Agent Sluka hopped into the pilot chair and looked out through the front viewer over the waves for a moment and then looked back at Sal. Like him, she was still dressed in her form fitting diving suit. Wow, he concluded again as he looked at her. She looked at him for a moment, almost a grimace, and then sat in the copilot seat next to him. He laughed. "Sorry for being presumptuous about who would pilot," Agent Sluka said. "But these shuttles are not limited to the Inquisitorius and I've piloted them on several occasions before." He ignited the thrusters to the shuttle and began to pilot it over the waves.
"No problem," she laughed, then stared at him for a moment without speaking. "Lately, I've taken command of the cells I've operated with and I've gotten used to it." She looked back over her shoulder into the seating behind her and Agent Sluka. No signs of co-travelers had been found, but equipment cases were sitting in several of the seats. "We took in a good haul today," she said. "We have a practical supply shop full of gear as well as a small armory of blasters and explosives. That's not to mention the lightsaber you grabbed from the corpse of the Unnamed King's servant, the five lightsabers we found in storage, the one we took from the Inquisitor and the double-bladed one he was issued." She turned back to Agent Sluka. "Add to that the armored hovercraft in the back and an actual shuttle. We've garnered a pretty good haul," she laughed.
"A haul?" Agent Sluka asked. What's she talking about?
"A haul like the Pirate Marita Corilla always snatched," she snapped back with a laugh. "With the passage data to safely enter the Morkai Anomaly, we even have a segue into the next story."
"Marita Corilla?" Agent Sluka replied in a questioning manner. "Never heard of him."
"Her," Sal answered. "You've never read 'The Pirate Adventures of Marita Corilla'? What did you do growing up?" she asked.
"My Dad ran the Underworld where I grew up," Agent Sluka said. "I wasn't a princess," he added and then immediately regretted it. "I'm sorry," he said. "I didn't do much reading before he died, and afterward…'The Pirate Adventures of Marita Corilla' wasn't readily available in the Imperial Academy on Albin 2."
"It should have been," Sal laughed in response.
"Maybe I'll fix that," Agent Sluka said. "But more importantly, because it is for right now, let's go grab some supplies for the voyage to the Morkai Anomaly and make sure the Alinde Cats we left behind haven't torn down the resort."
Thus ends Episode 6 of The Adventures of Agent Malgo Sluka, ISB
