"It's ok, let us just hurry now," he suggested and we increased our pace.

After, 20 minutes we were standing in front of what looked liked the beginning of the enchanted forest. "I don't think we are very far now," I stated looking around. 'Find a Ficus Religiosa tree. There is only one in this forest and that's where Mista is.' "I know how this tree looks. Flora had once shown me its image."

Quickly, we entered the forest and set in search of the tree. It should be here somewhere. I know it. I was looking around my eyes zooming past all kinds of trees when it zeroed in on one kind of. "Found it!" I exclaimed happily and Dylan hurried towards me.

"Where is it?" He asked.

"There," I pointed out to the large green tree. It was a humongous tree with its branches spread out widely and vines hanging from it. Its leaves were lush green shaped in a heart. It was truly beautiful. We walked towards it with cautious steps our eyes searching for a particular person, or should I say spirit? "Mista?" I called out once we were close enough to the tree. "Are you here?" I asked extending my hand and caressing the bark of the tree.

"Amber... we finally meet again." I heard a voice and there stood the person I longed to see. Finally, I will get my answers.

Celeste's POV:

I was leaning against the wall my legs outstretched as I saw everyone looking around tired. Everyone's wiped and whipped, I don't think we will be able to survive another attack. NO! Positive thought! I should only think positively.

"Hey Celeste," Flora called out, "Let's go to Stella and Brandon."

I nodded with a smile and flew towards Stella. We flew in on them when Stella had Brandon's hands in hers and was talking to him lovey dovey.

"Aww, isn't that sweet?" Musa teased, "Nothing like little into the world romance."

"Ignore her." Flora smiled looking at the couple sweetly. "You guys are so cute together."

"True." I grinned. They could easily be a couple of the year.

We all cracked up when Stella threw Musa back with a pillow. Bu after few seconds everyone's smile fell. "I miss Bloom and Amber so much," Stella mumbled sadly. The air around us became heavy and we all settled onto the ground sighing sadly.

Brandon consoled us ensuring us that the four of them were capable enough to return to Alfea safely. Just then, Timmy and Riven walked up to us. "Wassup?" I asked.

"Faragonda has called an assembly," Timmy said making us all gasp. I hope it's nothing too serious.

Miss Faragonda and Griffin congratulated us on our hard work and were teaching us how we could all; fairy, witches, and heroes, worked our magic together we may be able to succeed. We were about to get started on it when we were interrupted by the stupid creatures again. Ugh! And this time it was double the amount. We all quickly got into action and started pushing the monsters back. A gasp of horror left my lips when I saw a monster destroy one tower of Alfea. How could he?

Summoning my one of the most powerful attack I hit the monster successfully knocking it down. That despicable thing deserved it.

"Faries of Alfea, this is our moment! Focus your powers into one attack!" Miss F. guided and we quickly complied.

"Witches of Cloudtower, unite your powers with the fairies." Miss Griffin shouted and the witches obeyed.

We all came together and focused on all our powers and giving it our all. After what felt like forever we opened our eyes to see everything gone. There was a moment of silence. No one spoke a word. But after that moment passed a loud cheer escaped past our lips. We won! They were gone! Yess! Amber, Bloom, please come fast!

Icy's POV:

I can't believe they defeated this wave! Ugh! This is enough! We are going to attack tomorrow. Tomorrow will be our final attack. And we are going to crush them and finish them once for and all.
